From
Rev. David McArthur (edited
by Mike McGuire, not reviewed by the speaker)

Journey into the heart Bre'r
Rabbit had the mopes—he had lost the race to the tortoise and other
things were going wrong. So Mrs. Rabbit sent him to the Witch Rabbit
deep in the swamp, and it was getting dark. This represents the
journey into the heart—a difficult journey. Not everyone gets
there. We usually let our brains list all the ways we are not
better, not good enough, or not strong enough. Doesn't fear come
right in?

First,
Witch Rabbit sends Bre'r Rabbit to catch a squirrel. That's your
first step—grab your squirrelly thoughts and “tie them up in a
bag”.

2nd,
Bre'r Rabbit has to get a snake hiding in the grass. It looks
menacing. It embodies fear. When
we run into the experience of fear it stops us and our knowledge of
the beautiful power within shuts down. Bre'r Rabbit
sweet-talks the snake and when it relaxes, he snares it, holds it up,
and goes. If our attention is solely on the fearful thing, that's
all we see. Do we put our attention on the threat of the snake or
on the wisdom in our hearts? When our attention is on the heart and
what it's telling us, we open and the knowledge comes. It doesn't
mean the challenges won't cause pain. But we go into overcare, which
is when we focus so much on the hurt or danger, especially for the
people we care for, that we don't go to the guidance in the heart.
We let fear of what could
occur stop the unfoldment of the greater good. It is not that you
fear something that is not really possible, but turn from the fear to
the heart. Grab the snake and go.

Lastly,
take that fear to the heart and follow the guidance within, even if
the path is not fully seen. Bre'r Rabbit's final task was to get a
tusk from the elephant in the forest. He has no idea how he'll do
it, but he goes to get it anyway. The elephant runs into a tree and
the tusk just falls off. Sometimes we just have to take on the fear
of power we see “out there” over us. But the power (and fear) is
in
us.
Part of the gift of taking on the fear and finding the wisdom is
that the fear falls away. It no longer has power over you. That's
when it's fun!

Rev. David McArthur (edited
by Mike McGuire, not reviewed by the speaker)

Kimeli,
a young Maasai African, lived in a rural village that did not even
have roads. He had no father, and was considered a lower human. But
Kimeli admired the generosity of doctors, and wanted to be a generous
doctor. And there is always the next step. So Kimeli ran away to a
town that had a school, and the headmaster allowed him to attend.
From there he applied to colleges in America. The University of
Oregon offered a scholarship. Grants from a benefactor in Florida
let him attend. Subsequently he got his masters from Stanford! If
he can do it without resources...

What's
impossible doesn't bother God. There is a flow of abundance that is
completely inconsistent with what we “know”. But it tells us
there is more to this consciousness. What this is, is when you say
“yes”, that's your purpose. It constantly unfolds in our lives.
And in this time of powerful human consciousness, you can always go
deeper! We are on purpose! The universe opens up and provides. It
is “fulfillment”. The whole universe is wired to fulfill your
purpose!

On
9/11 Kimeli wanted to respond to the pain he saw in Americans. Now
held in honor, he went to his tribe at “storytime”. (Without
technology, they communicate through their stories.) Kimeli went and
told how the generous people in America were hurting. The Maasai
couldn't even conceive of a place like New York City. But he asked
for permission from the elders to give his cow to the Americans. In
Kenya, a person's cow is their most important possession. Having one
is comfort, it is security, it is life. The Maasai were very touched
by his story and decided to give 14 cows! They asked the American
ambassador to receive their gift. At the ceremony a thousand Maasai
in full warrior dress sang the Star Spangled Banner with their hands
over their hearts!

Kimeli's
response had been one of compassion and generosity. All along the
way he had a consciousness of generosity. Jesus taught, as you give
you will receive. Abundance comes not to us or for us, but through
us. “...for
God so loved the world that he gave his only son. For who so
ever
believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life.”
This quote is mostly used in other ways, but here are the words love
and give. What is given is the Son—the divine pattern, the Christ,
the Atman, the Buddha Mind, the I Am. Out of love. Jesus showed us
the pattern and it is in everyone of us. God doesn't give because we
ask, but because it is the very nature of the divine. God can't
reject. Yes, we can reject, but it is not in God's nature. Life
always flows abundantly.

And
there is always the next step. This week look for the opportunity to
be more generous, every day, with your time, understanding,
compassion. Listen. “Divine
generosity flows freely through me.”
This is when it gets to be fun! It's ok to give away the cow!

forth your power. Align with each level of the trinity of your
being—MIND, BODY and SPIRIT. Live the “charmed” life of a
spiritual being in a physical body. We are created by the goodness
of the universe, so all the power of the universe is in us.

the Divine MIND Truth and align with it, bring it into your MIND.
Chant it, affirm it, speak it throughout the day every day until you
KNOW it. Then bring it into your physical BODY. FEEL it in every
cell in your BODY, displacing belief in tiredness and illness. “I
feel I am whole!” No feeling; no healing. Once you feel it,
Spirit takes it out into the BODY of your affairs.

