Fun-filled Weekend Travel to Penang Malaysia

My weekend travel to Penang Island, Malaysia was indeed fun-filled.
The place is quiet and not too crowded. You can enjoy a breath of fresh air. Thanks to my friend Karen, place pa lang feel at home na.

Aside from these attributes, here are some of the activities I took that surely made my weekend fun.

My first day was hiking at Taman Negara. The activity can be done half day or perhaps a whole day if you would want to stay at the beach ending the trail. (Monkey Beach)

I purposely joined a running event for this trip to add up activity for the weekend. Good thing, I was able to register at Hard Rock to Rock Run and this started my second day.

After the run, we strolled around Air Itam where I get to see Guan Yin Statue and Kek Lok Si Temple and some other temples.

The view and the ride on Penang Hill was amazingly good. The inclined train going up the hill was really a nice experience.

Definitely, Penang Island is love. Well, if I get to stay and work here, it would really be possible. I did feel comfortable staying and roaming around the place. So, for all employers in Penang, should you have any job openings, I'm just here lah!!.. lol

Guan Yin Statue and Kek Lok Si Temple

Along the way to Penang Hill, my eyes were caught in a few other structures in Air Itam. So immediately after our nice viewing on top of the hill, we walked around and passed by the Hindu Temple Sri Ruthra Veeramuthu Maha Mariamman Devasthanam and also their market.

We were supposed to take the bus from Penang Hill to Air Itam market but only one bus number is designated in that area and the bus was waiting for passengers for quite some time (probably about 10-15 minutes). So we decided to walk instead. And it was worth it because we were able to take pictures of the beautiful place. (Time is gold, when watching.. bold.. :P)

When we got to the market, it took another 15 minutes to climb to our next destination. We passed through a street of souvenir shops, until we arrived at the Kek Lok Si Temple. There were a lot to see - temples, Pagoda of 10,000 buddhas and another attraction in the place is the Guan Yin statue. We had a little problem though, it was already 515PM and the inclined lift getting to the statue only have one-way ticket left and so we will have to go down by walking with another extra time. (The lift is open 830AM - 530PM. Each way is RM2 for adults while its half the price for children.)

We grab the one-way ticket and off we went. After 3 minutes, a towering 30.2m bronze statue of Guan Yin fascinated our eyes.

I wanted to go up the stairs however when asked one of the guys who was working there, he told me it is closed for the preparation of the Chinese New Year. I just roamed around the place with my friend and enjoyed the sight seeing.

Before 630PM, all visitors should leave the temple. We we're going down already by quarter to six.

The Thrill Ride To Penang Hill

I had pictures in my mind of Penang's train passing through hills and tunnels that will make me feel like I am in one of those Harry Potter films. I really want to experience that, so I asked my friend if she knows the place I was referring to and so we can pay a visit during my stay. That's when I heard about Penang Hill.

I got so excited when we rode the Penang railway going up to the hill. However, I wasn't able to have a nice view as the train was a bit crowded, the others were even left standing. I was thinking if it will be just fine, since the trail is elevated. Anyway, I really wanted to experience a thrilling ride so I had a chance when it was our time to go down. I was the first on queue for the next train and my friend just let me rushed to the front seat.

I was like riding a roller coaster or some ride that was ready to drop... the feeling was so different when we were going down compared to when we were going up.

The ride took around 10 minutes and the tickets that were being sold depends if you are local, foreigner, adult or child. The tix we got was worth MYR30 for two-way. The operating hours for weekdays is 6:30AM - 8:00PM while 6:30AM - 9:00PM on weekends, public holidays and school holidays and this is subject to change by Penang Hill management.

The View from Penang Hill

Almost all the prizes were already given away when we left from the venue of the Hard Rock to Rock Run event. By 9:30 in the morning, we were on our way home to recharge our batteries. But we ended up swimming when we arrived. LOL. I just couldn't resist the sun and their inviting pool. I really enjoyed the splash while my friend did me underwater shots. Here's one for you:

Anyways, we still got time to visit our next destination, Penang Hill. About 2 in the afternoon, when we arrived at Komtar Terminal, the central terminal in George Town. We waited a bit for the bus 204 going to Air Itam where Penang Hill is bounded.

