I have a young friend that just headed from New Brunswick for European tour that might just turn into a world tour. He has his laptop with him so he can keep family and friends, like us, informed of his journey.

There are many compelling reasons for taking a European tour and one of the most important is the fact that this is an incredible cultural experience. Those who have been on a trip such as this call it the ultimate historical adventure. If you are on a tight budget then you should camp in Europe and this would of course also add to the sense of adventure.

The European continent is well kitted out to provide one with the ultimate camping vacation. There are a wide variety of camp sites in Europe that offer something for everyone. There are the more expensive camp sites which offer the camper a bit more luxury.

Then there are also others that are more reasonable and offer all the basics. They are ideal for any type of tourists. In some cases one might even find that there are camp sites that offer their services for free, but then you have to make sure that you get there first. Then there are some that are slightly higher end which afford one some luxuries

There is a new trend in that many people want to camp in Europe because they are keen to experience eco-tourism. This is a type of travel that more and more agents are providing specialised services in and they look to find packages that feature the best natural experiences in Europe. Travel agents offer the real nature lover a chance to trek through Europe by putting together a package that consists of the tourist hiking through certain parts of Europe over several days or weeks and stopping at night to camp or to stay in a modest bed and breakfast.

A camping trip is the perfect component of a cycling tour of Europe and this is something that many people are doing these days. It is likely to be as a result of the fact that there is such a great deal of emphasis on the issues of money and health at the moment. You will find that everything is a whole lot cheaper by using this method and this is definitely true if you compare it with an organised trip. Transfers, transportation and hotel accommodation costs all add up, but these are avoidable on a bicycle camping vacation.

Some of the most popular camp sites include Ilha da Berlenga in Portugal which is a small hillside camp site overlooking a secluded cove, El Burro Blanco in Spain allows you to escape into a different time as you explore the nine acres of woodlands that surround the camp. Another popular spot is Les Romarins in France which boasts a spot in the hills between Monaco and Nice. You can stroll through the olive trees and along the small roads and when your thirst takes over, enjoy a meal at one of the sidewalk cafés that France is renowned for.

So there is an incredible amount to choose from when considering the idea of going to camp in Europe. All in all no matter what your tastes, your need for rest and relaxation or even the size of your pocket, to camp in Europe is a fun and amazing way to explore and experience the wonder and diversity of this amazing place which calls itself Europe.

Are you thinking you want to go camping in your Open Range RV? You will want to choose a campground soon if you do not already have one in mind. In the summer months, camping is a popular activity; therefore, you will want to make sure that you are able to get a camping reservation at the RV park of your choice.

Another one of the many reasons why you may want to think about making your camping reservations in advance is because many campgrounds allow their guests to handpick which camping spots they want. Of course, not all campgrounds allow this, but you will find that a large number of them do. In terms of getting a good campsite, you will find that the earlier you make your reservations, the more campsites you have to choose from.

In all honesty, the “perfect,” campsite is likely to vary from person to person. It depends on your wants and needs, as well as the wants and needs of those in your camping group. You might want to take some of these factors into consideration when choosing your campsite even though there will be variations in what you are looking for.

If you are going camping with small children, you may want to think about making sure that your camping site is a good distance away from any bodies of water or any dangerous hiking trails. You will see that many campgrounds have play areas close by for the kids. It may be a good idea to try and get a camping spot that is located near a playground or other locations that are designed for children.

In addition to the safety of those that you will be camping with, preferences are also something that should be taken into consideration. You will want a campsite close to the water if you want to spend your time, boating, swimming or fishing. Or, you may want a campsite close to the hiking trails if you prefer to spend your time hiking and so on.

Size is also another factor that you may want to take into consideration, when choosing a campsite. Most campgrounds have different size campsites to choose from. For the most part, the larger campsites are reserved for campers with Open Range RVs or multiple tents. Before agreeing to rent a particular camping site, you will want to make sure that the site in question is large enough for your entire camping group.

If you are camping in an Open Range RV, then you will want to make sure there are hookups such water and electricity. Camping in an Open Range RV is so much better when you can utilize the benefits of your RV.

The above mentioned factors are just a few of the many factors that you may want to take into consideration when choosing a camping spot for your next camping adventure. Most campgrounds do allow you to choose your own campsite, remember however, not all of them do.

Peacock bass fishing is quite possibly the most exciting freshwater fishing. The peacock bass, originally from South America, are well known for the fighting abilities and have desimated many a fisherman’s gear.

