We've been doing lots of promotion through 'Beautiful Accommodation' so The Old Church calendar is starting to fill up fast.

The latest promotion was at the Sydney Good Food and Wine Show where we ran a competition to give away a stay for up to 12 people at The Old Church. Bookings Up To Christmas

You might want to book now if you're interested in a weekend or weekly booking before Christmas. You can always check availability at www.theoldchurchbyronbay.com

Even the midweek special of $150 per night for 2 people ($25 for each additional person) has meant there's hardly any days when The Old Church is empty!

Get a special 10% discount - Lots of guests are taking the full payment at the time of booking option in order to receive a 10% discount on their booking. This does not apply to discounted midweek bookings.

Christmas and New Year - Xmas is booked out already but.....New Years Eve 2010/2011 is still available although it won't be for much longer. The dates we can offer are Dec 28th - Jan 4th. (7 night minimum)

Exciting New Changes

The Old Church is undergoing more renovations which is always interesting for our regular guests to hear about. By the end of September you will see :

* A new spiral staircase going from the games room to the upstairs studio

* A new fence along the driveway boundary creating greater privacy

* Flyscreen sliding doors in the upstairs bedrooms

* A bathroom in the upstairs studio won't be completed in September but is in the planning phase.

A quick glance of the online bookings calendar suggests that The Old Church is proving very popular for weekend getaways. And the mid-week super special of $150 per night for two people (minimum 2 nights, additional guests cost $25 per person with a total of 12 people allowed) has been great for couples who want the luxury of having the entire church to themselves for a sensational rate.

ANOTHER GREAT SPECIAL

Book a weekend or full week holiday and receive a 10% discount as well as a free case of mixed wines upon arrival at The Old Church. The booking can be for anytime, but payment is required before June 30th. The special offer only applies for new bookings made after the receipt of this newsletter.

We Offer All The Extras - But Book In Advance

We suggest our guests try and book in advance as the Church gets busier every year as we continue to improve the property. If you happen to be a family group, don't forget we offer portacots, babygates at the top and bottom of the main stairs, highchairs and even a play pen if requested. Additional baby gear can be hired if you have lots of small children or plan on coming with a mothers club.

New Innovations at The Old Church

For all those who've stayed at the church previously, there are now iPOD docks in all bedrooms, a new flatscreen TV in lounge, a stereo in the games room as well as the lounge room ...and Austar connections in both the lounge and back studio bedroom.

There are fly screens being installed around the church in the next couple of months and a new spiral staircase ordered that will go from the games room to the upstairs studio (to replace the external stairs). This won't be in place until closer to Xmas. It is all a part of our never-ending improvements, thanks to your feedback.

Harvet Cafe To Add New Wine Bar

For those who've enjoyed the delights of Harvest Cafe...you'll be pleased to know they are designing a fantastic new wine bar in the old bakery section behind the restaurant!

It's been a busy 12 months at 'The Old Church' in the Byron Bay Hinterland. We've now been operating for 8 years and gone through some really big changes - mainly renovations.

Some guests will remember when the church looked very different ! If you're reading this email you've either stayed at the church or enquired about it in the past.

Special Offer Includes New Year's and Blues Festival - Anyone who makes a booking before the end of July and pays for their booking in full will receive a 10% discount. This includes the week of New Years Eve which is still available and next years Blues Festival held over Easter. There's also plenty of availability in January 2010 which is unusual for that time of the year. The availability calendar is generally updated every day so take a look at www.theoldchurchbyronbay.com

The latest renovations at the Church include :

A brand new kitchen which would make any chef happy!
New games room at the back of the property with table tennis, couches, extra food and beer fridge
Back deck off the games room with outdoor dining and BBQ
New bathroom downstairs, replacing small existing bathroom. New vanity and hand basin in upstairs bathroom.
There's also been a full paint job inside and out which took 6 months from start to finish.
The church is no longer that horrible pink !
Another addition is FREE wireless broadband for laptops, i-phones etc. IPOD connection also available for stereo.

Something that may interest the girls - Around 50% of bookings at 'The Old Church' are all women ! There's been everything from mums escaping the kids and husbands for the weekend, bookclubs from the Gold Coast, hens night weekends, girly get-togethers and indulgent weekends that generally involve facials and massages at Gaia Health Retreat 3 minutes from the Church that is owned by Olivia Newton John and her business partners. There is a fantastic range of treatments available and you're allowed to use the spa and pool if you book in for a treatment at Gaia, as well as dine at the restaurant for lunch. Don't rule out the boys entirely as it is also popular with men and couples. I recommend the Hot Rocks massage or Kahuna massage.

Harvest Cafe - About 100 metres from the church is the award winning "Harvest Cafe" where you can eat breakfast or lunch 7 days per week and dinner on Friday/Saturday nights. It's a good idea to book on the weekends or if you have a group of 10-12 - that way you'll get a great table. You can contact Harvest via the links on our website.

We really hope to see you again in 2009 / 2010. The church will continue to improve each year as we proceed with ongoing renovations. If you are planning to return or to book for the first time please be aware that we DO NOT allow any weddings, parties, functions, events or similar at the church due to noise issues, parking and our water treatment system which is designed to cater for a maximum of 12 people. This is an accommodation property only. Food, fun and wine are fine !!!

Think of the church as a great big house with enormous living spaces, plenty of room to spread out, big comfortable couches, fully equipped in every way to have a relaxing, indulgent holiday with your friends or family.
