Effective marketing videos aren't as common as most people probably think. How many times have you seen an online video that has motivated you to buy something? Chances are, you can count those experiences with two hands.

What is a Fop? I looked it up.

a man who is concerned with his clothes and appearance in an affected and excessive way. (although lately looking harrassed or not bothering to care either way....they are allowed you know)

This is an important point.Just because you wear tailored clothes doesn't make you important it actually does make you a bit of a Fop.

Some people asked what does fop mean in English. It's a good question. Here in England we always thought it was to do with gay posh people. Generally it was described as eccentric and foppish behaviour.

The world has moved on though. So the behaviour that was accepted and allowed before is now called something else.

Why do I bring this up. I remember a few years back, an older woman telling a certain politician to tuck his shirt in because he looked scruffy.

Said politician ignored her and continued. I may have done a diservice there, he may have given a bumbling anecdote about (whatever) and excused himself because he needed to be over there.

Isn't that the place where the grass grows greener?

We seem to be left with a group of people who believe they are in charge but have no idea how to actually deal with what is going on in the world.

Being a dictaor. Or professing that everything will be ok just isn't enough anymore.

The world is dying behind us whilst we argue amongst ourselves. If you can't see the irony (you are probably American) or understand the consequences then it's nothing more than a dictatorship.

We are allowed to choose how we live. Human rights says we have them

So are our human right being violated because someone wants to be more important? (we constantly see the evidence)

We don't want to fight with everyone but neither do we want to succumb to what we believe is wrong.

Everyone has the right to be heard and listened to.

News just in!!!

The world according to Sir Donny.

I went to see Sir Donny today.

Disclaimer: Sir Donny is a duck, a mallard actually. He lives quite happily on a lake not far from me. While I lie on the bank in a drunken stupor he comes and whispers in my ear.

None of this is true but I somehow wish it was.

Has the world gone mad?

Sir Donny asked me if I read the reports written by the Independent and The Guardian news outlets?

I said no.

He went on to explain that they had discovered information that should probably scare the pants off us, if only he knew what they were. (his words).

He told me that there is a company in Germany that specialises in creating vaccines, not just vaccines other things too, but all to combat virus and disease.

He said that this particular company had an American CEO; Chief Executive Officer. The person that makes the decisions. And he asked me to remember that.

Then pecked me in the ear, apparently I had snored. I promised I had just been clearing my throat.

What he told me next woke me up!!!

According to the reports; the German company are working on a vaccine for corona virus, novel corona virus or covid 19, depending on what you read or listen to. He thinks the company are probably one of the best in the world; or that perhaps it could just be a coincidence. Then had one of his angry quacking/laughing fits.

After he had recovered he said the reports in both papers had stated that:

Donald Trump (and probably his administration, he said they always have to have a scapegoat) had offered 1 billion dollars for the cure, the vaccine. But, under the condition that, it was only for America. I re-iterate a duck told me this.

Sir Donny asked me if I still had pants on?

If this is true it is also very grave, he said. Then asked me to consider certain things. Why the face masks and the hand gel? And why does America want to control the vaccine?

Explaining about viruses he said they mutate but you can only ever get the same one once, your body finds the anti-body for it and locks it in. You can never get it again. It's always a different cold or flu virus. He also said to remember that.

Sir Donny said the reports suggested that a meeting had taken place between Donald Trump, Mike Pence and the then CEO of the German company, in the White House.

I was asked to think back a few weeks about statements being made by the POTUS himself (he had to quack/laugh, then he came back). It was statements about there being nothing to worry about and being sure a cure would be found soon.

Did I think it was a $1 Billion cure, he asked me?

He then asked me what sort of man I thought the orange comb over boy was? I shrugged and said I didn't understand what he meant. The POULTICE he said. I corrected him.

I asked him what the point of all of this was and he had an irate quacking fit. Like one I have never seen before. And then he told me this:

Remember the American CEO? He got the sack. I said you are not allowed to say that anymore. He fell on his back waving his legs in the air and quacking loudly, a sight to behold.

Once he had recovered and I had wiped his eyes he said: the German company in question had been taken over by the original founder; the person who had created the company and made it what it is today. He was now in charge.

They had released a statement Sir Donny said: Whatever we find is for the whole world.

He got quite grave then, again, and asked: Why would one human want to do this to another? Buy out the market and then control it when lives are at stake?

I said it's happened before. He asked me when? I said whoever is perceived as the most powerful is always the one in charge. He asked me is the public eye the perception? I had no answer.

Sir Donny suggested that perhaps something has been released that is now out of control. I reminded him that he is just a duck prone to laughing fits (or just quacking). But something has made the world stop, he said, and I am still a duck.

