Western Capital Multimedia Announces Multi Million Dollar Agreement with Los Angeles Based A&E Television to Feature Harry Blausey Prison Rights Story

NEW YORK- The CEO and President of Western Capital Multimedia and Investigative Journalist, Robert Paisola, has just announced a new joint venture with the Arts and Entertainment Network of Los Angeles, California to complete a two hour "miniseries" on the Harry Blausey Case of Newark Ohio, Licking County.

"The Script is being written as we speak" , said Paisola, who would not comment on the financial arrangements other than to say that "Harry Blausey will be very satisfied with the outcome and the nationwide justice that his story produces for the American Public" Paisola Continued

Paisola expressed great happiness that A&E has agreed to use the actual names of all of the people involved at the Court, Prison, Victim and Media Levels and hopes to create a "chilling effect" on what can seemingly happen in a small town, that takes the nation by storm. He hopes to clearely set the bar for inmate rights around the world.

Blausey has been attacked multiple times while in custody, has been the victim of a Prison Guard Revolt and is now preparing a Federal Civil Rights Case in US District Court. A&E was able to get interviews with actual staff members who were involved but no longer work for the State of Ohio, who's words are nothing less than terroristic. "We were just following instructions from someone very high up, sir" said one staffer, when confronted about Blausey's Continued Abuse. "That started the tidal wave of correctional staff and medical staff to open the previously closed doors, under a new administration, to openly discuss this matter"
Ohio Congressman John Boehner's office expressed "Deep Concern" for the way in which this case has been handled.

The series will have a 2.1 Million Dollar budget and will be shot on Location in Ohio, New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Las Vegas

Partial funding is being underwritten by The Robert Paisola Foundation, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Spy Glass Pictures, International Distribution will be maintained by The Robert Paisola Foundation.

Blausey is in the process of filing a 100 Million Dollar Lawsuit in Federal Court.

NEWARK OHIO -- A Newark man convicted of running a mortgage-fraud scheme wants a judge to release him from prison after serving less than half of his four-and-a-half-year sentence.

Harry Blausey, 69, claimed he would negotiate with victims' mortgage companies to avoid defaulting on their home debts. He then rented out the properties -- sometimes to the homeowner -- but did not successfully arrange short sales. He was convicted of 26 felony counts after a weeklong trial.

Licking County Common Pleas Court Judge Thomas Marcelain denied a request Blausey made shortly after his conviction to be placed in a state program that would have allowed him early release. Marcelain denied another request for judicial release in February.

In his most recent request, Blausey's attorney, Daniel Arnold, wrote that prison had a profound impact on his client and impressed on him the need to fully comply with the law, according to the motion filed Dec. 3. All but one of the civil lawsuits filed against Blausey have been settled.

Licking County Assistant Prosecutor asked Marcelain to deny Blausey's request, writing that releasing him would demean the seriousness of the crimes and would not adequately punish him, according to court records.

We know that you will do the right thing. You are a great man and this data is essential, as we know that Duke Frost nor Ken Oswalt will take time to get this to you!

It is required that "The Court shall impose a sentence that is sufficient, but not greater than necessary to comply with the purposes set forth in paragraph two." Paragraph two provides these factors "A, to reflect the seriousness of the offense, to promote respect for the law, and to provide just punishment for the offense; B: To afford adequate deterrence to criminal conduct C: To protect the public from further crimes of the Defendant; an D; to provide the defendant with the needed educational training , medical care or other correctional treatment in the most effective manner"

Put another way, it has been mandated that a sentencing court must impose a sentence that is sufficient but no greater than necessary to comply with the sentencing guidelines in this case. This statute clearly recognized a defendants liberty because it is a clear violation of the statute to impose a sentence that is harsher than necessary than to comply with the law. It also recognizes the importance of public safety by requiring that the sentence be sufficient to accomplish the purposes of punishment, deterrence and protection of the public.

