Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Protect the Boss to hit the Philippines...

Remember this line, “It seems that the local televisions are taking a liking to the Red Ocean Family…”, year 2011, when local cable channel, Cinema One aired “Heaven’s Postman”? Take it to heart and keep it burning inside, because it just turned from real to REAL. If you haven’t checked your local channel Facebook pages yet, or checked the upcoming Koreanovelas to be aired on Philippine televisions, then here’s what’s in store for us this 2012.

After “Scent of a Woman”, which featured a special appearance of member Kim Junsu, ABS-CBN, one of the major television networks in the country, just officially confirmed the long-awaited airing of two Korean dramas featuring two other members, Park Yoochun and Kim Jaejoong.

On the 11^th of January, ABS-CBN shared on its Facebook page a video compilation of the trailers of its upcoming Korean dramas for 2012, which included Park Yoochun’s acting debut drama, "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" (or Sungkyunkwan & Scandal) and Kim Jaejoong’s first Korean drama, “Protect the Boss”. The two members both played main roles for each drama, which established their careers as “idols turned actors or acting-dols”. Even before 2012 came, there were already talks of both dramas possibly airing in the Philippines, but was only confirmed earlier this week.

Filipino Cassies stormed ABS-CBN’s page, as well as Cassiopeia Philippines’ page, due to extreme excitement and delight. There were comments on the video the said network shared, such as, “I’m more excited [sic] on Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Protect the Boss!!! Yoochun and Jaejoong!!!!! Sana Kapamilyanovelas (Official) will bring JYJ here in the Philippines… ” and “Wag nyo [sic] pong palitan ang OST ng Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Protect the Boss po ha? Please po!”. While on CassPh page, there were comments such as, “at last” and “May Yoochun na, may Jaejoong pa!"

In the period drama, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Park Yoochun played Lee Seon Joon, the highly majestic and dignified scholar who falls in love with Kim Yeon Hee (Park Min Young’s character), who at first he thought to be male. He learns real life lessons about the society, while learning about himself as well. While in Protect the Boss, Kim Jaejoong played Cha Mu Won, destined to be rivals with cousin and lead character Cha Ji Heon (played by veteran actor Jisung). Mu Won is known to be the “Prince of the Financial World” due to his unparalleled skills in managing conglomerates, but later learns that there is more fun in life though having loved ones beside you than fighting for positions. The dramas made a huge wave in South Korea and reaped awards for both Yoochun and Jaejoong, as well as the directors and the drama itself, namely, “Newcomer Awards” for both members on their respective dramas, “Popularity Awards” for Yoochun and “Best New Director” for SKKS director, Kim Won Suk.

Other dramas included in the line-up are “City Hunter”, “Dream High”, “Can’t Lose”, “Sunny Happiness”, “Hayate the Combat Butler”, “Absolute Boyfriend”, “A Promise of 1000 Days”, “Glory Jane”, “Thorn Birds”, “Skip Beat”, “Sunshine Girl” and “Love Rain”.

JAEJOONG to HOLD fan meeting in TURKEY!!

Fans in Turkey must be excited since the Korean Embassy in Ankara confirmed that JYJ’s Jaejoong will be visiting Turkey on February 5.

The reason for Jaejoong’s visit is that the Korean Embassy in Ankara will hold a Korean cultural event. The event will have the presence of the Honorable President of South Korea, Lee Myung Bak. Also, after the event is over, Jaejoong will hold a fan meeting.

The embassy made available 500 tickets only and fans interested in the event had to simply send an email with their personal information and a question they would like to ask Jaejoong. The list of 500 confirmed fans filled just within an hour.

The event will take place at the Ankara University Faculty of Language and History, Farabi Hall on February 5, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.

this is a letter to JYJ3 readers, just like to share it to everyone...