Going Up Penang Hill
You can either hike for 2 to 3 hours or by taking the Penang railway for about 10 minutes. My friend immediately went straight ahead to administration office to get some train tix while I went my way and roamed around the area to check some stuffs.

On top of Penang Hill, you can see the Penang Bridge that connects to the mainland (above) and the highest building in the island, Komtar Tower or also called as Menara Komtar Complex (below).

There was a cool breeze while we walked around the park. We came across a fellow brother and sister from Mindanao. But we spoke in English because they cannot understand Tagalog.

Aside from enjoying the view, there were also various places of worship for different religion like Hindu, Muslim and other structures.

After spending an hour in Penang Hill, it was enough for us to enjoy the view and the scenery. So, we headed towards our next stop...

2011 Hard Rock To Rock Run Event at Penang

Seriously, I had my runs last 2010 and it was really cool to join such event together with my siblings. Well, it's not just about fun but being healthy. Like what experts say, we should have at least 150 minutes a week of exercises because this helps in reducing heart risk while it adds years to life.

I wasn't able to follow any events for the year 2011 since I was adjusting to my new environment. Not until my friend told me there will be an upcoming running event in their place. I was like asking her questions nonstop and finally I decided to join. She immediately registered me for the event.

This was my main reason why I went to Penang besides getting some fresh air. So as I've said earlier on my first day, we had hiking at Taman Negara for our preparation. Now, it's time to run.

Rock To Rock Run 2011 is a project to support local homes in need and a global fight against poverty and hunger. #imaginenohunger. The event was hosted by Hard Rock Hotel at Penang, Malaysia.

We arrived at the venue just in time along with more than a thousand runners who joined. We went straight ahead to the registration booth to confirm our attendance. And shortly after, we did our stretching exercises. I was looking around when I saw some runners who were in costumes and I thought was something different from the previous runs I had. I mean, how are they going to run with the costumes on. It would be so uncomfortable, right?

Weell, the reason behind is a rocking prize for the best dressed category aside from the top 10 runners. And also, it is supposed to be fun, hence the rock and roll costumes. And if I only knew then, I should have wore a costume too.

The run was a bit easy and funny on the way as these guys on costumes are playing jokes with each other. And FYI, I did not finish the race without giving a god damn fight. (Lalaban?!? hahah)

It took me about 30 minutes but enough to be listed as one of the first 500 runners entitled for a towel. LOL. Until the next run again.

Hiking at Taman Negara

Just before the year 2012 started, I was able to visit another island from Malaysia comparable to Singapore -- Penang Island.

My friend fetched me at Sungai Nibong Terminal, shortly as I arrived 7:40 in the morning. I had a few sleep around 10-hours travel via bus from Singapore to Penang but soon as we got to her place, I was with high spirits that I just want to go out and start the great weekend. We began touring her place after a short break which I eventually fell in love with.

We walked around their neighborhood and along the coast of Peninsular Malaysia where we can get a view of the Penang Bridge connecting to the mainland, Seberang Perai. The bridge is where the biggest run in the country is held every year. Also, nearby is Queensbay Mall, the currently largest retail asset development on Penang Island.

First Activity
By 2:30 PM, we were on the road for 30 minutes from Bayan Lepas to Georgetown, the central terminal which is gateway to famous tourist destinations like Taman Negara. From Georgetown, we boarded Bus 101 for an hour to get to Taman Negara. It costs MYR3.40. Taman Negara or national park in Malay is world's oldest tropical rainforest. Indeed, hiking is our way of prepping up for our next day activity. (to follow on my next posts)

We took the trail for three hours and ended at Teluk Duyung or Monkey Beach. We went back using a speedboat for MYR20 in 5 minutes. (I dunno what just happened. lol)

Before getting back home we dropped by Batu Feringghi for a Thai dinner. This place is where tourists and most foreigners flock at night for bars, restaurants and souvenir stores. It is famous for its Night Market.

The latest slogan for DOT is really more fun. That is because of the overflowing support I have seen in social networking sites. Online OEC for Balik Manggagawa

I got so excited for my holiday vacay in the Philippines that I totally forgot my OEC. Overseas Employment Certificate or OEC is what every OFW need to show to the immigration officer when they leave the country as proof of their employment overseas.

