Good news, the library now has a new blog which includes a calendar of events as well. Now you can stay on top of information and activities going on in the library.

The catalog is available again.
Due to scheduled maintenance, the UH Library Catalog will be unavailable on Tuesday, July 10, from 9:00am to 6:00pm. While the catalog is down, users will not be able to search the catalog for materials or check on their availability. You may, however, try searching the library's collection through WorldCat to find titles and call numbers for items you need; WorldCat will not display whether an item is checked out, but many items' call numbers are listed under the "class descriptors" field in the item record.
This will also prevent people from logging into their My Interlibrary Loan accounts as well.
We expect the catalog will be fully available again after 6:00pm.
We now have a library research guide focused on resources for developing excellence in teaching in higher education. The guide includes a list of recent books, periodical articles and other resources devoted to the topic. In addition, there is a link to the report from the University task force and their recommendations. Related research guides on Core Curriculum 2014 and College Student Success and Retention are linked to this guide.

Summer terms are going and they go fast. With less time to do research you should take a look at the Library Research guides.
Subject guides are listed alphabetically by subject on the research guide page. They can point you to good places to start your research in that feild.
Class guides are subject related also, but tailored to the needs of specific classes. They are also listed on the research guide page in the top dropdown menu.
The library tests out databases periodically to see if they would be useful for students and faculty before purchasing. Now we would like your input as well.
We have set up a page listing our current trials, a brief description, and when the trial access will end. Please feel free to use the star rating system, or the feedback for to give us more detailed info about what you like or don't like.
