Car v. Tree Near Kennicott and St. James, Driver Ran from Scene

Arlington Heights police received a report about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday that a car crashed into a tree near Kennicott Avenue and St. James. The driver, wearing a dark hoodie, ran eastbound on St. James from the accident scene. Arlington Heights Police are investigating.

Lawn Statue Thrown Through the Back Window of a Honda

Arlington Heights police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders threw a concrete statue through the rear window of a Blue 1991 Honda Civic parked in a driveway in the 1300 Block of Meade Lane near Lake Cook Rd and Schaefer Road.

The criminal damage to property offense is reported to have occurred between Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 8:00pm and Monday, November 9, 2009 at 12:45am.

Downtown: Third Incident of Criminal Defacement/Graffiti in Two Weeks

Criminal Defacement/Graffiti by unknown offender(s) who painted graffiti on an alley door 0-100 Block of S. Dunton Avenue was discovered on November 7, 2009 — the third incident of vandalism reported in the downtown business district in the last two weeks. The graffiti has no apparent meaning and is not gang related.

Arlington Height police received a report of a stolen Pirate Flag with skull and crossbones from the 1700 block of North Beverly late Friday November 6, 2009. A second theft of an American Flag was reported stolen from the 2600 block of South Clearbrook Drive on Sunday November 8, 2009 about 3:30 p.m. For the Clearbook Drive theft a suspect description is given as male wearing a hoodie who fled in a dark SUV.

Cook County Sheriff Looking for Two Burglary Suspects

Cook County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for two heavy set male/Hispanics that are suspects in a burglary that occurred at about 1:35 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of East Park Place in Wheeling Township. The suspects were last seen northbound toward Buffalo Grove Road in a silver pickup truck with no front license plate. The offenders left with $1800.

Buffalo Grove Police Officer Nabs Hit-and-Run Driver Near Lynwood and Pine

Arlington Heights police received are report of a hit-and-run about noon Monday near Thomas Middle School — Arlington Heights Road and Thomas Avenue. Apparently a Buffalo Grove police officer simultaneously witnessed the hit-and-run and stopped a female offender near Pine and Lynnwood Avenue in Arlington Heights. The offender was arrested and transported to Arlington Heights Police Department headquarters by an Arlington Heights police officer. The offender’s vehicle was towed to a police holding area.

Burglary to Vehicle on Woods Drive

Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:05 a.m. Sunday of a burglary to vehicle in the 1600 block of Woods Drive at The Pointe apartments. Contents inside a car were stolen after a break-in into the car that was parked outside.

Criminal Damage to Property: Three Males Pushed Down 6-Foot Privacy Fence

Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:20 a.m. Sunday that a group of three male offenders pushed down a 6-foot privacy fence at Arlington Heights Road and Waverly.

The witness that saw the offense reported that one of the offenders was reported to be wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. Arlington Heights police arrived in about one minute and found three male offenders in the area.

Unknown if any arrests were made.