I only remembered it when I was having my Christmas dinner with friends and asked if I can get the OEC at the airport but I learned that if I will be exceeding for 5 days stay in the Philippines, I would be left with no choice but to get it from POEA. I only had less than two weeks, so I left my hometown for a day earlier just to process the requirement. My first time there and my first work to do for the year.

So I was there at 8:30 in the morning. As I entered the gate, I saw our kababayans piled up to this guy who gives the Balik-Manggagawa forms. After getting my own form, I entered the lobby of the Blas F. Ople Building and I was surprised with the huge crowd - busy with their own businesses. I did not want to panic. I went to see a table where I can fill up my form. I asked the assistance officer with things I am not cleared of. There were security guards who assisted us to the entrance of the hall where to process the OEC. While there was another one who announces the queue number so I went to ask him how the queueing works, he pointed the number marked on top of the form in my hand. I was in #907. They were still calling for #700 and below.

While I was waiting in the lobby, I was able to visit the Pagibig Center to ask if I would be required of such payments and if so, should I be able to process it from there. (Actually, the Pagibig forms are given together with the Balik-Manggagawa forms). The lady told me, I should have at least a month payment and if I wanted to pay it from there, this payment would just be deducted from the total payment when I get the OEC inside the hall. So I did.

When I finished, I went straight to the security guard and asked what number is being called already. Finally, I was able to enter the hall only to see another big crowd, waiting for their numbers to be shown on the screen. I was telling myself, 'I am gonna be stuck in here for a long time, seriously.' The place was like Divisoria. I heard a lot of our kababayans complain, that the current process is not that good compared to the previous. They were saying that before, there was only one queue in getting the OEC and less hours of processing. As for me, good thing, I was able to connect to their wifi while waiting for my turn.

The first process is Verification. There are about 17 windows upfront but some are closed, who supposedly are making sure the forms are filled up correctly with OFW supporting documents. The second process is to go to OWWA window for Assessment. This is where they compute how much you will pay. And lastly, is Payment. I paid for total amount of Php 1,200 for more than 4 hours of processing.

NOTE TO SELF: I should have never forgotten my OEC that I got from the embassy.

And so when I heard the news that the new chief of POEA is eyeing for an Online OEC Processing, my reaction was parang WOW lang kagaya neto >> BIG WORD. I mean, seriously, processing of documents for more than four hours is not getting any way better. This Online OEC for Balik Manggagawa would really be of great help and this better be good.

Sendong My Heart To Mindanao

As of this writing, the Tropical Storm Sendong or known internationally as 'Washi' has left an alarming number of casualties, hitting over 1,000 people dead and hundreds of thousands displaced.

Postcards When Traveling

Usually when going to tourist spots, you will see postcards luring you around with all the famous and favorite travel destinations the place can offer.

I thought sending them to my friends would be cool and I would really love to do it. So I ran to my Facebook to ask friends to send me their postal addresses. And luckily, I had about 10 respondents.

Well, I grew up doing snail mails for my Dad and Mom and some friends and I find it so delightful, as well as, receiving their replies. It's been awhile since then and it is my first time to do it in a foreign country, here in Singapore.

I bought the lovely postcards from a shop in Sultan Mosque. From there, I asked how I can be able to send them in the Philippines, Malaysia, Korea and Japan. I was then directed to a bell man in a nearby hotel where I can just pay the guy and entrust my postcards to be posted the next day. It was holiday when I went there. Okay. I agreed and was told about a week (or depends on the postal service of the country you are sending) that my friends will be able to receive my postcards.

It's been two weeks and I thought of asking my friends if they have received my postcards, unfortunately, they haven't. I tried to ask the bell man about it but he told me he already posted it. I didn't argue anymore.

I just went back to buy another set of postcards and send them once again. I have learned that there is a SingPost, Singapore's domestic and international postal service, at Mustafa Mall near our place. So this time, I will personally do the posting.

I'm just so happy sending them and hopefully it gets to my friends successfully this time around.

Christmas at the Orchard

Earlier, I have caught the Christmas Spirit at Clarke Quay. Now, it's time for the Orchard Road.

The long stretch of this shopping belt is indeed more lighter with the Christmas feel. You can see families and children enjoying and having a good time around the Christmas trees.