As you are aware Blausey is no longer going to practice real estate, Blausey is no longer going to reside in Licking County Ohio, Blausey has been severely beaten in prison, Blausey has proven that he has learned his lesson, even though there are hundreds of hours of tapes that outline correctional staff "Targeting" This has not been fully published, as this is the subject of a Federal Case. Blausey has paid back the victims and we have the final victim on tape stating that "Blausey did nothing wrong" "but I want money" Blausey is now a victim of a serious sentence disparity that only you can rectify. Please do the right thing. Branstool set the guideline, now it is time for Blausey to be given the chance to start anew.

The Supreme Court has also clearly stated that there must no be a disparity in the sentencing process, or the sentencing review process as we are faced with in the Blausey case.

The Finding of Judge Branstool that Defendant Joe McClain had completed a "sentence that is sufficient but no greater than necessary to comply with the sentencing guidelines in this case. This statute recognized a defendants right to liberty because it is a clear violation of the statute to impose a sentence necessary than to comply with the law. The McClain ruling sets the bar for the BLAUSEY Case, as Blausey Has not only made restitution to said victims, but has spent more time in a custodial setting than McCLAIN, causing a very clear sentencing disparity. Have you EVER heard Duke Frost or Licking County Ohio Prosecutor Ken Oswalt recommend release?

Sir, I know this man. I know this family, and I know that you are just.

We would ask this honorable Court to Free Harry Blausey and to look at the nexus between the McClain Case and The Blausey Case. We would ask that this Honorable Court Do the right thing and give Blausey his life back, as the sentence as it stands now is nothing but a sentence to die.

Gary Mohr named Ohio prisons chief

CHILLICOTHE -- A Chillicothe man with decades of experience in the public and private sector has been named director of Ohio's prisons.

Gov.-elect John Kasich announced Gary C. Mohr will head the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Mohr has an extensive career -- 36 years -- in corrections, most recently in a management role for a Tennessee company that was the first to provide privatization options for detention and corrections services.

Mohr will take over for current director Ernie Moore, of Sabina, who was appointed to the position by Gov. Ted Strickland in January 2010. Although from Sabina, Moore had once worked at Chillicothe Correctional Institution and took over for retiring director Terry Collins, of Chillicothe, who had been director since 2006.

Mohr's career in corrections began as a teacher at Marion Correctional Institution in 1974. He then was a liaison officer, classification supervisor and director of staff development and training and assistant chief of personnel until becoming the assistant warden at Chillicothe Correctional Institution in 1984 and later the warden from 1997 to 2000. In between his stints at CCI, Mohr was warden at Ross Correctional Institution from 1986 to 1991, deputy director of the ODRC from 1991 to 1992 and deputy director and superintendent for the Ohio Department of Youth Services from 2002 to 2005.

Mohr also has experience working with the governor's office from the early 1990s when he was director of the governor's Office of Criminal Justice. While director, Mohr chaired the task force on gun violence, chaired the investigation into the Lucasville riot, and initiated funding for several day reporting centers as alternative sentencing options.

In recent years, Mohr was the managing director at Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) and a CEO of his own consulting business, Mohr Correctional Insight. CCA was founded in 1983 and was the first private sector provider of detention and corrections services to federal, state and local governments, according to its Web site.

Former ODRC director Richard Seiter, who served under Gov. Dick Celeste from 1983 to 1988, is CCA's current executive vice president and chief corrections officer, and one CCA board member, Donna Alvarado, currently sits on the Ohio Board of Regents and is vice chair of the governor's Workforce Policy Board.

'Whatever happened to equal treatment under the law? Although I feel that Mr. Blausey should serve his entire sentence, if I was him I would be asking for early release myself. Recently Democrat Judge David Branstool released Joe McClain after only one year of a 5 year sentence. Joe did the same thing that Mr. Blausey did. Joe bilked about 40 people out of $475,000.00 and was found guilty of 25 counts of grand theft. He originally was facing 40 years in prison.