The peacock bass fishing began when this species of bass was intentionally put into the freshwaters of Florida by fish and game officials to help rid their waters of fish such as the Oscar, Midas cichlid, and the spotted tilapia. Due to the warm water conditions in particular areas of Florida, the butterfly peacock bass have flourished. These tropical fish cannot survive in lower water temperatures.

The Florida’s peacock bass fishing industry has greatly benefited from the introduction of this fish into Florida’s warmer fresh waters. They are a tough fighting fish and have been known to easily destroy many a fisherman’s gear. They will strike hard and run out your line. Their aerial jumps make for exciting game fishing for the beginner or expert.

The exciting sport of peacock bass fishing can be done in several parts of the US, but many sport fisherman plan a once in a lifetime trip to the Amazon to catch the peacock bass in their natural habitat. This type of trip also offers a chance to experience the area’s unique culture and landscape. They can also be located in the waters of Columbia, the Dominican Republic, Malaysia, Panama, and tropical islands of the U.S.

Peacock bass fishing can be accomplished with a fly, artificial or live bait. The best way to fish for this type of bass is with live bait during daylight hours. Fly fishing with 5 or 6 weight is suggested. A hook with a fine point to pierce and good reel are necessary to land one of these tough fighting fish. If you hire a knowledgeable guide he will advise on the type of gear needed and may even be able to provide you with it.

After a successful peacock bass fishing trip, consider a fiberglass replica of your trophy sized bass. They can be made with such precision that they are better than and last longer than skin mounts. An exact measurement with detailed photograph will provide the taxidermist with he needs to create a replica for you take home.

To ensure a memorable and productive peacock bass fly fishing trip contact one of the many travel agencies specializing in international fishing vacations. There are many fishing sites online with information and testimonials. The thrill of hooking up to the gladiator of sport fishing, the peacock bass, will provide memories to last a lifetime.

Many hunters are known to be fanatics when it comes to hunting, and for those looking to buy deer hunting land, or for those wanting to know how to build hunting blinds, or find out about the latest tips for duck lovers there is a great deal of hunting information that can be found on the internet. Furthermore, if you are prepared to spend time searching, you can get it for without charge in many instances.

Unfortunately, hunters do not always have a great deal of available time nowadays, even when it’s not the hunting season for them, and that’s because of the newest developments in hunting games for deer hunters to become available. These games can become compulsive, just like all other computer games, but the reality of these games and the level of challenge you experience in the games is quite amazing, and is so far advanced from previously.

The hunting video games that you can find today are not the mindless activities like some of the games, but games where you need to think quickly , as you are challenged to outsmart and outguess what the deer will do. And for some people, these hunting games are much better than the real outdoors hunting! The hunting games can be played on a games console, or if your computer is powerful, they can be downloaded straight onto your computer.

That’s nice and straightforward. Then you can play the hunting games whenever you choose you want, any time, rain or shine. Real hunting is not like this at all, as you probably know. For example, if you are going bear hunting, you only have certain times of the year that you are allowed to hunt.

You may have to be up at the crack of dawn to go hunting, depending on the distance travelled to the hunting location, of course. And then there is the expense of hunting. This can be huge, depending on your involvement in hunting, and your desire for the latest hunting equipment. You probably need camouflage clothes so you don’t stand out, the shooting weapon or weapons, depending on what you are hunting, perhaps a temporary hunting blind, or permanent one if the land owners or leasers permit. Of course you need to have a valid hunting permit too, and perhaps special footwear depending on where you are hunting.

The total sum of this hunting equipment may cost a pretty penny, and for many hunters, when some new gadget is released, maybe a new blind, then they have to buy it to try it out. So, deer hunting games may be a less expensive route to go, and one from which you can still gain a good experience at the end of the day. There are even some hunting games that you can play against your hunting buddies, so that the game becomes even more competitive. But watch out, these hunting games can become very addictive! If you are married with or without children, then you may have a tough time balancing your time between hunting and family. Or if you are in a relationship with someone who does not share your enthusiasm for hunting, then they may not appreciate you spending hours playing hunting games about deer! However, if you get them hooked on the games, then that will be to your advantage!

A freshwater tropical aquarium can be a fascinating addition to your home that is both good-looking and therapeutic. It will be a source of enjoyment to your family and guests to your home and both children and adults will be fascinated and entertained. For beginners setting up a tropical fish tank aquarium for the first time here are some guidelines to help you to make the most of your new aquarium and to keep it in good condition and looking attractive.

