Forever?

This is a fast post because what is being promoted as Web 3.0 is about to go live in just a few days from now.

3 days to be exact!

If your like me, as an online networker, you use many methods to promote your program or to find new people to share your opportunity with.

Im still a huge advocate of attraction marketing and using resouces like My Social URL where you can provide people with a way to see your primary business as well as many of your social networks, all in one place.

With one link, you can send someone to see your primary business site, but also see your FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter and YouTube accounts.

I like both Twitter and YouTube a lot for my marketing. How handy it is to be able to have all of these resources in one link.

But...

Even with good social marketing, it's an ongoing struggle to keep putting your business or opportunity in front of enough people to keep a fresh stream of prospects looking at your business.

In that case, I've used Email Marketing and Safe Lists, Traffic Exchanges and Solo Ads.

While they are effective, they can require either a large investment in funds to by ad credits or a time investment to view other ads in order to build enough credits so you can send out an ad.

Until just the other day, I figured thats just the way it was going to be. Investing hours a day building credits and sending out mailings to find new people.

Now the Marketing Master and Internet Millionaire Paul Birdsall is releasing a new technology onto the internet and online business opportunity world that looks like its going to change everything I and 1000's of other marketers are doing every day.

Paul just spent 14 Months & $92,000 Developing A Unique & Exclusive Software That Is A Lethal 'Yet Ethical' Lead Generation Software Which Automatically Extracts Leads & Traffic From Targeted Sites WE DON'T OWN And Then... Systematically Does The Selling For YOU!
If you do marketing on safe lists, visiting traffic exchanges or clicking and sending solo ads just to find new people to bring into your program, GPT or MLM....STOP and check out Paul's video HERE. It will give you an advanced look at this new technology being called Web 3.0

Imaging having your own list of 10,000+ opt-in opportunity seekers that YOU can show your program, GPT or business opportunity to without the need to invest either large amounts of money or hour after hour surfing and sending out ads. This technology is going to change my life and I believe it will change yours as well. Go get an advanced look at Web 3.0 NOW...its only days away now.

Dreaded List of 100

Hello Everyone,

There is one consistent thing in just about every MLM, Network Marketing and Party Plan company "starter pack" I think I've ever seen.

That is the metal exercise of writing down your "List of 100". That's 100 people you know in case you are not familiar with MLM or you just never even made it that far in building your business.

Now, while I'm not a real fan of traditional methods of hounding friends and family to build a business, that is not to say that there's not value in some of these old school methods.

Creating a list of resources is very important and the people you know are important resouces to you as you build your business.

However, these people are not always a resouce for you to prospect, recruit or sign-up. Here is a great video from one of my friends from Better Networker with a great explanation of how we new generation networkers view the famous "List of 100"

If you're not familiar with Better Networker or you've never visited Better Networker before, I believe you're missing an amazing rescource for Network Marketing training and the opportunity to meet some very talented and active networkers. This is mainly down to struggling MLMers realizing that the methods they are using aren’t actually working. Unfortunately, these MLMers are given encouragement to reevaluate their aims, to believe in their leads and buy more. Not good!

If you are just starting out in inter-network marketing you should turn your sights to article marketing.

Article marketing can help you to gain an online presence, and the benefits will be long lasting.

Article writing may seem like a huge step for most people, but can it really be that difficult?

Ask yourself this question – are you able to write an article that is 300-400 words in length on the subject of network marketing? You should be able to answer yes straight away.

Have you got your own views and opinions on network marketing, the products you promote, and the beneficial effect this can have on customers? Answering yes again proves you can write your article.

However, just writing one article is not going to be enough. You’ll need to write a few and produce them continuously. Below is an intensive course on how to create a campaign through the use of article marketing for home business.

1. Conduct searches using keywords for topics on home business or network marketing. As you are new to this, you probably won’t have any experience of keyword tools. This can be overcome by jotting down a list of phrases or words that are linked to home business and network marketing.

What would you enter if you were going to conduct an online search using a search engine? There's a good chance that whatever you enter is going to be used by others so try to note down as many words and phrases as possible.

2. Choose your phrase and base your article on it. To get some inspiration conduct a search to see what other writers are writing about. Do not resort to plagiarism. Read articles and think about how you can improve them. You could possible enhance some of the main points, but do keep your article original.

3. A resource box is a necessity so create one as soon as possible. This will inform your readers where they can obtain great advice and tuition and you’ll need to direct them using links.

4. Run a search using the search phrase ‘top article directories’. Then select approximately ten of these to submit your article to. You will probably be required to create an account on each directory.

5. Initially, you will be wanting to submit one article everyday for the first 10 days at least. After that period submit a couple each week over the following month. Of course, this regularity is your choice. You might wish to submit articles at a higher rate and that is fine.

The more article marketing for home business articles you produce the more you are going to increase your presence. Your articles will end up acting as your own sales team working for you to promote your business in inter-network marketing.

Here are a few resources that can help you out in your article marketing. To get ideas and inspiration about subjects for your articles, one method I use is keeping an eye on what people are talking about on the work at home type forums. Chances are, if it's a subject people are talking about on the forums, it would be an article that would find interested readers.

Another source is HERE which will send you a prewritten article that you can openly use. I would suggest, however, that you rewrite these articles in your own style and include personal perspectives on the article subject. Here is that resource link again.

Article Marketer is a fantastic resource and starting point for you article marketing.

Online MLM Webinar. Attract Prospects Instead

Within the sponsoring process, the goal is not to SELL our prospects on a product or opportunity.

That sounds completely backwards and counter-intuitive doesn’t it? After all, what’s the point if you’re not there to make a sale right?

Well there’s a problem with “selling” when it comes to this industry, especially when you’re offering a business opportunity.

If you “sell” someone on getting started and buying into your opportunity through persuasive conversational and closing techniques that pump them up emotionally, and target their “hot buttons”, then yes, you will recruit a lot of people and make sales.

But…

Once that emotional state wears off, whether it’s a day later or a week, the buyer will experience remorse. The dreams of wealth and success will succumb to the harsh realities of business ownership… That there’s real work involved, skills to be learned, money to be invested, and much more. These people quit and go back to their lives.

Now if you’re just going after a one-time retail sale, that would be fine. But that’s not your goal when you’re bringing in a new distributor whom you’d like to a see a commitment/partnership of several years from.

Unfortunately, this is what happens most of the time in this industry. New distributors are just focused on the sale. They need the money, they want the self-gratification and recognition that comes from sponsoring a new rep so they learn how to throw out lines, read scripts, sell, over-come objections, and close. Some will go on to achieve success because they sponsor so many people that some naturally stick and run with it.

But selling and sponsoring like that is HARD work. It’s an uphill battle because you’re fighting people’s instincts to avoid being sold. They’re afraid of making a mistake. They’re afraid of being ripped-off. They’re afraid of failing or looking silly. There’s no TRUST.

In my opinion, there is a much better way that’s more enjoyable and beneficial for both people…

Make it THEIR IDEA to buy from you.

This is the new paradigm when it comes to selling in today’s market. Your First Step: Get Invited…

The old fashioned methods of pounding the phones, holding meetings, pitching your business to leads, and trying to turn your friends and family members into business partners have come to an end.

“Prospecting” for business as you’ve known it, has become obsolete. It’s an irrelevant, old-school sales technology that is only pursued by individuals who have yet to discover the methods Magnetic Sponsoring is based upon.

