I had wanted to do this post to celebrate one of my favorite holidays, Halloween. I don't have a lot to celebrate right now. My computer died last night. I'm using my cousin's computer to write this message. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm going to see if my laptop can be fixed inexpensively. If not, I'm going to have to get a new one before I start back in college the first of the year. I really didn't need this new expense. I'm not going to be able to be online much right now since I don't have my own computer. I'm going to have to take a break from the blogging world. This will be my last post for right now. I'm not going to be able to check out your blogs either for awhile. I'm so sorry about everything. I'll miss you guys so much. I'm hoping to be back as soon as I can. Take care. André Benjamin Is One Of A Kind

André Benjamin, also known by his stage name of André 3000, is one of my favorite entertainers out there today. He's half of my one of my favorite hip hop acts, OutKast. Their hit singles include Ms. Jackson and Hey Ya!. He's also an actor, appearing in films like Be Cool and Four Brothers. André has his own clothing label called Benjamin Bixby. I'm always intrigued to see what André will be wearing. He's definitely one of my favorite style icons of today. He's one of a kind. I love his sense of style. He has so many wonderful looks. André is his own man. He doesn't try to conform to the standards of others. That's a good thing in my book. I hope you enjoy these photos of André in action. Let me know what you think.

What Is It About A Man With a Mustache

Are you a fan of mustaches/moustaches (both are correct spellings)? I hear a lot of mixed reaction from both men and women on this. Some love them, while others don't. Growing up I always considered mustaches something very manly. When you were able to grow facial hair, it was something you did. It was a sign of being a man. Not every man in my family had facial hair, but many of them did. I would see a lot of men with either just a mustache or they would pair it with a beard or a goatee.

Then it was like one day a man was not suppose to have any hair on his face. His skin was to be as smooth as a baby's bottom. I knew guys who revolted against this and kept their facial hair. I've noticed over the last few years that facial hair is making a comeback. Maybe it's not everywhere, but it sure has around these parts. Plus there are many male Hollywood celebs who are ditching the razor and showing off what God gave them.

I'll admit that I haven't always had facial hair. I shaved for years. I do have it now. I'll change it up depending on my mood and the season. I'm not saying every man should have it. It doesn't make you any less of a man not to have a mustache or something else. It hasn't always been culturally acceptable around the world throughout the ages. Some religions approve of it, while there are others that want you clean shaven. Some women love a man with facial hair, while there are other women who can't stand it. Plus depending on your job, it isn't always allowed. I'm pretty much a live and let live guy about it. I do know that personally I love it.

So what are your thoughts on facial hair on a man? Do you like it? If you're a man, do you have any sort of facial hair? How does your significant other react to it? P.S. I know it's been awhile since I've blogged. I've been tied up with getting things sorted out for going back to college. I did want to get a new post up here. Thursday & Friday I will go around to your blogs to leave some comments for those you've left on my last couple of posts. I wanted to let you guys know the good news. I took the math placement tests for college this morning. I scored high enough that I can go into Math 80, which is basically Introduction to Algebra. That's the last course right before College Algebra. It's actually the class I was hoping to get into. I'm no math whiz at all. I didn't do great in math years ago. I actually surprised myself that I did as well today as I did. I was nervous that I would end up in more of a remedial math class. I wanted to get into this particular course because it would be a great way to learn more about the subject material before getting into the harder course. That way maybe it might not be as much of a struggle now. Early registration for the next semester is on November 3rd. Classes will start in January. I had wanted to let you guys know. I'm so happy and thrilled. I know I've got a long road ahead of me, but today was a big weight off my chest. Thanks for all your support. I appreciate it.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Had A Blockbuster Summer

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has certainly grown up. He was one of the stars of the television comedy 3rd Rock from the Sun back in his teens. He shed that image with critically acclaimed roles in films such as Mysterious Skin and Brick. This summer he starred in the blockbuster film Inception. P.S. I wanted to keep you guys updated with what's going on in my life. I went yesterday to my local community college. I am going back to school this upcoming spring semester. I will be a returning student since I went to this particular school years ago. Quite a few of the courses I once took still count and will transfer so I won't have to retake them. I do have to take the math placement test. I'm not looking forward to that. I was never good in math at all. I hate to think of how much I've forgotten now. I'm taking it in a couple of weeks. The first of November is early registration for the next semester. I did quality for financial aid so my tuition and books will be covered. I'm both scared and excited. I never thought I would be going back to college again. I do know that I've always regretted that I never finished before. I've never been able to get that great of jobs due to only having a high school diploma. I know that I need to further my education, especially with the current economic climate in this country. It's the best thing I do. I do feel weird going back at age 40. I know that many of the students are young enough to be my children. I've got the will and drive to make it work. It has to work. There aren't a lot of options otherwise. I do ask that you would continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate it. Thanks.

