We've had a lot going on at home... so much that I will need to make a few blog posts just to catch up, otherwise I will bore you all to death with so much detail in one post.

On February 23, my world was literally turned upside down! We got a puppy!!! We had already decided a few months ago that it was time to bring another 4 legged friend into the house, but the timing was much sooner than I had planned. It all started on Friday afternoon when my husband walked into a pet store while he was waiting to pick up a part for a job site. This sweet little girl had been out playing in the pen. She captured my husband's heart!!

Later that night, he told me all about his encounter with this furbaby. Much to my surprise, I said I would contact the pet store in the morning and see if she is still there. OMG, I did say that didn't I. LOL. When Saturday morning came around, the kind gentleman told me that she was there and he put her on hold for me.

Lindsay and I packed up in the car to go meet the little lady that stole my husband's heart. Within meeting her, she captured our hearts too... and the rest is history! Welcome home Pepper the Boxer!

So my world was turned upside down! Raising a puppy is a lot of work, but is also a lot of fun. The first few weeks were tiresome! She is crate trained, so that was helpful. No howling at night when we put her to bed, and only a few accidents in the house. Keeping up with her is like keeping up with a 2 year old child!! Let me tell you... this little girl thinks she is human!

As the weeks have gone by, she has given our lives an entire new meaning. Talk about team work within the family! She has truly brought us closer together. Everyone pitches in and helps out with taking care of her. She is MY responsibility all week while everyone is either at work or school. Yes, she drives me absolutely insane some days. She really doesn't like it when Mommy works. Walks, playtime, and snuggle time is what she wants from me all day! But seriously, how could you resist that face?

First trick Pepper learned in 2 days - "Paw"

She is unbelievably smart and picks up on anything we teach her within days! Heal and come... not doing so well with, but everything else... brilliant!!!

Still not going so well! 2 weeks now.

It's a little long, but worth the read. The Beary Scrap is changing.

Ever have one of those moments when you know there is something big missing from your life? There is something out there that that you long to do, experience, or see. Your mind will not quiet down. You are in constant argumentative dialog with yourself but yet, you still can't figure it out.

Then, one night while trying so desperately to fall asleep, you have that ah-ha moment! In that moment, you are now wide awake staring at the clock that now says 4am wondering how in the world am I going to get to sleep and if I do, how will I get back up to take the kids to school. You know what to do, you know what you are missing. You are afraid if you don't go write it down or tell one of your friends half way around the world, you might forget.

I had that moment not too long ago. What I realized: There comes a time in a girl's journey when you need to spread your wings an fly. Let go of your fears. Do what you have been longing to do. Believe in yourself. Let go and be you!

Many of you know that I have started creating my own stamp and washi tape line, along side of my acrylic pattern designs and my svg files that are available at ScraptasticalKreations.com under Beary Sweet Designs. My epiphany that night... I miss creating. I miss placing my mark in the world. I don't get a lot of time to do it with kids, daily life, and business. When I do have the time, I'm full steam ahead with it. I love it, I do well with it, and the response from you, my customers, has always been beautiful. This is what I've been missing, what I've been longing to continue doing, and fearing the next step...

It's time for me to move on past the trays of pretty papers and embellishments that we all love. It's time for me to let go and embark on a new journey my inner spirit tells me I need to do. It's time for me follow my dreams in this creative and crafty world.

I am liquidating every last stitch of all the pretty paper lines and coordinating embellishments from my store starting tonight.

Every Paper Line is marked down 30% to 50%... clearance items are 50% or lower. I will not be replacing any lines or bringing in any of the new lines that are coming out.

What does the future hold and where am I going? Some questions you may have

Are you closing the website?

No. The website will still be up and running for as long as I am in business. The only thing that is changing is my product line.

Will you still carry Mulberry Paper?

Yes! I WILL STILL carry my mulberry paper, that will not change. I know how much my customers rely on my product. It is what the business was founded on and I will always have it. No, the website is not closing.

What about Tear Bear/Critter Patterns?

They are here to stay! I have all intentions of getting my new designs cut, packaged and available for ordering as soon as I can. Something many of you don't know is that my acrylic patterns are manufactured out of my home. Designed, cut, printing and packaging all takes place here. It's a timely process. Our Creative tools are also handmade by me, and sometimes my husband, which is also a timely process.