Explore the different types of fish you will be putting in your fish tank before you go to buy your fish. Ensure you find out how big the fish will grow and how many can be comfortably housed in your tank once they are fully grown. A too crowded tank will not be a healthy tank!

Then find out the types of fishes that can be placed together. A tank that houses several species of fish that can live peacefully together is called a community tank. Some fish, for example rosy barbs and tiger barbs, may well be all right when they are very young but mature into belligerent bullies.

There are lots of fish that can be placed in a community tank including Guppy, Harlequin Rasbora, Hatchetfish, Head Tail Light Tetra, Horseface Loach, Leopard Catfish, Lyretail, Molly, Neon Tetra. Opaline Gourami, Pearl Gourami, Penguin Fish, Platy, Rainbowfish and lots more.

Now that your fish tank is filled with fish here are several tips to make it easier to maintain it:

* Don’t overfeed – Decaying food left in the fish tank will produce toxic chemicals and harm your fish. Only put in as much food as your fish are able to finish off in approximately three minutes, twice a day. Fish are intended to be hungry most of the time and if they do not come to the top of the aquarium as you start to add the food you are feeding them too much!

* Every fortnight partially exchange the water. Clean the glass often using an algae scraper and every month or so take out the ornaments and decorations to clean off algae. Do not remove all of the water or clean out the filter, rocks, ornaments, synthetic plants etc all together same time. This will eliminate all the useful microorganisms that you worked so hard to encourage initially and cause stress to the fish as the levels of ammonia rise.

* When necessary, top up with water that is chlorine free. If you don’t want to use de chlorinate the water with chemicals, leave a covered container of tap water for 2 days to allow the chlorine to evaporate

* For newly purchased fish or fish with signs of illness you should have a small quarantine fish tank. Put any newly purchased fish in the quarantine tank for around seven days to avoid introducing any diseases into your main fish tank.

* Carry on testing the water for pH, ammonia and nitrite levels once or twice a week to discover any problems before suffering is caused to your fish. If you notice any problems a partial water change can often help without the use of any harsh chemicals.

Last but not least have fun and think about going to a local club. Chatting with other fish keeping enthusiasts is an excellent way to find out more about your new hobby.

After hiking over the mountain path for almost the better part of the day, I started looking for the place we would settle down for the night.

The welcome site of the camping tent beckons you. It is time to unpack and have the packed dinner. One is looking forward to sliding into the comfortable and cozy sleeping bag that is rolled up. It gives you a satisfied feeling that there is the sleeping bag for you to slide in, zip in and drift away with the cool wind all around and millions of stars in the sky watching over you.

When you go camping or trekking or mountaineering or whatever, and far away from civilization, it is just not possible to think of carrying a bed howsoever attractive the idea seems to be. But then almost equally useful camping equipment that you can easily carry around is the sleeping bag. It almost serves the same purpose as the bed. It is actually a blanket with the sides closed with a zipper, and having soft cushioning or soft padding inside for giving the feel of a bed.

The sleeping bag gives you warmth with its thermal insulations. Sleeping bags comes in two types. The normal ones are the ones that look like a blanket which can be folded and then rolled, tied with straps or cords and carried inside a backpack. Then there are the ones that remind us of the Egyptian mummies, and aptly these sleeping bags are called mummy bags. These have a larger opening at one end as compared to the leg side. It tapers down to the leg side. It cannot be easily folded or rolled. But it is better stuffed into a compression or stuff pack to be carried in the backpack.

The sleeping bags differ in their insulation capacities and ability to withstand water. You can get the sleeping bags suited to different situation and needs. The Marmot Hydrogen bag gives you the details of one such that leaves you warm at 30 Fahrenheit.

The sleeping bags have different capacities in its water absorption capacity, insulation capacity and heat retention capacity. The insulation is faster with the synthetic fill sleeping bag and it is warm even when the bag is wet. Its disadvantage is that it is not easily compressed and so takes up more space in the backpack. The lighter down fill bag though having lesser insulation capacity is able to retain more heat.

Tying a fly fishing knot is one of the most important things a fly fisherman must know how to do.Since the line is actually composed of different types of lines in addition to the fly at the end of it, tying a solid fly fishing line knot is extremely important so that none of the parts come loose during the fishing process, causing the fisherman to have to tell about the ‘one that got away.’

Tying a Good Knot

There are some general tips that help a fly fisherman to tie good fly fishing knots that will not come loose in inopportune times. One tip is to moisten the knot with water or saliva before pulling it tight, which helps it to hold more tightly once it is pulled. Another tip is to tighten the knot with a steady pull rather than jerking it tight, since it will cause it to have a more uniform snugness throughout the knot, so that a fish tugging at it will not all of a sudden draw a part of the knot tight and cause the line to snap.

In addition, it is always important to check the fishing line around each knot to make sure there is not an abrasion or any other feature that might show the fly fisherman that he may need to redo the fly fishing knot in that particular area. If the line or the knot looks worn or frayed then he is wise to go ahead and replace the line and tie another fly fishing knot in that section so that he will not lose any line or flies, not to mention a great catch. When the fly fishing knots are formed, they should also be trimmed so that there are not any stray pieces of line hanging out to the side. The fly fisherman has to be careful about this however so that he does not cut too close and ruin the fly fishing knot he just produced.

There are a series of different fly fishing knots that are used when getting a fly fishing line ready for the water. Starting closest to the reel, an Arbor knot is usually used to connect the backing to the spool of the reel. After that, an Albright fly fishing knot is usually used to tie the fly line to the backing, which is a little tricky because the lines are usually made of different materials. A Nail knot is next, which connects the leader to the fly line, which is important because this is what turns the fly over at casting.Next is the Double Surgeon’s fly fishing knot which is used to connect the tippet to the leader. Finally, the Improved Clinch knot is usually used to connect the fly to the tippet, thus completing the fly fishing line.

To go out and do lots of activity based things has certainly not ever been an interest of mine. The thing is I thought that a lot of work is done in my job, why should I do it when I am away taking vacation.

However this all changed when I was invited to go on what I thought to be one of those waste of time active holidays however when I received the invite I had a bit of holiday left over and thought screw it I will just go. After booking it I was then told the news that it wasn’t just an active holiday but one of those family adventure holidays.

Walking for a week was not something I was over the moon about but still I got on with it and gave it a go. However as soon as I got there my opinion really did change. One of the brilliant things about this trip was the fact i could get out of the city environment and into the wild. The best part for me was to actually look at the wildlife during the walk.

The cases were no worry to us at all as they were being taken from one inn to the next in time for us to use them in the evening when we needed them the most. All we had to take is a day backpack with the essential foods and medical stuff if needed. The thing I was most happy with is the fact that I was able to secure all of my Diabetic items as I was very worried about this.

We actually went on a Costa Rica Holidays but there are so many other active and walking holidays out there to choose from, it changed the way I thought about the world and it may be worth going on one yourself.

For beginner fishing, trout fishing tips truly make a difference. First of all, it would be a good thing to know that trout are fish whose metabolism depends on the temperature of water. Their metabolism accelerates with temperature increase. When in cold deeper waters, they show lethargy and need to eat less.

Moreover, around January those interested in catching trout start to be directed to warmer and warmer waters as trout leave behind cold deep waters so they could spawn. Also, during fall trout start to move towards colder and deeper waters where they would be better off during the cold season. Yet fishermen should not expect them to travel distances too rapidly. The migration cycles from one place to another as the seasons change last for several months.

another tip for trout fishing is that these animals are social ones. They tend to stick together in schools, especially the ones of the same size. Therefore, should you get lucky and get a capture, be sure that there is more trout in the area to catch as long as you do not throw the dead caught fish back in the sea to panic the rest of the school.

In addition, trout fishing locations are not difficult to find. One should take into account that they are predators but still not very active ones as their favorite meal is not actually the one they have to struggle for. They rather wait for the prey to come along and then strike. Sometimes, they feed on injured marine animals even though this kind of food might not be on their regular menu. Their regular menu consists of frogs craw-fish, worms, minnows insects and so on. For an experienced fisherman, knowledge of the eating habits and the mating peculiarities is no secret.

On the other hand, these fish are prey themselves so they need cover as well. That is why trout fishing gets carried out in areas where they could find safety like small or big rocks, weeds and other shady or sunny well-lit areas where the eye makes it difficult for them to be spotted.

Successful trout fishing may also depend on the type of bait that is chosen by the anglers. Bait should vary according to both the season – spring, summer, autumn or winter – and the spawning cycle of this fish species. For beginners, let us not forget that there will always be experienced anglers ready to come up with tips.