Judge Branstool cited Joe's good behavior and said he learned his lesson during his time in jail as reason to cut his sentence so short. Or maybe it was the college classes that Joe attended at the taxpayers expense. The entire Church of God community was instrumental in his light sentence and early release. It's too bad that Harry wasn't a church member there. I guess it PAYS to be a Christian at the Church of God. Or maybe it PAYS to be a local judge presiding over a case involving a Church of God member. So, Mr. Branstool, what does a judge in Licking Co. cost?

I'm all in favor of forgiveness. but I'm in favor of equitable treatment under the law. I work with a lady whose young son stole and forged a check. He's a good kid that learned his lesson. He served his entire sentence. It's no wonder minorities complain of injustices in the penal system. Here you can steal half a million dollars & destroy peoples lives but if you're a clean-cut white boy and a member of the right church and can find the judges price you can walk away spotless and free. That makes the McClains Christ like, blemish free just like the sacrificial lamb. The only difference is... the lamb died.

Unless the Church of God are hypocrites and the judges are on the take then both groups should come to his defense and release Mr. Blausey early. Anything less would be the equivalent of using the Bible & the United States Constitution as toilet paper to wipe the filth from ones own backside.'

" They were proud of their $21 million sale to Californian Aaron Yashouafar. It might not have been in the best interest in the property or downtown, but it sure as heck was in the best interest of themselves and the seller, who reportedly had mortgaged the property to the hint to fund a disastrous investment in the Catskills.
I was immediately skeptical. That very first day I privately suggested to some downtown acquaintances that the deal might be immediately doomed -that such a high price could only lead to bankruptcy court.
We saw that happen today."

"He had a good public relations firm – Saxum and Renzi Stone – but by 2008 they were suing over unpaid billings."

Ouch. It’s never good when you get sued by your own public relations firm.

Liens and court filings started becoming commonplace, and Yashouafar was simply bewildered when I came around asking questions. In Los Angeles, such matters would be trivial, he explained, and wouldn’t be worth the time of a major newspaper reporter.

Yeah, maybe so. But by saying so, Yashouafar was showing a fundamental misunderstanding of Oklahoma City. This is a big city wired like a small town. And folks were talking. This was news. People care.

More popular tenants joined the exodus, including Italian Express, Becky’s Hallmark and The Buzz. The loss of such popular anchors made the space on the upper floors less valuable to potential corporate tenants.

In real estate the card shop, the coffee shop and Italian restaurant are considered amenities. For Yashouafar, they were just among the long list of folks he felt were due an increase in rent to Class A rates. He had promised to bring the building up to Class A levels, and by golly, the tenants had an obligation to share in the cost of getting to that goal.

Yashouafar had been warned these tenants had been burned by prior owners. They were not going to simply believe promises of a better future ahead – even if the landlord insisted he was different – that he would do what he said.

The tenants wanted to see visible progress. They wanted to see the cracked windows replaced. They wanted to see the restrooms rebuilt – and moved to each floor."

Owners of downtown Oklahoma City's landmark First National Center filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Thursday, just hours before a scheduled receivership hearing in Oklahoma County District Court.

California bankruptcy court documents show First National I and First National II — investment groups led by Milbank Real Estate Chief Executive Officer Aaron Yashouafar — reporting liabilities between $10 million and $50 million.

Still committed

"We are committed to our investment and our promise of supporting the downtown Oklahoma City business community,” Yashouafar said Friday. "Ownership of First National Center is reorganizing under Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Our tenants' leases remain secure and building operations will continue without interruption. This reorganization permits us to address the lenders' issues while continuing to renovate and lease this historic building.”

Yashouafar spent much of the summer battling a foreclosure by Capmark Bank before Oklahoma County District Court Judge Vicki Robertson ruled in favor of Capmark and ordered both sides to agree on a receiver.

The receivership hearing scheduled for Friday morning was canceled. Rob Robertson, attorney for Capmark, could not be reached for comment.

Huge and historic

First National Center spans more than 1 million square feet and includes the 33-story, 79-year-old tower. The First National partnerships led by Yashouafar purchased the property in 2006 for $21 million.

At the time of the purchase, the family-run Milbank Real Estate promised it would not repeat problems experienced with previous owners, who for example failed to fix broken windows.
"We stand by our word,” said Raymond Yashouafar, Milbank's vice president of operations, in a September 2006 interview.

