A sincere “Thank you” to everyone that helped make this unleash event a HUGE success! Calvary families donated 456 shoeboxes and 483 were collected from families in the surrounding communities. Please pray that these shoeboxes are a blessing to the children that receive them.

WHAT IS IT?
RTMC Inc. rebuilds the homes and lives of the nation’s most vulnerable homeowners (widows, elderly, veterans) at no cost to those served. Skilled and unskilled volunteers from all ages, faiths, and walks of life come together to repair and rehabilitate the homes of those in need. This year, 150 volunteers are needed for the following projects: ramps, concrete, painting, doors, bathrooms, and yard work.

COST?
No cost to you other than your time. From our offerings, Calvary Church is paying for the repairs on one of the four homes we will be working on. Corporate sponsorships and donations pay for the rest.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED?
Drop by the booth in the Calvary Commons to sign up and complete a waiver agreement. Or, get more information and a waiver at rebuildingtogethermuscatine.org. Kids under 16 need to have a parent on-site with them.

Kids Against Hunger:::April 29

Through Kids Against Hunger, we will be packaging highly nutritious, life-saving meals for starving children and malnourished children and their families. This is how it works:

Teams of 12 people will form an assembly line to efficiently package dried ingredients into bags.
First teams will begin at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 29. Teams will start on the hour each hour after that through 6:00 pm.
Each team will package about 1,700 meals in their hour of work. The cost of the meals is $500, which comes to about $42 recommended gift per team member.
This effort will be funded through individual gifts. If you cannot participate on April 29, you may still give to the effort by placing a check (made out to Calvary Church) in the regular service offering. Please note “KAH” in your check memo line.
Not all teams will be able to raise the $500 cost as a team. That is understood. We encourage everyone to give as they can, sacrificially. There are many who will not be able to participate on a team, but they can participate financially! Your donation can be placed in the Calvary offering. Make checks payable to Calvary Church and note “KAH” in the memo line of your check.
