People who suffer from skin problems or are facing the threat of growing old and getting wrinkles should know that there are actually products that can help solve these problems. Many skin care products are now available in the market to help people with acne problems and bothersome creases on the side of their eyes or mouth. These products are designed to treat skin problems, wrinkles and acne, and some of them are being advertised as multipurpose skin care products.

If you are looking for an anti acne anti aging skin care treatment or an anti acne anti aging skin care program that can help with your skin problems, you may have to consult a doctor. Since aging skin and acne are considered different kinds of skin problems, you may need to check with an expert to help you determine whether or not the anti acne anti aging skin care product or program you are considering to use is indeed worth a try.

Multi purpose products are widely available all over the internet and in local drug stores. Because there are so many advertisements that are being made to promote them, you may be easily swayed by the claims that are made about these products. Whatever these products claim to be able to do, you should learn to read between the lines and see the word “may”, which is a common occurrence in most statements made about such products. This means that they may or they may not have that effect you expect them to give you. And if you are paying more for such products because of the multi purpose claim, then you may need to be more careful about choosing your treatments.

One sure way to get the right kind of treatment you need for your skin, whether it is for anti aging or for acne, is to consult a doctor who specializes in skin treatments. While there may be one or a few products that are effective for both skin problems, nothing can be compared to the professional care of a licensed skin doctor who knows the exact reasons for your acne breakouts or the degree of skin problems you are experiencing. A skin doctor can also give you the right kind of medication for any of these skin problems or he can recommend you a multi purpose treatment that will solve both problems simultaneously

For the past few years, I have dealt with a condition known as breast acne. I have spent the past few years researching treatments for this condition and have also researched different ways to prevent breast acne. I finally got tired of dealing with this condition and consulted my doctor during a routine checkup. She informed me that breast acne is quite common for women who have larger breasts. She also gave me some advice on how to prevent and treat breast acne.

How to Prevent and Treat Breast Acne #1: Avoid Sports Bras

I had small breasts for most of my life when all at once my breasts decided to have a growth spurt. I was left with extremely deep stretch marks. The stretch marks were so deep that it was painful to wear an underwire bra. The only problem was other bras didn’t offer enough support, so I turned to sports bras. But, sports bras don’t breathe enough and can cause breast acne. Also sports bras flatten the breasts so much that it’s impossible for moisture to evaporate. If you want to prevent breast acne, you need to wear a bra that breathes and lifts your breasts.

How to Prevent and Treat Breast Acne #2: Once You Get Sweaty, Shower ASAP

Another great way to prevent breast acne is to jump in the shower as soon as you can after getting sweaty. Now, I know this isn’t always feasible, especially in the summer. You may have to get groceries, then get home and put them away, but as soon as you can you must wash off the sweat.

How to Prevent and Treat Breast Acne #3: Use Antibacterial Soap

When you do shower, use antibacterial soap. My doctor told me that antibacterial soap would help prevent breast acne. She said it was actually best to keep a bar of antibacterial soap and use it only under your breasts.

How to Prevent and Treat Breast Acne #3: Dry Yourself Thoroughly

When you get out of the shower, dry yourself thoroughly. Firmly hold the towel against your skin to remove as much excess moisture as possible. If the moisture is not removed, this can also cause breast acne to form.

How to Prevent and Treat Breast Acne #4: Use a Hairdryer

My doctor said that it was pretty much impossible to remove all the moisture from your skin, using just a towel. She said to help prevent breast acne, I should dry my skin with a hairdryer. Of course you will want to use a low setting and hold is far enough away so that you don’t burn your skin.

How to Prevent and Treat Breast Acne #6: Use Acne Pads

Once breast acne has set in, you will need to treat it ASAP. One of the best ways to treat it is to use acne pads. I use Clearasil and Stridex pads. I highly recommend that you use a pad that is made for sensitive skin to treat your breast acne. This will help prevent the skin from drying out too much. After you get out of the shower and have dried off, rub a pad under each breast. It will take a few days, but this really is a wonderful and affordable way to treat breast acne.

How to Prevent and Treat Breast Acne #7: Visit Your Doctor

If you still arent having any luck, you may want to visit your doctor. Your doctor will be able to look at the acne and give you even more tips on how to treat and prevent the condition. Ask your doctor about natural methods first or at least methods that are an affordable way to treat and prevent breast acne.

