Dear Every Senator:

You shall not pass this monstrosity Harry Reid calls health “reform” because in your twisted arrogance you are blind, unable to see everyone around you recoiling in horror, from the left to the moderate to the right to the voice of the American people expressed in every last poll spewing from the MSM. You know when CNN reports, actually reports, such widespread discontent that you people haven’t the capacity to see beyond the fog of the Twilight Zone surrounding your District of Criminals.

You shall not pass this bill because we back here in flyover country know that whatever form it eventually takes at 8:30 p.m. this Christmas Eve, after you add a slew of amendments that weigh it down like rocks strapped to a hit vic, will be only scaffolding for the final hell you and the House will consummate and birth in committee next January, a bill that will kill the only healthcare in the world worth paying for, a bill that will blanket this country with single-payer care (despite claims otherwise), a bill that will destroy our options and stifle our liberty and not even remotely resemble your pResident’s hollow mantra of “hope.”

You shall not pass this bill because we cannot sustain your shopping spree. While the number of federal employees making over $100,000 has doubled in the past 18 months, and you just gave them a raise, the unemployment rate in this country is 10 percent and higher in many states you represent and not even close to getting better. In fact, the worst is yet to come. You’ve already sent us barreling beyond the legal debt limit and still you spend more so that you can travel far and wide, fatcat politicians laying claim to an endless stream of someone else’s money: OURS. You shall not pass this bill because it will break this country.

You shall not pass this bill because this country doesn’t need another liberty controlling shell game disguised as “entitlement.” You already have entire generations of people under the loving arm of the Motherland, nuzzling against her for comfort and care, in health (we’ll get to “in sickness” in good time). You shall not pass this bill because you do not want to one day regret knowing that, by shoving everyone into the same healthcare plan, you destroyed our chances for ever grabbing a doctor’s time (otherwise known as creating “rationing”). You do not want to regret forcing people to become intimate with the wonderful world of waiting lists, as if we’re standing at the back of a line snaking outside our doctor’s waiting room into the hallway and outside the front door and across the street, stretching to the other side of the county. You do not want to regret forcing people to spend their waiting time being more productive than ever before … by reading War and Peace. While that’s unintended enrichment right there, Creator of Quality health care in the time it takes to read Tolstoy is not an epitaph you one day want chiseled on your tombstone.

You shall not pass this bill because you do not want to chase every smart kid who ever wanted to be a doctor away from medical school. Since doctors already earn less, thanks to Medicare and Medicaid, your health “reform” would push would-be medical students into something else, like garbage collection … or undertaking. Those two businesses are easily the least likely to fall under your government control anytime soon. Garbage is money, always has been (ask The Mob); and for med students, taking care of the dead would be just a few steps away from operating on the live, without the $300,000 in student loan debt or the hassles of malpractice insurance.

You shall not pass this bill because you do not want be responsible for the invention of doctor trailer parks. Under Obamacare, doctors who stay in the biz (due either to their own altruistic reasons or, more likely, to government extortion in exchange for the forgiveness of student loans or practice-related debt) will experience the community joy of public assistance, using food stamps to fill a shelf or two of their refrigerators (if they even have electricity). They’ll sell their homes at a loss and move into federal trailer parks for doctors, seeing patients out of the back room to cut down on practice overhead. The parks will have names like Bones Village and Blue Star Doctors Park and Good Samaritan Estates and take the place of hospitals, saving the federal government billions annually (because, naturally, we’ll have to bail out hospitals by then, too). They’ll become tourist destinations; we’ll plan vacations around our doctor visits and then tour the grounds, letting little Jimmy ride his first x-ray machine in exchange for a $5,000 admission fee. Universities will offer classes about them, with names like Contemporary Medical Trailer Park Economics and Staph Infection in the Trailer Park Hospital. You Congresscriminals, meanwhile, will continue to conduct annual hearings on the State of the American Healthcare Crisis.

