Back in the 70s, when most music was still played by humans, we frequently heard the sounds of classical orchestra in popular disco music. What fun it was to dance to manual instruments such as flutes, violins, and horns of many types. Not that I’m opposed to the electronic dance music that runs the gambit today in night clubs and discotheques. But now and then, it’s nice to hear something not so mechanized and computer-synthasized. So I’ve assembled below, from my DJ music library, an orchestral disco music of the 70s list, that features the classical orchestra sound. I must say I was shocked to learn that so many big dance songs of that period, featured orchestral strings, woodwinds, and brass. Do enjoy this classical sound in some of the most popular (these) 1970s disco songs.

Over the past few months, I’ve brought home several cartons of Stonyfield Organic Reduced Fat Milk for review. In a phrase: Costly but excellent! Nowadays, I do not normally drink any milk with more fat in it than skim. But as I’ve been so pleased with the Stonyfield fat free milk offering, I figured it’d be worth while to test the reduced fat version, which tastes every bit as good as the skim. Maybe better in fact, especially if you prefer more milk fat than none in your milk.

The label says that this product is USDA certified organic, ultra pasteurized, and has vitamins A and D. There’s no “persistent” pesticides applied to the grasses that the cows eat that produce this organic milk. No antibiotids. No artifical growth hormones, and minimal stress on the cows they strive for. They support 180,000 acres of organic land per year, and support hundreds of “family farms,” which seems to be a fast-disappearing commodity in the USA these days.

Stonyfield strives for green-ness as a company, using some of their profits to combat global warming (via their Climate Counts initiative). At 38% less fat than whole milk, this product qualifies as 2% milk. In fact, they give 10% of their profits to projects that attempt to “protect and restore the earth.” So this helps me justify paying the nearly 2x cost for this product as compared to other non-organic brands.

But to the product itself now: I’ve consumed hundreds of gallons of reduced fat (2% milk fat) products like this one over three decades, and thus, have a good idea of what tasty-yet-reduced-fat milk should taste like. I find this organic milk somewhat better-tasting than Horizon, Great Value, and others of the best mainstream-brand organic milk products. I like Stonyfield 2% milk the most. It’s the best-tasting, most thirst-quenching treat right from a glass. Even on my blueberry-laced cereal, which is the place where I consume by far the most organic reduced fat milk, Stonyfield brand satisfies every bit as well Horizon.

Benefits Of Stonyfield Organic Reduced Fat Milk

At roughly $3.94 per half-gallon carton, Stonyfield organic milk is priced on par with other name brand organic milk products in the stores I’ve checked out, such as the Horizon and Great Value brands.

This Stonyfield organic product contains only two additives; including vitamins A and D3. This brand does not have added DHA omega-3 fatty acids.

They package it in a carton; not a plastic bottle. I believe that its wonderful taste therefore, is far less impacted by the leeching plastic compounds from the bottle that sometimes get into the milk, and destroy its gently sweet yet mild creamy flavor.

The carton also protects the milk from too much light exposure, which can degrade its flavor as well as nutritional values. Though the carton is by no means perfectly opaque, it noneless only allows a small amount of light to touch the milk.

Stonyfield Organic 2% Milk contains 130 calories per one-cup serving; significantly less calories than whole milk, and it features both reduced fat and lower cholesterol.

This milk product keeps for roughly two months in the refrigerator so long as it’s kept cold, and you do not open it. However, my personal experimentation shows that even once opened, this milk still does not sour for several weeks. So it’s a wonderful item to stock pile if you’ve got the room in your refrigerator. They say it keeps so long due to the ultra-pasturization, but they recommend that once you remove the pull-ring seal from the carton, that you use up this milk in seven days. Noted, I say. But it keeps much longer than that for me.

The flavor is mild with a creamy taste, and due to this greater cream amount, this organic milk passes no light. It resembles a thicker white paint in a clear glass.

This consumable is available at health food and bigger grocery stores like Walmart, Hometown Market, and Giant Eagle Market District here in PA.

Though there are dietary advantages to adding the DHA omega-3 fats to products, I appreciate that Stonyfield, like Great Value, offers an organic 2% milk product without any more than the required vitamin additives.

What I Dislike About Stonyfield Organic Reduced Fat Milk

My repeditive complaint about most any organic milk product like this one, is that they typically cost quite a bit more than its non-organic counterpart. So expect to pay around twice as much per half-gallon that an equal amount of non organic reduced fat milk. However, I don’t mind paying extra, as Stonyfield milk tastes much-improved over that of the non organic brands in my view, and is healthier than those besides.

Stonyfield Organic Reduced Fat Milk Ingredients

Organic grade A reduced fat milk, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3.

Stonyfield Organic Reduced Fat Milk Nutritio Facts

Serving size: 1 cup, or 243 milliliters. Servings per container: About 8. Calories: 130. Calories from fat: 45. Total fat: 5 grams, 8% DV. Saturated fat: 3 grams, 15% DV. Cholesterol: 20 milligrams, 7% DV. Sodium: 120 milligrams, 5% DV. Potassium: 360 milligrams, 10% DV. Total carbohydrate: 12 grams, 4% DV. Dietary fiber: 0 grams, 0% DV. Sugars: 11 grams. Vitamin A: 10% DV. Calcium: 30% DV. Vitamin C: 0% DV. Vitamin D: 25% DV. Iron: 0% DV.

Rating For Stonyfield Organic Reduced Fat Milk

I absolutely love Stonyfield Reduced Fat Organic Milk. But I must temper my rating somewhat due to the additional expense as well as the presence of the milk fat. Thus, I’d rate this product an 87 out of 100. Hopefully, they’ll find ways to bring the cost-per-half-gallon down nearer to 2% non organic milk that I grew up on.