I’d like you to stop and think for a moment. Compare today’s social environment to the world we lived in just 15 years ago.

Today, people are DROWNING under a flood of information, marketing noise, and endless options to choose from thanks to the internet. Corporations have literally turned us into numbers, tracked our personal buying habits, categorized our topics of interest, and constantly use that information to drive as many customized offers into our viewing screen. Entire industries, products, and pieces of legislature have been created just to help consumers manage the tidal wave… Think pop-up blockers, spy ware protection, spam filters, and the “Do Not Call List”.

People have been forced to build fortified walls around themselves and their homes to fight back the onslaught of people trying to get their hands into their pocket book. Solicitations are detested and met with frustration and impatience. We simply don’t want to be bothered which means no sane person would willingly build any kind of business based on cold-market prospecting, and in-your-face selling.

Yet... The internet has created an entirely new world of opportunity for everyone, where you can literally re-invent your life, and turn a simple thought into a business for little or no money at all.

Obviously, that’s a trend you intend to take advantage of, or you wouldn’t be here right now.

But unfortunately 95% of those who start a home business will fail themselves, and the primary reason for that failure is that they didn’t acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today’s modern, competitive market place.

So with that said, here’s the key to success in today’s market…

If you’re going to sell something to someone, you’ve got to find a way to get invited into their world as a welcomed guest, instead of a pest.

Now you have two options when it comes to building your business…

You can simply play the numbers and contact enough people until you make a sale through traditional old-school prospecting and this is the path 95% of home business owners take.

Or…

You can position yourself in the market place in a manner that allows interested prospects to find you, and contact you.

This is called “attraction marketing” which is at the heart of Magnetic Sponsoring and Black Belt Recruiting.

Option #2 is obviously the superior choice for several reasons, but I’d like to point out one dynamic that is key to the concept of Magnetic Sponsoring…

Who finds and contacts the other person first is very important.

In Option 1, you were chasing the prospect. In Option 2, the prospect was chasing you, which means you are perceived as the expert, and hold all of the power and value in that situation.

The prospect invited you into their world, and is basically asking you to sell them your goods or services. You get to instantly bypass all of the barriers and walls that must be broken down by everyone else, and all of the sudden this isn’t about selling any more.

You’re now in the position of the knowledgeable service provider who’s expertise has been sought out and pursued. There’s a level of implied trust already present. At this point, sponsoring becomes effortless.

This is where you have to be today in order to break through the infinite noise in the market place.

How do you do this?

Simple… The most potent marketing weapon you have in your arsenal, is actually you – because unlike business opportunities, there’s only one of you in the entire world.

You want to market YOU.

So the key to Step 1: “Getting Invited”, is to offer personal VALUE to your prospect above and beyond your opportunity. The best way to increase your value to other people is to educate yourself. Become an expert at lead generation. Become an expert at sponsoring prospects. Become and expert at attraction marketing.

There’s no magic here. Just study courses like Magnetic Sponsoring and Black Belt Recruiting, apply what you learn, and you will automatically acquire massive amounts of value to your prospects who don’t know any of this yet.

No value… No invitation.

If you’re struggling with sponsoring, it’s because you don’t have any real value to offer anyone. Change that.

As we’ve seen, having value and expertise to offer is VERY attractive, and that’s Step 2 in my personal sponsoring system…

One of the Best Secrets of Online MLM Marketing

I'm not going to waste your time here...Network marketing secrets are a dime a dozen. let's face it, everyone is looking for an easier way to do things but the key secret with network marketing is putting a process in place which can take a prospect from being a complete stranger to becoming a business associate.

How do you do this? Here is where most network marketers fall down. They get a prospect into their sales funnel and they immediately want to sales pitch them.

How many times have you been approached about a business opportunity and been told how great the company or the product is? Or if you don't join now then you'll be sorry.

Ask yourself this, does this want to make you want to grab the credit card and sign up immediately?

So what does? Pre-selling...

Two of the biggest preponents of preselling are Ken Evoy of Site Build It! and Ann Sieg of The Renegade Network Marketer. Both have been preaching preselling as the most important aspect of attracting and teaching prospects before you ask for the sale.

The concept won't resonate with many network marketers because many haven't the patience to implement it. But the truth is, as far as network marketing secrets go, it's just about the most powerful aspect of building a business one could implement.

When done right, preselling can actually eliminate the need for a sales pitch. It could become a thing of the past. Here's a quick example of how the process could work in your business:

1. A prospect enters your lead funnel with a little trepidation after reading and responding to your message.

2. They contact you about your opportunity and expect to be hit with a sales pitch. Instead, you talk about them and how to get them from the starting point to reaching their goal.

3. You start to teach and educate them, send them resources, show them the benefit of building online real estate to provide people with valuable information. At no time do you hit them with anything resembling a sales pitch.

4. After several weeks, your prospect now trusts you as someone genuinely interested about helping them succeed and they ask you what network marketing company you're in. Many actually ask how can they join you in business.

Can you see the power of this? Because you took the time to presell the prospect on you, not your company, they now regard you as someone important to their long range plans.

It's one of the best kept network marketing secrets and is the missing element so many networks do not use. In fact, most of what I see of networkers online is just taking off-line marketing methods and putting them online.

What do I mean?

Every network marketer has a brochure about their company that they can hand out. That's fine. But very limited in it's impact. What I see so often is that networkers create a social profile or web page and it's just their brochure put online with links to their replicated company website and this will be just at ineffective as before.

More importantly, it's not attraction marketing at all. What it's saying to a visitor is "Hey...look at my company! Isn't it great? Join me....please!". So what have you told me about yourself other than you are desperate to sign someone up? What have you told me about what kind of leader you would be for me? What have you told me about you that makes you any different from the other 1000's of similar profiles and webpages out there?

Market you...that is the one thing that nobody else has.

5 Key Elements to Online Network Marketing

Success in network marketing today revolves around being able to attract prospects to you. In other words, forget what you've been told about making a list and then asking people to come to a meeting to hear about a business opportunity.

Internet network marketing is something you need to embrace if you want to keep your prospect funnel full. The key is putting your message in front of those who are ready and willing to hear it. Does this sound like a strange concept? It shouldn't be and that's why the internet is such a powerful tool.

So how do you use the internet to gain success in network marketing? Here are 5 basic ways...

5 Steps To Network Marketing Success

You need to brand yourself and your business and the best way to do this is by giving prospects a place to go to learn and be educated. The majority of network marketers just do what everyone else does and that includes using the same website provided by the company.

Create your own web properties. This can be in the form of a website, a blog or using the many avenues of web 2 sites to promote your business.

Avoid using sales pitches on your web properties. In other words, they shouldn't be used to sell. Instead, they should be used to train and educate. Giving your prospects the how to rather than a sales pitch will help break down the trust barriers and brand you as someone who knows what they are talking about. People gravitate towards leaders and by teaching prospects from the outset means eventually, some will want to know what your business is and will want to become part of your team.

Share resources with your prospects which will help them move their business forward. This means staying in touch with them and providing tips on how to promote their business. These could be article marketing tips, how to create a blog or how to use the power of web 2.