You shall not pass this bill because you do not want to create an entirely new travel industry. Under Obamacare, if you get cancer, you can see the world (or what’s left of it) after the Government Health Rationing Board rules you ineligible for care, saving the taxpayers (by then) billions. You’ll use your retirement savings, or what’s left after you pulled them out of the market just before The Crash of ’12 and hid them under a stone in the hearth, to take a fishing boat to Haiti, the ocean cruise business having gone under and Americans no longer visiting any country east of Bermuda after nuclear ballistic missiles, unable to reach North or South America, wiped out every other continent during Iranian President Ahmed Ahmadinejad’s failed attempts to annihilate Washington. You’ll meet a witch doctor who will make you drink chicken’s blood and mumble incantations while stuffing his face in a bong during a 4-hour ceremony to exorcise your tumor. Amazingly, you’ll recover and come back to America and live a long and healthy life, taking annual vacations (by row boat, since you’re now broke) to Haiti for preventive health care.

You shall not pass this bill because you do not want to be responsible for creating less congestion in hospital emergency rooms … for all the wrong reasons. Under Obamacare, your typical accident victim will be treated only if they still have more than 75% of their blood and all of their limbs and at least 90% cognitive function (no substitutes, please). This will preserve the dwindling blood supply and eliminate the waste of resources required to keep a patient on life support. (Plus, it will help save the planet!) And think of the boon for transplantation! Why, with all of the accident victims unworthy of treatment ending up dead, we’ll have mobile organ harvesting sites outside each doctors’ trailer park. Donor waiting lists will become obsolete … that is, of course, if the recipients are still working and able to pay their share of taxes in support of the Motherland.

You shall not pass this bill because, if ACORN can sue the federal government over funding cuts, you can bet your sweet ass millions of people in this country will gladly contribute to organizations willing to bombard you with lawsuits that will hold up your monstrosity for decades in courts. You shall not pass this bill because you can also bet your sweet ass that millions of us will refuse to purchase your mandated health insurance. You do not want to be the reason federal courts start stuffing American people into cells at the new Thomson Penitentiary for Enemy Combatants for refusing to submit to your unconstitutional authority to fine us and jail us and even shoot us over our healthcare insurance.

And we will resist.

Finally, you shall not pass this bill because you are supposed to be the voice of the people. You represent the state from which you were elected. You do not represent yourselves. You do not represent an arrogant and indecisive and thieving and weak president who is on the wrong side of what is right and on the wrong side of history. When it comes right down to it, you shall not pass this bill because, if you do, you can kiss your life in the District of Criminals goodbye; we, the right-wing teabagging mobsters living out here in flyover country, which curiously includes the states you represent, will make sure your careers of public indecent exposure will skid to an embarrassing and resounding and infinitely final halt in 2010 or 2012 or whenever you’re next election happens to be.

Apparently, depending on the source, Ba-Cracked Insane Obamarx’s approval numbers are anywhere from the mid-40’s to the upper 30’s- inching ever closer to actually being lower the unemployment rate which as you recall I predicted would happen. A mere 30% of Americans approve of what the dumass liberals in Congress are doing. 30 FUCKING PERCENT! Are you kidding me? For a government of the polls, by the polls and for the polls you would THINK this MIGHT get the fuckheads to take a little notice but so far I haven’t seen it. But this last one here is my favorite- nearly HALF the country would rather still have Dubya as president than the current Obamination living in the religion-neutral-for-Christmas White House. What more proof do you need that the jackass hates America? What the FUCK is more American than Christmas??? One more bit of good news- 20% of Americans want Ba-Cracked Insane Obamarx impeached! I have no idea what the HELL is wrong with the other 80%, but I guess the “hope” I have is that they will “change” their minds….

Now, I want you readers to remember what the Pilgrims risked EVERYTHING for, and why the Revolutionary War was fought. I want you to take some time to reflect on the sacrifices these men and women made. Some of the things our Founding Fathers were trying to escape sound awfully familiar don’t they? No freedom of speech? No freedom of religion? The right to keep and bear arms? Taxation without representation? An oppressive, tyrannical government? Few personal property rights and fewer personal liberties?
Did the colonists come here because they heard America was giving away health care? Cash4Clunkers? Money for houses? To elect a massive, elitist, centralized nanny state federal government and allow them to operate with impunity in complete disregard for it’s constituency? 99 weeks of unemployment benefits? Food stamps? Cash welfare payments? I think not. They came here because they believed so passionately in a human beings right to be FREE from the encumberance of tyrannical, oppressive government they were willing to risk absolutely everything for the chance to live free. Did you read the passage above? “The Defense and Establishment of our unalienable Rights and Liberties”- I think there are few statements more powerful than that. If I were a better writer, I could likely prattle on in flowery prose, expanding on that statement and extrapolating it to withdraw more emotion. Sadly, I have not those skills and I will just allow the words to speak for themselves. They do a damned fine job without me.
Folks, America as we know her, as she has existed since 1776, is dying. She has been sick for a good while now, as Her citizens and leaders have moved further away from Her principles. There can be much debate as to where exactly the tide began to turn in her 233 year history. But the fact that we as a country are inching ever closer to EXACTLY what it is our forefathers sought to escape CANNOT be denied. We cannot continue to ignore what is happening to our great Country. In much the same way as we likely cannot pinpoint a single moment when the sickness began, we likely cannot predict an exact moment when She breathes her last breath. But be CERTAIN of this- that moment is inching ever closer. Every time an individual’s liberty is surrendered to the government, every time something is taken from an individual by the government and redistributed to another, each and every single time the leaders act in blatant disregard for the Constitution and the noble principles of out Founding Fathers She gets a little sicker. Is it too late? I honestly do not know.
I DO know this- it took a long time to get where we are today. It is NOT the result of a single, monumental action. It is the end result of many thousands of small actions, kind of a “death by 1000 papercuts”…. Inasmuch as it was not a single event that brought us to this point, I firmly believe it does NOT have to be a single event that will reverse the course. I am just a single blogger with the freedom (for as long as it is still allowed) to write and share my thoughts with anyone who chooses to read them (for as long as THAT is still free). I also know this- there ARE good people in this country, who believe it’s worth fighting for. And each one of us who believes and is willing to fight is a single voice to unite in a chorus, to begin to turn the tide, to heal the sickness and restore our great America to where She belongs.

Automated Customer Service

Well, like I tweeted earlier today, I have had it right up to my fucking eyeballs with automated phone systems when you call customer service. After spending 10 minutes punching through automated menu systems to do such things as “better assist me” and “streamline the call process” and countless other ridiculous catch phrases thought up in boardrooms and planning committees full of retarded fucking morons who don’t have anything better to do than come up with ways to complicated unnecessarily even the simplest of procedures, I just fucking LOVE IT when someone with a pulse actually answers the call (thanking me, of course, for my patience), only to ask me the same fucking shit I just typed (or spoke if you happen to be one of the last three people on the PLANET with a rotary phone)! How the fuck is this helpful? Why the fuck can’t they just have someone to answer the god damned phone????

Case in point- my internet connection was fucked up ALL DAY yesterday. Pages were taking forever to load, the connection was dropping and failing miserable the tests at both speedtest.net and pingtest.net. So I got off to work and figure it should be sorted by the time I get home. 7 hours later, and same old shit. I try resetting the router and cable modem- no luck. I try removing the splitter and plugging the AC cord directly into the wall outlet- no luck. I try eliminating the router all together and going directly from the cable outlet to the modem to the computer via USB- no luck. So at this point we’ve managed to narrow it down to SOMETHING that is the cable company’s problem, either the modem or the signal on the line. So I throw down 4 BIG shots of Jack Daniels and get ready to call in…. Keep in mind, it’s 1:00 AM. After spending 10 minutes “describing” my problem to the automated system, being told about the “unexpectedly high call volume”, told repeatedly how much my “business is appreciated”, being told for faster service I should visit cablecompany.com (oh, yeah, why didn’t I think of that? What better way to get resolution to an internet connection problem than to VISIT A FUCKING WEBSITE???), entering various security information like my phone number, alternate phone number, house number, ZIP code, social security number, wedding anniversary, city of birth, mother’s maiden name, the name of the third school I attended, high school mascot, name of my first pet, my middle child’s blood type and clotting factor, and my brithday; I FINALLY get through to some VERY pleasant woman named Michelle. I don’t think Michelle likes her job very much…. But she DID speak English, so at least there was that. After “describing the problem” AGAIN, Michelle then decided to run some remote tests on the modem. It turns out she WAS able to verify that it wasn’t working. Well no fucking shit- if it worked I wouldn’t be calling!!! So now I’ve got nearly 20 minutes of my life I WILL NEVER GET BACK invested into a phone call that so far has done nothing but verify I problem I already knew I had. Michelle has now informed me that my modem isn’t connected to the internet. But wait, I say, it is working it’s just working VERY slow. No, she says, it’s not working at all. How does she know this?, I ask. Because her computer said so. But wait, I say. My computer says it IS working because I just logged in to The Daily Retard to approve a comment, but it took 8 fucking minutes to get there. Now, it seems, we have a discrepancy as to what the “problem” is, the last 25 minutes have apparently been a complete fucking waste, since now we can’t seem to agree on the “nature of the problem”. What next, I ask…. She says they will need to schedule a service appointment. OK fine, I say, just get my fucking internet fixed because there is a lot of retarded shit going on that I need to be bitching about. Fine, she says… But before she can do that, she just has to “verify a few security items”, to make sure she is talking to the right person. WAIT A FUCKING MINUTE!!! What the hell did I do all that shit for already? And how the fuck were you able to test MY modem, if you weren’t sure it was fucking ME you were talking to???? So back we go through the whole fucking list, only to determine that the earliest a tech can visit is Tuesday between 8AM and 1PM (thanks ALOT for narrowing THAT down to half the fucking day). So I set it up, thinking I can rant and rage from Caribou in the morning (by now it’s nearly 2AM). She says if the internet is working in the morning, the “system” will detect it and should auto-cancel the service call. Fair enough- I get up this morning and it IS working just fine. But I get thinking, I better just check on the “system” to make sure there won’t be some cable guy at the house at 8AM wanting to fix a problem that no longer exists, and send me a bill for it…. .So I call in AGAIN, go through the automation bullshit “to allow me a better customer service experience” and believe it or not, the appointment was still in the system…. Well, after only an additional 25 minutes of my life I will NEVER get back, we were able to get the appointment canceled. I will keep you posted tomorrow as to whether or not the cable guy pays me a visit…

Well, after the clusterfuck with the cable company I was gonna let the political stupidity go for today, but this worthless bitch senator Mary Landrieu from Louisiana is NOT getting a pass on what is, simply put, outright theft from the American people, and a bald-faced BRIBE from douchebag of the week Harry Reid. As if the fact that Harry “Asshat” Reid BOUGHT (and by bought I mean BRIBED) her cloture vote with $100,000,000.00 neatly tucked into the abortion of a health care bill the senate Commies managed to puke up in their little committee meetings, this worthless sack of thieving SHIT comes out to correct the terms of the deal, er… BRIBE. “Oh, no, it wasn’t $100,000,000 of hard-earned US taxpayer dollars “redistributed” from the federal government to the state of Louisiana, it’s $300,000,000.00! Get it right, guys!”

So like the title says, I can be “normal”, if I want to…. It’s just that I so often don’t want to be normal. I LIKE to scream and holler and rant and rave. It’s what I do. BUT, occasionally I try to make my viewpoints a little more accessible to the “mainstream”, so I will share this bit if rambling I posted at a webmaster board I visit now and then.
