2. Use a Different Background Setting for Every Video.

Location is not the only thing that can be used to highlight your video’s point; background can as well. Video is so powerful because it speaks to your audience’s visual senses as well as their audible senses; this can make a powerful non-verbal statement if you select your background well.

A busy mall will have a different background impact than a back alley or a library setting. Your neighborhood will have all different kinds of background options right nearby, so keep your eyes open for possible settings you can use .

3. Arrange Your Background.

The visual arrangement of your video is important, so make sure you arrange the background in such a way that it is visually appealing to your viewers.

For example, if your background is very large, the best place for you to stand would be halfway between the camera and the background setting. If you are too close, no one will be able to see the background. If you are too far, the audience won’t see you closely enough to make a connection. You will want to stand back further than you think you should. Most video recorders are set to default to the wide screen setting, so you need to shoot from at least ten feet to include everything.

Do you struggle with keyword research? I know I do. I can find keywords all day long. I have a problem finding good ones.

I always believed that Google’s keyword tool gave highly accurate results. After all, they should be giving out accurate info. Turns out they do and they don’t.

Any data you get isn’t accurate. But it will have been spot on at some time. I stumbled across the solution to this particular conundrum.

I targeted a keyword that ’said’ it had about 5000 competing web pages. I was pretty confident I could get a result from that. I started churning out articles by the bucket load.

Soon after I noticed Google telling me there was about 9000 competing pages now. I could hardly believe that. Had there been some mistake? A bit more investigating turned up my own articles on loads of these new competing sites.

My point being is that I’d have swerved this keyword if I had seen nine thousand competitors. An awful lot of these new sites were showing my article, thus I was my own competitor. A win win situation if you ask me.

Not wanting to rely on luck every time I thought I’d try a keyword research service. Getting a daily list of quality keywords sent is something that appeals to me. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.