Holy SPIRIT is our liaison with the mind of God, and is always
available. Sit in quiet. Write your question at the top of a sheet
of paper. Start by praying 3 times, “Come, Holy SPIRIT”. The
response is actually palpable. You will feel it. Then ask. You
will be guided as to “What is mine to do?”

is not peaceful,
God is peace.
Live life as if you ARE blessed, charmed, powerful.

Steps
to “Living the Charmed Life”: Accept your power. It's yours.
Affirm it. “I accept the divine power that flows through me, as
me!” Learn. Discover what you're capable of. Apply the powers in
the laboratory of your life.  Apply; apply. Practice; practice;
practice. Face and vanquish your demons of fear, judgment, hurt,
anger, etc. They prevent you from standing in your power. Don't run
from your doubts and fears. They are illusions and are not as
powerful as you believe. Once you shine the light they disappear.
Don't let them and their relatives move in. Bar the door. Lastly,
protect the innocent—the innocent that you are. We have not lost
our innocence. We are still the pure, innocent beings we were with
God before the world was made.

Be
the Christ in the world. When you walk out all suited up in your
power you will begin to bring transformation into the world! Your
light will shine so brilliantly! People will feel it.

Pray
the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi as “Lord, make me an instrument
of your POWER. Where there is hatred, let me so love...” and so
on. You are the beloved of God. It is God's good pleasure to
support you in living the charmed life!

From
Rev. David McArthur (edited
by Mike McGuire, not reviewed by the speaker)

A Mystical Experience. The
accomplished pianist Komiko tells that when she was 13, she went
snorkeling, and a trio of dolphins came and played all around her.
Imagine the joy, the beauty, the very quality of life in that moment!
Thereafter she awakened nightly to music. She could see the notes
and would write them down. It was a mystical experience. She could
see more clearly the amazing beauty of life itself. She saw the
experience of the presence of God as beauty, and was transformed.

The only thing to see. You
know the only thing that is there is the presence of God, so the only
thing to see is the beauty. Like Harry Potter, use your magic wand
to direct the intention of both your mind (which focuses) and the
power of your heart (which transforms). Focus your intention. Then,
when you are ready, use the very special incantation “Reveal
the Beauty. Reveal the Beauty. Reveal the Beauty”.
It isn't often instantaneous. Sometimes you have to try pretty
hard, but it is always there. It transforms barriers.

The
Navajo pray

In
beauty may I walk; All day long may I walk
Through the returning
seasons may I walk...
On the trail marked with pollen may I
walk
With grasshoppers about my feet may I walk
With dew about
my feet may I walk; With beauty may I walk.
With beauty before me
may I walk; With beauty behind me may I walk
With beauty above me
may I walk; With beauty all around me may I walk
In old age,
wandering on a trail of beauty, lively, may I walk...
It is
finished in beauty; It is finished in beauty

Use the spell. It
is the heart of the mystical experience. You experience the touch of
the divine. Your homework this week is to use the spell, the
intention to transform, to reach through and see that beauty. And
treasure the result! Then turn that wand inward upon yourself and
“Reveal
the Beauty”
there, for you are the presence of that beauty, the presence of the
divine!

What is love, really? Charles
Fillmore, that great American mystic, said that the faculty of love
is the greatest power of man, the greatest of all our capacities.
“The
pure essence of Being that binds together the whole human family...
that joins and binds in divine harmony the universe and everything in
it; the great harmonizing principle known to man. Divine love is
impersonal; it loves for the sake of loving. … Like the sun, its
joy is in the shining forth of its nature. … Love is the great
harmonizer and healer.”

Compassion. A
woman, Nettie, remembered that when she was 12 she joined other kids
in meanly ridiculing her twin sister, who was severely disabled and
seen as a freak in their small town. So her mother put her alone in
a room with only a photo album. It was filled with pictures of the
twins since they were small. Nettie saw the pain that her sister had
endured over the years. One picture was inscribed, “The doctors
give me pain. Nettie makes me laugh.” She realized what she had been doing and
the hurt she had caused her sister. At that moment she changed.

Flow. Love
is always there. It flows like a spigot that's always dripping. We
can choose how much to turn it on. That flow takes you to
intelligence. It is
intelligence, a capacity to understand that helps us resolve the
differences, that illuminates and harmonizes. What unifies us rather
than separates us is
love.
You don't have to know how.

You know what to do. A four
year old liked to go to the house next door. One day his mother
watched as he crawled up beside the neighbor on the front porch
swing. The man had recently lost his wife of many years. As she
watched her son coming back home, she asked what he did there. He
answered, “I helped him cry.” If a four year old knows what to
do, so do you. Remove that which separates us. You are
love. It takes us from that place of separation to that place of
wholeness and harmony. It goes far beyond the walls and heals and
harmonizes. Feel the spigot open as you say, “I
am a radiating center of divine love.” YES
YOU ARE!

