Twins First School Project..with a bit of craft love ♥

Peace Beloveds,
So the girls had their first project in school(first grade). It was on the seasons. They had complete creative autonomy to do whatever they wanted to illustrate the four seasons. Now the girls are twins and they are still in the phase where the do many things alike. This was also the case with their projects. They were different but the same so since they were kinda crafty I decided to take a picture of it and share it with you. Now what we did was simple and could be used as an afternoon craft or a homeschooling lesson(with a bit more detail depending on age). Drumroll please......

Their teachers both placed their projects up for display in the hallway. The girls were so very proud ♥. We were rushed but the project did get done. The next time though we will do better, we completed their projects within a total of 2 hours due to my work schedule, their bed times, and the project due date. In the end they had fun making it so I am pleased. In the meantime... stay creatively beautiful♥

Camera Love

Let me just say that I LOVE...LOVE...LOVE...LOVE...LOVE my new camera!! I knew I wanted to be able to take better quality photos and this baby does just that. So coming here soon everything will begin slipping into place a little as this is of coarse my will. I am still as most mothers even this late in the game, learning to balance life with a job, three children, a business, school (in 2 weeks) and community service. I will say now however, the new camera does provide that extra somethin somethin to motivate me to take pictures soon rather than later lol. Even my son who is too cool for pictures wanted to get in some shots...I know.. I was like WOW...I think people may have begun to think that I only had a set of twins, lol. Either way just wanted to share a day in the life of me. Also other sections have been updated also, so be sure to check them out. Stay creating!!

Peace and Light family,
Although I have not posted to the home page in a bit, I had to drop a quick note to say I was thinking of you all. I have updated other sections but you have to check those sections out. Since my last post life is still a bit challenging being a single mom of three, working a full-time job, and making the time to work for myself with my own business. I think though this is the struggle of all moms though. My current goal is to find the time to simply create more. In a bit... meaning once I get my new camera I will be retaking photos of all of my inventory and of coarse all new creations as well. So I look forward to getting the ball on the road and continuing to create. Goodnight All and have a creatively beautiful day tomorrow.

Whats Happening Now

Peace and Blessings,

As you can see several changes have been made to the site. I must say I thank you for your patience as I fine tune the content on this site. I have added recipes,community, and a family life section. I look forward to the day and time that I will be all caught up with this site :-).

Now for the bigger news:

I had a determined idea to do a canned food drive in each of the cities in the Hampton Roads area. This area includes 7 cities. So I am connecting with other business owners in urban areas so that we may collectively address to the best of our abilities several of the issues that plague our communities. I have been blessed enough to be able to link with individuals of like minds so that this endeavor may be successful. With their help and support we are looking to donate as much as we can to local area shelters. First city up is Norfolk VA., and to date we have collected over 16 donation bags full of clothes and are expecting at least 10 more bags prior to the end of next week. Needless to say I am very happy with all the support. I will keep you updated from here in out with these and other similar endeavors under the community section. Much appreciation and love.

So the last time I blogged we saw my craft fail as I was struggling and forcing creativity. Welp, guess who's back on the creativity kick tonight... that's right, your truly. I decided to go back to my affirmation card idea after I finished up an order on several cards. I must say everyone, I like the results.

My two cents for anyone creating anything: Keep going and keep doing until you cant do it anymore. I plan to ride my creativity train until the wheels fall of and heck you will probably see me pushing the dang thing then,lol. So in honor of keeping it real might I say: Perseverance is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL thing. Goodnight Family

Peace and Blessings Beloveds,

So today I had it in my mind that I wanted to do affirmations and make them into something creative. Now granted I have been online almost all day searching for any type of visual inspiration and oddly enough I came up short. Needless to say, I decided that my creative juices just weren't flowing enough and that I needed to KISS {Keep It Simple Sweetie}, and so I did. I created these quick little affirmation tags. Mind you, these took me forever. I cannot begin to even describe the experience. I will however be doing another version as a box set for a giveaway and to add them the Power of Refinement lineup {this is after my creative spark sets fires again}. Here are a couple of pics of my attempt at being creative today

I have a few final pictures from our little can re-purposing adventure. The children have not made theirs yet but lets just say that they got creative! I think I am going to make a tin can luminary with the next one, but I am not totally sure... Peace Family,

I will that everyone's mothers day was amazing!! I spent my mothers day cleaning pretty much the entire day. I kept seeing things that were put off that needed to be done. Now I know most people see mothers day as a day to relax, you know kind of a day off so to speak. In my world those days don't really seem to exist. What did exist in the quiet after the storm of cleaning, bathing children, doing hair, cooking dinner, and then catching a movie was.....peace. The feeling that we all get when we can just relax in a clean and organized home, which family for me is priceless.

On the business side all of my mothers day cards were sold. Yay!! Some were sold so quickly I didn't get a chance to take pictures of them :-( however I did want to share the cards that I did make for my mother and auntie's

You know one thing that I think is so ridiculous about mothers day is that we "celebrate" it one day a year, this also goes for fathers day as well. Mothers and Fathers alike are there through the thick and the thin dealing with all the in's and out's of our everyday lives. This is something that is so precious that it should be celebrated and appreciated everyday. With that being said I SALUTE all mothers and fathers alike for your love,caring,compassion,grace,beauty,resourcefulness,sleepless nights,and willingness to instill in your children a living legacy. Much love and respect!!

So the theme in my household this week is re-purposing. Each time we have a theme we try to focus on one thing in particular a little more. Needless to say we chose **Cans**!! There are 10 cans of different sizes. I will be posting throughout the week all the additional uses we found for our cans. First up I changed a baked beans can into a knitting needle storage container. Here are some pics:

The kids have done their designs and will be putting theirs on the cans within the next couple of days and I will post those up as soon as their finished. We had so much fun re-purposing these cans!!

Peace Family,

I have been away from blogging for awhile now. Life has definitely bought many changes my way. The one thing however that has remained clear to me is the need to appreciate the simple little everyday things. I am steadily amazed by a ladybug on a leaf, awed by the beauty of a flower and inspired by the mere sound of my children. There are times when I sit and become overwhelmed with a feeling of joy and appreciation for the blessing of being able to simply create. Any creative and artistic talent is a true blessing and the ability to share that talent with others who value it, is even more special. We often get so caught up in the day to day that we seldom stop for a minute and take it all in. We all have talents that enrich our lives and the lives of those around us if we let it. So for today allow your talents to overflow and become blessings to those around you!!

Ok, now I know the title may have thrown you off a bit :o), but this is my latest customer order.Personally I am an earth tone kinda gal so I love this Tam and want one for myself. (If only I didn't cut my hair right *sigh* ...gotta read my personal blog for that one though). Now the scarf I so love, its nice and warm you know it gives you that fuzzy feeling. Peace!! Again, bare with me as I am sending this from my phone,while relaxing in my kitchen.I just made these and I'm very happy with the end result.They will be on our website within the next couple of days.Our 7year old son (Cheif Exectutive Advertising Consultant)named them Firefly and Tha Blues....You know our babies help out right.We did a video today but ladies my wrap was messed up in the first one and then I made some as we say not so cute faces in the other two so you know that they will not make it to the world wide web ;o) I know all my fellow ladies understand!!!