Shopping?!? Nah.. I'm not into shopping. I'm good at just walking around and do sightseeing and if I'd be lucky I might just be given free soda or snack while a lot of promotions are being offered along the area.

The place is just full of colors and charm and if you get too emotional, well, probably you will gonna miss your loved ones from afar. Everything is love and happiness.

At the end of the day, it's just how we see things and appreciate what is around us. Everyday is a beautiful day.

Sidetrip to Malaysia

Last year, my Sidetrip to Malaysia with friends was really an adventure. Good thing, I passed the immigration after being asked with circling questions that took me a longer time in the queue. Yes, it's me already -- a student going out to night parties across the border.

Anyway, I got in and my first impression with Kuala Lumpur feels like I was actually in Manila. A busy city but of similar cost of living. Buildings so tall, roads filled with vehicles, people walking the streets and affordable goods -- the feel was just so the same.

Malaysia offers a lot of remarkable structures like that of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur and the Lord Murugan in Batu Caves which really are impressive. Even the Genting Skyway at the Highlands I so enjoyed. Luckily, we were able to fill in an instant tourist guide that made it more comfortable traveling.

For the food, we didn't explore much about it because we're not the foodie explorer type. We were provided free breakfast on the guest house where we stayed while we took lunch and dinner to fast food chains.

Surely, Malaysia is worth a visit when you're going to an Asian Tour coming from Singapore. I know some of my friends made it to Singapore-Malaysia-Bangkok-Laos-Cambodia-Vietnam trip but for us, we did not have enough time for the whole tour. For the rest of Asia, we will surely have time for you next time. :)

Batu Caves and Lord Murugan

From KL Sentral station, we took the KTM commuter train to the Sentul Station for RM2. Then we opted to take the taxi from there. It was more convenient for us to go to this tourist attraction via taxi since we were travelling by four. And in just a few minutes, we have arrived to Batu Caves.

WOOOOWWW!!!! (Malaking nganga talaga ng wow mga 10 seconds.. wala ng bukas..)

I have been in awe when I saw how huge the statue of Lord Murugan is -- standing in the place of worship in Batu Caves and seems to be guarding the area. To our amazement, we took tons of pictures with just the same views for the first 15 minutes. (OA lang.. hahah)

In order to enter the Batu Caves, one must climb the 272 steps from the ground and this really got me excited. I was so eager to feel what is like inside the cave, how the view is up there and if I can go to a higher level than the statue. Even thinking if there is an entrance to the Lord Murugan statue, you know, like that of the Statue of Liberty in New York where its crown serves as an observation deck.

Anyway, we went on our way and carried our own water para pang-gasolina. But if you want to carry and give something with the 'tiny little creatures' along the way, it would be great too. As we went up, I kept looking back to see the view and Lord Murugan.

The Batu Caves has three caves and this one was the biggest, it is referred to as Cathedral Cave or Temple Cave. There were several Hindu shrines inside with tourists enjoying the ambiance in a cool breeze. And as we look around, we saw this part of the cave with a tiny opening which allowed the light to pass through it.

We looked up and we can see the clear blue skies with green lushes of forest. It really looks relax and comfy in there. As we trip our eyes around, there were numerous 'tiny little creatures' some quite territorial but what struck us is the baby creature crying out for something, and soon his parent went to attend his need. So sweet.

You can also try rock climbing in the caves. As for us, it was the end of our beautiful day. We went back to our hostel and readied ourselves on our way back to Singapore and have the flight going to the Philippines.

Amazing Race to Kuala Lumpur

As I've said in My 2010 Travel In Pictures, here's a series of events how my friends and I truly had an amazing race to Kuala Lumpur.

Day 1 was Universal Studios Singapore Day. It was too late for us to get tickets at Vivo City in Harbourfront. Amazingly, two friendly tourists was there to help. They advise us not to take the tickets on any booth because it would take a long queue or even tickets are already sold in that time of the day. It was around 10AM. They told us it would be better having a reservation online. And so, we did.

After USS and while we were on our way back to our hostel, we were planning about going to Malaysia. And just there and then we decided to go. As we arrived on our hostel, we asked the receptionist if he can refer an accomodation for us in Malaysia. We were having a hard time looking for a place to stay that would be cheap or would fit into our budget. It was peak season. Eventually, we have found one that is close to Puduraya Terminal and with an average ratings on the hostel websites.