Show them how to use online resources such as article directories. In other words, writing articles and submitting them to these directories is a great way to get your message out to those looking for it. Articles are the fodder of the internet, people want information and articles are an great way to give it to them. By publishing articles, you'll get traffic to your sites as well as build valuable back links back to your properties gaining more traction in the search engines.

These are just five steps to success in network marketing but each one of them will help set you apart from the pack and create branding for you.

To learn even more about using the internet to grow your business, I recommend reading a free e-book called the Attraction Marketer's Manifesto

MLMs Dirty Secrets Revealed

As a Renegade Network Marketer, a goal I have is to spread some truths about Network Marketing. MLM's dirty secrets revealed is one purpose of this blog. The other is to help you learn about other ways to build your business.

So Let's address these questions. Can you become a successful network marketer? Is it possible to reach your financial goals through network marketing?

Yes, but you will need to learn the newest attraction marketing methods. Why?

Do you know that over 90% of network marketers or MLM businesses fail within the first 90 days of their start?

Are you aware that well over 90% of all network marketers have never made even one dollar from their business?

These are some of the hard facts about the MLM business and they're just some of the facts you must face if you're to become a successful network marketer.

Much has been made of the report published by Ann Seig. In her 39 page publication, "The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing", Seig clearly discusses the reasons for the high failure rate within the MLM industry. While Seig’s report discusses these reasons in more detail, in general shes explains that the old techniques most people try to use in their MLM business are no longer working and are even less effective then they were in the past.

The people who are joining networking companies today and will be taught to use the existing methods will inevitably become a part of the 90% plus failure group.

These being the case, if you plan to become a successful network marketer, learn what the old techniques are and then do something different. It’s an example of expecting different results from the same method that has failed over and over again.

Learn the old methods that have proven to lead to failure. Understand how you are expected to succeed. Listen to what your upline is recommending and then modify these approaches.

If you want to become a successful network marketer understand that annoying friends and relatives is a waste of time and only makes you less likely to build your own network.

Also attending meeting after meeting will not help you to create your own methods for success. Yes, learn what the old methods are, but know when it is time to build your own.

In addition don’t believe the pitch that they'll build the business for you. You must break away from their out-dated methods and consider online attraction marketing methods.

Lastly do not buy hundreds of non-targeted leads and phone them with your offer. Learn where you can acquire the targeted leads and spend your resources there. The truth is, with attraction marketing, creating your own leads is a far better approach to take.

The methods you have availible to you today focus on working smarter, not harder. Being effective. Working harder at being ineffective just makes you more...well, ineffective.

The methods that once worked for MLM, are less profitable then ever before. The historic 90% plus failure is stark proof of this. Just as those who developed the old successful methods built on existing ideas, if you want to become a successful network marketer you will need to build on the current ideas and be where your customers and prospects are...online.

Click here to download your free copy of The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing

Breaking Even in You're MLM Business

Like I've said before. This is a very important question because the internet has started to become an extremely important part of business.

Network marketers worldwide are now using the internet for MLM. Lead generation and prospecting are the keys to the system, but you must understand how to use both. The beauty of generating leads online lies around the fact you can place your message smack bang in front of the prospects you're targeting.

But let's not forget that despite the internet providing us with massive leverage and powerful lead generating ground, there's still hard work required. You must understand that if you've been attracted to the MLM business thinking that you'll join and all of the work will be done for you, this is not the place for you.

How about the issue of automation? It may be possible to automate other types of business, but with this it's simply impossible to apply total automation to your network marketing opportunity. This is because it will always involve a relationship building aspect which is vital in developing a business. Not to mention the leadership element which simply cannot be automated. A proven system for easy duplication can be used, but the leadership and coaching cannot.

Relationship building is still extremely important in MLM despite the fact you no longer have to cold call or chase a prospect down face-to-face. Lead generation is one area that's well suited for automation.

Now what about the follow-up? Do you think your chances of signing someone into your business would increase if they knew there was a real person at the other end of the email.

Many rely on buying leads which is a form of automation. But this is a shortcut to blowing money you don't have unnecessarily because it's been proven time and time again that bought leads in network marketing have a very poor record.

Leads are the fuel of any network marketing machine. The matter of fact is that without them you and your downline is doomed in the end. You must resist the urge to let someone else do the lead generation that you so desperately need.

It's vital to know exactly where your leads are coming from and exactly where they are sourced as well as having control over you own leads.

This goes for company based lead generation systems as well. Unless you have total control over your leads, you cannot be sure what might happen to them.

Let's just say, as an extreame example, you choose to leave your current company and join another. Let's be honest here, it happens. Well if the leads that you've created are maintained in your previous company database, who gets to keep these leads?

Then there is also to little factor that I and many other promote and that is using your leads to generate other income streams. You may have heard of the "funded-proposal" concept. Well, it's the leads that you've generated that are your market for some of the other tools, resouces and products that you offer and use to generate additional income streams. Unless these your leads are maintained in your autoresponder, you will have very limited ability to market your other income streams.

You must develop your own lead marketing system for you to be successful over an extended period of time. You are responsible for how successful you be and you must remember that the key to the entire system is building relationships.

Understanding Online Network Marketing

The network marketing internet systems have played a large role in promoting the MLM industry today and the impact with grow as more of the world goes online.

Offline and online network marketing strategies are used effectively by people that have a background in both types of marketing. MLM business relies largely upon network marketing internet systems and they will for many years to come. Although, you are greatly decreasing your chances for success if you are using one of these systems alone instead of both of these systems together.

Offline business building and leadership with remain a key element to the foundation of your business. Online network marketing gives you the leverage and speed to connect with a world wide community but sooner or later, the relationship moves offline as you continue to work with your customers and team members.

Of course, you may never get to meet some of the people you sponsor because they may live on the other side of the world. Email, webinars and phone may be the best you can do.

The offline system means that you are creating trust. This does not mean that you bother people and just relentlessly try and build a relationship with them. It means that you must have a heart to heart with your a prospect and show them that you really care. You must send them postcards and even take the time to speak with them on the phone to show them that caring personality that you have.

Network Marketing Internet Systems

The internet was not always a pathway for establishing yourself in the MLM industry, but this is no longer the case. Today the internet is a major pathway for establishing the fact that you are an expert with the industry and s narrow niche within that industry. The internet is a wonderful thing because it gives people within the industry the ability to meet with each other and discuss ideas that have worked for them.

These network marketing internet systems involve blogs (like the one your visiting now), web sites, email as well as informational reports. Web 2.0 resources are also extremely vital in the development of a successful system. In the past web 2.0 resources were not as important, but in today’s world they truly are. Now we can take an in depth tool at how each of these resources really work.

Blogs

Blogs are the key component of the majority of network marketing internet systems. The reason for this is that they are a great way to give information to people that may be interested in your system. If your blog is good this can help to establish you as an expert in the MLM field. It's a must that your information is helpful and is there to help people reading your blog.

Sourcing Leads With Reports

A great way to develop a list of contacts is to write a short report on a part, any part, of network marketing. This can then be offered to people in exchange for receiving their contact details. This is a great way to build up the people you know and begin networking! These reports must be valuable that cannot be junk. Your MLM success should be a sure thing. Right? Just copy your upline.

Yet, 95% of network marketers fail. You may be wondering why the network marketing industry or system has failed them. The fact is that the system is great, but the person themselves created their own failure.

