New month, new kit and a new challenge!

June has arrived! For those of us in the northern hemisphere that means (hopefully) warm weather and fun in the sun! I do live in the beautiful Pacific North West where the saying goes "Summer doesn't start here until July 5th." But we have had a few days that were quite warm already!

For me, it is a busy month. We will be celebrating Tanner's 21st birthday on the 6th! (Where has the time gone?!) The 6th of June was also my father's birthday and Tanner was born on his 50th so it makes it even more special! One of my dear friends and coworker's birthday is June 6th also! (Geesh, that is a popular day!) Then on June 10th, my delightful nephew that just graduated high school, Troy, is celebrating his birthday. June 11th would have been my Daddy's 44th wedding anniversary. Then there is Father's Day and another fabulous friend and coworker's birthday is June 18th, And last but not least, my darling nephew, Clayton, will be celebrating his birthday!

As a special request for a kit that has a bird and an owl and in lovely shades of yellows and greens, I created a Tweet & a Hoot. It is available as a full kit and also separately for your convenience as individual sets: a Tweet & a Hoot – the Elements and a Tweet & a Hoot– the Papers. I hope that you like it!

Whew! Where did March go?

I have been crazy busy around here. Let me just give a few of the highlights; the fuel pump went out on my truck (yuk!), had to get new tires for my truck (ouch!), we are having to demolish and remodel our main bathroom (down to the studs) in our house, got a new client at work and Tanner had shoulder surgery. Oh and of course I have been trying to re-package some of my scrap kits to get them into the store at Plain Digital Wrapper…it was a crazy month!

Here’s to hoping that April is a little less dramatic and a lot more fun! If you’re up for some fun, come join me for some digital scrap challenges at PDW! I am hosting 2 and sponsoring 1!

It's been a rough week for us here. Last Friday, we had to put one of our dogs down. Miss Daisy was very sick and nothing more could be done for her to keep her comfortable and for her to be able to lead a happy life. I really had no idea how much heart ache that would cause us all, including her brother, Jack, who is clearly still morning her loss, as we all are. We keep getting asked when we are going to get another dog. Sometimes, when I hear that question, it makes me sad and other times, it makes me angry. It's not like we can just go out and replace Daisy. There will never be one just like her. She was our fur baby, just like one of our kids. We are missing her something terrible! I just wish some people would just think before they speak! I wouldn't ask someone that had a parent or child pass away, if they were getting another one! (Just saying.)

Rest in peace Miss Daisy Madeline Braveheart.

Well, onto some other news before I soak my keyboard here!