From
Rev. David McArthur (edited
by Mike McGuire, not reviewed by the speaker)

Our journey of consciousness. Aladdin
lived in poverty and always felt he had to take from others. As we
do at this level, he felt like a victim. At this “miserable
sinner” level we are asleep to divine love. Then when adversity
shows up we feel it proves we are of no value. Through adversity,
though, Aladdin is brought to caves filled with treasure (the
subconscious) where he finds many many beautiful things. When you
overcome adversity, you feel power. This changed Aladdin's
consciousness. Feeling that he now had some power, some value, he
didn't need to steal. And he could love. Goodness showed up out of
the bad. At this level we are still asleep, but how we think of
ourselves has changed. We feel we can
get a little good from life, from the adversity, from the bad.

Spiritual awakening. You are not miserable sinners. Then
Aladdin sees the princess and falls in love. The head experiences
the heart. Aladdin now has purpose. He
feels he has value. He now sees that power is for serving the
purpose, to serve wholeness. The genie (which fulfills the power of
the heart) creates for Aladdin and the princess their own palace away
from the Sultan, who is the Father figure. (They woke up; they now
know they are children of God.) At this level, you know you are fine
and wonderful just the way you are. The world loves you.

There is only good and more good. Then
the princess and the palace were taken by the sorcerer and Aladdin
knew “it had been too good to be true”. This is believing in 2
powers, good and bad. As long as you believe it, it'll show up. But Aladdin went back to the heart.
The resolution was not through the thoughts (Aladdin) but through the
heart (the princess). She denied life to the 2nd
power (the sorcerer); she killed him. Love overcomes fear. That's
the gift.

The truth. The
One Power dwells within man and all other beings and throughout the
universe. One. In the heart, which knows the truth, there is no
fear. No tension. No nervousness. You are at one with every other
living person on Earth. No separateness. You have touched this
oneness—with babies, with good friends, or in the silence. Nothing
else is real. We can manifest and play with a 2nd
power, but it is not the truth. God is good all the time! There is
only one presence, one power—the all loving goodness of God! And
that's the truth!

We are one. We really
are
one. It doesn't look that way. It appears that you are separate
from me. Emilie Cady said, “Man,
who is at first living in the selfish animal part of himself, will
grow up ...to the divine or spiritual understanding wherein he knows
that he is one with the Father...”
The Father is the part of the divine that loves and cares for us,
and is within us, yet is infinite.

You are one with that other
political candidate, and more troubling, all those people you just
don't get who support that candidate. When watching the debate, I
first felt condescension for them. It was an experience of
separation, viewing them as less
than.
It was uncomfortable. I thought maybe I should try something
different. I stepped back and I saw that all the people really
cared. A sense of connection took place. I stepped farther back and
saw all the country experiencing a polarization which hurt, and I
felt compassion. How difficult it is to work with those hugely
complex issues! And I saw that the polarity blocks clarity, and our
fears are surfacing. When we fail to see that the One Power cares
for us all, we instead empower our fears. We see ourselves as
separate and different. We fail to see our oneness unfolding in the
most important vote, which is for care.

All you see you are. This
world can't see beyond its opposites, or see our oneness. That comes
from within us. Jean Houston: “I was no longer just Jean Houston,
age 6. I had awakened to a consciousness that spanned centuries.
Everything was important. It was as if I knew everything, was
connected to everything. I was an infinite being.” She said,
“It's your true self.” Alfred Lord Tennyson told that from
boyhood he frequently had a “waking trance” in which it was as if
individuality was gone and he was part of the “boundless pure
being”. Vedanta teaches “Thou art that. All you see you are.
Thou art one with the Universal Being. Every soul is your soul.
Every body is your body. The Universe is my body.” We journey to
consciously touch and know that.

This
beautiful connection teaches us our oneness. We sense the presence,
the power, the oneness. We touch that beautiful wisdom moving
through life, and see that God is good all the time! God is good all
the time! All the time God is good! Practice this chance to vote
for love!

You hypocrite! “Why
do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no
attention to the plank in your own eye?” But looking to fix others only brings you back to
fixing yourself. Most of you are self help addicts. But “you will
wake up and know you don't need fixin'.” An alignment is all
that's needed. “It's a time shift into silk and a field
environment of love.”

Appreciation. A
business woman confessed, “I am the queen of roadrage!” She went
on to say that every morning when she pulled out onto the highway to
go to work, she felt every car was out to get her. By the time she
got to work she was already exhausted and out of sorts, and everyone
knew it. But now she was telling of a discovery she had made.
Appreciation. She had a whole new attitude from appreciating things.
On the drive to work now, she appreciated the road and the scenery
on the way. When she got to work, she appreciated she had work. She
had committed to an experience of appreciation. It's alignment. Use
appreciation for alignment day after day. “It's a time shift into
silk and a field environment of love.” It comes from all the great
teachers. “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and
all these things will be given to you as well.” It's

one another. Appreciation is a part of love. is also a part of love, and finding that spiritual center is
alignment. It is all that's needed. Lao-tzu,

the small child who takes you by the finger and brings you into her
world, connect with someone who loves you. It's always there! You
are a beloved child of God! And the One who loves you is within.
Reach in and take a hold of it! It's always there. It cannot not be
there.

will wake up and know you don't need “fixin'”. Not now, not
ever. The great thing is neither does anyone else! Phew! That
makes it easier. There is an alignment—that's all that's needed!

