We are pleased to welcome Chef Ian McGill, to our team at ‘The Braywick Bistro & Wine Bar’.

Ian, as a graduate of the well renowned Stratford Chef School (Alumni 2007), has been involved in the hospitality industry for over ten years with exceedingly diverse exposure.

Ian honed his skills at the Stone Road Grille, Niagara-on-the-Lake , under the award winning Chef Ryan Crawford. Other experiences Ian has acquired through a number of local Stratford restaurants, including Pazzo’s Ristorante & the ever popular Down the Street café and bar.

The last five summer seasons, Ian has had the pleasure of creating dishes along ‘Millionaire’s Row’, Lake Muskoka during the warmer seasons, coming back to southwestern Ontario for the cooler seasons to impress new opportunities upon his portfolio. Although he enjoyed his tenure in the Muskokas immensely, he is now in pursuit of the ideal place to call home and has aspired to one day own his own establishment.

Ian’s specialty is nouvelle cuisine, with strong roots in classical French & Italian cooking. Some of his personal interests include charcuterie, preservation, in addition to an advocate of local, organic and seasonal practices!

Please join us as we launch our new menu and enjoy the results of Ian’s passion for cooking.
