Ryan Lassi, ASUO Senate Seat #13 (Business Majors), has resigned, stating that

There are some priorities that have come up that I have not been able to take care of due to being so swamped working two other jobs, going to school, and taking care of some personal things that can’t be missed.

The Comic Press is looking for talented people to join The Comic Press for the 2009 / 2010 school year. The Comic Press is an alternative student newspaper on the University of Oregon campus. We’re looking for people to fill the following positions:

• Writers (Opinion, Entertainment, Campus News, Campus Life, Politics, Serial Fiction)
• Editors and Copy Editors (Copy edit content for the website and the print edition of The Comic Press)
• Advertising Sales (Network with community members and businesses to sell advertising in the second largest student newspaper at the University of Oregon)
• Layout / Design (Design the visual brand and identity of The Comic Press for online / offline display. Layout individual issues of The Comic Press)
• Administrative / Business Manager (Handle the business side of The Comic Press – accounting, networking, administrative)
• Public Relations / Marketing (Engage with the community surrounding The Comic Press through Twitter, Facebook, Blogging, YouTube, and traditional media and marketing strategies)
• Everything and Anything else

The Comic Press is the second largest newspaper on the University of Oregon campus – and the fastest growing campus newspaper. The Comic Press offers real world experience in the fields of Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Management, and Creative Writing. Just a short post today. It’s graduation day at the University of Oregon. Congratulations to all 2009 U of O graduates.