From
Rev. David McArthur (edited
by Mike McGuire, not reviewed by the speaker)

The divine presence within. In
a monastery in a beautiful valley, the monks were growing older. The
abbot was concerned about the monastery surviving. His friend the
rabbi couldn't think of any way to help, but told the abbot, “I
dreamt one of your monks was the messiah.” The abbot shared this
with the monks. Silently, each wondered which brother it might be,
or even if it might not be himself. So each one resolved to do
better. As if a special wind had blown through the monastery,
activity increased. The monks' efforts to serve others and the
surrounding community increased. Once again men from the community
became interested in joining the order.

What
a difference it makes when we see the beautiful divine presence in
each other and within ourselves!

The real source of abundance. Another
community saw how their old buildings no longer served them. After
seeking guidance they decided to renew their place. There had just
been enough money to meet existing needs, but different members
pledged to do more. Then in their country a great recession hit, and
fear gripped everyone. Some in the community lost their jobs, some
lost their houses. They again prayed. “Should we go forward?”
A curious answer came back that yes, they should go forward. They
knew the real source of their abundance. In the face of the fear,
they each committed to give from their resources. They built a
beautiful center for themselves and all who hear of it. And the
times got better for all. It had to start somewhere.

The
change came from how they began to see each other—how they saw the
divine in each other—and, what's even harder, seeing the divine
within themselves. It is easy to see who that was, as today we are
celebrating our second year in our new buildings. The commitment we
made was to honor the divine love that we are. Say to each other, “I
commit to honor the love you are.” “I commit to being Divine
Love in action.”

Power. Wholeness. Wisdom. Abundance. You
cannot choose
to be divine love—it is what you are! You cannot get away from it.
But you can commit to putting divine love into action.
That is what is the power! The wholeness! The wisdom! The
abundance! You
are!

From
Rev. David McArthur (edited

You have the power. Dr.
Hew Len, in Hawaii, healed so many patients that the ward was closed
in just three years. He did this without therapy. He did it by
working on himself, using Ho'o pono pono. We
believe what is out there is a reflection of what we have within. If
it is in your world it is a part of you. If you don't like what you
see, you can clean it out. You have the power to change it.

To transform. The
divine always expresses to us in wholeness and harmony. You cannot
hold back the divine wholeness within you, the perfection which is
you. So when something shows up, use these four steps. However,
while thinking them might make a difference, it will not transform
you. To transform, instead of saying
“I
love you”, feel
it. Thinking is nice, but doing
the loving is transformative.

it, if you want transformation. Your
love goes to that part of yourself that is out-picturing the
disharmony. The part of you which is divine love goes to it, too,
and has all the power. It is
waiting for you to ask.

free to let go. If you remain in your head, your head will give you
all the reasons “they” were wrong. Reasons don't matter here.
Have the willingness to let go. “I

is “Please
forgive me.” FEEL
the deep desire for freedom. The disharmony has no place in your
life anymore. Ask
the divine presence to remove it, to free
you fully.

it is easy. We FEEL fully the appreciation for, and complete
acceptance of, what is given.

God
will heal anything in your heart. She will remove any limits, if you
want to feel better.

A
NASA rocket was hopelessly off course. It had no self guidance
system, and one of the scientists knew they had no control. She went
to prayer. She had done some Ho'o pono pono work before, so she
called Dr. Len in Hawaii who does the “unseen” work. With his
guidance, she told the rocket, “I love you”. They worked the four
steps of Ho'o pono pono, and the rocket self-corrected!

What
are you one with? Ask yourself. —That amazing power!

“Thank
you!”

want to touch something new. When we pray we connect with the divine
presence and hold in mind someone we care about. Then we want the
universe to bring healing to them. But there is a teaching that what
is out there is a reflection of what is within us, and we can get rid
of it. So we have some control. We can do something.

All is within. Dr.
Hew Len was counselor for the criminally insane at a Hawaiian
hospital . The patients had committed the most violent, heinous
crimes. But Dr. Len didn't meet with the patients. He didn't
interview anybody. He practiced ho'o pono pono. It says all
is within, so he worked on himself! Several weeks passed and the
customary daily violence in the ward lessened. Inmates began
cooperating and forming into active, productive groups. With the
exception of only two inmates, the entire ward of thirty patients was
healed in three years and the ward was closed. “I had to take
completely within myself the responsibility for what I was
experiencing. I had to clear myself of toxic thoughts and replace
them with love.”

Violence stopped. Gandhi's
approach was slightly different. Observing the violence as India
struggled for national freedom, he fasted to remove from within
himself whatever might have contributed to the violence that he saw
outside himself. He practiced a complete focus and dependence on the
love of God. The violence stopped.

Whether in the collective unconscious or a memory pattern. Is
it all here, inside? You don't need to understand. Spirit will
bring meaning to you. Just hold the idea in your heart in neutral.

Power to transform. When
you see that which you want healed, the response is these words: “I
love you.” Whether it is a reflection from the collective
unconscious within, or a remembered pattern, the response is “I
love you.”
If
you want to free someone in your world, say, “I love you.” To
that within yourself, say “I love you.” To that Divine Presence,
say, “I love you.”