Where To Buy Stonyfield Organic Reduced FatMilk

Take a carton home from your favorite larger local grocer, including Walmart and Giant Eagle. Look for it in the amber and white carton with the leisurely cows grazing in a pasture on the front, and with the white cap, in the refrigerated dairy section. Do drink organic 2% milk. Milk like this is certainly not “watery” these days.

I like these Lay’s Stax Original Flavor Potato Crisps. Though this canned version of Lay’s classic potato chips is a much younger product than Pringles, the signature Lay’s potato flavor has been enjoyed for decades, in the bagged version. Lay’s duplicated that flavor very well in their Lay’s Stax canned potato chips offering, which I’m reviewing here.

Lay’s Stax fit well into most any party cuisine, hold their freshness for several hours when poured into a non-sealed bowl, and are widely recognized as a snack food regular. They’re often sent to school with children in their lunch boxes, and served in school cafeterias as part of a balanced lunch menu.

Benefits Of Lay’s Stax Original Flavor Potato Crisps

This Stax product has perhaps the lowest amount of sodium per serving of any of the Stax products I’ve reviewed so far, at 140 milligrams. In this case anyhow, simple flavors like this one require less sodium.

Though I’ve enjoyed the numerous Lay’s Stax flavors, I believe that with the exception of the Salt & Vinegar flavor, I like this very simple original potato flavor the best. Their flavored chips have lots of extra chemicals that I’d rather avoid. So I’m back to basics with this simplified product.

Their natural potato flavor bests those bouts of afternoon snack-cravings and late-night yearnings for a light snack food.

These potato crisps have a notably rigid, snappy crunch, such that one-at-a-time in the mouth yields more than enough chomp. Two or three at a time becomes too hard to chew. One or two at once is plenty for me.

This product is neither oily nor greasy.

The quite realistic potato taste, unlike the more traditional bagged chips, never becomes monotonous to me.

This product is easy to find at many larger food stores. Even when you cannot find the other flavors of Lay’s Stax, stores will generally carry this more tried-and-true original flavor. So of all the Stax flavors, this one is probably the easiest to buy.

The freshness-locking plastic can, with the flexible plastic lid, keeps the chips from losing their revered crunchiness for weeks after the initial can-opening.

The chips in the can with the lid securely in place, remain fresh for months, or at the least, several weeks once the initial foil seal is removed. Thus, this is a great snack to stock pile, whether you’ve taken off that foil or not.

The cans may be stacked vertically or horizontally in many rows, without worry that the crisps inside will be crushed.

$1.50 per can, I feel, is a pretty decent price, and competitive with similar snack products.

I appreciate the shape of the plastic canister (oval). You can with more ease, firmly grasp the can when shaped as it is.

The chips are all the same shape (the hyperbolic paraboloid), which simplifies consuming them. You can reach into the canister and pull out a large stack in your hand, and stuff them into your mouth without much spillage. But as noted, eating one at a time is the way I eat this snack because these potato chips are significantly thicker than the Pringles, and thus, give more satisfaction per chip than do the Pringles ones.

What I Dislike About Lay’s Stax Original Flavor Potato Crisps

The chips are too much prone to breakage in the can if you jostle them abundantly,

Though I like these thicker-than-Pringles potato chips, perhaps the added weight per chip actually increases their sensitivity to breakage, by making them more brittle. But then again, it also prevents them from going flat too fast when exposed to the air. I don’t mind this extra break-ability much however.

Sugar (in the form of dextrose) is here. But please, Frito-Lay. Get rid of all that added sugar.

Due to the fat and lower-but-still-significant salt content, this product could not rightly be classified as a healthy food. It’s still a refined carb, and starchy, which can promote weight-gain. So eat them thus, in moderation, when acquiring or preserving a healthy weight. However if you’re an eat-drink-and-be-merry sort of person, then this is one snack you’ll highly approve of.

Lay’s Stax Original Flavor Potato Crisps Ingredients

Dried potatoes, vegetable oil (cottonseed, sunflower, and/or corn oil), unmodified potato starch, rice flour, and less than 2% of the following: mono- and diglycerides, salt, sugar, dextrose, and soy lecithin.

Contains a soy ingredient.

Lay’s Stax Original Flavor Potato Crisps Nutrition Facts

Serving size: 1 ounce (12 crisps). Servings per container: About. 6. Calories per serving: 150. Calories from fat: 80. Total fat: 9 grams, 13% DV. Saturated fat: 2.5 grams, 13% DV. Trans fat: 0 grams. Polyunsaturated fat: 3.5 grams. Monounsaturated fat: 1.5 grams. Cholesterol: 0 milligrams, 0% DV. Sodium: 140 milligrams, 6% DV. Total carbohydrate: 16 grams, 5% DV. Dietary fiber: 1 gram, 4% DV. Sugars: 1 gram. Protein: 1 gram. Vitamin A: 0% DV. Calcium: 0% DV. Vitamin C: 2% DV. Iron: 0% DV.

Rating For Lay’s Stax Original Flavor Potato Chips

I purchased a canister of these potato crisps a couple weeks ago for evaluation, and am sorry I haven’t gotten to them until now. Their ingredients list is quite small compared to the other Stax flavors, and that authentic potato taste, for which Lay’s has become so well-known, was packed true-to-form in this product. The chips have a light yellow luster that allows a good bit of light to pass through them. Unlike the bagged version of Lay’s potato chips, the crisps here are highly uniform, in the shape of a hyperbolic paraboloid. This allows them to stack well on top of each other in the canister.

