Yup, Tiramisyu’s server got hacked. Will not be posting updates until I fix it. Toodles.

For those wondering, my SOTM for May has ended and due to a little mishap with the server I’m late with announcing who’s the winner. The winner for Tiramisyu’s first Site of the Month May goes to Georgina at Heart Drops!!! Please say your congratulations to her, she deserved it. Coming up second place is Dayna at Amour Chaleur, her site is also fantastic and was definitely a close one coming second.

I’ve been working on a project recently with a few others, some of you may know from Twitter. It’s plonk.in. It’s basically a URL shortner much like TinyURL but infinite times better! Okay, maybe I am exaggerating. It’s still in it’s beta stages so any bugs, feedback, suggestions or whatever we’d really appreciate it. Please use it and spread the word about it, I’m sure you like it much more than any of the other URL shortners, yes yes?? Of course you do. Hahaha, so yes apart from having headaches from Tiramisyu’s server I’ve been working on that.

Firstly, I updated my advertising packages and pricing. I’ve got some more permanent advertising plans available. If you have sent me advertising forms a few days ago and I haven’t replied yet is probably because I never got your email. My email client kind of screwed up and died on me so I might have missed some emails that were sent.

Secondly, I bought a server from Media Temple, yes an actual server; not going to be hosted as a reseller or master reseller. It’s got Plesk instead of cPanel, I’m so sick of seeing cPanel everywhere. People need to experience other control panels then cPanel. It’s a tad harder to use, but I think it’s great for a little more experienced webusers. I’m opening up a hosting site for Plesk panels soon using that server, it will be launched very soon. Just a few more tweaks here and there.

Ashpink.com on the other hand will soon be hosted on it’s own dedicated server too (probably in about a month or two), just trying to find the best possible deal for a dedicated at the moment. It will have cPanel instead so people can choose between Plesk or cPanel. I’ve just finished setting up the client area for Ashpink, here is a sneak peak: my.ashpink.com.

Third, I’m going to give away one brand new 4gb iPod shuffle, new generation version. Stay tuned for that, I’m not sure what kind of contest I should make for it. If you have any suggestions let me know.

And finally, I have another source of income! It’s like a job but wouldn’t say it’s a real job though but just something I can earn extra cash with. I basically write articles for this awesome guy, he’s paying me $100 for the current article I’m writing. $120 if it’s really good. I’m also doing some freelancing, made a logo sign thing for $40. Pretty good.

If you are hosted by Parade Hosting or your host is hosted by Parade, for some reason I cannot view any websites on their server. They’ve tried adding my IP and unblocking me but FAIL, so they’ve forwarded the problem to their server tech. I’m going to delay returning comments until I get unblocked since nearly every website I click doesn’t load because they are on Parade’s server. So sorry!

I will edit this in a day or so because I have a few updates I need to post up and I don’t want to post another blog entry as I won’t have much to say, so check back my lovelies. <33

If you’re seeing things that don’t look right, there’s broken links, weird symbols or whatever it’s because I’ve just switched hosts and haven’t found all the problems so please tell me if there is something out of place so I can fix it up asap. Media Temple, is now my new host. My old host was hosted through Dreamhost and her hosting account was ‘under approval’ of sometime. I assumed this meant that she had not paid her bills or whatever, she wasn’t a bad host-uptime was fantastic. I actually quite liked being hosted there but the fact that her account was ‘under approval’ meant that I could not access my control panel, I was also unable to contact her about it. I had a feeling that she will close without warning and I got scared so that’s why I moved to a new host.

Don’t you all think Media Temple looks professional and different? That was what got me to be hosted with them as well as the fact that they host big branded companies like L’Oreal, Toyota etc. They’re control panel is also different, I’m sick of seeing cPanel. Oh btw, Dreamhost has a fantastic control panel. So yeah, I got hosted with Media Temple. Pretty pricey though, I paid $234 for a year… stupid exchange rates broke my bank! I hope it’s worth it. Don’t understand why I signed up for an expensive host when my website isn’t grand or anything. I think I’m just wasting my money but what the heck. Damn you Media Temple and your flashy layout and packages!!! I just wanted to experience something other than the usual shared hosting with cPanel and crap.

On a another note, I’m considering of buying a dedicated server for AshPink. My current host for that is driving me up the ass, maintenance every single month, apparently this is going to be the last time for a long time they said. I’ll stick for another month or two and see how it is. If anyone wants to pitch in as in co-own, please please give me a shout.

