Coffee beans are grown all over the world.  It is the location and climate that gives each bean its unique flavor.

Despite its foreign flair, the word ”latte” was created during the 1980s in the United States.

Coffee is the second most valuable world commodity, second only to oil.

Kopi Luak is the world’s most expensive coffee, originating in Indonesia.  (If you’ve seen The Bucket List, you know this bean is produced through a very rare process!)  Kopi Luak costs roughly $700 for one kilogram.

There are over 500 million people involved in the coffee business, and 125 million of those depend on it for their livelihood.

At The Ten Cup, as we research roasters to partner with, we are keeping in mind those who depend on coffee for their very lives.  Our heart is to give not only to our own community, but to be mindful of our responsibility as global citizens.