While Lay’s Stax crumble in the can easier than the Pringles in my opinion, I do appreciate the thicker chips in this product, because they hold more salsa without cracking, and forming a tomato and jalapeno pepper mess on my jeans. So I’d rate this product at 92 out of 100.

Where To Buy Lay’s Stax Original Flavor Potato Chips

Look for this product in the blue can with the yellow, blue, red, and white label, with the bright yellow lid, at your favorite larger grocery or convenience stores.

I purchased a plastic tube of Lay’s Stax Sour Cream & Onion Flavor Potato Crisps a couple weeks ago for evaluation. The chips themselves resemble the original Lay’s Stax flavor in terms of color (a light potato yellow that passes through it a good bit of light), uniformity (near perfect hyperbolic paraboloid shapes), and stack-ability (although these cans stack better when stood vertically, end-to-end, than when laid horizontally and lengthwise on top of each other). The only visual difference between this and the original flavor, are the dark-colored green speckles that sparsely adorn these sour cream and onion potato chips. While Lay’s Stax seem to crumble in the can more easily than the Pringles, I do like the thicker chips that hold more salsa without breaking off, and making a tomato-pepper mess on my jacket.

I appreciate the shape of the plastic canister (oval shape). You can more firmly grasp the can when shaped this way.

Their sufficiently-strong onion and sour cream flavor bests those bouts of afternoon snack-cravings and late-night munchies.

Lay’s Stax crisps have a highly rigid, snappy crunch such that one-at-a-time in the mouth yields more than enough crunch. Two or three at a time becomes too hard to chew. One or two at once is plenty.

This product is neither oily nor greasy.

The quite realistic onion and sour cream flavor, unlike the more traditional bagged chips, never becomes monotonous to me. Indeed, you get that delicious chip-dip taste here without all those extra calories and saturated fat found in actual sour cream-based chip dips.

Plenty thick are these potato chips.

This product is easy to find at many larger food stores. However, you may not see the sour cream & onions flavor everywhere that you’d find the original flavor, as stores with limited space favor the original flavor over the others when stocking their shelves.

The freshness-locking plastic can, with the flexible plastic resealable lid, indeed keeps the chips from losing their revered crunchiness for weeks after the initial can-opening.

The chips, if kept in the can with the lid securely in place, keep for months, or at the least, several weeks after opening. Thus, this is a great snack food to stock pile, whether you’ve opened it or not.

The cans may be stacked vertically or horizontally in many rows, without worry that the potato crisps inside will be crushed.

I found this Lay’s product at a nearby Walmart for roughly $1.50 per can, which I felt was a pretty decent price, and competitive with similar snack products.

I appreciate this expanding plethora of multiple canned potato chip flavors, of which this sour cream and onion flavor was a part.

Like the original Lay’s Stax flavor, these sour cream and onion chips are all of the same shape, which simplifies consuming them. You can pick up a large stack in the palm of your hand, and stuff them into your mouth without much spillage. But as noted, eating one at a time is my modus operandi with this snack because these potato chips are significantly thicker than the Pringles.

What I Dislike About Lay’s Stax Sour Cream & Onion Potato Crisps

The chips break apart in the can a lot if you jostle the can very much. Though I like these thicker-than-Pringles potato chips, perhaps the added weight per chip actually increases their sensitivity to breakage.

Due to the fat and salt content, I would not classify this food as a healthy food. So eat them in moderation to maintain your weight control.

They have much fat and sodium in my view, at 9 grams and 190 milligrams respectively, per one-ounce serving (roughly twelve chips).

Sugar (in the form of dextrose) is here. But please. Get rid of all that added sugar.

Lay’s Stax Sour Cream & Onion Potato Crisps Ingredients

Dried potatoes, vegetable oil (cottonseed, sunflower, and/or corn oil), unmodified potato starch, rice flour, and less than 2% of the following: sugar, salt, mono- and diglycerides, dextrose, skim milk, soy lecithin, onion powder, whey, monosodium glutamate, corn starch, sour cream (cultured cream, skim milk), lactose, maltodextrin (made from corn), natural and artificial flavor, malic acid, citric acid, cheddar cheese (milk, cheese cultures, salt, enzymes), corn syrup solids, buttermilk, artificial color (including yellow 5 lake, blue 1, red 40), disodium inosinate, and disodium guanylate.

Contains milk and soy ingredients.

Lay’s Stax Sour Cream & Onion Potato Crisps Nutrition Facts

Rating For Lay’s Stax Sour Cream & Onion Potato Chips

I like these sour cream and onion potato chips. Though these are a much newer product than Pringles, Lay’s Stax fit well into most any party cuisine, hold their freshness for several hours when poured into a non-sealed bowl, and are widely recognized as a snack food regular. I’d rate this product at 90 out of 100.

Where To Buy Lay’s Stax Sour Cream & Onion Potato Chips

So look for them in the blue can with the green, black, and white label, with the bright yellow lid at your favorite larger grocery or convenience stores.

I found Lay’s Stax Pizza Flavor Potato Chips last month at Walmart, and fetched a couple of cans home, tried them out, and am now writing on on how they moved me. They’re okay, though I’m not highly impressed. Indeed, Lay’s does a great job mimicking the taste of frozen store-bought pizzas of the seventies and eighties in this product. But then, I never really liked frozen pizza, which is probably why I’m non plussed with these pizza flavored potato chips. However, this product has a stronger pizza taste than the Pringles pizza potato crisps I reviewed some weeks back.