Network marketing revolves around the basic principle of duplication. If you simply duplicate an effective system you will get results extremely quickly. The main problem with the majority of MLM’ers is that they confuse the system with their upline. You may be wondering what we mean…

In shorter words, a system is something that you can duplicate, but you cannot duplicate the people within that system. Once you have this concept down you'll realize why many people fail in the industry of network marketing. A similar analogy for this kind of system is Burger King. The food at Burger King isn’t the greatest in the world, but they are so successful because they have duplicate systems in place all around the world. The system works and is extremely profitable even thought he people using it varies from store to store.

The people within each system are not duplicable. Many people put their sponsor, or upline on a pedestal which is a big mistake.

How Important Is An Upline

It's true that your upline is extremely important for you to be successful in the industry of network marketing, but you cannot ignore the network marketing duplication system. You should not try and copy what another person is doing who is not following the system because this will lead you down the path to failure.

You may be wondering why you shouldn’t always mold yourself around successful people. The reason why is because these people are not following the same system which you are following.

So how do you avoid this and how can you assure that a system that you use can be duplicated by those you bring into the business.

Well, making it as easy to follow is important. Also, making sure that you provide a good explanation and good training in how to use the system will eliminate the need for people you sponsor to "make it up" as they go along.

I'd been in the situation too often where I had the chance to listen to the out of town big shot with the massive downline. Eager to hear what she or he had to teach me. While the infomation was good, it did more to provide a source of motivation than providing practical tools. It have me the concept and general ideas...but rarely did I walk away with a clear understanding of the "how-to" of there success.

Here again, I was put in the situation of duplicating the person and not the system.

An interesting thing about online netorking is that duplication becomes much more do-able than offline. In offline marketing like prospecting friends, family and co-workers or talking to people in the mall, it is a very first impression type of situation. This is where you may not be able to duplicate the personality of a top gun netorker.

Online networking runs on systems. It's really a lot more of a copy and paste of what does work and let the automated systems work for you. Once the system has done its work for you, you will end up with the best qualified people to talk to who already are familiar with you, your company, your products and the opportunity you provide. When you do talk to them the first time, and you still need to communicate with a prospect, most of the selling, telling and conviencing is over.

Here is a great system that's easy to follow, teach and share with people you sponsor into your business. Teach them to follow the system and come to you for help on making the system you provide work for them. They can never be you...but they can learn to use the system that you use.

Here is the system I recommend. Check it out.

Listen More Than you Talk When You Prospect

One of the more obvious facts in MLM prospecting is that people will only do business with people that they like and enjoy talking to. If you take a minute you will see what I mean. Most people in this world only like being around people that they like, so it only makes sense that you would do business with someone that you like.

This is even more true when it comes to someone that's looking for a leader join. It only makes sense that they would be more inclined to join someone they like.

It may not hit your for some time, but when you think about it, you may find more success.

I generally have a high opinion of myself so I thought I was a likeable person. Being successful in the MLM network marketing business is not just about telling everyone about the services or product you have to offer. It's about getting people to like you, getting people to trust you, and gaining credibility with potential prospects.

MLM Prospecting Process

It's important that you understand how to get people to like you and do business with you over and over again. It's easier said than done. The main thing here is that you are extremely honest with potential prospects and you do what you say you are going to do for them.

Your job is hard enough prospecting in multi level marketing and being courteous to a person will make it must easier. The initial contact with a potential prospect is extremely important, but just because you have a good first contact does not mean you'll get business from them. After the first initial contact you have to work extremely hard to ensure that this person joins your business if they are a good fit for your team.

The Importance Of Building A Relationship

Below there are some important facts about building relationships in the MLM marketing industry:

1. When you're having a conversation with a person it's also extremely important that you are an active listener. Make sure that you listen to their story completely so you understand why they are talking to you. They are speaking with you to look for an answer to their problem and you need to listen so you hear what the problem is. They won't always come out and say it.

2. Make yourself seem as if you are an expert in your field. You have to be the souce of the solution that your prospect is looking for. They're still shopping around after their first contact with you so you have to ensure them that your business is the best solution for them.

3. Listening is the key to building a successful relationship. Listening will help you find out exactly what your prospect wants. You must find out exactly what the prospect wants to know and also what they want to avoid. You must respect their desires at all costs.

4. Potential prospects will only do business with leaders that they like. This is a fact. You need to make yourself appear as someone that they will enjoy working with. The best way to do this is to deliver what you promise. Following these tips will ensure that you're successful in the MLM marketing industry.

Listening takes work because our initial reaction is to want to do all the talking and sell them into submission. How can you give them a solution if you don't even know what they really want.

Remember, being an expert means that you only need to know a little more than the person your talking to.

Having a good flow of people will go a long way in helping you refine your skills. To learn how to generate a constant flow of retail customers, prospects and leads...Check This Out.

Lead Generation and List Building with Video

I've recently been talking with many networkers that tell me that they want to begin online lead generation and using web 2.0 and social media marketing but don't feel that they could have their own blog, market by writing articles or create their own website. The most common reason I hear is that they're don't think they're capable of creating good quality content or articles. Others dont think that they could create enough weekly content to keep a blog going or build an entire website or even a Squidoo page.

Well, I will admit that there is a level of copywriting skills that is helpfull when writing articles or creating a Squidoo page. But that, by now means is a limitation.

You see, with web2.0, video is just as powerfull as copywriting. In many ways, it's more valuable and more effective than written material. This more true in "attraction marketing" than anywhere else. With Video, a potential prospect or retail customer gets to meet YOU, and that's what attraction marketing is all about. So let's take a closer look at lead generation, list building and marketing using video...

You've heard me say this a number of times and all experience marketers know the old adage that “the money is in the list “. Network marketers have developed contact lists in many different ways over the years. Generally a sign up form is offered with a free giveaway. Someone simply fills out the form with a name and e-mail address to “opt in” to the autoresponder and the free giveaway is provided to them. In return for that, they generally understand that they have granted permission for whoever made the offer to follow up with other e-mails with other offers.

Several years ago the singular e-mail opt-in was taken a step further when software was developed that asked the first recipient to forward the offer to 4-5 of there friends in order to qualify for the free giveaway, or perhaps even a very low priced offering. Hence, list building became viral, meaning that a single e-mail to a single individual could be multiplied in a near exponential manner as each level of opt-ins continued to forward the offer to even more people.

The Web 2.0 World

Of course the latest trend in the network and internet marketing community is the Web 2.0 world of blogs, YouTube, Twitter and the like. The use of videos in various social networks in order to communicate and establish a following with other people has become a great standard. The net result of all this is that seemingly the most effective way to communicate with potential customers, leads or your list subscribers, or even find new subscribers and customers these days is probably through the use of videos.

Videos have a number of advantages, including the ability to present yourself as a sincere and a knowledgeable person in a face-to-face way. A potential subscriber or customer is more likely to buy from someone they they feel like they know. So
consequently, it’s almost imperative these days that you use the video medium in order to communicate with potential prospects to turn them into eventual customers.

The New Viral Video World

Interestingly, a new video software system to build a contact list and potential customer or prospect list virally has been introduced. Internet guru Joel Therien, CEO ofKiosk.ws, is in the process of launching very easy to use video building software called Easy Video Producer that has the potential to be a very effective way of generating contacts in a viral manner. This system is unique because the software itself is being offered as the free giveaway for this video “tell-a-friend” system. Essentially, the system will offer you free and extraordinarily easy to use video generating software that builds and posts your personally produced video and information capture form on a website or blog. A contact management system is included with the free offer as well.