After the accommodation, our receptionist phoned the bus station and got a scheduled trip. With a little rain and no dinner yet, we rushed to the bus station that was about to depart to Kuala Lumpur. Amazingly, the bus operator were able to wait for us and so we were able to get our tickets in their office and be the last ones to ride their bus.

We arrived in KL looking for a wifi spot to check where the hostel was and capture a map on the area as reference so as not to be fooled when we take a taxi ride. Luckily, there was a McDonalds nearby. It was early 4 in the morning when we got to the hostel just few minutes away from the terminal. The area was too dark and we were knocking the door for the nth time. Until finally, a woman opened for us - the receptionist. She then assisted us while we checked in.

We had early breakfast and we planned to go first at the Petronas Towers. We know we needed to go there early as it only have a certain time of viewing and a limited number of tourists. Tickets are sold out about 10AM. Our hostel was walkable to Kuala Lumpur's landmark about less than half an hour but we still rode a taxi just to be sure we get there first. And on our way, we noticed the meter was jumping and we were like going circles. I told my colleagues that something is not right on the meter and they also noticed that. So we asked the driver why it went up like triple the regular fare, he just told us we passed by some express lane and telling us certain extra charges. We didn't argued too much because we were so conscious of the time. We run towards the entrance of the tower and BOOM!! there were a crowd of tourists on the area as if there were no assurance of getting in for the cutoff. Amazingly, we made it. We went to the skybridge and really enjoyed the view. But still thinking, oh, darn that taxi!!

After the tower, we went walking along that area and we met fellow Filipinos that toured us in their place of worship, Masjid Negara. After about 30 minutes, we walk pass around some malls and then continued our bonding moments back to our hostel. It was a bit tiring day for the transition from Singapore to Malaysia but at the end of the day, we were so happy and fulfilled.

WTF?? ANSAVEEHHH?!? (Parang bingi lang) This is my initial reaction when I saw my entry in Bulakbol Photo Contest reached the TOP 10. I had my BIGGEST SMILE and I just don't know what to say. I really could not believe it. Then I stopped in a moment thinking if that's the final rankings. I was thinking they will gonna pick top 10 entries and everyone will fight each other until they get to top 5 and have a question and answer portion. (Parang Miss U lang ang drama at nageexpect pa talaga ako.. hahaha)

Anyways, me really surprise. I din't expect that I came from the toff 10. Oh my god. Uhmm. I'm ok. I'm so sorry. This was really my perstaym because em only 16 years old. Eto. Uhmm..Haha.. But I said dot this will be a treasure I'll keep in my entire life. Christmas at Clarke Quay

My friends and I were watching football game in a bar. We were serious and screaming for our own teams. When the game was finished, the night was just starting. We walked towards Clarke Quay and the biggest Halloween party is just about to happen. We drunk a few booze one bar after the other. We saw different costumes. Freaky. Scary. Wild. Crowds of partiers draws more and more as the night goes deeper. It was really fun and amazing night.

Two weeks after I came back to the place, then it transformed to a different ambiance. It's Christmas time in the city!!!

I was sitting through the steps along the river and suddenly I heard some Christmas songs play in the background. The Christmas lights were turned on and started to twinkle. Whew, I can feel it in the air.

It became an instant amusement. As people passed by this scene, I can see them smiling and their eyes are glowing. The children were just so amazed and playful with the bubbles.

I never thought that this is gonna be so colorful and bright. I am just so happy to see this.

At the same time, I kinda miss home. A lot of them. I'll see you soon. :P

Pacquaio-Marquez Final Match in Trilogy this November 2011

Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez is all warmed up to finish the fight they have started since 2004. This November 12, 2011 at MGM Grand Garden Arena, the trilogy ends between the best of the best fighters of the world. The battle of this two great boxers have been much talked about because of the controversial decisions -- the first was a draw, and the second in favor with Pacquiao.

Yet, another day that is surely marked by most Filipinos to watch and wait for the fight of The People's Champ or Pambansang Kamao, just a few names given to the No. 1 pound-for-pound best boxer of the world and the Fighter of the Decade, Manny Pacquiao.