To get the pizza taste in this offing, Frito-Lay used mainly natural ingredients like cheese, buttermilk, spices, and tomato powder. The potato chips themselves are coated each with a fair amount of a bright orange powder that carries the Italian-style pizza flavor in these potato crisps. However, though the taste in the Pringles I just mentioned is fairly strong, the Lay’s Stax pizza taste here seems even more intense.

Benefits Of Lay’s Stax Pizza Flavor Potato Chips

This canned potato chip product is fairly easily found at the bigger grocery outlets. I’ve not yet seen it in the smaller 24-hour-style convenience stores yet however.

Their reasonably good pizza essence can quickly eliminate that afternoon hunger or those bedtime food cravings. The crispy crunch exactly resembles that found in the other Lay’s Stax products. These chips never reach my basement retreat soggy or flat.

This snack is neither greasy nor excessively salty.

The stay-fresh plastic can with the lid for resealing keeps the chips inside fresh for weeks after first opening, and at least several months before. So this is a great snack to hoard. This plastic appears a bit more flexible than the Pringles cans, and thus, creates a better-fitting, more air-tight seal for the chips in the can.

The can is not as easily bent or distorted as the Pringles are at times. So the precision fit of the lid, and thus, the great seal it makes, lasts longer on the Lay’s Stax cans.

Zero grams of trans fat. None of the Lay’s Stax flavors I’ve tested thus, have any trans fats. Trans fats are fast-becoming history in the snack food industry.

These plastic cans may be stacked vertically or horizontally, several layers deep, without damaging the contents inside.

I found this product for roughly $1.50 per Super Stack can, and find this a non objectionable price.

As with Pringles canned potato chips, Lay’s Stax are all shaped identically, which simplifies eating them. You can, with near-effortlessness, grab a big handful, chew them, and swallow them without much crumbs reaching the floor.

What I Dislike About Lay’s Stax Pizza Flavor Potato Chips

Sugar (in the form of dextrose and unmodified potato starch) has been added. Do away with that excess sugar. How about it.

There’s a sizable list of modern-day food additives printed on the can that includes disodium inosinate and disodium guanylate. There are also a few artificial colors and dies. Not preferred.

These pizza flavored crisps have much fat and sodium as I understand food labels, at 9 grams and 200 milligrams respectively, per 1-ounce serving.

These potato chips can shatter into lots of little crumbs should you drop the can accidently.

Lay’s Stax Pizza Flavor Potato Chips Ingredients

Lay’s Stax Pizza Flavor Potato Chips Rating

In short: I find these potato chips flavorful and a satisfying break snack, even though the particular flavor they used is not my favorite. Though I can take or leave this particular pizza imitation, I can enjoy eating these when very hungry, and they’ll take that hungry edge off for a spell. In other words, these are not so bad that I would totally avoid them. They would simply not be my first snack choice, but definitely a higher selection than last.

People might confuse a Lay’s Stax potato chip with a Pringles one because their shapes are quite similar. Nonetheless, Lay’s Stax occupy a defining spot in the uniquely-flavored potato chip market, and I’d rate this product thus, at 88 out of 100. Though I’m only lukewarm to the pizza they chose to imitate here, it is a decent level of flavor nonetheless. That is, it’s strong enough to be easily recognized as pizza, but not so overpowering that you are unable to taste the potatoes in the chips. It would be worth several more points in my rating, if they made this product taste like today’s pizzeria-style pizza, rather than yesterday’s frozen pizza. Keep tryin’, Frito-Lay. You’ll get it.

Where To Buy Lay’s Stax Pizza Flavor Potato Chips

Most of the bigger stores that stock Pringles potato crisps, also sell Lay’s Stax potato chips. So look for Lay’s Stax pizza flavor in the deep blue plastic can with the bright pink label and the bright yellow lid at your favorite larger grocery stores such as Walmart, Giant Eagle, Weis, Hometown, et al. They may also appear at smaller, regional shops now and again. But this is spotty at best. I found mine at Walmart.

Can you cook frozen salmon fish? Absolutely you can, and you don’t need to thaw it first. In fact, for freshest taste, it’s best not to thaw this fish prior to cooking.

Also, every fillet is a little different in turms of weight, thickness, degree that it is frozen, and distribution of the flesh throughout. Thus, you can’t cook every fillet well by following the same set of cooking directions. So unless you’re working with stamped-out salmon patties, in which all these variables have been effectively normalized, you’ll need to attend to the cooking of your salmon fillets throughout the entire process. Do not wander away from the fish, lest you return and find it burned to a smoky, inedible blackness.

Cooking Frozen Salmon On A George Foreman Grill

I’ve cooked salmon fillets on my George Foreman grills. I turn the grill up to the high setting and allow it to completely warm up. It’s completely warm when the built-in thermostat turns off the heating elements the first time. Some of these grills have pilot lamps that indicate the on-off status of the elements.

Anyway, once the grill has reached the desired temperature, place the frozen salmon fillets inside and close the lid.

Allow to cook for ten to thirteen minutes, depending on how thick your salmon is. Half-inch thick fillets should be done in eleven or twelve minutes.

Every model of grill behaves differently. So test the fish by breaking a small area of it open during cooking, at preferably the thickest part of the fillet. Verify that it’s not still frozen and that the dark orange pinkness of typical raw salmon has turned into a flaky, very light peach-pink color.

Cooking Frozen Salmon In A Frying Pan on the Stove

You can cook frozen salmon on the stove as well. The trick here is to set the heat so that it’s hot enough to thaw and cook the inner portions of the fillet, but not so hot that it burns the outside of the fillet before the inside has thawed and cooked. A non stick skillet works best, but a cast iron one will do the job as well as long as you coat it with enough oil or cooking spray.

