First off, we’re excited to have some new songs for you to hear! We’ve recorded a couple of new demo’s with our wonderful friend James Hicken and put them online. You can find them on our myspace and facebook pages. We hope you like what you hear, so let us know what you think. These demos are the first stage in our preparations to record a new album.

We’re soon having what looks to be our final show of the summer this coming Sunday, Aug 9th at the Eton Tavern (710 Danforth Ave). It’s part of the “Taste of the Danforth” festival, so if you’re in Toronto and you like country rock with souvlaki on the side, stop on by. It’s a family event too, 2pm - 6pm, no cover!

And finally, we’ve decided to reduce the cost of our album for the next week, leading up to the show. So if you don’t have a copy of “Of Which I’m The Master”, head on over to CDbaby and order/download it today. Cd’s are $5.99, full album downloads are $3.99.

Considering that I’ve been playing the drums for 15 years, I’m impressed that I passed this…

Good day my friends,

Hope you’re well! Just a quick note to let you know that we’re doing a three-set matinee show this Saturday from 3pm-6pm at our old stompin’ grounds - The Eton House Tavern (710 Danforth, just east of Pape).

We’ve learned a bunch of country covers (and a few rockers) for this show which should be a laugh. So if you’re looking for a nice relaxing Saturday afternoon, come on by if you can!

“It’s been a long time, been a long time”… I really am a slacker when it comes to updates. Sorry about that! The truth of it all is that we took a bit of a break after our last show way back in August to go our separate ways, take some vacations, do other things, but now we’re back!

We recently realized how fast the end of 2008 is approaching and how much we miss seeing you guys…. So to remedy that, we’ve booked a couple of shows and we hope you’ll come out and party with us one last time before the New Year.

This Saturday, Dec 6th, we’ll be stopping by The Silver Dollar to play a show with a great Newfoundland country soul band called Jetset Motel. Opening the show will be a punk-country outfit called Luckyfool who will surely get things heated up in a hurry.
Start time is 11pm. If you can, please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the food bank. For our part, we’ll give you a FREE copy of our cd, Of Which I’m The Master, if you donate to the cause.

On Thursday, Dec 11th, we’ll head down the highway to visit Hamilton. This time we’ll be playing at a new venue called Touché (formerly 33 Hess). If you’re around, stop by, if you have friends there, please spread the word.

And just so you know, we haven’t been doing nothing all this time. In the past few weeks we’ve been rehearsing a lot and writing songs that will hopefully appear on our next record. There isn’t a time frame for that yet, but if all goes well, we may get recording by late spring or early summer.

Finally, with the holiday season fast approaching; please take care of yourselves and each other. Donate to those less fortunate if you can!

Hockey Night In Canada Theme Song Contest

So as many of you already know (at least in Canada), the CBC has lost its rights to the beloved theme song for “Hockey Night In Canada”. As a result they have created a contest to see who can write the next theme. We had a song kicking around that didn’t really have a home so we decided to enter it.