What
an amazing way to learn our oneness! —That you have the power
within to transform the world around you. You have that power and I
share it with you simply because “I love you!”

Rev. David McArthur, with Dr. Len Saputo

(edited by Mike McGuire, not reviewed by the speakers)

The most effective bio-feedback instrument ever created tells us when it's time to do some spiritual work. It's called the
body. Spiritual Life comes into the world, and into our experience,
as the body. Dr.
Len Saputo supports us via the medical profession. “My work and
your work, [David], is the same work.” Body attune-ment can be
medical or spiritual. The body is not just different parts, but one
thing—integrated mind, body, and spirit. We are spiritual beings
on a physical path.

A life-threatening case. Two
years ago Dr. Saputo had a hip replacement but developed a
life-threatening case of cobalt poisoning. “I made peace with God
because I was totally convinced I would die.” Dr. Saputo's
colleagues were convinced he had an infection, as the cobalt
poisoning in this kind of situation was relatively unknown. But Dr.
Saputo's insight and guidance from within said it was something
different. “God and I had a chat. I became humble; I knew dying
was not my decision. But I had family and friends; I had knowledge
to share. So I let go and told God, 'Whatever it is You want, it's
ok.'” Where ever you go there are always advisers, but the decider
is always within. “It was frightening to go against my colleagues.
But my heart was telling me something different.” After the
second hip replacement surgery, Dr.Saputo was told there was no
infection. It had been the cobalt poisoning.

Evolve to a higher level of consciousness. Ask, “How can
I be of service; what can I give or share?” It's a matter of
Trust. Let go and let God do the work. He knows what he's doing.
All the worry in the world won't solve anything. And when we accept
our inner guidance there comes a feeling of peace. It's part of
knowing we are really connected—the overwhelming feeling of peace.

Come forward into the next level of service and purpose
of life. Say, “yes”. You can revolve
around all that's going wrong in our world, or you can stop and
evolve.
Just do the first foot of your “1000 mile journey”. Without you
doing it, it won't happen. That will change the world, little by
little. You might evolve a few friends, or a city! Do it together
and we will have a better world!

That
spiritual flow is you—you are the wisdom and power that is here to
uplift the world. Say yes!

Symbols of Healing As
a spiritual being journeying through a human experience, we go
through the experience of healing. The dream of a young school girl
shows us the symbols of healing-- “Stepping out of the forest she
sees a beautiful stream with a sandy bottom, but no water is flowing.
Along the sides there are bowls of water, so water is present but
not flowing. Upstream there is a large rock outcropping, appearing
to block the flow. Down stream there are more large stones. She
asks, “Where is the water?” Water itself seems to answer her,
welling up over the rocks upstream and filling the stream before
her.”

Myrtle Fillmore heals herself of terminal TB The
young girl with the dream was Myrtle Fillmore. When a grown woman she developed
tuberculosis and was given less than 2 years to live. Interpreting
her childhood dream, she explained that the flow of water was the
flow of life inside her, and that the lack of flow was her experience
of the TB. She then healed herself over a period of two years by taking the time everyday to go
and be alone. She had a second empty chair there with her. She said
it represented the presence of Jesus Christ, which she referred to as
that consciousness of Jesus committed to the full awareness of the
Christ, master over the physical world. Thus she was thereby taking
complete responsibility for her physical well being.

Hear
the love she brings to her body in this process as she directed these
words to various parts of her body: (speak them aloud to bring in a
powerful healing vibration)

My
liver is full of vigor and energy.

My
stomach is not weak or inefficient, but energetic and strong.

My
abdomen is all a-thrill with the sweet, pure, wholesome energy of
God.

My
eyes express the sight of Spirit, drawing upon an unlimited source.
They are young, clear, bright eyes shining the light of God right
through them.

In
my heart the pure love of Christ flows in and out by its beating.

The
life centers in my body are free unlimited Spirit, centers of life
and energy omnipresent.

I
do not let any worried or anxious thoughts into my mind.

Jesus
Christ is with me and helps me to think and speak only kind, loving,
true words.

Remember
you are free unlimited Spirit. What fun it is to tell your body to
get well and get going!

Whatever
is within our awareness is part of our consciousness. This is not
always comfortable now that we know we are one with the power that
makes us. Remember the good old days when we could blame our
problems on someone else? Now it's, “What is this that shows up in
my world?”

Healing power. Byron
and Marsha Smith were shocked when Byron's MRI came back showing
inoperable cancer. He was given a month or two to live. The
following day was spent sharing their special memories of their love
together. Then friends and relatives remembered them in prayer,
including Marsha's father who told them when he prayed he clearly got
the feeling everything would be all right. By going from fear to
love Byron and Marsha opened another possibility, a whole other level
of power and energy which healed Byron—he was subsequently found to
be cancer-free! With darkness gone, full potential was embraced.

Eastern
philosophy says this world is transient illusion. The Bhagavad Gita
says that for those who love Krishna, he will dwell in their hearts
and destroy darkness born of ignorance with the shining lamp of
knowledge. But isn't there something missing, something more?