Zac Efron Takes On Hollywood

I wanted to share these recent photos (by Norman Jean Roy) of Zac Efron from the August issue of Details. Zac's been known as a young heartthrob starring in such movies as the High School Musical franchise, Hairspray & 17 Again. He's now been trying to cast off that image to build a more long lasting career in Hollywood. Last year he starred in the film Me and Orson Welles. He recently starred in the film Charlie St. Cloud. This photo shoot is a little different from the usual ones I post. I'm usually posting pictures of guys dressed up. What do you think of these photos?

I'm not quite sure yet what I'm going to do. I am putting in some job applications. I'm also seeking out some short term work even if I can't find anything more substantial. I'm really considering going back to college. One of the biggest regrets of my life is that I never finished college. I know that's been the main reason in my life why I've gone from one dead end job to another. It's time for a change in my life. I'm almost 40 years old. I can't keep on going on like this. I'm seriously considering going back to college to further my education. I believe that's the best thing for me to do. Fernando Verdasco Is A Spanish Ace On The Courts

I'm not sure how many of you know who Fernando Verdasco is. I wanted to take the time to introduce him to my readers here. Fernando is a Spanish professional tennis player. The 26 year old is the second highest ranked Spaniard (ranked #8) in the world after Rafael Nadal (the world's #1 and my favorite tennis player). John Cho Is Ready For His Close-Up

John Cho has been mostly known for his roles in the American Pie and Harold & Kumar comedy franchises until recently. This past year he played the role of Mr. Sulu in the blockbuster reboot of Star Trek. He was also one of the stars of the recently canned television series FlashForward. While I love martial arts movies, it is great to see an actor of Asian heritage play other roles. These photos (by Nathaniel Goldberg) come from GQ. Besides loving the suits that John Cho is wearing, I'm a big fan of the sets used for this photo shoot.

P.S. I wanted to thank all of those who offered such great tips about three column templates. I really appreciate it. I'm going to be checking all of those out. I'll be doing some experimenting to see if I can possibly find something I'd like to do here at my blog. I have been wanting to revamp my blog some if I can.

I also wanted to talk about something. I work for a cleaning service. I found out around six weeks ago that my boss lost the contract at the state office that I clean. This is where most of my hours are at. I had actually been cleaning this building since before this man took over. I had worked for the previous holder of the contract. This man here kept us on when he got the contract.

I've been really stressed out the last six weeks wondering who had gotten the contract. We heard a lot of rumors. We finally found out who got it. I do know the man. I've always had good dealings with him. I just don't know yet whether he plans to keep me and my co-worker on or not. If he does, I also don't know if he will cut our pay and hours.

I definitely don't want to lose this job. I really depend on it. Besides this particular place I clean, I clean a bank for one hour a night. I sure can't live off of one hour a night. I need more hours. I can't afford to lose this cleaning job at the state office. I'm also hoping if he keeps us on that he won't cut our hours or pay. It's been a struggle as it is. It would be even harder on me then. With the economy being in the dumps, it's hard to find other work around here. I know people who have been out of work for a year or more now. There just aren't jobs around. I hate to think of having to try to find something.

I don't often get personal at the blog. I did want to share what's going on in my life with my friends here. I hope you will keep me in your thoughts and/or prayers. I really would appreciate it so much. Thanks. God bless you.

John F. Kennedy: Presidential Style

With the election of John F. Kennedy as the 35th President of the United States, the golden era of Camelot began. John and Jackie, along with their two young children, revolutionized what the First Family could be during their short time in office. They were a great looking and very stylish couple. Whether you agreed with them politically or not, there was no denying that at all. JFK is one of my favorite style icons. He looked amazing whether he was in a suit (doing his job as leader of the free world) or dressed more casual (as he relaxed with his family). It's such a tragedy that his term and life were cut so short.