How to Prevent and Treat Breast Acne #8: Request a Prescription

If you have tried everything your doctor has suggested and still have acne, you can request a prescription. Your doctor will be able to prescribe medicine that is stronger than what you’ll find over the counter. This medicine will help to treat the acne by drying it out. You do need to be careful because this medicine can also dry out your skin as well.

Acne is a chronic skin disorder that does not just occur among teenagers, but also among adults. A number of women are particularly upset and embarrassed when they first get acne pimples at the age of 30 to 40. And, most of the adults who develop acne at an older age have experienced a type of acne known as acne rosacea.

Acne rosacea is actually chronic and long term adult acne that affects not just the skin but sometimes the eyes. This disease is recognized by redness, pimples, and thickened skin in advanced stages. As commonly observed, acne rosacea typically affects the face, and the other parts of the upper body are just infrequently involved.

Acne rosacea affects approximately 14 million of people in the United States alone. Certain reports have shown that acne rosacea oftentimes affects adults between the ages of 30 to 60. It was also found out that acne rosacea is more observed in women than men, particularly during the menopausal stage. And, despite the fact that acne rosacea can build up in people of any skin type and color, numerous findings have maintained that this skin disease tends to appear most frequently and is most obvious in people with fair complexion.

A number of conditions and symptoms are generally associated with acne rosacea. Some of the patients afflicted by this disease are noted to have frequent flushing, inflammatory rosacea, vascular rosacea, and other conditions that involve the skin, eyes, and nose. The frequent flushing condition basically occurs in the earliest stage of acne rosacea. This is always coupled with a burning sensation, especially when a certain cream or cosmetic is applied of the face.

The condition known as vascular rosacea causes the persistent flushing and redness. It is noted that in this condition, the blood vessels under the skin of the face may enlarge; therefore showing through the skin as small red lines. And, the acne rosacea condition known as inflammatory rosacea particularly causes persistent redness and papules (pink bumps) and pustules (bumps containing pus) on the skin. There are also some instances with this acne rosacea condition that eye inflammation and sensitivity occur, which is sometimes accompanied by telangiectasia.

Up to this moment, there is still no certain evidence that can explain the real cause of acne rosacea. Nevertheless, many doctors believed that some people may inherit a tendency to develop this certain skin disorder. There is also a great possibility that those who blush frequently may be more likely to develop acne rosacea.

Every individual needs a good daily use of acne fighting cream. This does not only help to fight the existing blotches on your face and other affected areas, but an acne cream may help minimize the frequency of future breakouts. It is just important to use it in a proper way as an acne cream can make a difference to the overall appearance of your skin. Where to find it? Well, acne creams are there for you, whether you prefer a medicated product or an all natural one. Consider the following acne creams noted as effective for treating blemishes on the skin.

Oxy10 Balance Emergency Spot Treatment

Oxy10 Balance Emergency Spot Treatment is actually a prescriptions strength acne cream that is available overthecounter. This is deemed one of the best acne creams ever formulated that it greatly helps to eliminate the stubborn and bothering acne.

One of the greatest breakthroughs in the medical field today is Zeno acne treatment. The Zeno acne treatment is actually a clinically proven hand held medical device, but not medication or a laser. It is deemed as one of the great solutions for treating acne as it largely employs a medical heat dose treatment of individual acne pimples in patients with mild to moderate acne.

The Zeno acne treatment basically works by means of destroying the acnecausing bacteria found on the skin as well as to shorten the life cycle of pimples significantly. It is interesting to know that Zeno acne treatment does not actually replace daily skin care, but it takes over especially in cases that pimples devastate the skins natural balance. Certain reports have noted that Zeno acne treatment generally functions in two to three treatment cycles of 2 minutes and spread over 12 to 14 hours.

Zeno acne treatment is deemed as a great solution for reducing and eliminating the acne lesions. In fact, 90 percent of the acne patients involved in an FDA reviewed clinical trials had found out that acnes detected early and treated with the Zeno acne treatment greatly faded and disappeared in the end within just a matter of hours. With this result, many medical professionals, doctors, and scientists who designed and tested the Zeno acne treatment believed that this method is more effective for the treatment of acne pimples than any other device available with the absence of any prescription. It is even much interesting to know that unlike the strong and potent drugs out there on the health stores, the Zeno acne treatment has demonstrated in tests to have no significant adverse side effects. The common side effects of this treatment just involve a slight temporary discomfort because of heat, local temporary skin redness, and posttreatment dryness or peeling of skin. There are also some other potential side effects that may occur, but these do not necessarily require medical attention.

