Louis Speeding Up In St. Louis

LeadBeat logged onto Left 4 Dead, excitement quivering just outside the subconscious. Just moments ago his Ultra60 MBPS internet service had activated. Used to DSL, the anticipation to play at a faster speed hung in a palpable field around LeadBeat. He quickly found a server and choose Louis, his favorite character. He lived in St. Louis, so to him it was a small private joke. The level loaded.

Within moments he ran about gather a shotgun and a medic pack. The controls responded with a fluidity that LeadBeat was not used too. He grinned. No more getting eaten by zombies due to lag now. The time of reckoning was at hand.

Charter Communications is introducing Ultra60, an internet service with up to 60Mbps connections. The service is designed for fast downloads of game patches, quality connections while gaming, and lag free streaming audio and video. They are currently the fasted internet provider in St. Louis and one of the fastest in the US.

I've been on DSL connections before and thought it the bee's knees since I had been used to dial-up. When I got cable internet it made DSL and dial-up close cousins, both incomparable to the high speeds of cable internet.

Want to watch TV shows on Hulu or tech news at the TWiT Network? Games too laggy got get that clean headshot? Need to download large files, but the download time is agonizingly slow? Make the switch to cable internet.

Take a look at the Ultra60 Information Page to learn more and you can even follow Charter’s Twitter Feed to be up to date on all their latest news.

Hosting Help

Charles typed "Web Hosting" into Google and hit enter. 228,000,000 results were returned. A myriad of options poured down the screen. Advertisements lined the side of the screen. With every link he clicked, more and more data filled the pages. He glanced at the list of the things he wanted in a web host, then back at the monitor. How would he ever wade through the billions of bytes of data to find what he was looking for? This website would be for his business. He needed to make a sound decision, not take a stab at the internet and hope he picked the right thing. Charles slumped in his chair and sighed.

---

Has this ever happened to you? You need a service, but when you search the web, you fond so many possible choices, you have no idea what to choose. If this is the case and you are looking for dedicated server hosting, whether for a personal or business website, you need a solution that will give you a manageable list of options to choose from. Surely a Google search might show you the most popular results, but what if those wont fit your needs? Why slog through a flood of irrelevant data to find what you need? If web hosting is your quest, let Web Hosting Geeks help you find your grail.

Web Hosting Geeks offers a database of many web hosting options and lists them by popularity, as well as other features. Do you need a host with top notch blog support? They have a listing for that, as well as several other options to choose from. Each listing has a section of customer reviews to read, as well as a blurb about the specific service and a list of the options they provide.

Don't take a blind stab in the dark when choosing your web host. Get some opinions first.

White Hat Training - Ethical Hacking Training by EC-Council

Robert unlocked the front door. He yawned as he pushed it open. He removed a mote of sleep grit from his eye them fumbled for the light switch. Lights flickered and illuminated the room. Boxes of various office supplies fortified one corner of the office like a child's hideout. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee invigorated his senses. He sat down his keys on a desk and made himself a cup of coffee; two creams and some sugar.

Sitting down at his desk caused his computer screen to light up. A notification window alerted him that he had several emails. New sales, he hoped. He clicked open his email client. His inbox was full of failed delivery notices. He sat down his coffee mug and peered closer at the screen.

He opened one of the emails. The address it had been sent to was not one he recognized. It appeared to have been sent by his email though. He scrolled down to see what the email had been about. His heart sank as he read. He opened others, but it was just more of the same.

A notification slid into the corner of his screen. The email was from a client of his. Robert opened it and read.

I got some weird emails from you. I scanned your server using some tricks I learned a while back. You've got some serious holes in your website system. Give me a call, I'll help you fix it.

---

Has this or something like it happened to someone you know? How would you like to fight the black hat hackers by playing their own game? Stop the hackers before they can start with Ethical Hacking of your own. Learn in week long live classes with 8 hours a day of classes, or if your busy schedule won't allow that, try their flexClass schedules which are divided into 4 hour blocks, twice per week, and can be completed normally in five weeks.

Learn much needed knowledge related to computer and internet security. Learn security fundamentals, how are computers vulnerable and how can you protect them.

Train to be a Certified Ethical Hacker and use the tricks of the bad guys to probe the systems of companies to find holes in their security so it can be fixed. This penetration testing is vital in making a super secure system.

Be a cyber-CSI and learn computer forensics. Track down disloyal employees and find web vandals who have defaced a website. Be a spy and uncover industrial espionage by finding secret software installed in corporate systems that leaks data to competitors.

The goal is to prevent tragedy, but when someone waits until it is already to late to call you, be useful still be being a certified disaster recovery professional.

Better yet, be a secure programmer and learn to make programs that can't be hacked.

---

The internet is still in the wild west stages. People are forging into undiscovered country. Protect them from the back hats who mean harm. Put on a white hat and save the day. There is a need for good people to protect the innocent, and unlike the wild west, you'll fight with a keyboard not a gun, and pay is actually quite nice.
Get a song covered just for you!

Hello Twitter users! How would you like to not only get your favorite song covered by singer songwriter Phil Rossi, but win cool swag like apparel or signed CDs?

Phil Rossi is the author of the fantastic (really, I listened and I love it) podcast novel Crescent (Podiobooks | Itunes). You can listed for free as a podcast, or buy the book July 9th on Amazon.com.

His writing isn't limited to fiction, he writes music as well. Good music. You can hear some on his Reverb Nation site.

Or you can hear him cover a song of your choice! All you need to do is follow @philrossi and tweet the hashtag #rossicoverme and the song you'd like. The official post on this contest can be found here. The contest takes place every Thursday.

One song has already been recorded. The winner was music artist Susan Juel. The song is performed with excellence.

Give it a shot!
