Human immunodeficiency virus, commonly known as HIV is a retrovirus that leads to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). The immune system of a person suffering from HIV /AIDS gradually starts weakening and deteriorating, finally failing to resist diseases.

‘Insight Subluxation Station’ provides color scans of problems and progress

(ARA) – People under chiropractic care often wonder: “Why do I have to keep coming back if I’m pain free?” or “How do I know I’m getting the proper amount of adjustments?” Thanks to a breakthrough in technology, however, these questions no longer arise for patients in chiropractic offices that are equipped with a new tool known as the Insight Subluxation Station. These patients can now see for themselves, as their care progresses, that they’re getting the proper number of adjustments, and will also be able to better understand why pain-free does not always equate to “problem solved.”

This advance, which offers major advantages for patients and chiropractors alike, provides patients with tangible, objective visual evidence of the problems they sought help for and how their treatment is progressing. The Subluxation Station scans for, detects and provides clear, color-coded scans of the patient’s spinal misalignments (subluxations) and clearly demonstrates their effects on the patient. These are indicators that, because they are located in muscles, nerves and soft tissue, cannot be seen on x-ray.

The purpose of this technology is to improve communication between doctor and patient, and, ultimately, help motivate people to incorporate chiropractic into a wellness lifestyle for the whole family, like eating healthy foods and exercising,” he says.

Insight Subluxation Station uses three safe, pain free and effective tests. It performs the SEMG (surface electromyography) scan to measure the amount of electrical activity in the muscles, thermal scanning to measure skin temperature along the spine, and the digital inclinometer to measure the range of motion of the spine. These three proven technologies are quick and easy to perform, and are uniquely able to show the results in clear, color-coded visual images that are easily understandable by the patient.

Another common question is if we have no pain, how can we know it’s time to see a chiropractor? Says Dr. Gentempo: “In today’s fast-paced environment it is normal that people have physical, chemical and emotional stresses beyond the individual’s ability to remove or even adapt to. As a result, subluxations and nerve disturbance are extremely common. There is abundance medical and scientific evidence that even a small amount of nerve disturbance or pressure can cause altered nerve function. Thus, I can’t overemphasis the importance of regular trips to the chiropractor, even before symptoms appear, to check for spinal subluxations. This is preventive, so that an individual may optimize their potential for good health and at the same time prevent future health challenges before they become severe.”

Spinal subluxations (misalignments) can be present for months, or even years, before a patient experiences any symptoms. Explaining how this is possible Dr. Gentempo uses this analogy: “If the front end of your car is out of alignment, you can still drive. However, in time the misalignment will cause wear and tear on the tires, and eventually a blowout will occur. In the human body, heavy lifting, improper movements, sitting too long or in the wrong kind of chair, or even emotional stresses can result in abnormal positioning of the vertebrae and nerve disturbance.”

To use another analogy, he says: “It’s like too much stress going into an electrical circuit in your house, and as a result the circuit breaker is tripped. Let’s say that the circuit goes to your refrigerator. The food in the refrigerator will now spoil. Most people, and many other health professionals, would see the ‘spoiled food’ in their refrigerator and think that the refrigerator was the problem! They may even try and replace the spoiled food with good food — only to find that this good food will again spoil. The chiropractor, on the other hand, seeks to turn on the power that goes through the refrigerator (the human body) and thus deal with the cause of the problem rather than its end results.”

When symptoms of subluxation of the spine finally occur they can appear as back or neck pain, but also as other seemingly unrelated problems, Dr. Gentempo notes. “There may be decreased immune function and less vitality in general,” he says. Unless the spinal misalignment, or subluxation is corrected, Dr. Gentempo advises, “The body will be unable to properly heal itself and deterioration will progress, until it may be very serious.”

Dr. Christopher Kent, who co-founded the CLA with Dr. Gentempo, is one of the country’s most respected chiropractors, well-known as a researcher and author. I know what I've done is wrong and I'm not even shore if it is my fault but I think I've made my mum really ill. We live alone together and I don't go to school and my mum sometimes gets in a bad mood and sometimes she looses her temper and hits me, and last month she lost her temper real mad and I wanted to get revenge so I have been putting laxative in her wine and tea for the last month or maybe more. She has been in the toilet alot, and she hasn't been able to eat for a while and now she's in bed and she can't get up. I don't want to tell her what I've been doing because she gets really violent, but I think she needs to go to the dr. What shall I do? Please don't tell me off, I know what I've done is bad I just need advice. Thanks

Glutathione Therapy And Parkinson’s Disease

Today, the number of people with Parkinson’s disease is way too high. This disease brings with it discomfort, frustration, and pain. However, Dr. Perlmutter has discovered a new form of treatment, pioneering what is called Glutathione Therapy.