I was just going to say something but I forgot, argh don’t you hate it when that happens? You full on try to remember it but it just doesn’t come back until 5 hours later. Oh, I remember now. I was going to rant about shitty web-owners. I’ve been blog hopping a lot lately and there were some things which really ticked me off. People that give website reviews so damn harsh when their own website look horrendous. I don’t know whether this is a trend or something, by acting bitchy in your reviews so it seems as if you’re more superior. If you’re going to act like a total hag, at least criticise constructively. I’m glad I haven’t received any bitch reviews, I’ll just bite their head off back.

What else really agitates me are those big ‘backwards/forwards’ banner things. I really don’t see the need in having banners, especially overly large ones. What’s wrong with a small button or a text link if you must have those. I don’t think people even use those, I’m pretty sure in every browser there are backwards/forward history buttons. Is it really that necessarily? Does it make your website any better if you have it there? Does it make it any worse if you don’t have it?

Anyways, I finally found a decent text editor and FTP software for Mac’s. Panic’s Coda and Transmit FTP. It’s too bad they’re not free, and Coda is quite expensive for a light weight text editor. But since I’m a cheapo crook, I hacked them. Shhh, don’t tell. I’m loving my new found programs oh so much <3.

Edit: I didn’t want to post up a new blog entry since this blog was so short and it was posted a few hours ago. I’ve posted up my first article on Dollish, it’s a product review on the L’oreal Corrector Pen. Fantastic product.

Last night was the first night I’ve ever been home so early from clubbing; I went home about 1:30 – 2am. It was my friend Geena’s birthday, everyone was tired and decided to go to a bar so I might as well go home. I hate bars – It’s boring because I don’t drink, the taste of alcohol is gross. I’d just be sitting there sipping on my water or coke or whatever that is non-alcoholic there while my friends are slooowwwly getting more and more tipsy by the minute. Yeah, so I went home. Oh, one of her friends said to me “I think you’re really pretty, seriously”. That gave me a massive head. LOL. I went home and in the car I kept saying to my boyfriend, “someone thinks I’m pretty!! Yay!!”. Haha, big head I have. Poor guy, I bet in his mind he was thinking, “STFU!”.

I went to Havana Club De Lux, when we got inside it was still pretty early so hardly anyone was there yet. My friends dragged me onto the dance floor and started dance. There was absolutely NO ONE ELSE on the dance floor, just them dancing in the middle. It was embarrassing because then everyone gathered around the dance floor and watched. I walked off, no way I’m dancing by ourselves haha. Especially with Israel standing in the VIP section watching us. I could feel his eyes on me, I made a fuss about dancing in the middle, so embarrassing.

Havana was on Oxford Street in the city, and to those that don’t know Oxford Street is gay. No, I’m serious – it’s a homosexual street and kinda sleazy too ( you get those random sleazy guys that you don’t know whether they’re homo or not)! You will see so many homosexual people walking around, there’s a bunch of gay clubs and if you walk further down the street you’ll get to Kings Cross which is the home of prostitutes and brothels.

I got there too early so I was walking around by myself, all dressed up waiting for my friends. They probably thought I was a hooker or something because I was leaning against the wall just standing there. So many gay people walked past me, I only noticed the men because lesbians are hard to tell unless they’re full making out or something. No offense to anyone that is gay, I just found it really weird because I’ve never seen gay couples in public. Holding hands, hugging from the back, rubbing each others asses (?), smooching. Kinda freaked me out a bit. WHERE WERE MY FRIENDS????

I think I’ll make another mini-edit later, I’ve got to go work now. Eh, work on Saturday labeling boxes is damn boring.

New layout cos I got sick of seeing the same thing since last year. If you’re seeing weird things, that’s just me fiddling around with the new theme. I’m still trying to fix it up a bit especially the damn comments section.

Has anyone heard of Basshunter? I’ve recently gotten into his music and I’ve got his album on repeat. My favourite song of his would have to be, Now You’re Gone. The main girl in the music video is so pretty – it’s too bad she went in the wrong direction when she was younger, she used to be a pornstar now its hard for her to get something decent in life but anyways check out the song – might not be your style but I love it ;]

5. Ashpink is driving me nuts – clients giving me the shits.
6. I’m struggling financially – I NEED A JOB!
7. I’ve started college, doing Business/Medical Admin
8. I went up to Gold Coast with a few friends for a week in February
9. My ID got confiscated by asshole bouncers which then ruined the last few days left at Gold Coast
