Don’t know if you’ve seen any of the footage of this at all .....as part of the EMAs - U2 have played a mini-concert in Berlin.

Ahead of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall - they played six songs at the historic Brandenburg Gate in front of 10 thousand people.

I’m still smirking at the fact organisers were so frightened more than the 10 thousand they could cope with were going to turn up....they put up a wall to keep them out.

Brilliant.

Nothing lost in the moment there then.

The Brandenburg Gate will always be a spectacular backdrop for anything.

The Men Who Stare At Goats, Jennifer's Body, and A Christmas Carol 3D

The Men Who Stare At Goats stars Ewan McGregor as a small time journalist who encounters George Clooney's military officer character , one of a group of so-called psychic spies, who were trained to develop super powers.

This is getting mixed reviews.....critics seems to really like it....but Joe Punter ain't so sure. It's got this horrible look about it that all the good gags may be in the trailer and it's got nothing left to give once you reach the cinema. Decent line up though, including George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey, Jeff Bridges, and a goat.....how can it really go that badly wrong?

Jennifer's Body stars Megan Fox as a very evil man eating high school girl....and when I say man eating....she's literally chowing down. Sounds like a great way to go, if you ask me.

It's a comedy horror flick, and if you're the right age you're gonna love it. Also stars the very talented Adam Brody, Seth from The OC, who I've always though has a massive future ahead of him.

There's a massive backlash against Megan Fox in America, and I've never really been entirely sure why. I think this one looks OK for a fun night out.

Lastly for today, we'll look at A Christmas Carol 3D, about a month too early, but what do I know.

Hollywood director Robert Zemeckis is the latest to have a go at adapting the classic that is A Christmas Carol.

This one is 3D CGI and stars Jim Carrey as Scrooge, and features the uber-talented Gary Oldman as Bob Cratchitt and Marley's ghost.

Carrey is barely recognisable.....does a passable English accent, but adaptations of A Christmas Carol are only ever as good as their Scrooge, and Carrey seems restrained slightly by the format of it.

Plus, it's out a month too early. Bring me cinema screenings of Miracle On 34th Street with Dicky Attenborough, and It's A Wonderful Life.

Get me those in the cinema, on the big screen for Christmas....and I promise I'll sell you out the door. How about it Cineworld.

Bryan Adams is 48 today....so not a special one....just a normal day like any other.

Wake up, get dressed, have breakfast....get face sand-blasted.

The thing with Bryan Adams is, and this is true for a lot of people who work in radio....he's responsible for THAT song.

The Robin Hood one.

The one that was at number one for EVER.

And what made it worse for me was that I was hosting a chart show on the radio at the time. I played that song constantly.

Years of therapy, however, have made me stronger, made me realize that I did once enjoy Bryan Adams songs...and in particular, this one.

Nearly every girl I know fancies Matthew McConaughey.

And yet, they couldn’t pick him out in a line up of faces.

Just when you thought it was virtually impossible to hate Russell Brand more.....his friends think he might be about to propose to Katy Perry.

I think I’ll hurl...I don’t like it.

Reports say Russell has settled down quickly with Katy - and he could be all set to take her up the aisle.

Oh.

Can someone file this copy with the clarification bureau please.....

He may simply be flying her to a remote island north of their present location.

His friends say the new faithful Russell is someone they hardly recognize - and wouldn't be surprised if the pair announced a shotgun Las Vegas wedding sometime soon.

The only way I can get on board with this is if he has a bath first.

Victoria Beckham has reportedly bought David a couple of micro-pigs for Christmas.

May sound odd, but I can think of at least one of my friends who would love that as a present.

The rest of them would love it in a sandwich.

How much d you think they cost?

Reportedly...a grand and a half.

Posh, took delivery of the nine-inch, 13 pound pigs earlier this week...and has already nicknamed them Elton and David.

Poor Elt....kick a man when he’s down with EColi.

It must absolutely suck being famous and trying to buy your other half something exclusive and different as a gift....but not get discovered doing it.

And live animals of any kind would be the most incredible thing to stash away between now and Christmas.

She can’t be expecting to keep them hidden for that length of time, surely.

Business tsar Alan Sugar was under siege last night after dismissing struggling small firms as 'moaners' who lived in 'Disney World'.

What I want to know is...does he get in on cabinet meetings, and if so....does he make everyone sit in front of him instead of Gordon...ooh...and does his chair have a booster seat?

This makes the big papers with the long words today.

Employees who raise concerns about their company's environmental practices won the right to legal redress yesterday after a judge ruled that green beliefs deserved the same protection in the workplace as religious convictions.

In a landmark ruling, which legal experts said could open the floodgates to thousands of claims, Mr Justice Burton ruled that environmental views should be protected under the employment equality laws.

Our toilet corridor’s going to be closed down by lunch at the latest.

Any time after that, and it’s just one more day of suffering.

This I suspect is from a tabloid....call it an instinct.

'X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes have a bombshell sex secret - they haven’t had any.

They’ve only had one girlfriend between them.'

Bad phrasing.

And that "relationship" only lasted three days, according to old school friends.

Quite what that has to do with a singing competition, I don’t know.

But why they’re even in a singing competition is beyond me.

This story has come about because they’re being inundated with fan mail from besotted girls.

Really? But they look like Johnny Bravo before he found the gym.

Oh Dear Lord....what now???

John and Edward plan to 'exterminate' Simon Cowell in this week's show when they sing the theme from Ghostbusters.

Hang on, did Ray Parker Junior even SING the theme from Ghostbusters?

They've been working on a routine that sees them shoot lasers at a ghostly figure of Simon when he floats on stage.

The news has seen their odds drop again - to 8-1 to win the show.

If they do manage it, bookies could face a pay out of a record 20 million pounds.

So all they have to do this weekend is busk Ghostbusters, point a gun, and shoot the laser at ghostly Simon.

Walk, talk, and act.

Can’t see it.

If you want to come out to my place we can laugh at them together. I feel another ‘close to wetting myself’ session coming on.

The guy behind ALL the big movie themes...like James Bond.

Imagine that....say to any 76 year old...."Look...Happy Birthday old timer...we’re going to get Shirley Bassey to come round, jump out of a cake and sing Happy Birthday to you as a treat"...and most of them would be slavering all over the place....

Louis Walsh insists today John and Edward can win X Factor, despite admitting they aren't great singers or dancers.

I reckon they’re better dancers, and unfortunately that’s possibly the nicest way I can sum up their singing.

Louis even laughingly compared the twins to the likes of Madonna and Kylie Minogue and claimed neither had great voices, but they became superstars on the back of great performances.

Did he sign that statement in BSL?

Has it finally happened? His ears have bled so much there's no hearing left.

I'm telling you now....if the Kylie comparisons stretch to this pair coming on in gold hot pants on Saturday....

Just don't push us Louis...OK.

Anyway...says here... those days are apparently finished.

The Irish accent has been voted the world's sexiest - knocking the French off the top spot they've held for decades.

Men from Eire came top in a poll of thousands of women from around the world.

The Italian accent was deemed to be second sexiest, followed by the Scots.

The English were voted to have the sixth most attractive accent......

Wayne and Coleen have had their kiddie. Wayne missed training yesterday, which tipped off the press.....but then they thought it was a false alarm when they saw him turning into the geriatric women’s wards.

That was just a wrong turn...(*COUGH*) ....and he got there in the end.

The little boy is called Kai....baby Shrek with a strong desire to shop gene.

Just a hunch.

Also says here that Wayne blubbed like a baby when he became a dad for the first time.

Probably when they told him they wouldn’t put the placenta in a bap.

I love this....Wayne’s granny Pat, said she didn’t know why the name Kai had been chosen...but it was Coleen’s idea.

Well they weren’t going to go with Mickey were they?

Which is a shame because the bairn’s probably a dead ringer right now...maybe slightly bigger.

I see Robbie’s agreed for his big TV interview comeback to be on Loose Women....snubbing the likes of Jonathan Ross, Graham Norton, and Piers Morgan.

He’s going to do his song too....You Know Me...which I’ve now heard a couple of times.....and is slowly growing on me......but I do still think it sounds in places a bit like a cross between a BBC Holiday Show theme, and something that would play on the jukebox in a 50’s diner.

Apparently he’s a fan of the show and will appear on Monday...where the hardest question he’ll be asked is "Can we feel your chest/ bum/ biceps.....?

The Michael Jackson documentary 'This Is It' has been tipped to be a front runner for next year's Best Picture at the Oscars.

This, after the film received a highly positive reaction at an Oscars screening.

One Academy voter says the reception for the film was one of the best he's ever seen.

The documentary about Jacko's final days has already grossed 61 million pounds in just five days.

Hmmm.

I’ve not seen any of the people I know having a go a it...but it’s a really hard movie to criticize though isn’t it...because you’ll get called insensitive if you write or say anything bad about it.

Liz Taylor’s on the Oscars voting list....The Academy. And she’s already described it as the best movie she’s ever seen.....so that’s a shoe in.

It would be very Hollywood for them to give it to Michael Jackson....just like they did with Heath Ledger the year before.

I wonder who’d collect this one though?

That fight amongst the family on the way to the podium isn’t going to be pretty is it.

So, apparently, Danyl Johnson staged an amazing comeback to WIN the public X Factor vote on Sunday - despite finishing in the bottom two the week before.

According to figures obtained by The Sun, Danyl knocked the twins into second place.

Olly came third and Lucie Jones finished fourth.

The next group were Lloyd, Joe and Stacey - with Jamie Archer in bottom place.

Hang on....where was Rachel? Didn’t she register any?

From 15.8 million people!

I sniff conspiracy.

Actually, to hell with that.....STILL the most concerning aspect.....John and Deadwood in second.

Don't know if you’ve read this today....

You know sometimes...if you’re a big enough fan....you’ve got the money to bid for it at auction...and you’re lucky enough to hear about it...there will on occasion be something like a flight in a military aircraft will come up for grabs.

One such story makes the papers today.

This poor guy....got on a military flight in South Africa....the pilot was doing various stunts...and the guy tried to brace himself as he felt queasy.

In true question of sport style...what happened next?

The man rummaged about instinctively next to his seat trying to find something to hold onto.....and grabbed the lever for the ejector seat.

In so doing he fired himself 300 feet into the air...straight through the jet's perspex canopy.

Experts say he was lucky to escape unharmed from the plane.

I’d say.....mind you...that luck may run out when he lands.

Hats off to them.....they’re how many series in now...and it was starting to get a bit tired...but they’ve tweaked it....ramped it up here and there...and I genuinely think this series has been TV gold.

Did you see Dannii on with Piers Morgan at the weekend?

I thought she came out of it really well, I have to say.

She’s always had this sort of hard as nails image about her personality before, but, whether it’s a conscious move or not, they’ve really softened her this series of X Factor.

I really like her now....

In fact....I ALMOST like Louis....but let’s not get carried away.

He brings John and Edward every week.

Speaking of which - I’m not entirely sure whether I could hear it for John and Edward shouting Queen’s We Will Rock You or not....but I know for a fact Freddie Mercury’s box will have been spinning like Jimmy Calderwood’s old team tombola when they were on stage on Saturday.
