• The FEI Tribunal has come to a verdict in the positive doping case of Isabell Werth’s Whisper. The sentence is a six month suspension from all competitions. The official sentence started with the provisional suspension on 23rd June 2009 and will last till 22nd December 2009.
• The FEI President Princess Haya recently met with Germany’s public television groups, ARD and ZDF, over the impact of doping on equestrian sports.  The talks were held after a year in which banned substances were found in several jumping and dressage horses, six of them at the 2008 Olympics.  The German television networks provide extensive prime time coverage of equestrian sports, but are reported to have warned of significant cuts in broadcast commitments unless the doping issue is dealt with effectively.
• Proposals for sweeping changes to the format of dressage competition and the way the sport is judged were unveiled at an open forum during the European Championships at Windsor.  Listen in for the complete story.
• Lendon Gray, executive director of the Dressage Foundation has set a fund to develop USA Emerging Dressage Star Program and there is an immediate need to raise $15,000 to start the program which will include ongoing fundraising.