Then I had to pick him up and ask him if he needed Oxygen. Then he pecked me in the eye and told me to (I won't repeat what he said)

It still just is what it is. We have the choice too.

According to Sir Donny it hasn't gone completely mad.

He asked me to write something about the lake that he lives on, a memory.

So, several years ago, in winter, back when my daughter was more innocent and not so obsessed with social media, we went to the park to feed the ducks.

We know now that feeding bread to the local wildfowl is a bad thing to do but back then it was normal and they didn't seem to mind.

I mean; I have never seen anything like it. As we walked through the gates towards the lake it was like a gathering. And I am not exaggerating.

Nearly every floating bird made a positive move towards us, led by two swans. It was awesome. Then they all got out of the lake.

I didn't realise Swans were so big, or so polite. Having stood between two of them I can honestly attest to both.

I am only five foot seven, so not the tallest of men, but I didn't feel intimidated, it was more like privelege. I was standing between two Swans, in front of a lot of Geese and Ducks with a bag of bread in my hand. And they were asking me, or so it seemed.

It didn't remain so polite with the ducks and geese when I started giving the bread out but the swans never moved. They just stood there one on each side of me and waited. And when I gave them bread they just took it and remained where they were while the clamour went on in front of them.

Standing almost eye to eye with two swans was incredible. And we did look at each other.

Perhaps it would have been better if my younger daughter had been as obsessed with social media as she seems to be now because I think this may have gone viral.

But it is what it is and so I write about it. One of my favourite memories. And something I will never forget.

Standing between two very large and very polite Mute Swans while the Canada Geese and Mallard Ducks fought over the bread. It really was awesome.

And Sir Donny asked me to write about it. Although he say's he wasn't part of it, it gets passed down. Apparently he believes it will be enlightening, bless him.

Sir Donny got quite agitated about this, or at least I think he did, he may have just been laughing.

Now one of them likes to wear make-up and the other likes to look like he he put his clothes on while being dragged through a hedge backwards.

Or is it just some surreall self reality that we are supposed to be part of and buy into?

Life is not a game show or part of a lesson at private school.

Well...

...not for most of us

A.K.A. The ones that count (and can say origins...although that may have been an ill thought out jibe at the press and, perhaps, the people who invented light bulbs)

So what is it about? A picture of reality?

There is a certain picture of the self proclaimed one and it isn't as pretty as he'd like.

There are always pictures of the other one.

When an older woman won't vote for him because he doesn't even know how to buy shirts that fit....(I still haven't stopped laughing about any of it).

More than one picture exists, however, it's the latest ones that seem to be creating the most trouble (though how an inanimate object can cause trouble is way beyond Sir Donny's level of understanding).

However it also stated that "the hair looks good."

Sir Donny thinks it's a comb over with a lot of hairspray, (I couldn't comment).

Although he also wanted to know if they wear those big slappy shoes so he may not be such a reliable source.

He asked how safe I felt and then said he can't talk about certain countries because of migrating geese. I have no idea why he would say that, but I do know he thinks he has a point.

Then he told me top get up and go home and use photoshop.

So I did.

Sir Donny said he doesn't look happy...

He wanted to know where he lives...

When I asked why he wouldn't tell me. Something about locking up daughters and pecking eyes out; I think I may have heard, but I can't be sure.

He is, after all, a duck.

But he has a wicked sense of humour.

Gary Papa, 6ABC sports anchor lost his battle against prostrate cancer on Friday June 19th 2009.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Gary Papa spent the the major part of the next 27 years in upstate New York.

His 5 year battle ended at the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Gary Papa was 54.

Swine Flu and the Media Frenzy.....

Swine flu is most definitely the global medias' latest baby and they are feeding off it like a pack of wild dogs. Of course they are reporting facts but it's best to remember that the facts they choose and the manner they are reported are based on media coverage and viewing figures. Pandemic seems to be the favoured description. The genuine facts about swine flu just aren't so dramatic.

Here in the UK it is stated that there have been no reported fatalities from swine flu outside of Mexico. That doesn't mean people outside of Mexico haven't contracted it, it means no one has died. Certainly in this country the medical profession have clearly stated that people who contracted swine flu had very few problems; it really wasn't that serious. We have a natural immunity to it and fight it off easily. Besides they also state they have a huge stock pile of effective anti virus that is capable of treating millions of people.

It's not clear yet why people in Mexico died from the swine flu virus. Initial prognosis suggests it is most likely a different strain. Perhaps people in Mexico don't have as strong an immunity to flu or perhaps the virus mutated before it reached the US and Europe.

Either way the word pandemic isn't describing anything other than global flu and we've been here before. Bird flu fizzled out fairly quickly without too much trouble or incidence. The media are only doing their jobs but the genuine facts speak for themselves.

Google Set To Change Its Algorithm To Combat Spam

So it seems in some way the prediction was correct. Although not completely for the reasons I suggested a month or so ago about the number of scam and rip off style reviews, the reasons given are very similar. The official line is:

"to combat the spate of links leading to malicious web pages appearing at the top of Google’s search results"

How did I know this was coming? It was obvious wasn't it? Google are as notorious as Craigslist for the level of control they command over the way their web tools and sites are used. It's no bad thing either, continually levelling the playing field and removing the opportunities for scammers to propogate and thrive is in everyone's best interests. Especially those who rely on convential and honest methods of business promotion.

So keep your eye on the hill.....the monster is coming.....

Heather Schmidt, a classical singing artist, has contacted the FBI after what are suspected to be terrorist threats.

It seems Heather Schmidt may have become a target for al qaeda after performing in Pakistan. Her presence in Pakistan captured the attention of the then President Musharraf and an invitation to the Presidents mansion was accepted.

Published photographs of Heather Schmidt and President Musharraf are thought to be the reasons behind the suspected terrorist threats against her. Strange little occurences on Facebook, with photographs and even her schedule have slowly eaten away at Heather Schmidts' resolve and both herself and her management are growing more concerned.

Suzan Lewis is creating a bit of a stir amongst the internet community. The story relates to Suzan Lewis being the long lost daughter of comedian Jerry Lewis and sister of rock n roll legend Gary Lewis.

The relationship of both Jerry and Gary to Suzan Lewis was conclusively proved in a live and televised DNA test. Reality TV, you either love it or hate it. Apparently Gary Lewis is sympathetic to Suzan Lewis' plight but their father, it's suggested, isn't so. Her father didn't want it publicly known he had an illegitimate child and has discontinued the brief relationship.
It was her brother Gary who provided the DNA to conduct the test as he said if the roles where reversed he would want to know who his father was.

All this eventually came out on March 5th of this year and the disabled and formerly homeless Suzan Lewis finally discovered the truth.

Both Suzan Lewis and brother Gary Lewis are to be interviewed by Howard Stern on March 18th on his radio show.

The Clickbank Slap…? Is More Looming?

Clickbanks change in terms and conditions and reserving the right to adjust them again at any given time could be the rumblings of something bigger. On the other hand it could just be knee jerk whimpering.

The current trend of not quite libellous advertising strategies of the scam and rip off reviewers whose web sites laud it at the very top of Google could be the reason. Now if you’re reading this and wondering "what the hell is clickbank?" allow me to elucidate.

Clickbank is essentially an online marketplace. Product and software publishers can use the marketplace to sell their products and utilise other useful resources like affiliate programs and payment processing. The advantages are that anyone can promote a product on a huge marketplace and allow others to sell the products for them without having to set up membership sites, affiliate programs, complex payment schemes and payment processors. It’s a very good and affordable way to promote a product to a huge number of people.

But the aforementioned advertising tactics have surely cast a shadow on the ethics, policies and reputation of clickbank. In most cases the advertisers name specific products and occasionally actual people. Bearing in mind that clickbank both checks and monitors all products before they enter the marketplace and supposedly after, it does in some way tar clickbank with the same scam/rip off brush.

Considering both the size and influence of clickbank this isn’t really the brightest of campaign strategies and has forced them (clickbank) to distance themselves in a way that accepts no responsibility for publisher and affiliate activities alike. The use of the clickbank name is totally prohibited without prior consent and no responsibility is accepted for any of the products on the marketplace. Hmmm...a kop out perhaps?

So the question now really is: How much influence and sway do clickbank have with Google and are they getting themselves out of the way if the Google monster is stirring? Or is it really just the self deprecating whimper of a beaten and now uninterested clickbank?

Probably the latter is the most likely scenario. If Google are already prepared to allow that type of advert to run then it seems unlikely they’ll change their minds. But that’s the thing with Google; you just never know.

Tina Davis and Chris Brown???? Then he beats up Rihanna???? This story gets more bizarre by the day.

According to relevant sources Tina Davis sent a text message about her and Chris Brown meeting up. Rihanna saw the text message, got angry and slapped her cheating boyfriend upside the head. Apparently that was too much and big man Chris went ape.

Tina Davis is Chris Browns' 40 year old manager and it's been suggested that a relationship between them had been going on since he was 16 years old, he's now 19. Hmmm, now that's just down right NAASSTTY.

However none of this seems to have dulled the relationship between Rihanna and Chris, perhaps he really didn't mean it and promises it will never happen again. Bless.