Glutathione therapy was pioneered by Dr. Perlmutter, showing impressive results that have exceeded anything imagined. Keep in mind that having IV Glutathione therapy is not designed to make the symptoms disappear but to slow down the progression of Parkinson’s disease by reducing free radicals.

Longevity…anti Oxidants Glutathione & Resveratrol

Longevity is greatly helped by anti oxidants glutathione and resveratrol. It is hard to believe, but longevity for U.S. residents is far worse that most developed countries in the world. It is even worse than many third world countries where residents do live longer.

For example the U.S. Census reports that we are 42nd in longevity. The World Health Organization’s recent study in 2009 was better. It said that we are 24th in life expectancy worldwide. We should be number one!

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) reported in December of 1994 that medical induced injury was the 3rd largest killer in the USA. It was exceeded only by heart disease and cancer. Another report by JAMA listed prescription drugs as the 4th leading cause of death. Health treatment and misinformation is a huge factor. Drug companies and the food industry are in business for profit, health easily becomes a secondary issue or totally forgotten.

I don’t want to elaborate on the greed and conflict of interest but rather focus on the dynamics of poor health, the cause of shortened lives. Let’s examine some causes, especially for heart disease and cancer. They clearly have a co-relationship to the aging of your body’s cells.

What are factors that increase longevity? Numerous studies show that whole food and fresh vegetables are real assets to health. A well conducted study done at Harvard University found 30% to 70% reduction of certain cancers when 3 to 5 serving of fresh fruits and vegetables were consumed daily.

There are many phytonutrients (plant nutritionals) that are unknown in function but benefit you. Enzymes, flavenoids, polyphenols are known to benefit in studies that are done but many other factors that help are not.

Some known, specifically healthy foods that help are the cruciform vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage & Brussels’s sprouts). Immune fighting ability is enhanced especially with glutathione… which get its needed sulfur from these vegetables. Glutathione is one of the most powerful anti oxidants your body has.

When you are young there is build up, growth and increase of cell function. It is referred to as “anabolic”. With age the breakdown and deterioration of cellular function exceed

s build up. It is called “catabolic”. Why does this occur? Free radical damage, producing oxidation, is the answer. Just as oxidation rusts iron, oxidation “corrupts” your body’s cells.

Free radicals seeking electrons comes from oxidation produced by foreign or toxic chemicals as well as many normal functions of the body. It causes breakdown of cells. Normal biochemistry produces some free radicals but when scavengers and dietary intake of anti-oxidants is deficient, longevity breaks down. Death comes sooner than it should.

Assimilation of whole, raw, healthy food is replaced by packaged foods, excess animal fats, sugar and preserved foods. This means that essential vitamins, enzymes, flavenoids, catalysts and phytonutrients found in whole, unprocessed food is deficient. There are over 3000 enzymes in you, many of them in the raw vegetables and fruit; but many are lost with heat and preservatives. There are over 4000 flavenoids…many of unknown function, but important as anti oxidants.

Supplements that help keep the body from deterioration and aging are vitamins A, E, and C. Other anti-oxidants are CoQ-10, a polyphenol of green tea extract, resveratrol and Omega 3′s.

According to Mark Hyman, M.D., large, regular doses of drugs such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), deplete the important, natural anti oxidant, glutathione. Glutathione is a very powerful anti oxidant that is an immune builder and anti inflammatory agent. Toxins that are not disarmed or eliminated can cause brain dysfunction and sickness. Glutathione is a champion for protection from free radical damage and toxic insults.

Your body needs abundant glutathione to be healthy. Resveratrol and the cruciform vegetables help build good levels of glutathione. Resveratrol, as an antioxidant, furnishes needed electrons. The cruciform vegetables provide organic sulfur compounds that are essential to glutathione.