With that in mind, I typically start at a medium-high heat, and coat the frying pan with a little bit of vegetable oil. When a few drops of water dripped onto the skillet surface caus a loud sizzling, and the drops dance around a little before evaporating, your frying pan is ready for the salmon.

Apply any salt, garlic powder, lemon, or any other pre-cooking seasoning you desire at this point to the salmon.

Put the frozen salmon fillet into the frying pan. Then cover in order to minimize oil splatter and mess to the areas surrounding your stove. Keep your nose open to any smells of burning. At no point during cooking should you smell any strong burning. If you begin to, turn the heat down a notch or two.

Don’t go too low with the heat however. You should always hear a sizzling and little pops during cooking. If you do not, then turn up the heat a hair.

While riding the heat as just described, cook the salmon fillet for eight minutes or so. then, check it with a fork. The down-facing half to two-thirds of it should be thawed by this time and have started to lighten in color. Keep cooking with the current side down until you note this.

Then, flip the fillet of salmon over and fry up the other side for six to eight minutes, checking periiodically as just decribed.

The salmon is finished cooking when its thickest parts have turned light peachy pink at their centers, and the outar surfaces have browned to a chocolaty appearance.

Cooking Frozen Salmon in the Microwave Oven

Using a microwave, unless you’ve done this before with the particular microwave oven in question, requires keen and unfaltering attention. You need to observe the cooking process closely to ensure that you do not overcook the salmon.

Some microwave ovens offer a defrost cycle that you can use to thaw the salmon first, if you’re uncomfortable with defrosting and cooking all in one step. To use that, just follow the weight chart including in many microwave oven manuals in the section that explains how to use this defrost feature.

Once your salmon fillet is defrosted, immediately start the cooking cycle. For six to eight-ounce salmon fillets, I typically cook on high for three to five minutes to start, then stop the oven and check the center inside of the fillet for doneness. If it’s not completely cooked, then I cook an additional muinute or two, until it is completely cooked.

As with the George Foreman grill and the skillet on the stove, the salmon is not entirely cooked until it turns a light pinkish color through. However, when using the microwave, the outer surface will not become dark and crispy; though it may get to be overly tough if you nuke the salmon for too long.

Cooking Frozen Salmon in the Conventional Oven

And of course, most any chef, novice or pro, knows that you can cook most any frozen fish in the conventional oven, including salmon. Again, thawing of the salmon here is not required.

I set my oven to 400 degrees, and while it’s heating up, I line a shallow baking pan with aliminum foil.

Then, I lay the frozen salmon fillets in the pan. Note that I use no oil or cooking spray because at conventional oven baking temperatures, these oils can smoke and burn. At this time, brush or sprinkle your favorite seasonings onto the fillets.

Next, once the oven has reached the desired temperature, I put the pan with salmin on the middle rack, in the middle of that rack. There should be open space between the pan and the oven walls on all sides to encourage uniform baking of the salmon.

After twelve to fourteen miinutes, I turn over each salmon fillet.

Then, I allow it to bake for another twelve to fourteen minutes. Your nose will let you know when cooking time has nearly elapsed, with the scent of baking but not burning.

Remove the salmon after it’s baked on the second side, and let stand for a few minutes until the sizzling stops.

Finally, serve immediately, dig in, and enjoy.

I’ve dated much older women in my time, ranging from seven to eighteen years older than myself, and enjoyed most of those relationships, most of the time indeed. But while I would avoid advising men not to do it, I did encounter some issues that are part-and-parcel to the reality one must generally face when becoming romantically involved with a lady who is his senior by many years.

She may know much more than you know. Statistically, relationships involving older women with younger men aren’t promising. One reason is that traditionally (over eons), the male has been the bread-winner in the relationship, and thus, the more knowledgeable in matters of business, and commanding greater resources thus. While this is less true today as women move closer to achieving financial and intellectual equality with men, there nonetheless seems to be a remnant expectation that the man be the more business-savvy and thus, command more intellectual and money resources than the woman. However, you often defy this expectation by dating an older women, particularly if she’s more well-established financially and intellectually than you are yourself. In that case, she becomes the primary bread-winner, and even in this modern time, that role many still see as belonging exclusively in the province of the male.

You may be disappointed once you see your older lady in her entirety. While she may hide well her age in the early stages of your courtship, eventually the makeup and other beauty props will come off, and you will see her in all her revealing glory. But you may not like what you see then (sagging, wrinkles, spots, fat, Etc.), but still have much difficulty getting away. Perhaps you will have developed emotional bonds with her that cannot be so easily dismissed because you learn that she’s much older looking under the covers.

She may deem your needs immature. You may repeatedly want more sex than she does, and she thus, may begin thinking you childish, and carry this judgment into your other non-sexual interactions. She may criticize your boyish obsessions with video games, touch football, and dirt bike riding; activities so much enjoyed by the younger crowds but dismissed by the older ones. Ultimately, she may look down on you for acting so much younger than she would act herself. To keep her happy, you’d have to renounce many desires before you’re ready.

She may not be able to have children. For me this was no problem, as I do not wish to father kids. But if you want kids yourself, you’d best steer clear of much older women unless you’re willing to shoulder all the extra risks that come with an older woman birthing a baby.

She may be quite set in her ways, jaded, and not at all pliable or open to new ideas that younger folk often bring to a relationship. So you could end up spending much time each week being rejected as you ask her to accompany you to activities (loud concerts, alcohol parties, et al) that mostly, she’d rather avoid.

She may develop health problems way before you. The fact that she’s a lot older raises these odds considerably. She may as a result, die, long before you’re ready to give her up to heaven. Making very long-term plans with a much older woman therefore might be a bad idea.

