Please Touch Museum continues a longtime museum favorite: 9th Annual ABC Games. The month of learning through sporty play will fill the museum’s Rainforest gallery, located next to the Woodside Park Dentzel Carousel, for more than three weeks, June 5-28. Activities for the 9th Annual ABC Games will encourage an interest in sportsmanship, physical fitness and fun.

New this year is a nature-inspired obstacle course that will weave its way through the Rainforest gallery, with a rock climbing wall and a variety of play opportunities that test strength, coordination, and fine and gross motor skills. Children will also be encouraged to create their own flags and have their passports stamped at each activity station.

The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and children age one and over. Natural History Museum Philadelphia - Butterflies exhibit

Did you have a chance to see the permanent exhibit “Butterflies!” in Natural History Museum of Philadelphia? "Butterflies!" features a lush, tropical garden filled with colorful plants and a multitude of exotic butterflies from around the globe. As you walk through the world of these beautiful creatures, knowledgeable Academy staff will be on hand to answer all your questions.
In addition, “Butterflies!” features:

computer stations with interactive games about butterfly habitats, body parts, responses to global warming and general trivia
a chamber of live pupae from which you may see butterflies emerging (if you're there at the right time!)
a live animal kiosk comparing different kinds of metamorphosis in insects and frogs.

The tropical garden in Butterflies! is a pretty big place. There are many places to look for butterflies:

Some will be flying. (These are often the easiest to spot.)
Some will be eating at food stations. (These are good places to get close to the butterflies.)
Some will be resting on plants. (Butterflies usually rest with their wings pointing up so you'll be looking at the undersides of the wings. This side of the wing is often less colorful and may even be camouflaged.)