Dear JYJ3 Readers,
As u all know Jaejoong is coming to Turkey. This news is also new for us, thats why we couldnt inform u as we wanted. We have 1 week to organize stuff and we will do our best to make u all proud. As u know by now we only have 500 seats. We told the ambassador that we wanted a big place if JYJ or a member of JYJ would come. But as u all can see they didnt really listened to us. They now saw how popular JYJ and Jaejoong are in Turkey, but this wont change the number of the seats. As u can imagen there are no seats available anymore. This also means that we as JYJTurkey can’t help International fans for seats. We are truly sorry for this, but also the Turkish fandom who where not online yesterday cant join the event. As u all know 500 seats for our fandom is just to little. All seats where taken after 2 hours of the anouncement. We are sorry for this.
Now what is this event about?This is a cultural event. No fan meeting. This is a cultural event that Jaejoong is going to attend. We don’t know more details about the organization on this moment. We only know they asked JYJ, and Jaejoong is the only one who could come. And we are really thankful for this.
Are there any projects?We as JYJTurkey are known with our projects, so yes we will have projects. Not as big as we wish to do, but we will do our best to make Jaejoong smile ^^ We will make sure to tell and show a lot of things to him that we international fans talked about so JJ be ready XD

O: The hottest topic of the entertainment industry these days is the report made on the rumor regarding TVXQ’s reunion.

S: That’s right, what’s it all about?

O: A Japanese media report stated that JYJ and TVXQ are planning a live concert together to commemorate a reunion. And they said that Avex, not SM and JYJ, but Avex is the one in charge of it. Do you think there’s a possibility of this happening, Shin Dong?

S: Are you asking me?

O: Yes.

S: I think there is a possibility. The possibilities are endless. Because it’s not like there’s a 0% chance of this happening. Even if the chances (of it happening) are 1%, that still means that there’s a possibility that it could happen.

To be honest, I only found out about this after I read the news article. I’ve never heard anything about this before from our company. I’m friends with Yunho and Changmin’s a close dongsaeng of mine, but I haven’t heard anything about this from them, for now at least.

O: Would you like them to (reunite)?

S: Personally, I’d like them to reunite. Since TVXQ is a group that started out with five members from the beginning. Though JYJ and TVXQ are both doing very well right now, I believe that no one can beat the power that they have when the five of them come together. That power is so great so it would be nice if they could just once…

This news came from Japan. (Korean) Fans could end up feeling disappointed if they (the five members) were getting back together just for a Japanese concert. So I think it would be nice if they could perform together in Korea, as friends or for other possible reasons.

S: How could I? How could I be the one to give SM’s official statement on the issue? This is just the official statement of Shin Dong.

Jung Yoo Mi and Lee Tae Sung Join Park Yoo Chun and Han Ji Min for "Rooftop Prince" ...

The casting for the new SBS drama "Rooftop Prince" is finalized with JYJ's Park Yoo Chun, Han Ji Min, Lee Tae Sung and Jung Yoo Mi.

"Rooftop Prince" is a historical/fusion/contemporary drama about a crown prince (Park Yoo Chun) traveling ahead 300 years along with his servants to meet his lost crown princess (Park Ji Min). The concept is said to be similar to "Thousand Years of Love," which aired in 2003 and starred So Ji Sup and Sung Yuri.

Currently, the female lead Han Ji Min is finishing up the JTBC drama, "Padam Padam." She will be taking a short break before starting the filming for "Rooftop Prince." Park Yoo Chun will be taking on the challenge for this drama after a successful run with "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" in 2010 and "Miss Ripley" in 2011.

The supporting male lead, Lee Tae Sung is currently playing Lee Bo Young's lover in MBC's "Hooray For Love" and is receiving a lot of love. Jung Yoo Mi received a lot of love for her role in "A Thousand Days' Promise" as well.

"Rooftop Prince" will be airing on March 14, after "Take Care Of Us Captain" ends.

‘Cosmopolitan’ reveals a star-studded pictorial with Eugene, Yunho, & more

The February edition of ‘Cosmopolitan‘ magazine delivered a pictorial with a simple theme — the glamorous life of a star.

S.E.S.‘s Eugene and TVXQ‘s Yunho were joined by actors Lee Yeon Hee, Han Hyo Joo, Ji Jin Hee, and Kim Gyuri for the photoshoot and interviews.

Eugene’s cuts were comprised of elegant headshots that showed off her everlasting beauty. In one of her shots, she’s seen dabbing on some lipstick.

Eugene explained that “During my S.E.S days, we only had one makeup artist. I had to do my own makeup a lot of the time, so my personal skills started building up.”

Eugene was able to write two beauty books with the skills she’s cultivated.

Yunho and Lee Yeon Hee took a sexy couple shoot together. Both were dressed in sophisticated outfits, creating the image of the perfect Hollywood couple.

Meanwhile, Han Hyo Joo (who took the cover of this edition) was styled as a glamorous actress, enjoying her free time in between shows.

