MY VERDICT: It was almost as if “Once Upon a Time” star Jennifer Morrison was still riding off of her punked out mood from the MET Gala earlier this month when she turned up at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. The 34-year-old actress stepped out on the blue carpet wearing a very daring dress contraption by Kristian Aadnevik.

Jen wore a racy black bustier corset bodysuit from Aadnevik’s Fall 2013 collection with an attached sheer chiffon floor-length skirt. Due to the barely there fabric, I have no doubt that Jennifer was comfortable in the Las Vegas heat. I know I should probably say that her dress needed to be lined, but I think that would have taken away from the look severely. I only wish that the fabric of the skirt had been a little darker so that it didn’t come off as sheer, because otherwise it’s just one of those thins that looks better on the runway. Overall, this design reminds me a little bit of the gown that Kristen Stewart wore to the “Breaking Dawn: Part 2″ premiere last year—but, in black. Could that have been the beginning of a new red carpet trend?

This look was complete with edgy black diamond jewelry, partially pinned cascading waves, a pink pout, and black accessories including her pumps and a Edie Parker acrylic box clutch.

MY VERDICT: Jennifer shined brightly on the blue carpet for the Billboard Music Awards in a soft pink satin EDITION by Georges Chakra gown. The Sugarland singer selected this Spring 2013 scuba-cut design, which features a pretty gold chevron sequin pattern panel down the left side of her leg that’s framed by silver sequin detail traveling throughout the waist and back.

The dress is very pretty, but the problem with this kind of fabric is that there can be a lot of bunching that occurs pretty easily. I wish Jennifer had a smoother fit around the midsection because she looked so lovely in this gown. There’s also an extra panel of lining poking out through the sleeveless opening of her bodice that wasn’t seen on the model. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be there or not, but I wish it wasn’t.

Jen wore her blonde tresses loosely swept up and pinned, before completing her look with a makeup palette made up of soft rose tones and an assortment of delicate, sparkling diamond Norman Silverman fine jewelry.

MY VERDICT: I honestly thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I saw Ke$ha on the livestream during the red blue carpet arrivals for the Billboard Music Awards. The “Crazy Kids” singer topped my worst dressed list for last year due to her assortment of oddly put together printed ensembles, but she somehow managed to almost completely clean up her look at this one ceremony.

Ke$ha wore a black silk ruffled Givenchy sleeveless dress, from the Spring 2013 collection that was originally presented with a single sleeve and partnered with pants on the runway. She wore her long blonde hair back in a sleek ponytail to accommodate the high neck design—with an equally high slit at the left thigh.

I don’t see that many ruffles and tight fabric around the neck being too flattering, or comfortable for that matter, on anyone—along with the shapeless area around the waist. That’s probably my biggest qualm with the look; it’s not so much how Ke$ha looks in it as it is the fact that I’m not a big fan of the dress. Because, quite frankly, she was styled pretty well here.

She accessorized with two Palladium rings that matched her delicate bangles and diamond earrings. This look was then complete with a subtle neutral makeup palette and nude ankle strap leather sandals.

MY VERDICT: Jennifer Lopez wore head-to-toe gold to the Billboard Music Awards. Naturally. The “Live It Up” singer (which, bee-tee-dubbs, I’ve had that song on repeat all weekend) wowed on-lookers when she hit the blue carpet wearing a Zuhair Murad gold halter gown with a plunging neck and an intricate pattern of hand-beaded feathers that sporadically splatter into a sheer skirt. This daring dress comes from the designer’s Spring 2013 Haute Couture collection.

I wasn’t shocked, but I wasn’t let down either. This is what JLO does—and she does it well. There are few women that I feel could truly pull this gown off but, thankfully, she is one of them. In fact, Jen is the highest on the list.

She wore her long honey-highlighted tresses back off her neck before completing the look with bronze makeup, diamond jewelry, gold Christian Louboutin ankle strap pointed toe pumps, and a matching box clutch.

MY VERDICT: Taylor made quite the sparkling arrival on the blue carpet for the Billboard Music Awards in a gorgeous Zuhair Murad long sleeve beaded mini dress. The Pre-Fall 2013 design includes a sexy sheer paneled back to match the little razor sharp insets all over the shattered pattern.

I certainly wouldn’t say this is something new from the “22″ singer. In fact, she pretty much wore this same concept at the American Music Awards last fall. But, having said that, she still looks great as this style generally works for her. This also happens to be one of those dresses that I imagine would look beautiful short or full length—it’s just that good.

Hey–at least she didn’t wear black, white, gold or red.

