Sacrament Of Holy Baptism

We offer Baptism four times a year at Trinity. The dates for 2010 include Saturday, April 3rd (Easter Vigil at 7pm), Sunday May 23rd (Pentecost) and Sunday, November 7th (All Saints Sunday).

Trinity Women's Book Club: Our next meeting is Monday, Jan. 25 at 7:00 PM in the Parlor at which time we'll discuss the book Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay. In this mesmerizing story, a tragic past unfolds, the present is torn apart, and the future irrevocably altered. The story starts in Paris, July 1942 and ends 60 years later as the story of a journalist intertwines with that of a 10-year old girl.

Icon Workshop At Trinity

Kay Sevick will be offering another icon workshop beginning the first week of Lent. This workshop will cover the basics of the theology of iconography, the spiritual discipline of prayer while painting an icon, and the techniques for the completion of an icon. Students will be painting an icon of the Archangel Michael. Dates: February 18-23 (daily) 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (Sunday will be 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Place: Trinity Episcopal Church Narthex. Cost: $350 (Deposit of $175 made out to Kay Sevick is due by February 2).

Confirmation Classes For Youth

Confirmation is a sacrament of the Church. In the prayer book it says: "...it is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ and receive strength from the Holy Spirit." Classes will begin Thursday, February 18 for students who are interested in receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. Youth must be in the 8th grade or older. Classes will be from 6:00-7:30 in the Loft of the Atrium. They will run for four weeks and Bishop High will confirm students at the 9:00 service on March 14.
