Responsive Design is the Internet’s way of adapting itself to the technical devices that people are now using to view the web with. The statistics for devices used to view web content are changing very quickly, the number of people that are using the internet from their iPhones, iPads & other handheld  devices is growing more and more by the second each day.

So what does this mean & how is this effecting businesses & website development?

Well, in the field of Web design and development, we’re swiftly reaching the point of almost being unable to keep up with the endless new technologies, inventions & new devices. For many businesses, creating a website version for each resolution and new device would be expensive, impractical & very time consuming. But if you didn’t it would most definitely restrict your website from being viewed from other potential clients using other devices, unless you developed one separately for each. Wouldn’t it?

Alhamdulillah, now that isn’t the case, because that is where responsive design comes in and saves the day. With Responsive design, the design and development is responding to the user’s behavior and environment based on the platform, orientation and screen size of the device it is being used in.

This performance consists of some flexible grids, images, layouts and some smart CSS media queries. Media queries? What are they I hear you say? Well I don’t know if that’s really what you’re saying but I know that’s what I said.

Media queries are the foundation to the presentation layer on how to make your website display correctly on the device you’re using. They structure readable text according to screen availability, presenting & hiding content as appropriate, relieving one from needing to pinch and zoom as we do on iPhones.

They have been around for quite some time now and web developers have been using them for the website screen & projectors. Lately though they have had a bit of a power boost because now developers can state the width or even height of a screen and the actual web browsers dimensions of a device and even set boundaries. Meaning that we can now start to deliver a user experience based on the device being used, this allows us to restructure our content for the best experience, provide usable navigating systems and images and actually deliver responsive sites that organically adjust, scale and present themselves at their best! Definitely a wow factor don’t you think?

So in conclusion, responsive design allows the website to automatically respond to the user as they switch over from their laptop to any other handheld device, as the website should automatically switch as well in order to accommodate the resolution, image size and scripting abilities. This now eliminates the need for a different design and development phase for each new gadget on the market.

We are delighted to confirm the completion of the website redesign for Mariam Learns & Grows, based in America.

I must say there are many advantages & disadvantages to every job alhamdulillah. One of many advantages of working in this one is that you come to meet and acknowledge many very inspirational, productive & beneficial people, businesses & organisations every day. Some of which sometimes, especially if they are a foreign client from a different country like this one. we may have never heard of before until their approach.

There are 3 main pleasures that our team experiences in almost every project:

1) The pleasure of  first meeting a client & acknowledgement of their business, service or organisation.

2) The pleasure of playing a part of building or improving their websites aims & objectives.

3) And then the pleasure of seeing the completion of the project & them being happy with it.

May Allah SWT keep our intentions pure Insha Allah amin.

Being a mother myself it was such a bliss to have come across such a site as this. A child is born into the world innocent and without experience. Yet, within this small person Allah SWT has placed a powerful desire to gain knowledge and understanding of everything, and it is the Haq of the child that we as their parents help provide them with it.

‘Maryam Learns and Grows’ is a resource for parents who recognize the importance of having a meaningful relationship with their child & Creator.  They are a source for Islamic books, games and other media that will help you teach, inspire and encourage your child InshaAllah.

What really impressed me the most about ‘Maryam Learns and Grows’ as mentioned on their website, the media they retail is designed to appeal to children, at their level, using age appropriate imagery and language. I’m sure I’m speaking for most Muslim parents when I share the experience of picking out a suitable Islamic children’s book for my child, that looks very attractive to the eye of a child, & carries a simple interesting title, but when we take it home to read we are disappointed to find that there are so many words not even we understand let alone our children!

We congratulate Maryam Learns and Grows on the recent launch of their newly designed website & thank them dearly for their help in making our commitment to our children’s education easier & less time consuming. We as parents should realise that teaching our children about our Faith is a means to Jennah, a means to bring us closer to each other – and to Allah SWT!

Today we celebrate the recent launch of Ansar-trust.org, THE ANSAR TRUST is a Humanitarian & Dawah focused Registered Charity set up by a group of medical professionals that aims to support the message of the Final Messenger, The Prophet Muhammed (peace be be upon Him) by helping the oppressed and needy and implementing the message of The Qur’an.

The team have recently launched the newly revamped site for this really inspirational site called My IQA, IQA standing for IANT Quranic Academy, a unique private Islamic school serving North Texas USA. IQA’s mission is to develop the next generation of American Muslim Scholars who pose an upright and noble character through integrated training in the religious and contemporary sciences, and who are capable of meeting the modern challenges of our diverse society through guidance, service, and leadership.

It was a lovely experience working with their team and we truly wish them every success in dunya & akhira. We erg all to make dua for them and for us too to have some similar schools available to us here in the UK insha Allah.

Although they kept the original colours of the site to coordinate with their bottle green logo we were able to add a sense of fun and enlightment to the page together with a more user friendly and organised layout.