If she hasn’t already, passing through menopause may negatively affect her mood; sometimes, for years. This means that she may chronically decline your invitations for dates and other together-times. She may get cranky more often and otherwise more difficult to love in general.

The older she is, the more people she may know; including ex-boyfriends and husbands. Many younger men are uncomfortable coping with this baggage, especially as often happens, her time is divided between yourself and those other, longer-acquainted men. The fact that you’ve known her for fewer years than her previous lovers can make you chronically jealous, especially if these people come around too often.

She’ll likely age considerably faster at her age than you will at yours, as a person indeed ages more quickly at 55 year old than at 35 years of age. So in this scenario, that part of her beauty that is youth-based (a very significant part) will likely fade away right before your eyes after a time.

In the fantasy world, both men and women are drawn to the beauty of youth, but in reality, soon realize the lacking practicalities of getting involved with a much younger person for the long haul. So in your case, young man, the older woman’s interest in you may be short-lived. Rather than loving you for real, she may simply be youth-obsessed. She may, albeit subconsciously, view you obsessively, as a mere boy-toy. We all know that interest in toys in general, dies pretty quickly, especially when the toy is readily available. But playing hard to get in order to keep her from losing interest too quickly here is not the best answer here. A better choice might be to avoid dating older women altogether to best avoid the youth-obsessed.

As I started off this piece saying, a relationship with a much older woman can be a highly fulfilling and joyous endeavor. But it does have numerous drawbacks, and the older the woman is than you, the more pronounced and numerous will be these drawbacks.

But, if permanence is not your top priority, and you do not mind negotiating the various curves in your relationship journey that loving an older woman brings with it, then hey! Go for it. After all, even relationships forged under the best of circumstances do not last forever, and these days, most of them end even before they really get started. Further many happy loving relationships have endured for decades that involve younger men and older women. So dating a much older woman does not necessarily doom you to failure. Indeed, younger guys possess a strong ability to adapt to different situations, and perhaps you could learn, if you do not know already, how to adapt to your older woman as the pitfalls of the age difference become clearer. Good luck, and take care.

While looking for additional variations of the Tabasco Brand product line to describe, I discovered this mild smoke-flavored Tabasco Brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce. I’ve never seen this sauce prior to a couple months ago, but have used it to beef up the smokehouse flavor of pork roasts in the crock pot. Until now, I’ve not stocked it very often. But I’ll start now, as I’ve discovered that this warm sauce is a highly convenient means to get delicious smoked flavors into my meats, much as they do with Slm Jim beef sticks and Jack Link’s beef jerky. The chipotle pepper essence is mild, perhaps because it splits the total taste with the smokehouse flavor. The flavor of smoke, more than heat, dominates this pepper sauce.

I thought to procure a 5-ounce bottle of this chipotle Tabasco sauce for review. Indeed, I like the predominantly smoky yet gently hot taste, thinner appearance, glass bottling, and low price of this product from McIlhenny Company of Avery Island, LA. This sauce is mild enough that you can use it as a steak sauce without fear of destroying the natural flavores of your more expensive cuts of beef.

I’ve applied Tabasco chipotle pepper sauce to hamburgers and steaks, with highly pleasing results. I’ve even dripped it onto packaged beef sticks when I felt that they lacked sufficient smoke flavor. Excellent flavor booster.

Keep in mind that while you may rightly refer to this product as a hot sauce, it’s actually quite different. The smokehouse flavor and the fact that this sauce incorporates a disimilar pepper (chipotle pepper) from the Louisiana-style hot sauces (red pepper), make it differ so from traditional hot sauces. So this chipotle sauce works best on different foods from the red pepper hot sauces. I like it on beef and pork meats, but would not put it on seafood. The aroma of this product is also not much like red hot sauce, as it smells mostly of hicory smoke. Pleasant to be sure. But this scent makes it unsuitable for certain foods in my view.

Here are my over all positive thoughts on this hot sauce.

Benefits Of Tabasco Brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce

The smoky flavor of this USA-made product accents the taste of so many pork- and beef-based dishes. As this is a mildly-spiced sauce, it generally will not completely obscure the base meat flavor of whatever you add it to. This smoke sauce does not as-easily fatigue the tongue as hotter sauces can. But still, don’t over-apply it unless you really love smokehouse flavor.

It’s a thinner sauce. So it pours easily. The shaker-top bottle prevents accidental over-application of this product.

Information from the included box: This product contains smoked red jalapenos, and favorably flavors burgers, baked beans, and ribs. I’m eager to put this on a Sheetz pork sub next time I get lunch there.

This product need not be refrigerated after opening (no refrigerate instruction appears on the label). So just store it in a cool, dry, and dark place for maximum smokey-pepper flavor preservation.

This sauce adds little heat flavor, and virtually no calories or carbs. This makes it a low-risk flavoring for expensive cuts of meat. However, while you may not taste it so much on your tongue, it does heat the throat on the way down. So keep a glass of your favorite beverage nearby just in case those throat-flames get out of hand.

The little bit of heat there is here, is easily washed down with your favorite glass of something.

I’d describe this hot sauce though, as exceptionally mild; So I’d apply it liberally to any party recipes that call for lots of the smokehouse flavor.

The glass-bottle packaging is good for best flavor preservation.

This product has no added food colors or preservatives. Yet it stores well for at least two years.

Further, Tabasco contains almost no calories, carbs, or fat.

There’s little sweet taste to become addicted to here, which is wonderful. Even the small amount there is, is masked by the smokehouse taste.

This mild hot sauce is fairly easy to find in most bigger grocery stores.

What I Dislike About Tabasco Brand Chipotle Pepper Smoked Sauce

I found no best-when-used-by date anywhere on the bottle. However, I think this product would keep a long time since it contains no dary or meat ingredients. I’ll update this as I gain more experience with stock-piling this smoke sauce.

How about some recipes printed right on the bottle?

The sodium in this product is moderate, at 130 milligrams per teaspoon. Indeed, the label reveals added salt as well as sugar.

Do away with the outer box, and put the box information right on the bottle label, in order to lower product cost a bit more, and cut down on the rubbish that ends up in our landfills and incinerators.

This product can separate, so shaking well before each application is necessary to get the most flavorsul spurts of sauce from it.

Tabasco Brand Chipotle Pepper Smoked Sauce Rating

All-in-all, this daintally-flavored chipotle pepper sauce is a beef- or pork-cook’s friend for ramping up foods with somkehouse taste. The mildness here should offend few if any guests. In moderation, this Tabasco hot sauce a healthy flavoring, as it contains no fats. Just watch the sodium. So I recommend it be included as a condiment in your pantry. I’d rate Tabasco Brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce at 92 out of 100.

Where To Buy Tabasco Brand Chipotle Pepper Smoked Sauce

Look for this pepper sauce in the clear glass bottle (that displays the brown-orange hot sauce inside) with the white, fading brown, red, and green, label at the larger grocery stores.

While looking for more kinds of hot sauce with which to drench my favorite foods, I bought this medium-to-mild-flavored Tabasco Brand Jalapeno Pepper Sauce at Walmart last week. This product has been sold for as long as I can remember, and I have used it from time to time, being that I’m a die-hard jalapeno pepper fan. I really like it even though I do not store much of it in the basement. After all, if I stock-piled every product that I consider to be high quality, I’d quickly run out of room, not only in the basement but in the rest of the house as well.

However, I’ll start buying this product periodically, as I’ve discovered that this lower-heat sauce is quite delicious. Indeed, I like the peppery but lower-kick taste, thinner consistency, glass bottle, and fair price of this product from McIlhenny Company of Avery Island, LA. It goes well on salads and shaken into soups and sandwiches. The included box hints that it makes a great south-of-the-border flavoring for tacos, taco salads, enchiladas, and as an additive to Mexican style nacho dips.

Tabasco Jalapeno Pepper Sauce resembles a mild hot sauce in terms of the amount of heat it packs. But I wouldn’t exactly call it a hot sauce, at least not in the traditional sense of the phrase. Though Tabasco Jalapeno certainly has some kick, its overall taste differs markedly from the Louisiana-style red pepper hot sauces that I’m so fond of, via more than just the lower spice level. This product’s color is milky green (like jalapeno peppers); not orange (like the red peppers found in Louisiana hot sauce). However, this jalapeno sauce still has significant kick and spice. So it’s not so mild that you can drench your food with it, and expect no burning consequences whatsoever. *smile* It can still leave your mouth “on fire” if you consume too much too quickly. Plus, it will numb your tongue to other flavors as well if you overuse this at-first mild-tasting hot sauce.

I’ve applied Tabasco jalapeno sauce to fish, pork, and chicken dishes occasionally for years. It’s a wonderful way to throw in a Mexican flavor twist to your favorite meals. A few drops of this in a bowl of soup adds a subtle pepper flavor without completely obscuring the taste of the rest of the soup. Nice. Here are my over all positive thoughts on this green hot sauce.

Benefits Of Tabasco Brand Jalapeno Pepper Sauce

It’s a thinner sauce, which is quickly absorbed into the bread coatings of fish and chicken patties. It’s natural.

Made in the USA, this milder yet still-formidable jalapeno flavor is hot enough that it still satisfies those who enjoy eating hot and spicy foods.

The best-used-by date is a year out from the purchase date. So this peppery green sauce will keep a long time in the your pantry cupboard.

This product need not be refrigerated after opening. Just place it in a cool, dry, and dark spot for maximum original-flavor preservation.

This liquid jalapeno adds plenty of mild pepper flavor to any dish but virtually no carbs.

I’d describe this hot sauce as gently warm. Yet I’d cautiously place it into party recipes that call for lots of this hot sauce, as people may not eat them due to the heat there still is in it.

I love the glass bottle; better than plastic containers for best-preserving the product’s flavor.

This product has no added food colors, though it does incorporate ascorbic acid to help preserve the taste. It stores well for at least a year.

Further, Tabasco contains almost no calories, fat, or added sugars. Hypertensive folks can consume this product and worry way less that it will raise blood pressures.

There’s absolutely no sweet taste to become addicted to here, which is spectacular. Even if there was a small amount of sweetness, I’m sure that the peppery heat would mask it quite well.

Tabasco products (especially the red and jalapeno pepper sauces) are carried by practically all major grocery stores. So this product is generally a cinch to locate.

What I Dislike About Tabasco Brand Jalapeno Pepper Sauce

The sodium in this product is high as compared to the original Tabasco sauce, at 150 milligrams per teaspoon.

It also contains corn starch (essentially sugar), probably to thicken it up.

How about some recipes printed right on the bottle?

I’m not sure what added benefit there is to packaging the glass bottle into a thicker paper box othe than visual glorification and providing more information about it that what’s already included on the bottle label. So get rid of the box in order to lower product cost, and put the box info right on the bottle. There’s room.

Tabasco Brand Jalapeno Pepper Sauce Ingredients

Distilled vinegar, jalapeno pepper, water, salt, corn starch, xanthan gum, ascorbic acid (to preserve freshness).

