<p>In an investigation led by the top laboratory Alkemist pharmaceuticals, was pointed out that only 20% of the weight loss supplements being willingly sent to them are pure Hoodia Gordonii.</p>
<p>That means that 80% of the Hoodia supplements found on the internet are fake.</p>
<p>But don&#8217;t get your head worried to much. Here&#8217;s how you can find out if you are being offered a genuine product.</p>
<p><strong>Just ask yourself the following questions:</strong></p>

<li>The ingredients - what type of Hoodia plant is being used?There are a lot of companies out there that will try to trick you by being vague about the type of Hoodia they use.Check the ingredients list - if the main component is just &#8216;hoodia&#8217; then leave it.There is a high probability that have used one of the thirteen other Hoodia plants that exist. <strong>They don&#8217;t contain the active ingredient P57.</strong>Only the Hoodia Gordonii plant contains the P57 substance that has been proven to suppress your appetite.</li>
<li>What part of Hoodia Gordonii has been used?<strong>Only the core</strong> of the Hoodia Gordonii plant contains the P57.Its roots, leaves and flowers are redundant and have nothing to do with weight loss.No matter that the leaves and flowers of the Hoodia Gordonii plant offer no contribution to weight loss, many companies choose to include them in the production process.<strong>And that is where the &#8216;rip off&#8217; comes from.</strong> Because by doing so they can still claim their food supplements to be 100% pure Hoodia Gordonii.

<p>They contain gelatin. If you see this you are still getting a pure supplement. However, if you spot anything else included, you are not getting pure Hoodia Gordnii capsules.</li>
<li>Is it an extract?Hoodia Gordonii doesn&#8217;t work &#8216;extracted&#8217;. There doesn&#8217;t exist a supplement with Hoodia Gordonii extract.Anyone claiming to be selling such thing is lying to you. And in the end you only get 60% of the plant.</li>

<p>Fact: Milk-based, or also known as diary products, are the point of supply for calcuim which is an essential substance for your bones. It is absolutely necessary that diary products are part of a children&#8217;s menu and must not be overlooked by adults, too.</p>

<p>Of course, thanks to modern medicine, we all know that eating a lot of diary products is a sure way to get high blood pressure and stroke.</p>
<p>However, to each rule there is an exception. A good example are people from France who eat large quantities with their wine and stay in good health for life.</p>
<p>As for the &#8220;fat&#8221; part of the myth - you can always choose low-fat or non-fat brands if you don&#8217;t want to gain weight from diary products.</p>
<p>And if you are lactose-intolerant, move on to soy or rice milk. The taste is not the same, but it is still good and nutritious.</p>
<p>Actually the only milk-based products you should worry about are *butter and margarine*. They containg high levels of fat.</p>
<p>Margarine is a pre-processed fat that isn&#8217;t too good for you.</p>
<p>Butter might be with higher fat levels, but is certainly more healthier than margarine.</p>
<p>So, if you can&#8217;t do without such products, stick with butter.</p>

<p>In fact eating a lot of food that gives you no nutrients and calories, but only fills your stomach, can have negative effects in the future. Because plants have a lower concentration of nutrients than meat, your body will require more food in order to make up for this difference.</p>
<p>And let&#8217;s not mention a strictly vegetarian diet. It will get you an insufficient amount of vitamin D, B12, zinc, calcium and iron.</p>
<p>Such substances come from milk-based products and eggs, but  true vegetarians cannot have such things. As a vegetarian, you have to rely on very few and uncommon vegetables that provide these substances.</p>

It can be made from cooking oil, too. If you are a fan of cheese, you should be able to tell just by looking at it. The cheese made from cooking oil is orange and oily.</p>
<p><strong>Avoid bacon.</strong> Researches point that the bacon in fast food joints is quite.. awful. Bacon is not really cooked, but just put under the lights until it gets hot. Avoid this at all costs. You will save calories and avoid future problems with your stomach, for example.</p>
<p><strong>Deep fried sandwiches</strong> can be very unhealthy, too. You know them – the ones with deep fried fish or chicken in them. Just by frying them in fat like this, makes them worse for your health. <strong>Go with chicken any time you can</strong>. By general, chicken items will be lower in fat.</p>
<p>Just don’t get a chicken sandwich that has been filled with mayo or has been deep fried.</p>