"We have a good reputation where we've already done work. The previous ownership made a lot of promises, and didn't follow through. We don't do that.”

Four years later many of the same cracked windows remain in place. A renovation of the first floor retail arcade has remained unfinished — indeed, stalled for months. Several high-profile tenants chose to leave rather than agree to rent hikes.

Records show the Yashouafars are experiencing difficulties with properties across the country.

The Roosevelt, a historic building in Los Angeles, was placed in bankruptcy by Yashouafar while it was being converted into condominiums. And more than a dozen properties in the Bronx went into bankruptcy as tenants' complaints prompted The Village Voice to list Aaron Yashouafar as one among New York City's top 10 slumlords.

A website was created by tenants at Yashouafar's Sky Las Vegas condominiums earlier this year that posts pictures of broken elevators and flooded residences in the 47-story tower on the Las Vegas Strip. (Referring to THIS SITE AT http://www.SkyLasVegas.info

Dismissed claims

In a July interview with The Oklahoman, Aaron Yashouafar said First National was already a financial success story and he dismissed those who claimed he was a bad steward of the property. "Through the financial resources made available by the owners,” he said, "the management team has been able to raise the occupancy from the low 20 percent range to almost 65 percent in just four years.

"In a building as large as First National Center, this translates to over 400,000 square feet of new leases,” Yashouafar said. "I am not aware of any other building in downtown Oklahoma City experiencing such a transformation.”

DENVER -- A former LDS bishop in Colorado pleaded guilty to cheating at least 67 investors out of more than $20 million.

In a federal courtroom last week, Shawn Merriman, the man behind the Ponzi scheme spanning 14 years, received the maximum sentence of 12 and a half years behind bars and $20.1 million in restitution. He'll also serve three years probation once out of prison.

Since the early 1990s, Merriman told his victims they were getting annual returns of 7 to 20 percent from stock market investments.

However, in 2009, the Aurora man admitted he was spending the money on himself, rather than investing it in the stock market.

Merriman lived in a million dollar home in Aurora where in 2009, federal agents seized his assets including a new motor home, a classic car collection, boats and motorcycles. The U.S. government will now have to auction off those items to try and recover money for Merriman's victims.

Most of his victims were fellow members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, friends of friends, or fellow hobbyists.

"I even count my change at McDonald's because I don't trust any more," Todd McCann, one of Merriman's victims, said.

McCann described how generations of his family lost money investing with Merriman's company, Market Street Advisors, and ended his statement saying, "Shawn, I hope you burn in hell."

Five other victims spoke directly to Judge Marcia Krieger and Merriman during the sentencing hearing detailing how they put trust and confidence in Merriman to make financial decisions for them.

Merriman spoke for himself as well, trying to plead with the judge that his cooperation with authorities should grant him a lighter sentence. He and his attorney argued for a five-year prison term.

"I didn't start my investment company with malicious intent," Merriman said. "Since turning myself in, I did everything I could to maximize the return for my investors."

Merriman has lost his wife, his home, and has been excommunicated from the LDS Church.

"I know saying I'm sorry doesn't make things right," he said. "Each of my investors is a great person who doesn't deserve what I did to them."

This is the story of the South Florida Economy. Dismal, In Despair, In Financial Ruin.

As part of my cross country for Jet Blue and their All You Can Jet Program, I ended up in the "Most Magical Place on Earth", however after only a short 3 hour walk, I quickly began to see a pattern that was not being reported in the national newspapers.

Florida was in a Financial Tornado. What Happened, The Details

As I walked down the main highway that connects Kissimmee and Orlando Florida. Hotels that once thrived, were boarded up. Tourist attractions that once stood tall, had for sale signs everywhere.

It was very obvious that the financial crisis in America isn't over. It's ongoing, it remains unresolved, and it stands in the way of full economic recovery. The cause, at the deepest level, is a breakdown in the rule of law. And it follows that the first step toward prosperity is to restore the rule of law in the financial sector.

