Well equipped with lab coats and zany goggles, the staff whips, or rather carefully pours, the nitrogen to the custard mixture, creating a cosmic cream for you to enjoy. That gives you the possibility to experience the making of bespoke ice-creams frozen on-site, while the rest of the space is an experimental kitchen dedicated to the development of modern confections.

But it’s easy to imagine both as stomping grounds for Tiffany Tuttle’s latest collection of shoes with unlined, raw leathers creasing into bone-hard, sculpted heels.

“I was looking at dinosaur fossils,” says the LD Tuttle designer of the inspiration behind her fall 2010 collection.

To prove the ease and grace of her heavily wedged designs, she teamed up with photographer Zen Sekizawa to create a video that shows the shoes “in a state of flux, so they are creating and finishing off the line of the body.”

Called ‘The Dressed Chairs’, Kang used leather patches to cover second-hand chairs.

Inspired by traditional crafts and antique raw materials, all the chairs are hand made by the artist and each pieces is entirely unique. Kang wants to make a statement with her chairs against today’s consumer attitude: “I am fighting against this epidemic with needles and threads.”
