Here is one of the more seemingly reasonable mazes they could include in the activity book.

This maze is related to the scene right at the beginning of Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace when Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan were sent to negotiate with the Trade Federation to end the blockade around Naboo.

Does anyone in the Star Wars universe like protocol droids?

It’s entirely reasonable for this maze that the droid might need to navigate a maze like ship to get from point A to point B, but why would the protocol droid need to avoid the battle droids?

Aren’t they on the same ship programmed to be on the same team? It doesn’t seem like the battle droids just go off and do what they want without orders.

Some of the mazes include something to be avoided, but this one it doesn’t seem to make any sense for the person to have to avoid battle droids who are supposed to be on the same team.

I guess even other droids find the protocol droids annoying.

Knocking off is a website that posts a lot of funny bootleg products from a wide variety of sources. Anything that is a blatant trademark infringement seems to be fair game on this website and they have plenty of really good examples posted on their blog.

The site is run by Robert Cop and Special Man, knock offs of Robocop and Superman if you needed to know who they were knock offs of.

The most notable categories they have on their website include video games, products, movies and TV. Don’t worry, they have a toy category to and the toy category has more than double of the entries the 2nd highest category has in it

I don’t even think I can describe knock off toys they have showing there. There are plenty of toys which are combinations of two or more things that you just have to see to believe.

Unfortunately, it’s been a while since I have posted one of these because I have been busy. Not much of a page of the week.

Anyway, this is the first non-maze activity I have posted. The mazes were just so much more fun, but there were others like this one that weren’t mazes and quite funny.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace introduced many fans to the midi-chlorians which were microscopic organisms that lived in people’s cells.

According to the Star Wars Wikia, a normal human has about 2,500 per cell and the highest one known belonged to Anakin Skywalker with over 20,000.





Now here is the activity, the midi-chlorian count. You have to count how many midi-chlorians Qui-Gon found in Anakin’s blood.

The answer is 74.

Again, the wiki page talks about how the testing was prone to fault and how Wil Jhonems, the marketing guy for Spotts Tradechip Company who makes the tradechips, stated that the concept of midi-chlorians is unclear to them. They don’t know what they are looking for so they probably multiplied the reading or just gave a random number just to sell more units.

This is Anakin with a 74 midi-chlorian count.

Small World Toys has recalled 4,000 Ryan’s Room brand Spin-A-Mals Farm and Spin-A-Mals Safari puzzles because of a choking hazard. The boards have wooden pegs in them to hold the gears and animal shaped pieces. These pegs can become loose, fall out and if a child puts it in their mouth they can choke.

These toys are for children over 12 months in age, or over 1 year old, but fortunately no injuries were reported. The only thing reported was that the pegs were falling out.

They were sold at various toy stores from May 2012 to October 2012 and they were being sold for $25.

The only remedy for the toy is a replacement, hopefully better made than those ones.

There was a recall on an egg-shaped toy instrument last week. The Basic Beat egg-shaker was recalled because the top of the egg is actually glued on and it can come apart from the egg. A child could choke on such a small piece if they put it in their mouth.

They are not to be mistaken for candy or chocolate eggs you get at Easter.

Only 6,500 of them were actually sold and they were available for sale in five colors: purple, yellow, blue, green and red. This doesn’t help the association with Easter.

They were made in China and sold at various music websites and stores as with Amazon.com between July 2012 and October 2012.

If you want to get a free replacement, you can contact West Music and get a free replacement, but there is little point in getting a refund since they were only $1.50.

They would be a terrible idea to use in an Easter egg hunt.

A large number of electric battery-operated scooters were recalled by Dynacraft BSC Inc. for a sudden-acceleration problem. The sudden acceleration could cause kids to fall off and injure themselves when unprepared for the sudden acceleration.

About half of the recalled scooters were sold from Toys R Us from October 2012 till January 2013 and had Hello Kitty decor on them. They were made between September 10 and December 3. The model number on the scooters is 8801-03.

The other half of the recalled scooters were an item sold at Wal-Mart. The scooters had Monster High graphics and were made between October 5 and November 7 with the model number 8801-14. These models were sold between November 2012 and January 2013.

Some minor injuries were reported in the form of bloody noses and bruises. People should stop using the scooters and return them for a full refund or store credit.

I was running short on time this weekend due to a minor problem. Unfortunately, my PlayStation 3 seems to be on its last leg and probably won’t work much longer, at least with any games. I ended up spending the day transferring the files from my old PlayStation 3 to my new one, with the help of my brother, so I went with an easy one this week.

The first page of the week I posted was about the Death Star Exhaust Shaft being far more complicated in the activity than in the movie and now I know why.

It’s no wonder the Death Star Exhaust shaft was interpreted the way it was by the rebel intelligence guys.

Luke: “Ben, you want me to do what? I only found out about the force today.”

I doubt Luke would have stopped the Death Star there under these conditions, but if he did, Darth Vader would have the unfortunate task of telling the Emperor.

Here is this week’s Star Wars Friends of the Force Page of the Week entry. Yeah, it’s another maze, but they are the funniest because they are so unrealistic for what they are trying to portray.

This would probably make a really funny Flash game like the Labyrinth Flash Game Challenger, but then again, most of these mazes would. I got a lot of comments that the Labyrinth Flash Game Challenger was tough so I think this one would be even worse. If you haven’t played it yet, you can play it here.

It wasn’t a great one this week, still kind of funny, but I had a busy week and was low on time.

One of the big reasons I started this website was to find and show the most interesting, funny or stupid cheap toys you might see at dollar and discount stores.

I have found some really good bootleg toys, some of which were good enough(or bad enough) to be included in Cracked.com’s article “The 15 Most Unintentionally Hilarious Bootleg Toys“(#6 and #3). Thanks for finding them Cole Gamble.

Unfortunately, I haven’t found as many good ones as I had hoped and other responsibilities have kept me from posting on a regular basis the past couple years. This is something I am hoping to rectify now that I’m not that busy and I have some pretty good funny toys in the post cue, but if you want to see a bunch of weird toys, go to the Weirdo Toys website.

The website owner and author is Justin Gammon and the site is just post after post of really weird toys.

Some of the weird toys I sort of recognize due to some resemblance of characters I know are He-Man, Transformers, Batman, Robin and a combination Superman/Batman/Spiderman toy that is just like the City Nimrods and the Super Hero Batman action figures I posted earlier and he even has the stupid chest light.

His website also has a video section to show off some of the weird toys and he has an auction section where you can buy some of the weird toys he is selling to have your own weird toy to call your own.

I don’t really sell anything because with the cheap dollar store toys, anything more than a dollar would be too much, although it would be interesting to see if I could get more than a dollar for some of them.

This maze is probably supposed to be from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace when Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn were getting Queen Amidala off Naboo. They were being attacked and sent the astromech droids to fix stuff.

They aren’t much help.

The introduction mentions that it’s good to have some astromech droids on your ship in case you get lost and you are supposed to use the droids to get through the complex maze.

Well, compared to the other mazes this one is quite complex, but mentioning having them on board the ship implies the maze is the layout of the ship.

But this layout looks somewhat familiar to me, perhaps not something that might seem familiar to a Star Wars fan who doesn’t like Star Trek. It seems to me the maze looks a lot like a Borg Cube from Star Trek.

The maze could apply to looking at any of the six sides of the Borg Cube and it’s just as complex. That isn’t a Naboo ship you’re navigating through.

I wonder how an astromech droid would do against a Borg drone. R2-D2 and C3PO didn’t do too well against the Cylons from the old timey Battlestar Galactica series.

Then again, R2 can seem to hack anything.
