Submission Deadline:
Completed applications (including the signed authorisation page) must be submitted to Presbytery by 1 June.

This allows time for Presbytery review teams to assess, refine (if necessary), and rank applications. Early submission prior to the deadline is strongly encouraged.

Please ensure that all required supporting documentation, including relevant quotations, is included with your application.

Important Guidance:

• Applicants for Capital Works Grants are encouraged to contact the Presbytery Property Committee for advice on their application. This will help ensure completeness and compliance.

Rev Dr Denham Grierson, retired minister and long-time poet, continues this tradition through his latest anthology HONEY FROM THE ROCK. Drawn from decades of writing, the collection brings together poems that explore faith, suffering, hope, and the search for meaning in a changing world.

In the video above, Denham reads two of his poems, offering a glimpse into the reflective and imaginative language that shapes his work.

These poems are part of a wider anthology that Denham describes as a resource for personal reflection, group discussion, worship, and theological exploration.

For the next forty days, we have the opportunity to be intentional, to consider what might draw us closer to God. Maybe it’s giving up something, like sugar or scrolling. Maybe it’s letting go of something bigger, like judgement, impatience, or distraction.

Or perhaps this is the season to take something up: a daily Bible reading, a few quiet moments of prayer, or choosing kindness a little more deliberately.

However you step into Lent, may it be a time of renewal, shaping our hearts and preparing us for the hope that awaits at Easter.

While the course materials are still being prepared and registration links are not yet open, we encourage you to pencil these dates into your diary to plan ahead.

• Commissioning of Presbytery Standing Committee members

• An opportunity to meet our Moderator, Rev Salesi Faupula

• An eLM presentation focused on training and education for lay people

• A report on homelessness and rough sleeping

• Worship and shared reflection in beautiful surroundings

The service will offer an opportunity to give thanks for:

• Answered prayers and blessings throughout the restoration journey
• The hard work and dedication of everyone involved in the restoration
• The grace and guidance that has brought our congregation to this meaningful milestone

Following the service, there will be light refreshments and an opportunity for fellowship, allowing attendees to celebrate this joyous occasion together.

After a long and thoughtful journey with the six congregations of the Casey Cardinia Region, Endeavour Hills, St Andrew’s Berwick, Pakenham, Cranbourne, Narre Warren North and Hampton Park, we give thanks for God’s leading and look forward to a new chapter of ministry together. Rev. Chang-bae brings rich experience and a deeply grounded pastoral heart, and we rejoice in welcoming him and his wife into our community of faith.