The viral concept is that you would then attract traffic to introduce yourself to the prospect in a more personal way, offering them the opportunity to opt in and use the same free software that you used to prepare the video. The prospect and new contact would in turn use his free new system to attract even more potential contacts for his list and yours as well.

As in the earlier e-mail systems, the originator of the viral messege of the free software would have access to every subscriber in the levels below them. So, what is offered is a system that provides a free and very simple (even a cave man could
do it) method of posting videos to the internet that have a specific purpose of giving away additional software in a viral manner to capture a fast growing network of contacts with whom you can continue to build a relationship.

The Issues I See

The problems with this system are not dissimilar from those in other earlier systems of using free giveaways to build a list. You first must be able to get your video in front of an audience and in order for them to subscribe, and they in turn must have an audience to subscribe in order for the system to work effectively. It can probably be most effectively used by someone who already has a subscriber list and wants to expand it rapidly.

Another potential negative is that the new contacts you generate with this list, both directly and indirectly, are not yet buyers and it’s likely that many of them will have no interest in your particular marketing niche. The best strategy, of course, is to build credibility over time through a series of value adding free offers that are designed to help determine their interests. Only then should you move on to the stage of offering them the opportunity to buy your stuff.

This new easy video producer software system appears to offer a simple and easy, no cost way for the experienced, and particularly the relatively inexperienced non-technical networker to make effective use of videos for viral list building, and business promotion.

So, problem solved. I've eliminated one more reason for you not to get started marketing, building relationships and generating leads online. Just go here to check out the Easy Video Producer.

Does Your MLM Offer Too Many Products?

The other day I touched on the subject of niche marketing and the idea that if you're in a company with a lot of different products or a large catalog, a key to being effective with online marketing was to pick a product or a limited number of products and focus on those as your niche focus. To promote those few products and become an expert about them and their benefits. Then market to people that would want or need the benefits you identify.

Today, one of the top teachers of Online Networking, Mike Dillard, sent out an email talking about this very subject. It addresses an interesting subject within MLM and Network Marketing and gives a pretty unique view that may go against logic for most networkers. The question is...

Is It Better To Have A Company With More Products For Sale, Or Less? – And How This Effects Your Recruiting Results.

Here is what Mike Dillard shared with me

A few years ago I was building a team with a popular juice company that had one single product in their line. This had become a growing trend after the success of Noni and Sea Silver – two companies that had broken sales records for the industry with single product based lines.
Without doubt, it was a phenomenon that caught everyone’s attention, and sparked much debate among distributors.

Is it better to have just one product, or should you have many to fit all the needs of your potential customers like New Vision, or Herbalife, Isagenix, or Melalueca?

For many people, logic dictated that having multiple products was an advantage. But the numbers said differently, and this juice company became the third in a row to shatter all sales and growth records, despite their minimalist product line.

Why?

That’s the point of this post… It’s not to argue for one model or company over another, but to discover the psychological reasons behind the numbers. Why did consumers buy more product, more often, when they were presented with fewer choices?

Well last night I started reading a new book called, “YES! 50 Scientifically Proven Ways To Be Persuasive” by Robert Cialdini. And guess what I found on page30…? Yep, the answer to this massive question. Here’s an excerpt from the book that demonstrates this phenomenon in two very different studies…

“Behavioral scientist Sheena Iyengar and several colleagues analyzed company-sponsored retirement programs for nearly 800,000 workers, looking at how the participation rates varied as a function of how many fund choices the organization offered.

Sure enough, the researchers found that the more choices that were offered, the less likely the employees were to enroll in the program at all.

For every 10 additional funds the company offered, the participation rate dropped 2%. By comparison, they found that when only two funds were offered, the rate of participation was roughly 75%. But when fifty-nine funds were offered, the participation dropped below 60%.

In a second study, they set up a display at an upscale super market in which passersby could sample a variety of jams that were all made by a single manufacturer. Either 6, or 24 flavors were offered at any given time.

The results demonstrated a clear and astonishing difference between the two conditions: Only 3% of those who approached the extensive-choice display actually purchased any jam. Contrast that with the 30% who bought jam when they approached the limited choice display.”

Now there are always exceptions to the rule, when variety plays a positive role, such as Baskin Robins Ice Cream, but in most cases, too many options leads to indecision. I found that this philosophy had a positive impact in ALL areas of my networking business as well.

Having a single product based line was advantageous in many ways…

It created PERFECT focus and momentum throughout the company because every single distributor, was dealing with the same product. Think of it as a bandwagon effect.

All of the conference calls, all of the tools, all of the websites, and all of the training were about one single product. New distributors don't join and say, “So which products should I promote”, or “Which tools should I buy?” Every distributor and every team was on the same page. This laser-like focus produced incredible results.

Having too many options creates fragmentation throughout the distributor force, with various teams using different methods, and tools to promote different products. This creates confusion and doubt for new distributors who can’t help but wonder if there’s a better way being used by another team. Focus is destroyed.

Now when it came to recruiting, we relied on this same behavioral tendency to maximize results there as well.

I’ve always had a saying in this business when it comes to the sponsoring process… “People will only choose from the options you give them”. It was a technique that was extremely useful when it was time to take an order and fill-out the distributor application.

You NEVER ask a prospect, “So John, how much product would you like to buy for your first initial order?” That’s sales suicide. You GIVE John 1 to 3 options that he MUST choose from.

For example, let’s say that your company offers three product for 1, 3, or 5 boxes of product, valued at $100 per box.

Well when I was recruiting distributors for this juice company at the time, I would have only offered John the option to get started with 3 boxes or 5. Starting with 1 box was NOT an option that I’d give him. If he asked if he could just purchase 1, the answer was no… “John, how do you really expect to start a successful business with 1 single box of product? If you want to be a consumer, that’s fine, but as a business builder you’d be shooting yourself in the foot and I can’t let you do that.“ If he insisted on buying only 1 box, then I’d let him go. I wouldn’t sponsor him.

Why?

For several reasons…

He wasn’t coachable.

He wasn’t really serious about his success to begin with.

He was going to attract, and start others in the business the same way he came in… A bunch of people willing to “give it a try” with 1 box of product.

Because I only gave my prospects the option to get started with 3 or 5 boxes of product, that meant that 100% of my distributors started with 3 or 5 boxes, instead of 1 or 2 like most people on other teams. This meant our team was doing 3 to 5 times the volume and having much more success in building a customer base because they actually had product on hand to sell and promote.

Just remember… YOU dictate the terms. Your prospects can only choose from the options YOU give them.

I used this same mentality when writing the “Building On A Budget” course.
I could have included 10 to 15 different methods for producing free traffic online, but I intentionally limited the course to my top 5, most effective methods.

If you give a student too many options to choose from, they’re paralyzed by indecision.
If you give them a short, focused path to follow, they’ll get incredible results.

Just remember…The fewer the number of options, the more focus…
The more focus, the better the results…

If you need help turning your leads into distributors using techniques like the one I just shared with you, pick up a copy of "Black Belt Recruiting". It will save you YEARS of time and frustration when it comes to sponsoring distributors. In fact, the techniques work so well, I'll guarantee your results. It makes no difference whether your marketing is online or offline, using the simple rules and science of sell is important.