Terrence Howard Is A Man Of Many Talents

I am a big fan of Terrence Howard. The actor's credits include Crash, Four Brothers, Hustle & Flow, Idlewild, The Brave One, Iron Man, etc. He also released an album called Shine Through It a couple of years ago. He's a talented man. The main thing is that I want to switch up to a three column template. I've looked around, but it's like I can't really find the right code. I see people around with some really cool looking blogs that have three columns. I'd love to still be able to use a blog header like the one I've got on this and my other blog. All the templates I find don't seem to let me use a header at all. Anybody have any suggestions at all? Do you know of or have a template code that I could use on this and my other blog? I would greatly appreciate any help at all. I'm not a tech whiz at all so I usually have trouble with this sort of thing. Thanks so much. You're the best.

Jon Hamm Is A Mad Man

I can't believe I've not done any posts on Mad Men so far. I definitely wanted to change that. Mad Men is one of the best shows on television these days. It's a modern day classic set in the advertising world of the 1960's. I love everything about this show. I'm a big fan of the 60's so this series is like being able to take a time machine back to that swingin' era. The star of Mad Men is Jon Hamm, who plays the role of ad exec Don Draper. Porfirio Rubirosa: International Playboy & Style Icon

Porfirio Rubirosa was a Domican diplomat, race car driver, polo player & so much more. He is most well known, however, for being an international playboy. He was married five times. Two of his wives were among the wealthiest women in the world, Doris Duke and Barbara Hutton. His last marriage was at the age of 47 to a 19 year old French actress.

His lovers included Marilyn Monroe, Eartha Kitt, Kim Novak, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Jayne Mansfield, Veronica Lake & Eva Peron. This Latin lothario was definitely quite the ladies man. While he never bragged about being well endowed, stories circulated out from his many lovers. It became legend.

His goal in life was never to make money, but to spend it. He did live quite the jet set lifestyle. He truly lived life to the fullest. Besides living quite the adventurous lifestyle in and out of the bedroom, Rubirosa was known as a style icon. His Latin blood and living in the Riviera influenced his particular style. He usually wore three-piece suits of the best quality, usually with double-breasted jackets. His style was "cool confidence."

Rubirosa was killed in the early hours of July 5, 1965 after his Ferrari crashed into some trees. He had been out all night partying in Paris to celebrate winning the Coupe de France polo cup. He was only 56.

His life has inspired characters in books, musicals & movies. There has been a rumor of a film about his life starring Antonio Banderas. Whether you approve of the life Rubirosa lived or not, he was loved by women and admired by men. He truly lived life on his own terms.

007 On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Plus Poll Results

One of my favorite James Bond films is On Her Majesty's Secret Service. This 1969 movie was the only one to star George Lazenby as 007. I've seen so much mixed reaction over the years about Lazenby and this film in general. Personally I love it. I think it would have been hard for any man to step into the shoes of Sean Connery. It didn't matter who the actor would have been. I thought Lazenby did a good job though. I loved the chemistry between him and Diana Rigg (who played Tracy, the woman Bond fell in love with and married). Telly Savalas is my favorite actor to have played archvillain Blofeld. The setting for the movie was so beautiful. I really enjoyed both the ski chase and car chase sequeneces. I also loved the music for the movie, whether it was the instrumental theme song or the love theme by Louis Armstrong. Here are some photos from this Bond movie. Have any of you ever seen it? Chris Pine Will Be Your Captain On This Flight

Chris Pine had some big shoes to fill when he stepped into the iconic role of Captain Kirk played by the legendary William Shatner. Judging by the success of the reboot of Star Trek, I think Chris has nothing to worry about now. I thought he did a good job with his take on the role. Taylor Lautner Is A Stylin' Teen Wolf

I doubt that there are too many girls and young women who don't know who Taylor Lautner is. Honestly many of us, whether we care or not, probably know who he is. It's hard to go a day without seeing his face in some magazine, on an entertainment show, etc. Taylor is probably the youngest person I've ever posted about here on this blog.