Its a source of complete mystery why any woman, but especially one like Rihanna, would get back together with a man that has cheated, lied and beaten her up.

Such a hot topic this one. I feel the need to hurl further spanners with regard to a lot of the days commentary.

How is it that it seems to be perfectly acceptable for photographers to follow Rihanna (and other female celebrities) around beaches and events to photograph, often in secret, different situations in an attempt to capture a revealing image. Like a bikini slip or apicture from above or some see through clothing.

But one picture, just one, of a genuine, real world occurence in a popular celebrities life and all the bleating starts about how she shouldbe left alone. About how its private, not right and how would you feel if it was your mother/sister/daughter. I re-direct you back to the previous paragraph.

Reality Check

If Rihanna was that bothered then the big story would be the pending law suit.

All that aside the amazing little 19 year old has a huge world wide fan base of people that care and want to know.

As previously stated; if it really bothers you that much, Don't Look At It.

That picture of Rihanna looking all beat up has sparked a fair bit of comment and controversy.

Initial comments were unclear as to it's authenticity both as the alleged police photograph and as a photoshop knock up.

A statement has been released by the police that confirmed it resembled an image from a domestic violence case they are working on.

Most believe the picture of Rihanna isn't a production of photoshop and I agree, it looks genuine and truly awful.

In general most real fans are asking that she be left in peace to deal with her life....yeah right....like that's gonna happen.

It's a terrible thing and no-one desrves to be treated like that. But domestic violence is terrible for lots of women all over the world and if Rihannas courage and determination helps at least one then that can only be a good thing.

Besides why should she hide away, she's done nothing wrong. Why not let the world see what the bullying boyfriend did to her.

If it's too painful for you then don't look at the pictures.

Susan Brownell Anthony (February 15, 1820 – March 13, 1906) was a prominent American civil rights leader who played a pivotal role in the 19th century women's rights movement to introduce women's suffrage into the United States. She traveled the United States and Europe, and gave 75 to 100 speeches per year on women's rights for 45 years.

On November 18, 1872, Anthony was arrested by a U.S. Deputy Marshal for alleged illegal voting in the 1872 Presidential Election two weeks earlier. She had written to Stanton on the night of the election that she had "positively voted the Republican ticket – straight...". She was tried and convicted seven months later, despite the stirring and eloquent presentation of her arguments that the recently adopted Fourteenth Amendment, which guaranteed to "all persons born or naturalized in the United States" the privileges of citizenship, and which contained no sex qualification, gave women the constitutional right to vote in federal elections. The sentence was a fine, but not imprisonment; and true to her word in court, she never paid the penalty for the rest of her life. The trial gave Anthony the opportunity to spread her arguments to a wider audience than ever before.

Nancy Kerrigan (born October 13, 1969, in Stoneham, Massachusetts) is a two time American Olympic figure skating medalist and 1993 U.S. champion.

January 6, 1994, attack

Kerrigan gained considerable fame beyond the skating world when, on January 6, 1994, she was clubbed in the knee by Shane Stant at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Detroit. Stant had been hired to assault her by Tonya Harding's ex-husband Jeff Gillooly and friend Shawn Eckardt. Following the attack, her screaming of the words "Why? Why?" became well-known and were even included in ESPN's Sports Century video, which chronicle the most important sports moments of the 20th century. Though Kerrigan was not able to take part in the Olympic trials due to injury, the USOC gave her a spot on the team with encouragement from Michelle Kwan, to whom the spot would have gone.
1994 Winter Olympics and Walt Disney World controversy

A month after the attack, Kerrigan won the silver medal in the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics at the Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre, finishing second to Oksana Baiul in a controversial ruling that gave Oksana the gold medal by 0.1 points. Immediately following her program, Kerrigan's public image took a nose-dive. While Kerrigan and bronze-medalist Chen Lu waited over 20 minutes for Olympic officials to find a copy of the Ukranian anthem, someone mistakenly told her the delay was because Oksana was putting on make-up. Kerrigan then made the statement on camera that it would be a waste because Oksana would just "come out here and wreck it."
After Norwegian security had advised Kerrigan not to attend the closing ceremonies citing a lack of security for her, Kerrigan was criticized for leaving the Olympic venue to take part in a pre-arranged publicity parade at Walt Disney World, her $2 million sponsor. It was there that she was caught on microphone during the parade saying

"This is dumb. I hate it. This is the most corniest thing I have ever done."

She later said her remarks had been taken out of context: she was commenting not on being in the parade, but on having to wear her silver medal in the parade. Others have wondered if Kerrigan landed higher profile endorsements than gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi because of the publicized incident, or her better fitting an "all-American" image.