Maybe you don't think what your doing is selling. It's just sharing...right?

Forget it, your selling. We need to put away the toys and get serious about the business. If your not thinking as a marketer, it's time you started.

One thing I see a lot of people doing is aiming towards the target but not hitting the mark. When marketing our products, it's easy to get caught in the trap of talking about and selling the features of a product and not the benefits.

Without going to long in this post. An easy way to examine if your selling benefits or features is to think about some detail of your product and ask yourself "so what". If you can answer that question, the detail you thought of was the feature and the answer is the benefit. Here's what I mean...

When you began looking at starting your business, before you signed up, I'm sure you were given all sorts of information about it. Most of it was features.

You can have your own business and be your own boss. So what? What was having your own business going to do for you? Is that a feature of Network Marketing or a benefit? What did having your own business mean to you? Control? Freedom?

You can make lots of money (OK..lets go with that). So what? Do you really need hundreds of pieces of paper laying around? What was that money going to do for you? Security? More freedom? More control?

The point I'm trying to make is that you made your decision based on emotions and not features. In fact, most of your decisions are made based on emotions. So are you using the power of emotions in your marketing messages?

When you begin marketing with an understanding of the emotions behind the decision, your going to have a lot more success in connecting with the prospect or retail customer. Save the features for follow-up questions.

I know, features are save and easy to talk about. Please understand this one thing. If your not connecting with the other person's emotions, there will not be a sale or sign-up. Without emotion attached, there is no reason.

I remember a lesson I was taught many years ago about sales. Look at any product you buy. When you buy a toothbrush, what do you really want? Clean teeth right? When you buy a drill what do you want? Do you need or want the drill or do you need and want the holes the drill can make? Once you establish that what your offer provides a benefit, then you can begin talking about the features of the product if you need to.

I want to make sure you understand that this can take you some time to learn. It can take some thinking on your part to learn to market to emotions. So to get you started, I'm going to offer you a FREE report that gives you some great training on this simple but essential marketing skill.

Download "22 Secret "Hot Buttoms" That Make Consumers Spend Money Like Crazy"

Using Squidoo to Brand YOU and Get Found

One of the most powerful tools I use to create my brand online and to get the expose I need is Squidoo. If you've not heard of Squidoo or are unfamiliar with what exactly it is, let me give you a quick explanation.

Squidoo comes from the minds of one of the greatest marketing minds around today and a clear leader in online marketer, Seth Godin. Seth Godin is one of the few Internet marketers that has branched out to create a presence in the offline marketing world as well. In fact, you are sure to find many of his popular books in just about any bookstore.

The premise of Squidoo is the idea that everyone is an expert on something. It makes no difference what it is, chances are that you are also an expert on something. Gardening, crafts, baking, making a P-B and J sandwich. It does not matter. Your an expert.

Squidoo is the combination of a small one page blog and a community of average people that are also experts on something. With Squidoo, you can write a page, called a Lens, on just about any subject. At the same time, in the community of itself, you can meet, share, comment on and vote for other people's lenses as well.

I think of it like a big craft fair of IDEAS.

With the basic idea of Squidoo in mind, there is a very powerful business application behind Squidoo as well. If you lean how to apply the basics of good site building and marketing.

You see, the new Internet, called web2.0 is driven by ideas. People sharing ideas and connecting through ideas. Once you begin to understand that, you will begin to understand the new generation of the Internet, web2.0 and attraction marketing.

The real power is also in the fact that since the new generation of the Internet being driven by ideas and sharing ideas. The major search engines like Google feed off of these sites that share and focus on ideas. That's why blogs and sites do so well on the search engines.

From my own example, years ago when I began Internet marketing and affiliate marketing. It took hours of work to create a website and then put in all the steps to insure it ranked well in the search engines. Ranking well on the search engines is very important because even with the most attractive site, if people can't find you, none of that matters one bit.

Even after I created a site and then optimized it for the search engines, known as "search engine optimization" or SEO, I would still need to submit my site to the search engines and then wait weeks to find out how well I ranked to even know if I did a good job. If I didn't do it right, I would need to go back into my site and edit it and try all over again. Let's just say this took a long time. I had success, but it was a huge investment of time.

Today, using Squidoo, I can build a targeted information lens in one evening and see search engine results in less then 2 weeks. In fact at the writing of this post, one of my lenses is #1 on Google and another is #3. Any idea how much exposure being #1, #3 or anywhere in the top 10 can give you?

Why is that important to a networker? Well my goal as a networker is to have the people most interested in my product or business looking at my information. This is so totally different than prospecting to a warm list or to strangers at the mall that they cannot even be compared. When you talk to a co-worker or give your "elevator pitch" to a waiter at your favorite resaurant, how targeted is that?

You might be saying that talking to the waiter at the restaurant is targeted because, what person waiting tables wouldn't what the freedom of owning their own business? That's quite an assumption. As far as you know, that waiter in your favorite restaurant is very happy doing what he's doing. Are you assuming he hates his job or has a crappy job? Shame on you for judging him.

Instead, look at online or search engine marketing. If I sell shoe laces green shoelaces, for example. How targeted would someone be if they found my site because they went online and searched for "green shoelaces". Pretty targeted, would you agree. Now lets say my site, blog or Squidoo page that gave information about my green shoelaces was the #1 site listed on the search engine. How about in the top 5 sites?

If someone goes online and searches for the exact thing I'm selling, how targeted is that? How pre-qualified is that? It's spot on targeted marketing.

So, for that reason, Squidoo is a very powerful marketing tool you can use and the amazing part....it's free. Here is my honest suggestion for you. Learn how to use Squidoo and begin connecting with the people looking for what you have to offer and leave that poor waiter alone. When you start leaving him huge tips, he will want to look at your business.

Click This Link to Discover the Squidoo Profits and learn how to get Squidoo working for you.

What is the True Cost of a Lead?

I decided to create this post after speaking with a number of local networkers I met at a few trade show and expos. You know the drill. A group of networkers get together to go in on a table at a health and wellness expo. It sounds like a great idea and a great way to connect with a lot of new people..right? Well let's look at this method.

What I want to look at is the real cost of doing business or building your business this way. So the first thing I want you to look at is....how much does this really cost you to generate a lead that way? Also, who does it really benefit?

So what is the real cost of using shows to generate a lead

Well there is the cost of the table or booth for the show. The show I just went to recently cost the exhibitors about $600 for a 4 day show.

Then there is the cost of the brochures and maybe a nice display some networkers use so that could run a few hundred. Now we're around $800

If you plan on giving out some samples we can add another couple hundred to the mix. So let's just say that for a large and well attended show, you're looking at about $800 to $1000.

Sounds like a pretty healthy investment. Well it does to me anyway. But did you notice anything missing from that list? What about your time? Is that worth anything? What are you worth per hour?

I met a few networkers that worked a 2 day show alone. Show ran from around 10am to 9pm. Thats 11 hours. Thats a long day. Lets just say the show runs from 9am to 6pm..that's still 9 hours that you will need to be there each day. So what is that time worth? How much do you make an hour while at a show.

You're going to talk to a lot of people and thats good. You will talk to a lot more if your can give out some good samples. Let's be honest. I've worked traded shows for years and I can tell you that people love trade shows for the free samples.

