Through these years of experience we’ve come to understand that due to the nature of the organisation it is difficult for them to cover the cost of developing a website.

Ummah Design would like to to give away a professional website, with a free domain name, free hosting, webstats, emails and so on.

Every website will come with a Content Management System (CMS) which enables the mosque administrators to manage the content of their websites with little or even no IT skills whatsoever.

Prayer Timetable
This feature will show daily prayer times on your website. The timetable also offers the option of viewing and downloading the full current month’s prayer times in PDF format.

Events Calendar
Here your local mosque will be able to keep everyone up to date with the latest events scheduled throughout the year at a glance. This feature is a great way of making sure no one misses out on those all important gatherings.

Latest News
This really useful feature will update everyone with the Mosque’s latest news and events in a more detailed format. Both Events and News comes with RSS feed so that your users can subscribe to them inshallah.

Ask Imaam
This amazing facility enables Muslims & non-Muslims who are in need of advice, fatwa’s or maybe just confused about something related to religion, to put their questions across to their local Imaam from the comforts of their own home.

Donation Facility
Here your local Masjid will be able to collect donations on-line easily and efficiently using a secure online payment system (PayPal), allowing the community and other visitor’s of your site to make a donation using their credit or debit card or even PayPal. You will also have an option adding your Bank details and Standing order details too.

Education (Madrasah)
Does your mosque run a madrasah school or courses for Adults? Then this feature will be extremely handy inshallah. You can create your classes and provide detailed information for each class.

Media Gallery
A popular feature with all Masjids, everyone wants to know how the Mosque looks like, how many people it can accommodate, good pictures and videos of past social and religious events. You can also upload Friday khutbahs or other lectures in MP3 format.

Articles
This will facilitate the Masjid to share relevant Islamic articles with their visitors. It may serve as a blog if you like. This feature can be updated as often as it is convenient to you. The articles will be printable and can be easily emailed, allowing your readers to comfortably share any articles of interest with family and friends.

Useful Links & Resources
This feature is always very handy to have. Mosques will be able to provide their visitors with a variety of useful links that may vary from the Muslim Directory to a recommended Muslim funeral service. A great help and time saver for any Muslim confused on how to find something.

Social Media
Almost all of the pages have a social media share feature where users can share the content on your website in their Facebook, Twitter or any other social networking accounts. In addition, you can also manage your own social media links on the website, inshallah.

And many more features.

In order to apply for a Free Masjid website please email us (to sales{at}ummah-design.com) the following:

1. Masjid’s details (masjid name, Masjid’s telefon number, about masjid, location, contact details  etc.)
2. Masjid’s admin’s details (whoever will be managing the website) .
3. Preferred domain name, if you don’t have one.

That’s all.  We will then review your application and send you all the details by email inshallah.

The deadline is 1^st of July, 2012.

Applications after this date will not be accepted.  So please do not delay to avoid disappointments. Alternatively, please print out this page and give it to your local masjid so that they can contact us and benefit from this fantastic offer, inshallah.

One of our team members has come up with this fantastic timetable that we thought we should share with our wonderful readers.  It is a wonderful timetable that helps you to stay on track of what you would need to be doing daily as a Muslim, inshallah.

We ask everybody to share it with your families and friends by any possible means (email, printed version, share on your facebook, share it with your twitter followers, share it on your blog and so on).

As Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says in the Quran:

“And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful.” [3:104]

We understand this is not a perfect timetable and also depends on individual’s gender, circumstances and so on. So please feel free to amend it to whatever you like and share it back with us, if you can, so many other people can also benefit from it.

Mashallah here we have a brilliant example of another Islamic Foundation striving to establish a good online presence in the hope to reach out to their community and beyond, coming together to reunite the oneness of the ummah & build a bigger & better premises to accommodate the growing number of attendees benefiting from their services.

SIFUK actually stands for Shropshire Islamic Foundation UK and is a registered Charity incorporating Telford Central Mosque and Telford Islamic Academy based in the scenic county of Shropshire.

We were more than happy to assist them with their request for a revamp of their website, providing them with our latest Mosque & Islamic CMS & we also customised their Facebook & Twitter pages to coincide with their new look & theme.  And what better way is there to raise awareness to their latest appeal in raising money & volunteers to help build their new Mosque & Islamic Center!

As we all know everyone loves FREE icon sets and alhamdulillah there are many good quality icon sets out there especially social media ones in which are  the most frequently used & more so in blogs.

Alhamdulillah being designers ourselves we realise that a good icon set can be the finishing touch to completing  a good site design and also help with its usability, but what we lack is Islamic social icons. Mashallah now the number of Muslim websites & blogs are growing, it would be nice to have a wider choice that would go with an Islamically themed design or just to represent our individuality.

We would love to take this opportunity to say how really pleasing it is to our hearts and minds when we come across and are blessed to help such organizations like these, I can confidently say reading this sites upcoming news & events really makes me want to be part of it, and makes me admire the community it is catered for or even jealous of those who it is close to and are able to attend regularly with no transport!

Here Masjid Al-Ikhlas are one of many masjids/Islamic Centers that are doing their very best to be active, attract & bring together the community Muslim & non-Muslim alike which is a great thing much needed especially in the world we live in today. But sadly they are one of the few out there that realise just how important it is for the community as well as themselves to have an online presence.

Anyone who has run an organization such as this or had any sort of experience in doing so will know just how much effort and time consuming it is, which is why we at Ummah Design Team have tried to make this easier, and as less time consuming as possible by building a unique & very easily managed CMS specifically with these Islamic Masjids and organizations in mind. Alhamdulillah our UAE branch recently finished another project by the Will and Grace of our Lord Most Beneficent.

The new website was for a project called “Life Water”, an organisation based in Saudi Arabia that hopes to set up & raise awareness among people about water related issues. They wanted a website that would serve as a platform for people to communicate with each other, exchange knowledge and expertise and disseminate any available and relevant information to all users.

We pray that our efforts & expertise applied towards this project and the building of this unique CMS website will help provide just that Inshallah and we wish them all the best in their success.