A usual scene in a bar when Pacquiao is on fight. Surely, Filipinos will flock to the cinemas, restaurants and hotels, in their homes and in every community and streets in the Philippines and around the world to cheer for the boxing hero.

Today, I am launching This Month's Top Sites, just a random stuff (I guess, wala kasing magawa at nairita ako sa tuwing bubuksan ang browser.. LOL).

Craving for Kimono Ken

I am currently making a list of places that I would love to dine to when I get home in time for the Christmas holidays. And one I am craving for right now is Kimono Ken, a Japanese restaurant located at the lower ground and food court of Shangri-La Plaza Mall at Ortigas.

I love Japan and one of the reasons is all about their food. The Japanese cuisine has many types of seafood and vegetables with fresh and rich ingredients that are well balanced and healthy. That is why Japan is also known to have the longest life expectancy of any country in the world.

Here's a Chicken Cheese Rolls and Kani Salad Maki. You can get a 6-pieces Chicken Cheese Rolls for Php160, it's a deep fried breaded boneless chicken rolled with melted cheese and vegetables. And Kani Salad Maki for Php150, a combination of rice, crabstick, mango and cucumber salad.

Of course, by default we have Crispy Shake Salad for Php200 and California Maki for Php125. We always get to order this set because it's really good in the tummy.

The food taste and serving is really impressive. The place is clean and the crew are very warm. For me, it's really worth the money and that is why I have it on my list. So that's it, you know where to find me. :)

My PGT Season 3 Grand Winner

This season of Pilipinas Got Talent has really made it difficult who to pick for the Grand Winner. Unlike the first two seasons, the overwhelming charisma of the soon to be grand winners have obviously been seen since their auditions. This two are no other than Jovit Baldivino and Marcelito Pomoy.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 have showed us a lot more talents like contemporary dance, shadow play, gymnastics and acrobatics, aside of course, from singing. I have already picked my Top 3 Grand Finalists which was coincidental with what the Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino have said, that they (judges) have been mandated by Freemantle, to make the season "not Pilipinas Got Singing Talent but to show that we have different forms of talent".

So, I'm gonna vote.

I will have to give the 3rd place to the Lucky Twins. I don't know if its just me but they dance really well. I mean, they kinda connect to the audience in every performance they have made. I am one with FMG when he said, "I have never seen a dance presentation as beautiful as yours". Good enough to be on the third place.

Now, we're down to the remaining two, for me, it's really a tight fight between Synergy and El Gamma Penumbra. Both groups have really amazed me on this grand showdown. The only finalist the judges made a STANDING OVATION is the Synergy whom I will also agree their performance is really jaw dropping that I could also give them a standing ovation. But also, El Gamma Penumbra made a very difficult art of shadow playing. Both are world class.

Though I have seen shadow plays like The Silhouettes of America’s Got Talent, I felt a bit lacking with Synergy when they finished their routines. I wanted more.

So, my vote for Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner is still El Gamma Penumbra who gave the best performances from start to end.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner Results

After catching up Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Finals via live streaming, the event that was held at Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo has been the top trending topic not only to the country, Philippines but worldwide.

Though I was only able to see a glimpse of the program, like, the part when the Synergy Dance Troupe were performing which is actually near the end. I have been handed down the results.

Of course, it's not the actual results of the talent show. But the results of the Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner in Google Pilipinas.

Yep, that's me on page 1.. (heheh sumabit lang..)

They all did great for this season. We've seen a lot of talents from around the country. But there is only one who will emerge as the Grand Winner of this season's Pilipinas Got Talent and I have my own pick already.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 for Grand Finals

After watching the 5th semifinals of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 last weekend (October 8 & 9), I felt like the judges were eyeing for Renagine Pepito to be the next Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Winner.

Sure, this girl "has" it. She's just 11 years old from Cagayan De Oro City belting out Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing. But I think his audition piece (video attached) is much better than when I saw her on the semifinals doing the Michael Jackson's You are not Alone. And that's -- something. I mean, I was expecting more powerful choice of song. But she just gave a safe and good performance. So my vote is still gonna go with El Gamma Penumbra since their performances were consistently going up to my expectations and I think they really got more. But who knows, something might just turn out more exciting in the finals.
