Muse have just released a trailer of their new album The 2nd Law.
This is really weird trailer, there are some dubstep elements that you can hear.

Muse have been nominated for 3 NME awards this year – Best Live Act, Best British Band and Worst Band.
Matt Bellamy and Dominic Howard have both been nominated for sexiest male, whilst Matt has been nominated for Hero of the Year. Muse fans have been nominated for most dedicated fans of the year!

Back in the Studio for Sixth Album !

The band are back in the recording studio busy working on their sixth album. Those of you on Twitter may have seen Matt’s recent comment about the direction for the new album which is apparently going to be a ‘christian gangsta rap jazz odyssey, with some ambient rebellious dubstep and face melting metal flamenco cowboy psychedelia.’ Sounds interesting!

Watch Muse at Reading on BBC Three

For those of you not at Reading or Leeds Festival this weekend, don’t worry you can watch Muse on BBC Three on Sunday night. Tune in from 10.20pm to watch Muse at Reading playing what promises to be a fantastic set.

BBC Three are broadcasting from the festival throughout the weekend so those of you in the UK won’t miss out and can enjoy the festival from the comfort of your own home!

Nominations are open for the 2011 Q Awards. These awards are decided by you – all the winners are chosen by a public vote. So if you think Muse deserve to win the Best Act In The World Today or maybe Best Live Act or even the Greatest Act of the Last 25 Years award get voting!

Muse ‘Softer’ New Album Next Year

Muse will return with a potentially “softer” album next year, the band have revealed.

Drummer Dominic Howard and bassist Chris Wolstenholme spoke about the plan to NME at this afternoon’s (May 19) Ivor Novello Awards ceremony in London, where they won the International Achievement award.

After revealing that they were planning to put out the follow-up to 2009’s ‘The Resistance’ in 2012 Howard said that the album could mark a shift in style for the band. “Matt [Bellamy, frontman] showed me a few chords recently,” he said. “Who knows, it might be softer rock, but then it’s up to me and Chris to make it heavy again. A heavy rock lullaby! But I’m sure it will move forward in some way.”

Wolstenholme explained that the band had been jamming on the road ahead of sessions later this year. He added: “We’ve got Reading Festival [plus the Leeds Festival, with them set to headline both] in August and maybe a few weeks off after that. So September, October time we’ll get into the studio and start writing and working on the songs.”

Howard concluded: “It takes as long as it takes really, because you have to love it before you can just chuck it out there and into the real world. But definitely next year.”

Muse are planning to play their ‘Origin Of Symmetry’ album in full at the Reading And Leeds Festivals this summer, according to Matt Bellamy.