The ultimate experience of understanding and love. Jesus
went further, saying, “Love
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your mind...
And
the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
He also said "...as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you
did it to me."
When you see someone else with a problem, it is part of your
consciousness. So ask, “What is mine to do?” If
Krishna is in the heart, who have you loved when you love your
neighbor?

Whatever
is going on now in your world where there is a limit—physical pain,
poor relationships, financial difficulty—if you choose to love, the
barriers will be removed. No matter who or what it is, just send
your love. That is the greatest teaching. Then what is there is
filled with light. You are divine light. That's what you are. Call
it Krishna, Jesus, or God, it is love. Affirm, “I
am divine love. I am transforming my world.”
We have work ahead, and it's going to be fun!

From
Rev. David McArthur (edited
by Mike McGuire, not reviewed by the speaker)

Eeyore in us. On
their way to see Eeyore, Pooh and Piglet stop at a warm place in the
wood. “We'll call this Pooh Corner.” And using sticks piled up
nearby, they build Eeyore a house, as they think he has none. At
about the same time Eeyore knocks on Christopher Robin's door. Even
though he lived in the coldest, gloomiest part of the wood, he wanted
to go home—but his house was gone! (Christopher Robin represents
the Christ Spirit; the Hundred Acre Wood is His and He takes care of
everything in it.)

They meet Pooh and Piglet who want to show them
the house they built for Eeyore. However, it soon becomes apparent
to them that they had used the pile of sticks Eeyore had up until
then called home. But look! See how nice this new home is! And
Eeyore agrees that it is as warm and nice as they say. Is Eeyore in
any of us? Do we build in an uncomfortable place just because we're
convinced it “had to be that way”? It might be the health thing,
the relationship thing, or that chewing-on-yourself-inside thing.

From fear to power.The
doctor told Mandy Hastings that even if her two year old son lives,
he'll be severely handicapped. “No,” she said, “he will be
fine.” A gravestone had fallen over onto her boy's head, and while
she and her husband were waiting for lifeflight, she prayed. She
says a peace swept over her and she heard, “Everything's going to
be fine. Matthew is in My hands.” Yes, she most likely began
praying from fear, but she moved her attention off of the data
pouring in (that her brain was using to figure out how bad things
were).

She moved from fear to that place of love and connection with
divine presence and power. Look
for that level that brings forth health and vitality. You don't need
to ask anymore for anything. It is there within you. You are that
power, that force.
The boy was home in two weeks, and is a happy, healthy teen today.

You are divine energy. Take
a glance at what you're building. If it's “not quite enough” or
“just enough to get by” or “that's just the way I am”—it is
the Eeyore within you. Activate the greater potential within you
through the experience of the love, the pure light of energy of the
divine which you are. Build your house, and live, at “Pooh
Corner”!

a restaurant, a four year old is asked by the waitress, “What can I
get for you?” He answers, “A puppy!” He thinks everybody is
getting whatever they want. We really believe that whatever
we want we can have. Some times we feel, though, that we have to
earn it to have the entitlement, to have the authority. But Jesus
said, “does not scripture say that we are gods?”

deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that
we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness
that most frightens us... You are a child of God. Your playing small
does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about
shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are
all meant to shine, as children do.”

athletes from around the world keep their hearts and minds on what
they pursue. So too must we become fortified, grounded in truth, and
reach a higher plateau for our lives. We must be rooted like a tree
which withstands the storms when they come. And as each athlete is a
part of a very dynamic team, so are we. Affirm, “We
are all on the same team.”
Like the five rings in the Olympics symbol are intertwined and
represent the five geographical “hearts” of the world, our
hearts, too, are intertwined—on the cellular level and
intergalactically! It is decreed by God.

Transformation. We
can transform our lives. Prayer changes things. (God is so good!)
When we are in our storm and wavering in fear it is not time to think
of yourself, but to give of yourself. Be in prayer with others in
their need and members on your team will also “hold the space”
for you. They are champions; we are champions.

Authority. When
you know Who You are, not who you think you are, you know you are the
author with a pen to re-write your destiny, and you have the
authority. “I am a child or manifestation of God and every moment
in this life love, wisdom, and power flow through me. I am One with
God.”

are the only one like you on Earth and in any universe. You can no
longer afford to be diminished. Like a child, let your heart-light
shine!

From Pet Peeves to Peace

noreply@blogger.com (Rev. There's a down-side to our spiritual growth, which is knowing we can and need to transform our feelings of frustration, irritation, even rage; our Pet Peeves.

We spend so much time in non-peace—hostility, anger, upset, Righteous Indignation!—but it's lying to ourselves. It's not harmony; we don't feel our spiritual truth. We need to shift, to get to the heart. We know how. And we now know we can extend that shift to those around us so that we are in harmony together.

But when we do shift, we ask ourselves, “Why did I wait all that time?” It's because when we indulge in our pet peeves, it feels good! But we stay out of our peace. And by practicing our little peeves that don't matter we build up our non-peace pettiness to have when it does matter. So ask yourself, “What am I here for?”

There is something within each of us that, the longer we are on our spiritual journey, the more loudly it calls to us. Jesus taught that the Christ peace is from within, from the being that you really are. Look at the little things. When you move in peace you are that presence which moves through you.