First, there was a stand-down of the financial police. The legal framework for this was laid with the repeal of Glass-Steagall in 1999 and the Commodities Futures Modernization Act of 2000. Meanwhile the Basel II process relaxed international bank supervision, especially permitting the use of proprietary models to value complex assets—an open invitation to biased valuations and accounting frauds.

Key acts of de-supervision came under Bush. After 9/11 500 FBI agents assigned to financial fraud were reassigned to counter–terrorism and (what is not understandable) they were never replaced. The Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision appeared at a press conference with a stack of copies of the Code of Federal Regulations and a chainsaw—the message was not subtle. The SEC relaxed limits on leverage for investment banks and abolished the uptick rule limiting short sales to moments following a rise in price. The new order was clear: anything goes.

Second, the response to desupervision was a criminal takeover of the home mortgage industry. Millions of subprime mortgages were made to borrowers with undocumented incomes and bad or non-existent credit records. Appraisers were selected who were willing to inflate the value of the home being sold. This last element was not incidental: surveys showed that practically all appraisers came under pressure to inflate valuations in order to make deals happen. There is no honest reason why a lender would deliberately seek to make an inflated loan.

Mortgages were made with a two-or three-year grace period, with a low, fixed interest rate called a "teaser." These were not real mortgages; they were counterfeits, whose value would collapse when exposed. As with any counterfeit, the profits came early, when the bad paper was first sold. After the grace period, rates would reset, and the lenders knew that the borrowers, who were already stretched by their initial payments, would either refinance or default. If they refinanced, that would mean another mortgage origination fee. And if they defaulted, well ... on to step three.

Third, the counterfeit mortgages were laundered so they would look to investors like the real thing. This was the role of the ratings agencies. The core competence of the raters lay in corporate debt, where they evaluate the record and prospects of large business firms. The value of mortgage bonds depended on the behavior of tens of thousands of individual borrowers, whose individual quality the ratings agencies could never check. So the agencies substituted statistical models for actual inquiry, and turned a blind eye to the fact that the loans were destined to go bad.

Fourth, the laundered goods were taken to market. The investment and commercial banks transformed the bad mortgages into bonds, obtained the AAA ratings, and sold the stinking mess to American pension funds, European banks and anyone else who took the phrase "investment grade" at face value. (Later chumps would include the Federal Reserve.) The European crisis now underway is a direct result, as their banks and investors, stung by losses on American mortgage bonds, are dumping their risky Greek public debt and seeking the safety of U.S. Treasury bills.

When the crisis went public in August 2007, Henry Paulson's Treasury took every step to prevent the final collapse from happening before the 2008 elections, extracting billions from the Federal Housing Authority and from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to relieve the pressure on bank balance sheets. It worked until it didn't. In September 2008 the collapse of Lehman triggered the collapse of American International Group (AIG) and the steps that led to the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) and to the effective nationalization of the commercial paper market, meaning that the Federal Reserve has become the primary short-term funder of major American corporations.

Upon taking office, President Obama had a chance to change course and didn't take it. By seizing the largest problem banks, the government could have achieved clean audits, replaced top management, cured destructive compensation practices, shrunk a bloated industry, and cut the banks' lobbying power and therefore their capacity to obstruct financial reform. The way to write-downs of bad mortgage debt and therefore to financial recovery would have been opened.

None of this happened. Instead the Treasury administered fake "stress tests" and relaxed mark-to-market accounting rules for toxic assets which permitted the banks to defer losses and to continue to carry trash on their books at inflated values. This reassured the banks that they would not be permitted to fail—and so back to bonuses-as-usual they went. The banks survived, and the administration today claims this “proves” they didn’t need to be taken over. But to what end did they survive?

The banks are bigger, more powerful, and moer obstructionist than ever—and largely uninterested in making new commercial, industrial, or residential loans.

