Here we go then! All the sixteen registered teams have a round 1 game listed below, if you can't make the date allocated, let us know ASAP as there may be some initial flexibility before things get 'locked down'

If, for any reason, you can't play after all, please let us know so that one of the reserve teams get a chance.

This is a knock-out tournament, so if you lose the first game that's it! If you plan to win your first game, make sure you add the next game to your diary now so it's free. These Quarter final dates are shown below.

All Games in round 1 begin on Thursday evenings at 7pm sharp. If you aren't there at 7pm the opposing team wins by default.

Sarah Glover, an MA student at the Institute of Education, and a local resident, is collecting memories, stories, poetry and songs about the park to create a community audio trail. So if you work in or visit the park, this means you and Sarah would love to hear from you!

TORCH RELAY COMES TO CRYSTAL PALACE TODAY!

Even we aren't completely bored with the *lymp*c games just yet!

If you want to see this little bit of history happening locally, the torch will be in Crystal Palace Park at approximately 10.30am and will travel through the park before being carried down from the Paxton Bust into athletics stadium at around 10.45am for a tour around the track.

The West Stand of the stadium will be open to the public (that's us) from about 10am. Access is via Gate K, adjacent to the main public sports centre car park.

Places are free but limited and will be on a first come first served basis. Avenue Car Park will be closed and will reopen once the Torch Relay has left.

The torch is expected to make it's may down Church Road Road towards Croydon at around 11.20am. Details are subject to change, so keep your eye on local news and don’t forget there will be rolling roadblocks.
Crystal Palace resident Dafydd Farr-Jones, tireless campaigner for charity Beating Bowel Cancer,is one of the day’s torchbearers but unfortunately the powers that be have decided that we all want to traipse to the Purley Way Pets-at-home to cheer him on instead of letting him carry it in Crystal Palace. However, the good news is that if you want to support Dafydd and even hold the torch itself you can come along to the Alma Pub in Church Road at 3pm where he will be having a little celebration.

Huge big thanks to Noreen and all her elves that made it happen. And thanks especially to Thor, the thundergod, for staying to watch the football in Ukraine instead of visiting SE19.
