It has been many years since I bought percussion instruments but they are still expensive. A full trap kit starts at somewhere around $2500-3000 but, if you are serious about playing, that is a cost you must endure. Other instruments are just as costly (once you include amplifiers, PA systems, speakers, and etc.) and there are certainly worse things you could spend your money on - especially if

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TheCyberculturalist/~4/VpYvIgFE4jU" height="1" width="1"/>

Massive Cyberattack or No?

Twitter's new six-second video clip site has become so overrun with porn that it has been restricted to users 17 years of age or older. Of course, this does little to actually keep younger viewers off the service; anyone can press the OK button regardless of age. It should help promote awareness of the app as an adults-only network, though.

Apparently, flanged receptacles have but a single use, that use being to contain pins so they do not get lost. While it is a perfectly single-purposed job, it is very necessary. Anyone who works with pins, especially if they are used often, knows the value of these receptacles and needs them for everyday purposes. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit your needs.

A new set of amendments limiting anti-hacking legislation has been dubbed "Aaron's Law" after Internet activist Aaron Swartz. Swartz took his own life fearing a life in prison due to overzealous prosecution. Following his death, many decried the draconian laws and prosecutorial malice involved in cases like Swartz'. Wired has an in-depth write-up of Aaron's Law.