When the Roman soldiers arrested Jesus, and one had an ear cut off, Jesus healed it, saying, “No more of this.” No more hostility, it was time to heal. Because of that beautiful peace in all of us, we hear, “no more of this; time to heal.” It is time we go about this. Get out of your irritation and into peace. Focus on your heart and go to that love and compassion there. You can have compassion for someone who doesn't know any better. Gandhi quickly forgave the ruffians who beat him up, realizing they did not know any better. They did not know, either, the feeling of seeing the beauty in another.

Am I here to add to the tensions of this world or to add peace? It's my choice.

For this week shift from irritation to peace at every opportunity because you are the peace. It is not the peace which you are finding, but the real YOU. “I am the presence of peace here and now.” Because it is who you really are. Yes you are, and you are magnificent!
What is in your heart? You might say, “Give me a hint!” Jesus said it's not your duty or station – “What is that to you? Follow me.” He said “me” as the Christ self rather than as “Jesus”. As humankind has awakened to the divine within, we are called by the higher self, the Divine Presence, the Buddha Nature. We experience it in ourselves as our purpose at this point in life. We experience it as our heart's desire.

Look at your heart's desire. Take a hold of what you want to put your energy into. As it unfolds it empowers you. Meet the needs in life without struggle. When you touch your heart's desire you touch Oneness. One mind, one heart – which beats in all of us! When you're at a point of choice and you find it's time to take a step, touch your heart's desire. At this point, maybe it's just to heal. Whatever it is, every experience of your heart's desire calls you into something greater. Thank goodness we don't know the full extent of our choices. Say yes. It will show you oneness. It will remove the illusion of separation.

Take the time and go to your heart. “What has meaning to me?” “What has value?” “What is important to me? What do I really want to say “yes” to?” Ask your heart. It will take you far beyond your mind. When you say “yes”, you don't know where it will eventually lead. Say “yes” anyway! This is a beautiful new year when our “yes” is part of many yesses. That is what we all will step into this year.
The love and care of Jesus’ birth inspires a rebirth of our own spiritual connection.

As we express our love for family and friends, as we select gifts for loved ones, we are each affirming the value of love in our lives. God is love. The more we allow ourselves to feel and express our love, the deeper our spiritual rebirth becomes.

The Christmas carols, the manger scene and our beautiful Christmas services each call us to remember what is really important. They call us to recommit to living the love we really are. Let your heart enjoy the birth of your love into a whole new level of living this Christmas.
Thank goodness Spirit doesn't confine itself to just the religious community. Perhaps you do not like God at all. Yet, Santa gets to you.

Metaphysically, Santa shows up Christmas Eve when we celebrate the birth of a new baby, which represents the birth of a new consciousness. Santa comes from the sky-- from that greater consciousness. And it doesn't seem possible that Santa can come to every house in just one night, but, metaphysically, the higher consciousness is omnipresent, and Santa (the God figure) responds to every one of us. Within the house (your state of consciousness) Santa enters through the place of light and warmth. That is the greater consciousness coming through the heart-- that child place of fulfilling dreams and desires. And you don't get to see Santa, you just get to see the gifts he leaves.

How God – Santa – shows up in an even greater way is the experience of the amazing consciousness of Christmas. It is one of the deepest and most important parts of Christmas. It happens through us. We are the love that happens, that touches, uplifts, and blesses. We are Santa. We understand that Jesus came to give us the awareness of the love that flows through us. Now we get an opportunity to bless. You can be Santa.

You are invited to give to a Santa fund in the sanctuary or in the book center. The second way you can experience the amazing consciousness of Christmas is to open and accept that which blesses you. Express your need or the need of someone you know. Make out your Christmas list. Email Unity Walnut Creek or call the office with you request.

Who has the greater joy-- the giver or the receiver? Give and receive. Allow the flow. Budgets are not as important. Let the love be your only guide. Because of you, “Santa Claus is coming to town!”
As taught by Edwene Gaines, the second principle of prosperity is Forgiveness.

The hardest part of forgiveness is self forgiveness. The vision we have goes beyond the consciousness we have—we can see beyond where we are-- and that vision will carry us forward. However, without self forgiveness, we experience guilt and get down on ourselves. Since the world we experience is a creation of our thoughts, feelings, and attitudes, when we think things like “I am not that good” or “Life's not that good. I can't really trust God.” we choke down our spiritual pipeline. We are no longer open. We get defensive and strive to protect ourselves.

In Eat, Pray, Love, Elizabeth Gilbert writes of how we are disappointed in ourselves for lacking the discipline to accomplish our dreams. However, after such disappointment, we can open to our greater wholeness if we forgive ourselves. She likens self forgiveness to kindly and encouraging motherly love. Like a mother holding you saying,”That's ok. I love you just the way you are.” Such self forgiveness frees us from the judgment of how we view ourselves.

There are times in our lives when we have caused pain to others. What we manifested then was very limiting. We can move beyond the guilt and its limitations with self forgiveness, self compassion. Say “I am willing to forgive myself and stop beating myself up for it.” It's the self compassion that heals. This is a most important step and it will free your heart. It will free you for facing you tasks at hand.