It might be caused by the growing number of vegetarians, or because a big phase with college kids is when they go “animal friendly”. <p>Sometimes they will be less in fat than normal burgers. I cannot say that you should care much about these. Remember that just because they don’t have meat, this doesn’t mean you can add mayo and cheese. Some of these burgers are not that lower in fat.</p>
<p>I would suggest you go with chicken and some turkey, too.</p>
<p>Also, any time you can <strong>fill your sandwich with some tasty vegetables</strong>. Once you do this, you will realize they are much better than fatty mayonnaise.</p>
<p><strong>Another way to keep calories low is to drink water or diet sodas.</strong></p>
<p>In case you drink water, ask if there is any lemon you can squirt in it. That will give it a crisp taste that goes great with food and will keep your mind off the sodas.</p>
<p>If you don’t feel happy with water you can go with diet sodas, but sometimes they are just too sweet.</p>
<p>There you have it. Some easy to do things to consider next time you go out to the fast food.</p>

<p>Fact: For good or bad this is another common weight loss myth. Just like any diet telling you to cut one food type or another from your meals, fad diets are not good for your health.</p>

<p>The main purpose of any good diet is to supply your body with all the minerals, calories and proteins it can need.</p>
<p>Cutting out foods without a regard for the actual needs of your body is something *no* good diet does. This is just not healthy.</p>
<p>Fad diets cannot keep the promise of permanent weight loss because it keeps the body craving for those forbidden foods and will always make you break the rules.</p>
<p>The thing about *permanent weight loss* is some exercising in a combination of avoiding food that makes you fat without giving nutrition to the body.</p>
<h3>Myth #3: Food poor on fat or with no fat is the right choice</h3>
<p>Fact: The only type of food low on fat and low in calories are the fruits. Anything else under the label &#8220;low fat&#8221; is not a safe choice for your diet.</p>
<p><strong>Why is that?</strong></p>
<p>Such products may have added sugar, flour or starch to make them better in taste, so that means extra calories that are not meant in your diet.</p>
<p>That is why you should always check the list of ingredients on packages whenever you decide to buy food low on fat.</p>

<p>When you are young, you can eat fast food three meals a day and not feel it.</p>
<p>When you start to get older, you begin to feel it more.</p>
<p>It is good to think that one&#8217;s progression towards a healthy lifestyle is to make himself more healthy.</p>

<p>Chances are the old lady would like to shed a few pounds and firm up in the way that she had been once.</p>
<p>You will be more successful if both of you do it. We&#8217;re not saying that you should expect perfection in this venture.</p>

<p><strong>Where do you start? </strong></p>
<p>First we would suggest that you go to your doctor for a physical examination. Have some blood work taken and see how you are.</p>
<p>If you haven&#8217;t done anything like this before, it is a good thing to do. He will check your cholesterol and all those things. Also if you have a health condition, you will want to talk about your diet and exercise plans with him before you do anything.</p>
<p>You want to do this so that you don&#8217;t get yourself into bigger trouble.</p>
<p>If you have diabetes and you start a new diet, if not done right, you can cause a lot of problems.</p>
<p>So, after you have things cleared out with the doctor it is important that you figure out what kind of diet you want to go on.</p>
<p>I would suggest that you focus on a diet that is high in veggetables and fruit. Cut back on the meat and the carbs and stick with as many fresh items as you can.</p>
<p>This will help you loose weight.</p>
<p>Also, look into some type of exercise program.</p>
<p>A good start is walking or jogging and work your way from there. You and your old lady can do this together. Get a dog, they love to go on walks.</p>
<p>This will give you motivation when it comes to taking your walks.<br />