Taylor wore her long hair back in a ponytail and accessorized with sapphire jewelry. She wore pewter platform “Suki” sandals by Jimmy Choo. I like the heels, but I prefer the ankle strap style worn by the model. Cat-lined eyes and pink lips completed her look.

MY VERDICT: Could Miley be the best dressed star at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. Probably. No, definitely. The 20-year-old singer, who will be debuting her new single “We Can’t Stop” this summer, looked amazing in a white crochet sleeveless Balmain jumpsuit with glittering black diamond panels at the chest and legs, as well as a cutout version in the center of the back.

This Spring 2013 design has been a long-time favorite of mine, so I was already excited about her wearing it–but, I was thrilled to see it done justice. I love a good jumpsuit and this design is sick. The androgynous rock star vibe suited Miley’s swept pixie cut.

She accessorized with diamond studded jewelry and a black pair of Givenchy ankle strap sandals with shark tooth clasp detail. Smoky eyes and a matte red lip for a pop of color were the perfect finishing touches.

Overall? Miley killed it. It was a huge improvement over last year’s look.

MY VERDICT: Stana added fuel to my jumpsuit obsession at the Billboard Music Awards when she rocked the red blue carpet in a sleeveless one piece by Nicholas Oakwell Couture. The “CBGB” star opted for a white jumpsuit with silver beaded detailing, a mirrored honeycomb belt–and a daring plunging neckline. This non-presented look comes from the designer’s Spring 2013 line.

Considering such a form fitting top, I love how the pants are tailored with a bit of a wide leg. It creates a cool balance, and almost makes it seem laid back despite how glamorous it truly is. This jumpsuit flawlessly fit Stana like a glove.

It also inspired me to hit the gym immediately. I mean, seriously.

Stana accessorized with diamond and emerald jewels from Vhernier, before completing her look with intense black lined eyes, a glossy nude pout, a dark green manicure, and voluminous shoulder length curls. What do you think of her shorter locks?

MY VERDICT: Selena was one of the first to hit the blue carpet at the Billboard Music Awards where she is set to perform her new single “Come and Get It”. The 20-year-old “Spring Breakers” star opted for a daring white floor length dress from the Atelier Versace Spring 2013 collection with sheer spiraling illusion panels at the front and back and fluorescent bordering trim in pink, lime, and yellow. I wouldn’t label this as one of my favorite looks from her, but it’s a fun dress–very futuristic, and as one of my readers pointed out–it’s totally reminiscent of the wardrobe in the 1999 Disney Channel movie “Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century”.

Then again, it also looks like she’s wearing a bunch of glow sticks.

I like that Selena wore her long ombré tresses back in a sleek ponytail, but unfortunately the front straying pieces were too mussed up. Dramatic lined eyes, a matte pink pout, and a pair of silver metallic strappy Jimmy Choo platform sandals helped complete her look. Part of me wishes she had worn a shoe that incorporated one of the colors in her dress.

MY VERDICT: Nieves took the red carpet by storm for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian)” in her custom Ralph & Russo gown. The statuqesque beauty posed in a raspberry organza strapless couture gown with an intense rosé gold panel at the left side. I love really dramatic dresses on the red carpet that also flatter the body, and that’s exactly what Nieves presented here. The design was so unique, and she looked stunning in it.

As it turns out, Nieves asked designers Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo to create her gown for the gala–and, boy, did they deliver. “It was an absolute pleasure working alongside Nieves. She asked us to create a chic, romantic gown for her return to Cannes that epitomised the glamour and charm of the internationally renowned festival. Nieves exudes a natural elegance and beauty and embodies the essence of the Ralph & Russo woman,” Ralph and Russo explained.

Beautiful and elegant, indeed.

To compliment the gold mirrored detail at her hip, Nieves accessorized with metallics–including a spike-embellished oval minaudière and strappy sandals by Christian Louboutin. She then completed her look with flawless makeup, pretty wavy tresses, and sparkling diamonds from Chopard. This was one of my favorite overall looks from the premiere.

MY VERDICT: Eliza flaunted her curves when she hit the black carpet for the annual CW Network Upfront presentation to celebrate the line-up for the Fall-Winter television season. The Australian beauty, who will be starring on the new drama “The Hundred”, wore a tomato-red form fitting crepe cocktail dress by Narciso Rodriguez. The color looked amazing against Eliza’s skin and cascading golden curls; although it was a classic silhouette without any frills, it perfectly suited Eliza for the daytime event.

She accessorized with delicate gold jewelry that went well with her shoe of choice–metallic snakeskin “Labrea” sandals from B Brian Atwood in silver, gold and rose gold. Shimmering smoky eyes and a glossy nude pout completed her look.