Now let's look at it from cost per lead perspective. That's just for a lead. You still need to convert the lead into a prospect and then into a team member. Im not even going to get into training and retaining this new person into a performer.

If you've every worked a show and made a big investment into a show. How many leads did you get. I mean real leads that actually became a good prospect to looked at your business. I'm going to be real optimistic here and base this on a 50% success rate. So, lets say you end up with 15 good leads a day and half of them turn into good prospects. Now you have 15 prospects and you get half of them to look at the business. Thats 8. Not bad right? I mean your told that you only need 2 or maybe 5 people to build a huge downline...so your set for life after just one show aren't you.

Well let's be honest. If you've been in networking for any length of time, you know that's not the case. Remember, we are still talking about a business that has over a 90% failure rate and of those 8, you can guess that 6 may not do anything or not be around 90 days after they join.

But let's stick with the 8. How much did they cost you to get? Remember, the show, brochures and samples alone ran you at least $800 so those 8 leads cost you $100 each. Also keep in mind, we never really established how much your worth per hour.

So does that still look like a good deal. From your experience as a networker, is a new sign-up worth $100?

If it is, great. Keep it going. If not, I encourage you to look at some of the things I talk about on my blog. Most of what I focus on is free lead generation methods or very low cost lead generation methods.

I want to be honest with you though. There's an investment of time still involved. You need to invest something. As a business person, you have one of two resources. You either have time or money. If you have money, you can continue to invest in lead generation. If you don't have money, your only assest left is time. Time to learn about low cost lead generation and time to invest is working your plan. It's my ongoing objective to introduce these low cost online lead generation tools to you.

Now do you remember my second question, "Who really benefits from marketing your business this way"? Well you might not realize it but it may not be you that's going to benefit.

Why do I say that? Have you ever heard that on average, you need to expose a person to an idea about 7 times before they make a decision on it. So whats the longevity of your display booth or table? Unless that person has already been exposed or knows about your company, you have the honor of being the first..congratulations.

Now just 6 more exposures and they might sign-up. Sorry, chances are it wont be with you. They lost your card, sample or brochure long before they may be ready to take a serious look at your business. The longevity of your booth ends after the show or maybe a few weeks after.

So who benefits? Well if your a good company with a good product and when that person is ready to take a serious look, the company benefits. After all, you are working for them. Make no mistake, your MLM benefits from your work and investment just as they benefit from the efforts of all the other distributors. Of course, the other person that benefits may be another distrubutor they run into, meet or already know that was there at the right time.

You might be asking...OK, so what do you do different. Well, I cover that in many places in my blog but lets just say that my sales message is right at the top of the Google searches 24/7 ready to catch anyone the uses the internet to search for the products my company sells. I also write and publish a number of resources that are found online to catch people right when they might be at a decision point. But we'll get into that another time.

Taking Your MLM Online

It seems that not a day goes by that I don't get an email or speak to a networker that's expressed a desire to begin using the internet, social media and web2.0 to build their networking business. While I always make sure to point out that wether online or offline, there is no magic or secrets to marketing. It's simply understanding the tools, using them to their best intent and being consistant in how you use them.

With that being said, there's one major difference that just about any online or affiliate marketer can agree with. Marketing online is about focus and working within a niche. This can be a major transformation for many networkers and it often means a complete change in how you approach your business.

Let me explain.

In offline marketing of a networking business, a networker puts a great deal of energy into finding new people to share their products with. When a you do find someone that's agreed to give you some time to look at your business or products, it's not uncommon to want to share your entire catalog of products with hopes to find some products of interest. With all the effort put into finding people to talk to about your business or products, who can blame you for wanting to show your entire catalog. I know some networkers that evaluate their business based on how many products they have to offer or celebrate a new addition to their company catalog.

This is where a major difference can be seen between marketing online. The very nature of online maketing is to be targeted and working within a very narrow niche. Simply put, trying to be everything to everyone online will not work. The online community is just to large to even start to be effective that way.

Just look at the way people search for information online. Using search engines to look for information or products is based on keyword searches. This is a very specific search and it's the purpose of the search engines, like Google, to return search results that best match the specific search term used.

What does this mean for you, the networker?

Marketing your products online is about looking at your product line and understanding the benefits of the product. Then it's connecting with the people most interested in that benefit. If you have a large number of products that you offer, this will call for you choosing a primary product or limited number of products as your chosen niche. It's the leverage and power of the internet that allows you to find a large market most interested in the benefit you can provide.

This might sound simple enough, but just how do you begin to connect with your niche target market.

Well, there are several ways. In my next post, I'm going to share one of my favorite free resources for creating high quality and targeted information sites. Using the resource I'm going to share with you, you can begin to establish yourself as an expert in your niche and when done correctly, give you some fantastic search engine position and potential traffic to your niche site.

So, begin to look at your product line and become familiar with the benefits your chosen product offers. Not the features...the benefits. This itself can be an exercise for some new to marketing. When looking at your product, ask yourself "so what". This will help you to determine if what your thinking about is a feature or a benefit.

Free Weekly MLM Lead Generation Webinars

Good Evening Networkers!!!!

This is your weekly reminder of our Free Weekly Webinars for Networkers.

This weeks free webinar is going to begin a series of future webinars on using blogs to grow your business and generate leads. Maybe save you a little time in the process.

I've been trying all sorts of traffic building resources that I imagine clog up your inbox like it does mine. I've tried a bunch of them. Today I looked at what was producing traffic and what was not. I create a Trim url for just about everything I do so I can track my link activity for my sites, affiliate programs, squidoo pages...everything. I wanted one place to look at what was getting traffic and what was not. So I use Tr.im to do this. It's free, check it out. Also a great way to cloak your links.

So there are list builders and I use the standard ListJoe as well as viral URL. Those are safe bets as far as list builders go. I use them and promote them on my main site at http://www.leftlanemarketing.info/.

Then I started using other services...a lot of them. Here is what was actually creating traffic for me. All of these require that you view other member ad unless you are on a paid upgrade membership. You will need to determine what works best for you. What do you have more of...time or money. If you have the money to get the upgrades and buy more traffic, of course that is best. However, if you do not have the money to spend on the upgrade, you will need to block some time to view other member ads.

MillionLeadsForFree - This one kinda surprised me. You need to log in and view 10 other posted ads. Then you are given 5000 credits to post your ad. Once a day. Thats it. Comes with a nice and simple html editor to create your ad. Its simple and I was surprised to see the traffic from this site. Copywriting a good headline is key.

LinkReferral - This one is a bit more involved. You build credits by not only viewing other member sites but you have a list of tasks to maximize the value of your membership. You view 30 websites, give reviews of 5, select a favorite and make a post on the forum. Each part builds ad credits. The good part is that you see a lot of interesting sites and very few are MLM company sites or basic splash pages. There is even a social element as you send site evaluations back and forth and meet other site owners. Its sorta cool to help each other out. You can also pick catagories of interest like travel, pets, sports...all sorts of stuff.

Traffic Bunnies - Huge surprise at the speed you get traffic and the amount. They make it fun to use...sort of a game. They also give you additional tools like the ability to create your own fun splash page for whatever site your promoting. This is one of mine HERE. You can have up to 5 sites and it creates a link that allows you to promote it anywhere. Post it on Twitter if you want....

