This is fairly new information that a lot of people don’t know about, so I’d like to share it with you today!

Not only can you rent the latest version of Photoshop and install it on your machine for uner $50/month, but you can rent pretty much any CS product Adobe makes!

For what you’re getting the rates are quite good, and the great news is that you will always have the latest version of their software on your computer!

Google makes it very easy:

1. Go to Google.com

2. Click on “Images”

3. Click on “Advanced Image Search” link

NOTE: This has now changed, so you may need to click on the “Advanced Image Search” link under your Google options:

I found Text Wrangler to be a great HTML editor if you just want to mess around with code. It’s also great for opening and editing CSS and PHP files:

Branding is all about the image of a business.  The concept doesn’t only include style, emblems and logos but also the image of quality perceived.  The image perceived may be of total quality, reliability, and more.

Branding is about the business and how a business is different from its competitors.  The purpose of a brand is to distinguish a company from its competitors.  Once an entity makes a distinguishing impact then an advertising campaign can be much more effective.

The success of a company can be determined by a brand.  Branding includes many factors which help a company to be successful.  These factors may include a website, marketing efforts, and anything that gives a company an identity.  Consumers trust a corporate image because there is a psychology in motivating the purchasing decisions.

All companies should practice branding.  Brick and mortar business and online companies benefit through branding methods.  It is common for smaller companies and online businesses to fail due to a lack of understanding about the importance and components of a good brand.

Branding ensures that a company is perceived as professional.  It seals the deal on an entire package.  A small company with a brand looks just as good as a large corporation when they practice the right techniques.  Brands enhance your confidence as a business owner but also in the consumers that you really can deliver what you promise.

Branding offers consistency in a business.  It gives direction to employees and customers know what to expect.  Consistency can be performed through the use of things like business cards, t-shirts, and more.  Consistency includes visibility techniques that are professional and will remain in the memory of a consumer.

One concept that consumers often attach to a brand is called brand equity.  A brand is often considered to be an asset also.  For example, if you have developed a very good brand that is well known as being a top distributor of lighting fixtures and you have a competitor with a brand known to provide defective products, your brand will be worth more.

You have 2 markets to target when you sell your E-books or information products.

• Consumers – people who buy your product for PERSONAL USE
• Resellers – people who buy your product to sell them off for a profit
 
People who do not give much consideration to these two markets will run the risk of losing significant income. One doesn’t just slap resell rights on a product to increase the perceived value of an E-book. In fact, you might actually lose more profits because you spawn more and more of your own competitors.

Beware that regardless of whatever resell terms you include with your product, there will always be resellers that will sell your product as low as $1.97 or $0.97. Many marketers give out resell rights knowing full well that this will happen. Why? Well, since you can’t really stop resellers from going low, you might as well capitalize on their marketing efforts through back end sales.

When you sell your E-book, you must decide carefully what type of resell rights you are offering for your E-book depending on the niche you are targeting:

There are two types of Resell Rights, which are: Basic and Master.

• Basic Resell Rights. You have the right to resell the product to your customers but your customers DO NOT have the rights to resell to others. In other words your customers will buy the product more for PERSONAL USE.
• Master Resell Rights. You have the right to resell the product as well as pass resell rights to your customers (whether they are basic or master rights).

Here are some techniques on how to identify what type of resell rights to give to your products (or no resell rights at all).

Offer basic resell rights when you have a hot, in-demand product where the information is cutting edge and more tailored for personal use but you want to reach out to a larger market and you want to protect your product from price cutting.

Advantages:

• Make profits up-front by selling the book for a high price on the front end
• Make profits by selling basic resell rights to resellers
• Protect the perceived value of your products by giving basic resell rights ONLY to trusted and well-known resellers (who know how to market without price cutting)
• Make other profits from back-end sales.

Offer master resell rights when you have a product that you want it to go as viral as possible irregardless of the price cutting of other resellers. WARNING – only give master resell rights when you have a strong back end in place or else you will be wasting your content!

Advantages:

• Make some upfront profits but focus more on the back-end
• Create a viral marketing effect spreading your E-book and your name all over the Internet (especially through undercutting resellers)
• Offer re-branding rights for your product to keep on spreading your back-end.

Offer giveaway rights when you have a small but viral E-book to pass around for free! You won’t make any money from the front-end but you will make lots of money on the back-end because you are encouraging people to give away the product for free.

Advantages:

• Bring traffic to your back-end
• Give other resellers an option to add your product as a bonus to the products they are selling. This will help them increase the perceived value of their products and spread your book and affiliate links to their mailing lists
• Offer free re-branding rights to further enhance the viral marketing effect.

You can see this technique used all over the internet. Think about all the free membership sites that offer a backend paid membership option, or those that sell products within the free members area. Also, there are tons of free software products that offer a more powerful, paid version, which many then purchase once they see the benefits and/or realize the limitations of the free version.

Apply the correct resell rights to your products and you will see many more returns for your efforts!

Regardless of whether you use video to showcase your artisitic talents, spice up a sales page or share treasured moments with relatives, a good website video player is of the utmost importance.

If you stop by to see the good people at Flowplayer.org, not only will you find a top performing, highly customizable video player, but it’s completely free to use. You can pay for “non-branded” versions of the player, but if you don’t mind a Flowplayer logo showing up for about half a second before each video you’ll be fine.

Unlike so many paid video players that I’ve purchased over the years, Flowplayer can be easily customized using javascript, CSS and HTML. You can even download flash and java plugins to further control the look, feel and perfomance of your player.

One of the great things about the Flowplayer installation process is that most of the basic setups are demonstrated on “standalone” pages within the online instruction manual. This allows you to literally copy the source code, make a couple tweaks and voila: your player is operational within minutes.

Many of my sites require multiple videos per page. In order to keep the page load time down, Flowplayer doesn’t load videos until you choose to play them. Unlike pages using players that load the videos every time you load the page, your web pages will load as quickly as pages with no videos on them. How does this work? Well, instead of loading the video, Flowplayer just loads an image file that you assign to each video - it’s the image file in the player that you see before you click the play button. For an example, I just rebuilt one of my sites from the ground up and incorporated Flowplayer. The page below has 10 videos on it, but watch how fast it loads:
