The colors of summer can instantly put you in a brighter mood, and that type of vibrant beauty has been captured in the Essie ‘Tangerine Tease’ Summer 2021 Limited Edition Collection.  The nail polish line is filled with six shades to quench your manicure thirst, including two yellow hues, an electric blue, punchy pink, juicy green, and its namesake found in a citrus-y tangerine.

To amplify an already fun collection, Essie teamed up with Scünci for some summer hair accessories (pictured above)!  You should be able to find scrunchies and headbands, in colors and prints that match the line, at your local drugstores – or wherever Essie products are sold.

I truly could not get enough of this collection, and have been waiting to share it with you. Please read on to get a up-close view of all the summery goodness!

Zest Has Yet To Come

Zest Has Yet to Come — This is a sun-sational bright metallic mustard that was one of the colors I was interested in trying the most.  The application wasn’t so bad for me, probably because my nails are short right now and the brush is wide, but there is potential for streaking.

The formula is rich, I could have gotten away with 1 coat.

Feelin’ Just Lime

Feelin’ Just Lime — If you’re looking for the perfect bright summer green, look no further than this lime creme!  Fair warning, this dried a bit darker than the bottle shade. 

Pucker Up

Pucker Up — I’m in love with this bright pink metallic, and I’m not usually a big fan of pink hues.  The formula and finish is the same as Zest Has Yet to Come.

Tangerine Tease

Tangerine Tease — As the namesake of the collection, I was expecting this shade to really stand out… and it does!  This is a bright creme, which is the exact shade of a tangerine.  It’s a great color with a beautiful formula, and it’s going into heavy rotation for me as it’s a good transition into fall too.

Juicy Details

Juicy Details — This blue creme doesn’t come with any noteworthy details, but it’s very pretty and I love the formula.  I really think the name and visual speaks for themselves — it’s juicy.

Get Your Grove On

Get Your Grove On — I saved this stunner for last because it’s truly the gem of the collection, for me.  The shine.  The vibrancy.  The shade.  I’m not sure if it’s actually a traditional summer color for most people, but I think it’s flattering for a variety of complexions and a year-rounder, so I can’t imagine anyone not wanting this beauty part of your personal collection.  The formula was great too!

VERDICT: Overall, I was sunshine vibin’ on this one!  A lot of summer collections usually opt for the same color board… neons, a mixture of brights and pastels, etc… but this one just screamed tropical breeze to me.  I loved the duality of both a citrus and a summer atmosphere palette.  The formulas were good across the board and the shades pretty much work for everyone, in my opinion.

Product Review

I have been singing Florence + the Machine’s “Cosmic Love” all day in excitement of showing off my review of three of the prettiest polishes in all of the galaxy!  Recently I told you about the new ZOYA Limited Edition Cosmic Pop Trio nail polish collection — and now I have a full swatch review ready to truly show you how pretty they are!

Inspired by star clusters in outer space, the three holographic shades were created with a blend of metallic glitter, and holographic particles in 5 different sizes to capture a constellation of color and light with a soft textured finish.

Celestia

Celestia — A light silver with a pink and blue fleck shift. This is a really good color for the winter season due to the shimmer of the silver and blue.  I like the polish itself, but because of the blue contrast, I think it washed out my olive-tan complexion.  This is 3 coats for coverage.

Polaris

Polaris — A tan/nude hue filled with flecks of pink, purple, and a gold base.  This is perfect if you’re looking for a lot of shimmer, but not much color — although it does look slightly orange in certain light.

Eradani

Eradani — This is a gorgeous fuchsia packed with blue and pink flecks, which give off a color shift that looks like you have a moving galaxy of stars on your nails!   I figured this was going to be my favorite when I saw the promotional photos, and it didn’t disappoint.

The formula was slightly thick due to all of the glitter, but it gave good coverage.

VERDICT: The Cosmic Pop trio are all beautiful colors filled with a galaxy blast of sparkle, and that’s always a win in my book.  The light colors took more to build up so the polish ends up being a bit thick, and I personally don’t love that, but I would still recommend these. My favorite is Eradani!

The BTS x McDonald’s collaboration officially launches with a signature BTS Meal arriving at McDonald’s locations around the globe along with the highly-anticipated merchandise collection.

The brand new BTS x McDonald’s merch line drops at 7 p.m. EST tonight (5 a.m. KST) on the Weverse Shop app. Including dynamite threads like hats, Sweet Chili and Cajun sauce tote bags, hoodies, purple bathrobes, socks and sandals, stickers, AirPod cases, keychains, pens and more, this collection is inspired by some of the hand-picked menu items from the band’s signature order.

Maria Bakalova got ready for the red carpet in style!

While prepping her red carpet look with a stellar glam team (stylist Jessica Paster and hairstylist Kelsey Deenihan Fisher) for the 2021 Oscars, the Best Actress in a Supporting Role nominee dressed comfortably in a custom BY SAMII RYAN “Everyday” hoodie and sweatpants in a light bone color.

The cozy lounge set featured Maria’s character name, Tutar, in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm star.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been a fan of lounge sets and have been practically living in them for the last year while working at home.  I recently discovered BY SAMII RYAN, and have fallen in love with all of the adorable uplifting designs.

It was cool to see the line make its way to the Oscars in this big yet small way!