Today the former middle class is largely ruined: upside down on its mortgages and unable to add to its debts. With housing prices low and falling, banks are delaying foreclosures because they don't wish to recognize their losses; it is a sick fact that the cash homeowners conserve by non-payment is one source of the anemic recovery so far. But construction remains depressed, state and local budgets, like that in Florida continue in a death-spiral of spending cuts and tax increases, the stimulus will soon end, and exports may soon fall victim to international austerity and the rapidly declining euro.

Meanwhile the deficit hysterics seem determined to block unemployment insurance and aid to states today, and to cut Social Security and Medicare tomorrow.

In this way, the financial sector remains a fatal drag on the capacity for strong growth. And the financial reform bills about to clear Congress will not cure this. The bill in conference has some useful elements but it is neither sufficient nor necessary to clean up frauds, which have always been illegal. Nor will it clean up private balance sheets and permit lending to restart. Still less will it set a new direction for the financial economy going forward.

How Can The Problem Be Fixed?

To restore the rule of law means first a rigorous audit of the banks and of the Federal Reserve. This means investigations—Representative Marcy Kaptur has proposed adding a thousand FBI agents to this task. It means criminal referrals from the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, from the regulators, from Congress, and from the new management of troubled banks as they clean house. It means indictments, prosecutions, convictions, and imprisonments. The model must be the clean-up of the Savings and Loans, less than 20 years ago, when a thousand industry insiders went to prison. Bankers must be made to feel the power of the law in their bones.

How will this help the economy? The first step toward health is realism. We must first stop pretending that bad assets can be made good, that bad loans will someday be repaid, and that bad people can run good banks. Debt crises are resolved when debts are written down and gotten rid of, when the institutions that peddled bad debts are restructured and reformed, and when the people who ran the great scams have been removed. Only then will private credit start to come back, but even then the result of bank reform is more prudent banks, by definition more conservative than what we've had.

So yesterday's borrow-like-there's-no-tomorrow America is done for in any event; there will not be another bank-sponsored private credit boom. The housing crisis (and therefore the middle-class insolvency) won't go away soon. There is no cure for falling housing prices except time and patience; debt relief will at best stabilize the middle class. It follows that the private banks and dealers and borrowing by households are not going to be at the center of the next expansion.

We need to do what the U.S. did during the New Deal, and what France, Japan, Korea, and almost every other successful case of post-crash (or postwar) reconstruction did when necessary. That is, we need to create new, policy-focused financial institutions like the Reconstruction Finance Corporation to take over the role that the banks and capital markets have abandoned. Thus, as part of the reconstruction of the system, we need a national infrastructure bank, an energy-and-environment bank, a new Home Owners Loan Corporation, and a Gulf Coast Reconstruction Authority modeled on the Tennessee Valley Authority. To begin with.

A reconstructed financial system should finance the reconstruction of the country. Public infrastructure. Energy security. Prevention and mitigation of climate change, including the retrofitting of millions of buildings. The refinancing of mortgages or conversion to rentals with “right-to-rent” provisions so that people can stay in their homes at reasonable rates. The cleanup and economic renovation of the Gulf Coast. All of this by loans made at low interest rates and for long terms, and supervised appropriately by real bankers prepared to stay on the job for decades.

The entire host of neglected priorities that we have seen during this short trip around the country, clearly shows that now is the time to deal with the problems we are facing. To hold off and pretend that the problem simply does not exist, as the crowds chant "Yes We Can" is taking America down a path never before seen in the history of mankind.

On June 03, 2010, the case of Al Mustafa v Crane et al will commence in the Superior Court of California - County of San Diego against ANDERSON APPRAISAL SERVICES INC for fraud.

We attempted to contact the President of Anderson Appraisals, Kevin Allin, for comment on this case, however we did not receive a reply before our publication deadline.

We contacted the Plaintiff in this case, and spoke to Mr. Al Mustafa, who stated that " This case is about an appraisal company that was nothing but a criminal enterprise. Governor Strickland, Demand that your people in the Department of Corrections stand accountable and provide Harry Blausey with the healthcare he so badly needs. Make an official order that Harry Blausey be transported and fitted for a Hearing Aid, while you still have State jurisdiction on this matter.
