Thinking of NaNo, though, reminds me that I need to make sure I save the file itself in a few places. Definitely going to be e-mailing it to myself on the tower. And saving it on the external. Checking out some of the Black Friday deals. I heard one included a nice 1 TB hard drive. Yeah, we could use that, .

Now that I’ve blogged, maybe I should do my NaNo writing, . Today’s goal is 5K. I can do that! That’s just over 1000 words. 1019 to be exact.

And now I’m dealing with a kid pitching a fit because I’m not jumping up to feed him. He’s screeching “I wanna be quiet” which makes no sense at all to me. Anyone want to adopt him? He’s house-trained!

Ugh! Ears are all foggy and throat is all scratchy. Chest is tight, and nose is sore.
Welcome to the flu, correct?

Flu Symptoms:
Fever (usually high): Don’t know the exact temp but I was freezing and it was 70 degrees inside the apartment, under blankets. That, and my skin was so hot I felt like I had sunburn.
Headache: If I don’t move my head, it doesn’t hurt.
Muscle aches: oh yeah, definitely!
Chills: Cold in 70 degree apartment plus blankets? Yeah!
Extreme tiredness: 15 hours of sleep anyone?
Dry cough: Dry unless I’m in the shower
Runny nose may also occur but is more common in children than adults: Its not a gush, but it’s definitely dripping.
Stomach symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, may also occur but are more common in children than adults: Let’s just say the IBS is going “Hey, I’m here, still“, or feels like it is.

And, NO, I don’t think it’s swine flu! If it is, damn, I’ll take it over the “real” flu because yesterday was hell, but I’m feeling a lot better today. We’ll see, I guess.

I haven’t seen that half of my family since 2000. May 26, 2000 to be exact. I miss them. I miss my family. I miss my Aunt Anne who took me to the Nutcracker for the first time. Who got me my first Nutcracker figuring and started that obsession (which Josh and Julie encourage, ).

I miss my Aunt Barb who always made me laugh. I miss my cousin, Matt, who was just a few months older than Daniel, but seemed so much older. I miss Tim and Kaelyn, Barb’s other two children, who was always a cut-up and such a sweetie.

I feel so bad about not keeping in contact with them, but the DNA Donor screwed me up, badly. She and her husband screwed with my head so badly. I’m done with letting them do that. When I go back to Indiana this summer, I’m looking them up. I want, and need, them to meet my babies. I want to meet theirs!

I’m sitting here, in the dark, listening to some Linkin Park, and crying. Linkin Park doesn’t make me cry, for the most part. That’s how hard I’m thinking on this. I feel like a chunk of my soul and heart is missing by not having that side of my family with me.

Now, to see if a reconnection is possible.