Today, Zeno acne treatment is known as a rechargeable tool that integrates a memory chip for ensuring an accurate and exact energy calibration. This chip is also incorporated in this device in order to regulate the number of treatments delivered by the tip, as well as to give safety redundancy. The Zeno acne treatment has a Treatment Tip Cartridge that contains a particular number of treatment cycles, and this can easily be replaced with a new cartridge.

Acne is a common skin disorder that usually appears on the face, neck, chest, shoulders, back, and even buttocks of many people. But outside from this fact, acne may also appear on the butt, leading to the concept of butt acne or buttne.

Butt acne, just like the facial acne, affects almost every individual. Of its total victims, many have found it depressing and embarrassing. It can be a sign of more severe acne especially when the lesions are large and painful. However, butt acne doesn’t have to control your life. Besides, some treatments for this problem are out there on the market. All you need to do now is to know your butt acne condition and understand what the treatments are for.

Butt acne is basically caused by the same factors as acne found on the face, neck, back and chest. It may be a result of an excessive production of oils in the sebaceous glands, which are then attached to the hair follicle and produce sebum, which is actually an oily substance that will form a blemish if blocked on the follicle. According to certain studies, butt acne may also occur if the naturally occurring bacteria found on the skin multiply at an abnormal rate and clog the follicle. Butt acne may also be the result of severe irritation caused by the dead skin cells that are shedding to fast.

Knowing that butt is caused by the same factors as to that of acne found on the face, neck, chest and back, the methods for treating butt acne is therefore similar to that of the others. One of the best steps to take first before opting for a certain butt acne treatment is to look closely at any form of irritant which may be causing the butt acne to appear. The clothing you are using may be an aggravator of butt acne. So, you better change laundry detergents or some other cleansing products for it may help to reduce and eliminate the condition.

If you have tried some of the typical treatments but none of them work, it is then very necessary that you consult with your doctor so to identify the possible causes of the butt acne you have. Note that if the lesions are really too big and painful, an accurate and proper diagnosis must then be taken to eliminate it. It is also worth noting that butt acne can be reduced or removed with an amount of cleaning. Most of the acne patients today usually practice certain daily cleaning regimen knowing that it may aid to remove the dead skin cells and dirt particles that may trigger the formation and development of butt acne. Finally, avoid picking or squeezing the lesions since it may only cause infection and scarring, worsening the condition.

It has been estimated that almost 50% of adult women experience acne flare ups during premenstrual period and pregnancy and there is nothing abnormal about it. During pregnancy the serum level of male hormones, androgens, goes on top giving rise to a sudden hormonal imbalance in female body. This erratic upsurge of male hormones influences the oil glands underneath epidermal skin layer to secrete huge amount of body oil or sebum. Surplus sebum, instead of reaching the skin surface, clogs up the hair follicles intermingling with follicular lining dead cells and acne causing Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. This eventually leads to several types of acne lesions and inflammation not only on your face but also on several parts of your body.

Some lucky women do not face this situation during their pregnancy. But, those who deal with such traumatic situation of acne in pregnancy often face the worst period during their first trimester. Nevertheless, over a few months of your conception your female hormonal level gradually increases easing up the whole acne condition and even disappearing completely. Although some people might find it trivial to be worried about; but one should not forget that she is pregnant now and as this bothersome skin disorder could devastate her self esteem turning her into a patient of depression, it might directly affect the unborn baby in several ways. And it is for sure that one expected mother wont welcome any such situation which might harm her baby.

Just by maintaining a few simple rules in your everyday life and following some treatment procedures as per the direction of your doctor you could get rid of this skin disease completely. Do not over cleanse your skin or rub with a harsh scrubber in an attempt to wipe off your acne pimples as early as possible, which otherwise could backfire your overall endeavor, adding more acne lesions to your face. Over cleansing would strip away the surplus oil from your skin which would lead to more irritation and breakouts. A few medicines which you might be able to use for acne in pregnancy without putting your fetus in risk for major malformations are benzoyl peroxide, azelaic acid, and erythromycin. However, a professional medical practitioner should be able to guide you in every respect of your effort to fight back acne and make it a successful endeavor.

