Well, the answer is pretty simple. Orange is one of the most vibrant colors there is! Plus, if you ask me I think orange is just the color to use if you're looking to communicate a fun and festive feel. Plus, I'm not alone in my love for this color! Pantone has named this sizzling shade the color of the year! Tangerine Tango is truly a color to be admired! One of the things that I love most about wedding planning is the fact that it enables you to showcase your creativity. This is the sort of color palette that I would love to see used in a late Summer wedding or even Autumn wedding. There's an earthiness to it that is so full of texture and rustic goodness. {My BIG UBER-Exciting NEWS}: It's Gender Reveal Time

Eeeeek! The day has come to make my, uber-exciting BIG announcement! As some of you might recall - my hubby and I are expecting twins! This weekend we had a small family get together which included a sweet little gender reveal of sorts! My mom baked two cakes - each with the appropriate cake color inside. Blue cake would signify a boy and pink would signify a girl. I've been sitting on this secret for quite some time so it was super exciting for me to finally be able to share this with my family and now with all of my sweet readers! A lot of you posted your prediction on my Facebook wall here. And surprisingly so many of you guessed it right!

We're so happy to announce that we're expecting twin girls! With the addition of two girls, we will shortly be a family of 5! It's so hard to believe since when I started this blog I was simply engaged. So much has happened in 3 years! A lot of you mentioned how much fun it would be for me to have two girls...what with all the wedding plans there would be one day to help with! Yep, the idea of that really makes me excited! So there you have it! Did you make the right guess? As you might imagine we're absolutely overjoyed. Today I'll be busy picking out the perfect shade of pink for their nursery! I've always loved this dreamy shade of aqua. And it's surely one of my favorite colors for Spring. What happens when this amazing color is combined with shades of peach, pops of yellow and pinches of blue and orange? Go ahead and see for yourself! Pretty beautiful... am I right?

What's not to love about this absolutely gorgeous blend of color? It's simply swoon worthy if you ask me. Oh, and it just so happens to put me in a Spring break kind of mind frame. What about you? When it comes to color, do you find yourself attracted to bold color palettes that surprise you? You know... these are the sort of colors that make your head turn. You know the ones. These are the sort of colors that make you step back and say ''wow, I would have never even thought to use those colors together, but surprisingly I like it.'' And maybe you take the leap and actually use said ''unique'' palette or maybe you simply admire it from afar. I for one have seen my fair share of peach and green weddings, but have you seen too many bright green and orange weddings? Nope... me either. I think what works with bright, bold palettes like these is when you're able to strike a balance between big bold statements and softer elements. For instance, take this cake design for example. It's a tad on the bold side, but it ties into the overall look for the day and is softened by other elements like this romantic bouquet.