Tabasco Brand Jalapeno Pepper Sauce Nutrition Facts

Serving size: 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters). Servings per 5-ounce container: about 30. Calories: 0. Total fat: 0 grams, 0% DV. Saturated fat: 0 grams, 0 DV. Trans fat: 0 grams. Sodium: 150 milligrams, 6% DV. Total carb: 0 grams, 0% DV. Protein: 0 grams, 0% DV. Vitamin C: 4% DV.

Tabasco Brand Jalapeno Pepper Sauce Rating

All-in-all, this softer-flavored jalapeno pepper hot sauce is a busy person’s friend for quickly peppering up foods with spicy essence. Some will like it. Some will not. So know what your guests likes before serving foods that include lots of Tabasco Jalapeno sauce. In moderation, this hot sauce is healthy, as it contains no added fats. So I recommend it be made part of any chef’s kitchen. I’d rate Tabasco Brand Jalapeno Pepper Sauce at 94 out of 100.

Where To Buy Tabasco Brand Jalapeno Pepper Sauce

Look for this product in the clear glass bottle (that displays the green hot sauce inside) with the white, green, and red, label at just about all grocery stores big or small. It also sports green foil around the neck of the bottle, that says “Tabasco milder jalapeno.”

While looking for additional brands of hot sauce to evaluate, I discovered this notably hot-flavored Tabasco Brand Red Pepper Sauce at Walmart. This product has been around since I can remember, and I’ve used it from time to time. However, until now, I’ve not stocked it in my kitchen. But I’ll start now, as I’ve discovered that this hot sauce is a much-lower sodium example of pepper sauce than any of the other hot sauces I’ve reviewed so far. It’s simple too, built with only three ingredients. But more on that below.

Anyway, I decided to bring home a 5-ounce bottle of this original Tabasco sauce for review. Indeed, I liked the overall sharp taste, thinner consistency, glass bottling, and low price of this product from McIlhenny Company of Avery Park, LA. Indeed, many companies make hot sauce in the here and now, due to its versatile spicy flavor. Apparently many folks like me, enjoy that strong Tabasco pepper kick, as this sauce is a favorite alongside hamburgers, fish, and chicken dishes.

I’ve applied Tabasco red pepper sauce to fish dishes now and again for decades. Tabasco brand is among the hottest pepper sauces I’ve ever shaken onto ribs. It has a mean bite that will numb your tongue if you spread it too liberally on your food. Not a bad thing. Just a fact of this particular pepper sauce. Sometimes, it’s too hot to use on fish. I have to be in the right mood for it. But when that mood strikes, Tabasco on seafood is delicious.

Note however that while you may correctly refer to this product as a hot sauce, it has a distinctly different flavor than the brands that dub themselves as Louisiana hot sauce. However, the Tabasco aroma closely resembles many of those other hot sauces.

Here are my over all positive thoughts on this hot sauce.

Benefits Of Tabasco Brand Red Pepper Sauce

The curiously hot flavor of Tabasco strongly accents the taste of so many fish- and poultry-based entrees. It’s so strong that it can hide the “fishiness” of fish and the “fowlness” of chicken near-completely if desired. But don’t over-apply it, as it will indeed give your tong taste fatigue, and the burning sensation will last for ten minutes or more. Also, have plenty of your favorite beverage nearby to douse the heat.

It’s a thinner sauce, which is quickly absorbed into the bread coatings of fish and chicken patties. It’s natural.

The box they include with this sauce offers several simple suggestions of foods that Tabasco sauce goes well with, including eggs, pizza, and salad dressings.

This shockingly sizzling flavor offers a loud, peppery hotness.

The best-used-by date is two years out from the purchase date. So this fiery hot sauce will keep a long time in the your recreational foods chest.

This product need not be refrigerated after opening. Just store it in a cool, dry, and dark place for maximum original-flavor preservation.

This sauce adds plenty of heat flavor to any dish but virtually no calories or carbs. I prefer it most on fish fillets and pork.

I’d describe this hot sauce as quite hot; I’ve tasted very few other hotter sauces. So I’d avoid party recipes that call for lots of this hot sauce, as people may steer clear of them due to the extreme spice.

I love the glass bottle; better than plastic containers for best flavor preservation.

This product has no added food colors or preservatives. Yet it stores well for at least two years.

The sodium in this product is way low, at just 35 milligrams per teaspoon.

Further, Tabasco contains almost no calories, carbs, fat, or added sugars. Hypertensive folks can consume this product and worry way less that it will raise blood pressures.

There’s absolutely no sweet taste to become addicted to here, which is spectacular. Even if there was a small amount of sweetness, I’m sure that the peppery heat would mask it quite well.

This hot sauce is quite easy to find in most any grocery store or convenience shop.

What I Dislike About Tabasco Brand Red Pepper Sauce

How about some recipes printed right on the bottle?

Once this Tabasco sauce sets your mouth ablaze, you can’t just drink one, two, or even five swigs of water to quench it. Oft time, you must wait for the flames in your mouth to die down on their own.

People sensitive to this high level of flavor should avoid this product, in my view.

I think, given the apparent strength of the glass bottle, that they could do away with the box in order to reduce the cost of this Tabasco sauce.

Tabasco Brand Red Pepper Sauce Rating

All-in-all, this muscular-flavored red pepper sauce is a seasoned cook’s friend for amping up foods with seriously spicy flavor. Some will like it. Many however, will not. So know your guests preferences before serving foods that include lots of Tabasco in their recipes. In moderation, Tabasco hot sauce a highly healthy flavoring, as it contains no added sugars or fats, and it’s low sodium too. So I highly recommend it be included any any chef’s kitchen. I’d rate Tabasco Brand Pepper Sauce at 99 out of 100. It’s a near-perfect food.