The key to all of these is that you make it a part of your daily schedule and you commit to doing it. Block out some time and just sit down and do it. Be consistant and you will see results.
That reminds me...Twitter. If you're not using Twitter and building you community there you're missing a huge..massive...explosive resource. Its going to be much harder to build the longer you wait. Why do I say that..those of us that have been there are everywhere and new people will get caught somewhere in our network of followers. One cool thing about tr.im is when I do create a cloaked link there, its hooked up to my twitter so any time I create a new link to an affiliate product or create a new link to anything, I just hit tweet this link and it gets sent to everyone following me. I can also track how many views I get. Its not uncommon to have 10 or more views witin 5 minutes of creating a new link. Its about working smarter my friends.
Almost forgot...you can find me on Twitter at dBroseGroup

One last thing. If your in MLM...please don't fall into the trap of using your company owned website to promote you and your business. Be creative and be an individual...not just another distributor. If nothing else, go to Squidoo and create a page about your business and promote that. You can always put a link to your company website on your Squidoo page. Thats always the last thing I do. Here's an example of my last Squidoo Page I created.

Ok, thats it. Hope it was helpfull. Thought maybe I could save you some time and frustrations.

Evaluating Your Prospecting Methods

Often times, a networker can find themself putting a great deal of effort into builing their business but not see the results they desire or should expect from their efforts. When you begin to see this, perhaps it calls for an evaluation of what it is your doing.

Simply doing more is not always going to be that answer. Doing more of what's not working may end up giving you more of the same results. That's not to say that constantly changing what your doing is the answer either. We all know that being consistant is essential as well. But we should all hope that we're being consistant at being effective. The popular phrase is "Sharpening the Saw" comes to mind. Learning about being effective rather than using tools that are worn or that were broken to begin with can save you a lot of frustration.

So what it was that may be keeping you from sponsoring more people into your business. It comes down to four things:

1. Talking To The Wrong People

When you put your network marketing opportunity in front of people who are "broke", you're talking to the wrong people. Now most people won't tell you they're broke up front, right? Wrong. They will tell you. You just have to make sure you're listening. When your prospect says: "how much is this going to cost me?" instead of: "how much can I make with a business like this?," they just told you!

Are you asking questions and listening to your prospects?

Stop attracting people suffering from the "I'm broke" mentality and start attracting success driven people by changing the way you think about yourself and others. You are not a "rescuer," you're an entrepreneur seeking like minded people. See people as they are, not as you want them to be.

2. Rising Above The Noise

There are a lot of distributors out there but few leaders. If the right prospects are not responding to you, then it's likely because you're failing to "rise above the noise." Every day prospects are bombarded by offer after offer in their inbox. They see ad after ad online. Most prospects suffer from serious information overload. They're so overwhelmed with "choices" they don't know what to do, so many do nothing at all - or worse, they "throw the dice" and land in a bad business. This represents real opportunity for you as a professional networker and as a leader. An opportunity to rise above the crowd and take your prospect by the hand and introduce them to YOU and a "REAL" business.

Learning about the principles of Attraction Marketing can aid you in this area. Information sells. Do something to educate your prospects and not just pitch them. An essential element of attraction marketing is to openly share information and demonstrate what sort of sponsor your going to be for them. Educating new networkers or existing networkers is a great way to share your special knowledge and by you delivering something other than a sales pitch to prospects, you may very well postion yourself as an expert that they want to join.

When you also can learn to interact with your prospect as a "consultant" rather than a sales person, you immediately set yourself apart. By educating your prospect and helping them ask the questions they should be asking, (but don't know to ask) it's easy to rise above the fray and position yourself as a professional in the mind of your prospect. Prospects WANT to work with someone who has genuinely helped them, and who will continue to help them get to where they want to be.

3. Following Up

Life is busy. Once you've made contact with your prospect, is natural to assume they are carefully considering your opportunity and that those who don't get back with you are simply not "interested" or are not "serious." In a perfect world, this might be a safe assumption. Unfortunately, we do not live in a perfect world. We live in a world of distractions. Family issues, car problems, kid problems, you nameit. So follow-up with your prospect. Don't chase, but DO make it a point to follow-up. Don't rely on only one method, test several: phone, email, even a card. I also recommend using an autoresponder in your business. That way, if it's simply a "timing issue", your system continues to drip on them till the timing is right.
4. Finding QUALIFIED prospects to put your business in front of.

This is a challenge for MANY networkers. Eventually, you will run out of our "warm market" (and some don't even want to go there to begin with). So the question becomes, WHERE do we find people?

Many turn to buying "leads," and end up losing a lot of money because of all the "garbage" out there in the lead industry. Others try to create prospects of their own through advertising (but this can also be a costly gambit). Savvy networkers learn ways to generate "THEIR OWN" leads through low-cost and even no-cost methods. There are several interesting ways to do that.
Imagine enjoying an never-ending flow of prospects week after week, and knowing it's not costing you a dime to acquire them! How cool is that? I plan to share some of these methods with you in future posts but you can also learn about some of these method which I discuss in greater detail on my website.

In the meantime, here are a few resources to get you started.

To learn about Attraction Marketing and how you can use it to build your business, here is a good place to start.

To learn about generating pre-qualified leads, here is a great place you can go every week to learn about that. Free Weekly Lead Generation Webinars.

My Current Free Offer

I like gifts...

And I always like to offer something of value to reward you, my visitor, when you subscribe to my Free newsletter at Left Lane Marketing. Exloring and defining your niche is more possible than ever because in the web2.0 world you can instantly connect with a global community interested in what you have to say, share, show and promote.

Unlike the "old school" network marketing where trying to be everything to eveyone and just hoping to find someone that would be interested in something you had to offer. With online network marketing, being an expert in one defined product or area is often the best approach

But before I tell you where I'm going with the blog...let me tell you where I've been. Maybe some of this will sound familiar to you.

I've seen to many good people build hopes and dreams on network marketing. Usually leaving only after a few months gaining frustration and a closet full of product...along with a smaller bank account.

I began to see a obvious disconnect between what many network marketing companies offered new distributors and what these new distributors needed. More often than not, people come to network marketing because they're looking to get more of two things in their life. More money and time freedom. However, most of the time, their Uplines told them that if they really wanted to be successful at network marketing, they needed to buy the super-duper starter pack (usually called the "business builder" pack) and attend every meeting they could get to. In short, their Uplines were asking to give up the very two things that did not have enough of to begin with. Money & Time.

I don't mind telling you that I never found the success I had hoped for in network marketing. I tried everything I was told to do but never saw the results I wanted. I left network marketing with less money and more frustration than before I started. I left feeling that I had failed. That I had failed because I did not work hard enough. I was not used to failing and I've had success in most all other areas of my life. It was not a good feeling.

I began internet marketing and found my home there. It was nice to go to my mail box every other week and find checks along with my usual bills. I quickly learned that...yes, internet marketing does work. It works well.

Recently, a I noticed a change in the online world. Well, in reality, it was impossible to not notice it. The explosion of social media and the growth of web2.0 has taken the world by storm and the way people share ideas and information, they way they connect and build relationships and the way the world meets has changed forever. It has also opened the door for the true nature of network marketing and made it better. The internet can be about building relationships but these relationships are built, from the start, on common interests. These relationships are not just someone that works in your office, you met at you kids soccer practice or you know because they are the receptionist at your dentists office. No, these are people you meet because you share a common central interest.