As for Kim Gyuri, she displayed a sexy, confident image. During her interview she stated, “I was able to love myself from the love of others. I’m really glad I became an actress.”

Actor Ji Jin Hee, who took on a “dandy guy” concept for the shoot, revealed that he wants to live the life of a gentleman. “I want to aim for that nice and well-mannered image, but living like that is not that easy, which is why I want to challenge myself. ”

Hollywood star Kat Graham of the popular TV series, ‘Vampire Diaries’, recently confessed her love for 2NE1′s music through a Dutch magazine.

During an interview with a magazine from the Netherlands, Kat was asked the question, “What are the songs you listen to in order to have a great night?” She replied, “I love the Korean girl group 2NE1. If I were to be having a great time, then it would have definitely begun with their songs.”

A friendly conversation that took place between JYJ‘s Park Yoochun and veteran actress Choi Myung Gil drew smiles from netizens everywhere.

The actress shared the photo above and tweeted the singer saying, “Yoochun~ ‘Fighting’ on your new project, ‘Attic Prince‘! And thanks for the delicious gift!”

Yoochun and Choi Myung Gil played the roles of mother and son in their previous drama, MBC‘s ‘Miss Ripley‘, that came to a close last May.

Yoochun responded to her tweet with, “Mother~ thank you, always. I should be coming to see you over Lunar New Year’s to ‘saebae’, but I hope you have a wonderful holiday regardless.”

Tohoshinki’s nation-wide tour began on 18 Jan at the Yokohama Arena. They personally announced the details of their long-awaited new single to the fans at the concert venue.

The new song, 「STILL」 is a mid-tempo song with a poignant melody, and matches this season (winter) which is full of first meetings and separations. It will be released on 14 March. As the date of release is White Day, (the single) can be said to be Tohoshinki’s best (White Day) present to the fans.

Also, the song 「One More Thing」, which is also included in this single, has been chosen as the theme song for 『L et M』, the BeeTV drama through which female actress Erika Sawajiri will be making a return with after a 4 year absence.

Lee Seung Gi vs Park Yoochun, Two Similar “Prince” Roles To Face Off In March

Lee Seung Gi and Park Yoochun, who are both singer cum actors, will be facing off directly in Wednesday-Thursday dramas in March.

Lee Seung Gi will be appearing in the MBC Wednesday-Thursday drama “The King” together with Ha Ji-Won, a story about a fictitious monarchy that rules South Korea, and a satirical love story that unfolds between the “South Korean Prince” Lee Jae-ha and the North Korean special forces’ “Legendary Female Trainer” Kim Hang-ah.

On the other side, Park Yoochun will be working with Han Jimin, as the male lead for the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama “Attic Prince.” This drama is about the crown prince of the chosun dynasty Lee Gak, who loses his beloved princess then travels with his consorts 300 years into the future to the modern day Seoul, to continue his unrealised romance from the past,s a fantasy-romantic comedy.

Park Yoochun, who is playing the crown prince is once again playing a role in a period drama after his debut project “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” which received a lot of love. Since the crown prince moves from the past to modern times, you will naturally be able to see his modern-day charm in this drama as well. This drama will show many comical moments of how the crown prince tries to adapt to the modern day, and develop a different type of time-travel romance.

“The King” will be broadcast after “The moon that embraces the sun”, while “Attic Prince” will play after “Please take care of us, Captain.” Lee Seung Gi and Park Yoochun, who are both playing “princes” will be facing off directly in these two broadcast stations’ Wednesday-Thursday drama slots.

Whether Lee Seung Gi or Park Yoochun will triumph in the early part of Spring (in March), is something worth looking out for.

JYJ’s Kim Junsu revealed a cute selca of himself holding a stuffed toy cat.

On the afternoon of the 20th, Jaejoong posted “Our Junjju (Junsu)” along with a photo.

In the photo, Junsu is hugging a stuffed toy cat head as large as his own body, with his head slightly tilted, and reporting his recent condition with a cute smile.

Seeing the photos, netizens commented, “Who is the cat? (He) really resembles the stuffed toy”, “Cute. Black cat, white cat.”, “What (is he) doing with Jaejoong oppa? I’m curious.”, among other responses.

On another note, the musical “Elisabeth”, which Junsu is participating in, is scheduled to open on 8 Feb.
