1) Spektre - Lift Us Up Remix

Spektre's Paul Maddox and Filthy Rich came together through a bond over minimalism but have proven through releases on dozens of esteemed labels that they aren't afraid to experiment with different genres either. Their take on "Lift Us Up" exemplifies this penchant for experimentation and explosive creativity by matching m.0's technical foundation with transcendental production that pushes this track into the dreamlike crossroads of progressive house, techno, trance, and neo-rave minimalism. In the words of James Zabiela, "Spektre's productions consist of solid techno that really remembers the rave." In this remix, emotive energy is harnessed and then unleashed in an expertly controlled yet still completely epic dancefloor breakdown.

2) Nerd Revolt - Lift Us Up Remix

Lift Us Up gets the Nerd Revolt treatment with this deep tech-house remix that honors the dark and intense energy of the original. As one half of Nerd Revolt, m.0 plunges his production into deep space with the help of co-pilot the iLL F.O. (Catherine Jade). This hypnotic deviation thumps with percussive glitch, gong-like reverberations, and tonal washes that bring out the otherworldly atmosphere of the track. The darkly magnetic and yet soulful energy of the original is transformed into a quirky, ultra-cool, west-coast jam complete with glitched-out bleeps and smooth, buttery synths. Better than chocolate layer cake, this remix serves up seductively echoed slices of m.0's smooth vocals layered one over another and oozing with a perfectly thick slathering of irresistibly rich bass. 1) Phil Western - Red Eyes

Without question, techno for the brain and food for the dark soul. Acid bass forms the substratum of this multi-layered and nefarious confection. Lucidly natural yet mind-bendingly complex, the progression of the tune carries with it a theatrical sense of rising action complimented by those analog loop tweaks that are so classically "Philth." Kaleidoscopic richness on the vox give this track a transgendered nature that exemplifies the deviant and experimental nature of this artist's work. Helter-skelter vibes tiptoe on the periphery of psychosis, but keeps it grooving with warm pads and psychedelic ambient washes. Dilated yet focused, soothing and unnerved, "Red Eyes" rides the edge between the conscious and subconscious with well processed sampling that seems to come from the vault of a long-lost age, creating a sense of delightful bewilderment.

2) Phil Western - Stalker

Phil sets an ominous tone in this deep and nasty techno thriller by creating the hair-raising feeling of being pursued. Experimental loops of field recordings combine forces with a menacing bass line that just won't quit as it continues to creep deep into the mix. Resonant stabs emerge and then submerge beneath icy synth squalls for an unnerving and chilly blast of sordid funk that will leave you shuddering with late-night dance floor satisfaction. As this harrowing track gathers steam and closes in on it's prey, it illustrates how good techno is truly greater than the sum of its parts. Prepare to be disturbed as "Stalker" will have you breathing down someone's neck in no time.

3) Let's Go Outside - Stalker Remix

Where the original has an immediacy that hunts you down, the Let's Go Outside's rework exudes a sense of audio voyeurism that watches your every move from a calculated distance. Vibration and resonance take center stage from the get-go with a booming sub that undulates with intensity. No nonsense drum programming is layered with distorted and diced vocal samples to create a pumping break that hits like nitrous oxide, taking the track to the next level of throb. Additional sample work provides an unsettling sense of depth filled by metallic jangles, disturbed whispers, and heavy breathing. A deliciously perplexing and consciously complex track that sets a spooky mood for brooding techno groovers.

Red Eyes - A throbbing banger! The story in this track is amazing... it starts off on planet x and lands on planet wtf.

Matt Bagshaw, aka Mynus, indisputably throws it down in LA and is currently capturing the attention of DJs, dancers, and producers alike on the west coast and beyond, such as his ace remixers on this release, Noah Pred and Angel Alanis. Pred, the insanely talented individual behind Thoughtless Music, and Alanis, a dj and producer on some of the world's most prominent labels and founder of A-squared Muzik, each coax "Follow Me" in divergent yet beguiling directions.

1) Follow Me - Original mix
This smart and filthy little thumper opens with a seemingly innocent house rhythm that cleanly ricochets through a sense of polished vastness provided by the depth of the sputtering stabs and echoed vox. Gusts of techno raindrops spatter your dome and penetrate to the core, melting hard edges and warming up for some serious tech-house hijinks. Relentless energy threatens to burst through every seam and stitch as the track progresses, yet a tightly-buttoned and spit-polished aesthetic harnesses the delicious tension, setting up for a depraved and hedonistic release of unbridled filthy bass that gives new meaning to the word "gratification." Consider yourself warned: the bassline will have you feeling downright dirty, but refreshing arcade-like showers of sound and an expertly placed sprinkle of glitch on the vox has a cleansing effect, washing away all evidence of your dirty bass-driven compulsions.

2) Follow Me - Noah Pred Remix

3) Follow Me - Angel Alanis Remix
Angel Alanis proves that something doesn't have to be complicated to be intoxicating. This version of "Follow Me" simply oozes elemental techno sickness as Alanis excavates layers of sound by digging deep into the track and stripping away excess until he's left with one solid gem of a remix. Like a hot piece that "cleans up real nice," this remix has a ruggedly seductive edge due to the simmering, bassy tom booms and lazered edges. The progression builds steadily and then unfolds with origami-like precision; the sampling is neat, like surgery, with exacting strokes that gush forth with a meticulous and flowing groove leading to a squealing, gratifying breakdown.

With a taut and stormy bassline that severely thumps and just the right amount of gloomy, brooding, sinister synths, Mynus pulls ears and minds into a pounding vortex of minimal drama that is both menacing and electrified. 'The Unasampler' puts the best of both worlds into one startlingly explosive little package. ISH [Mynus]
Without question, a dark and dirty dance track for dirty dancing nightcrawlers. However, with this minimal techno sparkplug the devil is in the details.