Will you be getting in new Paper Lines?

As of right now, no. In the near future, I plan on putting together scrapbook/card/daybook/smash kits that will be available to purchase on my website. Kits will include custom stamps, die cuts, popular papers, embellishments and more at a reasonable price. I hope to get back out in the creative world face to face with some classes too. :)

What can you expect?

1) The same personal customer service from me. I do my best to respond to every email in a timely fashion. If you haven't heard back from me, please try again. Filters on my email may have blocked your email from me recieving it. When in doubt, send me a message through facebook from my fan page, or email me direct at kimm@thebearyscrap.com.

2) More Designed by Kimm stamps on a monthly basis. Design suggestions are welcome

6) More of my creative side and seeing me use my product in action.... and possibly a guest designer monthly or a design team.

As you can see... I have big plans. The future is so bright, I've got to wear shades! LOL.

I am focused and ready for the next chapter in this crafty world. I hope that you will continue to support and follow me in my future journey.

A Closer Look: Inside the Pink Paislee Portfolio Album and Collection

When the K&Co 365 Smash Folio arrived, I had several request about with the inside pages looked like. Well, I cold sit a photograph all 40 pages, but that would take forever. I finally put myself out there a made a youtube video on the displaying all the purty pages of this new smash book. I really had fun making it... and I made a few other videos too.

I've had a lot going on here since my last blog post. Some things will never change, I'm still a horrible blogger - LOL. Loads of NEW products have come into the store. New paper lines, a new acrylic pattern, new stamps, new washi tape, new daybooks, and a new smash book. I almost always announce everything on facebook, forgetting that not everyone is on facebook. There are still some pretty avid blog readers, including myself. Since facebook has made even more pitiful changes, page views are done and the number of followers a post reaches is declining. This hold true for any page owner. Stupid facebook! I guess I should get better at blogging, right? Right! This could be a long post.

When I submit new designs for stamps, I'm so impatient. The process seems to take so long from start to finish. From the time the final draft is submitted, to getting samples in and shipped out to my friends for testing, then placing the order and deciding the quantities to the knock on my door from the postman with 4 huge boxes full of 5 new designs. It's an exciting process... but me... I'm impatient - LOL.

As you can see, I've change our stamp logo. It's still not reflected on our packaging. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to change the name of our stamp line. I really love the bright colors

Impatience. I talked about that earlier. As much as I keep reminding myself that "good things come to those who wait" it doesn't always sink in. I'm sure that most of you can agree. Hello Beary Sweet Friends! I wanted to let everyone know I have created a new facebook fan page for all of you talented TBS artists to connect with other designers and potential clients for selling your creations using patterns ONLY from The Beary Scrap and our sister site, Beary Sweet Designs.

I'll be honest with you, I'm very particular about our TBS fan page. I prefer to stay neutral between sellers and buyers alike. I wanted to create a place for both sellers and buyers to connect without interrupting The Beary Scrap's daily business of connecting with you, our valued customers. And... I'll be quite honest with you, I don't like our fan page getting cluttered with ebay, etsy, yard seller, etc. links. I won't even post my links on the TBS fan page when I'm running ebay auctions - LOL. So in all fairness to everyone, I WILL remove, hide, delete any link or tag relative to selling a TBS paper piecing posted on the TBS fan page. SMASH* Books are HERE!!!

Do you SMASH*! Do you know what SMASH* is? Well to put it simply, it is a quick and simple approach to scrapbooking and journaling. It's the latest craze right now, and it is addicting! My girls and I started Smashing before Christmas, and what fun it is. I can't seem to capture the time to sit down and scrapbook a full 12x12 layout, but Smashing... I can do that. Just a few minutes and I've got a page. A page about whatever I want it to be. Whether it is pictures, a daily journal entry, likes, dislikes, rants, images of stuff I/we like, pictures of the kids... it is whatever I (and you) decide to make of it.

I find smashing to be so much more personal than plain old scrapbooking. One day when I'm gone, my kids won't just be going back to read my old diaries from when I was in my 20's, but they will now have something more vivid, much more personal, and more my style to cherish forever. They just might get to know me a little bit better than they thought they did. Talk about a great family heirloom, right?
