Yes we know it’s a bit late for summer but never too late for Ice Cream right?

Europe’s first liquid nitrogen ice cream parlor has hit the streets in London’s Camden town.

Well equipped with lab coats and zany goggles, the staff whips, or rather carefully pours, the nitrogen to the custard mixture, creating a cosmic cream for you to enjoy. That gives you the possibility to experience the making of bespoke ice-creams frozen on-site, while the rest of the space is an experimental kitchen dedicated to the development of modern confections.

Yes, we have finally entered the age of The Jetsons!

But it’s easy to imagine both as stomping grounds for Tiffany Tuttle’s latest collection of shoes with unlined, raw leathers creasing into bone-hard, sculpted heels.

“I was looking at dinosaur fossils,” says the LD Tuttle designer of the inspiration behind her fall 2010 collection.

To prove the ease and grace of her heavily wedged designs, she teamed up with photographer Zen Sekizawa to create a video that shows the shoes “in a state of flux, so they are creating and finishing off the line of the body.”

They don’t fit into the streets and city centers where they appear but their strength and power speak of a time when people had seen architecture as a force for civic good. These structures were solid spaces to create a solid and strong world emerging from the gloom of WW2.

These buildings are evidence of a modernism, a time when we didn’t dress up architecture but left it cold and honest for all to see.

Noma has been widely credited with re-inventing Nordic cuisine.

The restaurant was recognized as the third best in the world by the San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurant awards in 2009 and received the unique ‘Chef’s Choice’ award at the same ceremony. It also just pipped the UK’s ‘Fat Duck’ for best restaurant in the world 2010.

Redzepi combines an unrelenting creativity and a remarkable level of craftsmanship with an inimitable and innate knowledge of the produce of his Nordic terroir.