So open up and let the love of God in. Begin to deliberately give yourself forgiveness and compassion, and that spirit of divine creativity can begin to flow. Affirm “I am loved, special, and important. God loves me and so do I.”
Within each person there is a perfect pattern, a pure thought of him in Divine Mind within himself. It is within the very energy, the DNA, of every molecule of that person's being. It is in that person's mind, and that person has full access to it. That person is One with the Presence and All Power. There is nothing or no-one in the world that has more power. That is the truth.

Who do you know who is in need? Physical, emotional, financial, etc.? Look through their “bandages” with so much love that the truth that you know is shared with that other person. You have the spiritual capacity to know the truth. The illumination flows from the truth within, and it is when you love.

We can only have that which we can give away. It is our job to share enlightenment rather than to seek it. Call them into their power-- to know the truth when they begin to forget. Don't settle for less than the truth of who they are. You are unable to settle for something less for that person-- or even for yourself. Hold to the total truth of your own being-- a radiant, powerful child of God--powerful, intelligent-- who can call into manifestation the truth of their being. It is our job to know that. It is our job to be very much in touch with the truth of everyone's being. For each there is hope. The total truth of their being is fully there within them. Carry that awareness for everyone.
My burden is light.” When we are connected with the Christ consciousness, there is a feeling of ease in the heart where struggle doesn't happen. There is an intuitive response, without the need of control, in which things flow.

We are so ready to ease others through any difficulty. Imagine what Divine Love will do for us, Its spiritual children! Life is the experience of Divine Love guiding and unfolding who we are with such grace and care and compassion that every moment It is there for you. Every moment It is in you. Every moment It would enfold and lift you in those things that are difficulties and obstacles. It is infinite intelligence and it knows how to move you through them successfully. That's what life really is. That's the truth. When we choose to see obstacles and complain, when we choose control, we are out of the heart, and it is uncomfortable. Ease is touching the feeling of that care flowing through you. There is a flow of such goodness and kindness, of such compassion and love here guiding you, responding to you, One with you.

When you are open to the Tao, open to that ease and amazing presence of life and energy and intelligence and power that we call Spirit that we are one with and that is moving in and through our lives, you are open to insight. You can use it. It is “hidden in the heart”, everywhere and in everything. You no longer feel separation and the need to control. You are guided. So flow. You are one with It, and everything will fall into place.

Breath ease and enjoy the flow!
When our awareness (the light) changes, the manifestation changes. When we think God hasn't gotten things right, our problem isn't with God. Our problem is with our connection to God. Going outside ourselves to find someone as the source of our prosperity is not the answer.

Separation is an illusion. There's this goodness of God that flows in us and through us and we get to be a part of that consciousness; we aren't separate. Connect with that deep state of consciousness, with that flow of Love in the 4th dimension, with the Source-- God. God is wholeness. When we connect with That we change in our consciousness and go into the experience of wholeness. When we connect with Source, we are connected with the whole of the situation, not just the part we see as the answer. In that moment of connection, there is really nothing else. It's whole, it's complete, and it's beautiful. Feel the deep, deep peace. Feel it fill every level of your being. When you're that loved, you know things are taken care of. Consciousness has changed.

When our consciousness changes, our world changes. Although it's necessary, tending to detail after detail in our three dimensional world doesn't bring the change. Change comes when we choose to connect with that which takes us from an incomplete manifestation into a whole manifestation, because wholeness is the nature of God. It's all one; it's all God's anyhow. We know it's taken care of. There is only one power. You are not separate from that Source, you are one with It, and It's very nature is wholeness. Ground it into the 3rd dimension and do something. It's not just a wonderful feeling. Move forward, because “It's taken care of.”

Whatever the need, there is an answer. What do you do to take care of healing? The answer is God-- connect there. What do you do when you need finances? --harmony in your relationships? The answer is God. Affirm, “God is the Source. God is the answer.”
The mind sees us as separate from everything out there and it defends us. We each have known pain. At such times we see a limit to or a loss of the goodness of God. Anger and hatred naturally protect us when the mind sees us as victims. This is not wrong or bad, but it is not the only perspective.

Our higher consciousness is a higher perspective from which we see things differently. We cannot love when we are in anger and hatred. That is a state which diminishes love and our loving. As spiritual beings, we respond from our truth that is always within us, that we are one with the beautiful Divine Presence. We pray,

“Beloved Presence, reveal that which needs to be revealed. Heal that which needs to be healed.”
And it is revealed that we have a choice. Just wanting to make a choice brings healing. Healing takes away the need for anger and hate. At this point of choosing we are free-- deeply, powerfully free.

There is so much love surrounding, enfolding and supporting us! When we ask it and allow it to take us, it lifts us. We see freedom, forgiveness, and wholeness. It has no other purpose. It is time to look at what you have not yet allowed to heal, what has not yet been transformed. You're not lost. It's not over. It's not the way it looks. The world has simply brought you to the question, “What is now, in this moment, the choice to make?” And it is that choice that transforms what you have journeyed into. This love flows through you, and in your choosing it over and over, it is blessing and lifting us all. We are in this together.