All the romance novels and television movies make us think women are supposed to look dewyfaced when they are pregnant. So why do so many look pizzafaced instead? The culprit is the hormone androgen.

The level of androgen in a woman’s body increases while she is pregnant, and this increases the risk of acne during pregnancy. If you experienced breakouts during your menstrual periods, you are especially likely to become the victim of acne during pregnancy.

Unfortunately, the standard treatments, including RetinA, Tetracycline, and Accutane, are not options for pregnant women due to the risk of harming the fetus. Accutane, especially, has been linked to birth defects, and tetracycline may cause problems with the baby’s bones and teeth. RetinA has not been linked specifically to any fetal problems, but doctors do know that around 10% of RetinA crosses the placenta to reach the fetus.

With the most recent treatments considered unsafe for pregnant women, women who suffer acne during pregnancy must consider more oldfashioned methods of treatment.

You might think sweating would be the last thing you want to do, but surprisingly, regular exercise can help reduce acne during pregnancy. Exercise will help decrease your level of stress. Being stressed out can make acne worse. Exercise will also improve the blood flow throughout your body which will make all of your skin healthier.

Another way to decrease breakouts is to watch what you eat. Fried foods and excessive sweets have been linked to blemishes. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables can help improve your acne during pregnancy.

You should wash your face at least twice a day. Use a mild, oilfree soap, and don’t scrub with a washcloth. Using a harsh soap and scrubbing at your skin will strip away the natural oil, sending the message to your glands to produce more. When you wash, use your hands or an oilabsorbing cloth to cleanse your skin. Then pat your skin dry and use an oilfree moisturizer.

If you make sure it is makeup, make sure it is not oil based. Be sure to wash it off before bedtime. Excessive makeup can cause acne during pregnancy.

Finally, don’t squeeze or pop pimples. This will only lead to scarring. Also, try to avoid touching the pimples and then touching other areas of your face, as this could cause acne during pregnancy to spread.

If your skin problems become too uncomfortable, speak with your doctor. You may want to consult with a dermatologist, but you should make sure the dermatologist knows you are pregnant. Just to be safe, consult with your obgyn before taking any medications for acne during pregnancy prescribed by another doctor.

Pimples while you are pregnant can make you feel selfconscious just when you want to open up to the world and enjoy it the most. Luckily, most acne during pregnancy starts to resolve by the end of the first trimester. Skin problems are usually far less of an issue later in pregnancy.

A lot of surprises await parenthood, and among them may be the unpleasant discovery of acne on your baby’s cheeks and nose. Well, there is noting to worry about it since infant acne is just so common and it will generally clear up within a matter of days. But what really is the cause of infant acne?

According to some studies, newborn babies often break out with acnelike bumps on their face as a result by oil trapped in the hair follicle. These bumps, which are the common signs of infant acne, are generally located on the cheeks although they may also cover the chin and the forehead. The infant acne may also be the result of an exposure to the significant changes in hormones that are usually experienced in the womb prior to childbirth. It is commonly noted that without any form of treatment, infant acne may only last for a few weeks, but may recur until the baby is amount six months old.

Many experts have suggested that if the infant acne persists after several weeks, it is then wise to see a doctor to check your babys condition. A number of medical explanations for persistent or severe infant acne are in fact there. It is usual phenomenon that a doctor may ask about the medical history of the babys immediate family in order to identify if the baby has a genetic predisposition to developing acne.

Furthermore, the infant acne may indicate hormone production. It has been maintained that the production of sex hormones early in the childs life actually introduces the great possibility of early sexual development. In this case, a medical attention is highly needed so to prevent whatever moderate disabilities as well as developmental disabilities that are associated with sexual development may occur. Certain studies also note that infant acne could be the cause of an exposure to medication, which in fact can worsen the infant acne. It is with this reason that the elimination of the offending medication is considered for the infant acne to banish in few weeks.

Infant acne usually will not persist after two years of age. This is supported by the findings of the American Academy of Dermatology which show that the stage of life between the ages of two and six are known as the acne free zone. Perhaps a proof for this is the fact that during this stage, the production of sebum is low. So if your child is suffering with infant acne during this period, it is then very necessary to consult with your doctor.
