Vintage Coats - Designer Names - Hollywood Style

We are name dropping with some gorgeous vintage coats that will keep you toasty warm in style.

Don Loper was a fashion designer based in Hollywood from the 1930 - 1960s. He was featured in an episode of I Love Lucy in 1955 called the "Fashion Show". Loper was known for lavish gowns and Hollywood glamour.

Fabulous black wool coat by designer Don Loper. Stunning coat features a dramatic cape collar and clutch style opening accented by braided trim. 2 slash pockets. Side slits at hem. Fully lined in satin. National Recovery Board label. This winter coat will keep you warm for many years.

Best known as the "Couturier to Camelot" Oleg Cassini is noted for being chosen by Jacqueline Kennedy to design her state wardrobe in the 1960s. It is reported he designed 300 outfits for the First Lady, including a much-copied coat made of leopard pelts and a heavy satin gown for the inaugural ball in 1961.

Here is an incredible vintage find from the late 1960s - 1970s. High fashion, celebrity, rock star glamour and luxury! A vintage Oleg Cassini silver fur and grey leather coat.

Lilli Ann was started by Adolph Schuman in San Francisco in 1933, naming the company after his wife. The company was known for their good workmanship and high-quality fabrics including beautiful, elaborately designed suits and coats.

We have two coats by Lilli Ann. First is this 1950s classic swing style coat in lipstick red mohair with a fluffy fur collar. Loose fitting design with wide bracelet length sleeves, 2 pockets and large covered buttons.

Next is this 1960s Lilli Ann vintage tweed coat with modern chic style. In black and white herringbone it features a big black fur collar, wide black belt and side pockets. 2 buttons and a large center snap at opening.

Where has the time gone?

The time sure does fly but I wasn't off having fun. Unfortunately, my brother in law passed away at the beginning of July. He owned the business where my husband worked and with his passing I have spent the last couple months at the office helping complete work in progress and close the business. It has been an overwhelming task that didn't leave time for me to run my shop as usual.

Thank you to all my friends who have sent messages asking about me. I sure have missed everyone. Soon I will be back tweeting, blogging and posting on a regular schedule. After Labor Day I will have more time to list new items and stock up the shops in preparation for the Holiday Season. Be on the look out for wonderful winter coats, sweaters and party dresses. Metallic gold dots are screen printed on the black fabric of this disco vintage 1970s art nouveau style purse. Handbag has an antiqued gold metal frame of flowers, leaves and lions with a chain handle that loops through each side. It has a soft slightly padded body with just a little stiffening between the layers. Kiss closure.
