Ted Nolan has teamed up with his two sons Brandon and Jordan to create a hockey school for First Nation youth. The first annual 3|NOLANS First Nation Hockey School is set for July 22-26, 2013, at the Brant Sports Complex in Paris, Ontario.

2013 Rose Nolan Scholarship Application

The Ted Nolan Foundation is pleased to announce that the Rose Nolan Scholarship and criteria for 2013 are now available online. Read carefully the eligibilty requirements as the application has been revised.

As well, note the deadline for submission is June 30, 2013. The scholarship is valued at $5,000.

The successful applicant will receive $3,000 immediately and $2,000 upon successful completion of her current program.

The Ted Nolan Foundation looks forward to receiving your application for the 2013 Rose Nolan Scholarship.

Dates Set for 2013 Leadership Camps

The Ted Nolan Foundation is very pleased to announce the dates for our leadership camps in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia and Onondaga Farms, Ontario.

Tatamagouche camp will be held Oct. 2 – 6, 2013 as this will be our fourth year in Atlantic Canada.

Onondaga Farms camp will be held Oct. 23 – 27, 2013 and look forward to our fifth year in Ontario.

All applications will be going out at the end of March so please return all your signed forms as soon as possible.

President Ted Nolan and board members are very thankful to CN and their Employees and Pensioners’ Community Fund who have recently completed their 8th edition of the CN Hockey Greatest Stars Challenge.

Since 2003, the CN Hockey Greatest Stars Challenge has raised 1.7 million for charity and being one of the fortunate recipients we would like to thank CN for helping us make a difference in our First Nation communities.

The Ted Nolan Foundation would like to thank Tim Horton Children’s Foundation and their staff for a great 4th year camp.

Any successful venture starts with people who are passionate, caring and dedicated and your staff was all that and more.

Thank you to new comers Barb Weeden and Mark Johnson for your hard work and commitment to making this camp a successful one.

This was our fourth year and our youth could not have been in better hands. Our youth were so grateful for the wonderful kitchen staff and the food they prepared each day.

A special thank you goes out to former THCF employee Kevin Lindner who has returned to school but took time to spend it with our youth. A wonderful gift!

Our heartfelt appreciation to Vice-President, Dave Newnham, Nick Javor and the great team at Onondaga Farms!

On behalf of all our youth who recently attended our 4th aboriginal leadership camp at Onondaga Farms the Ted Nolan Foundation would like to express their sincere appreciation to our chaperones.

Carol Trudeau-McEwen from ADSB has been attending camp since our first sendoff in 2009 and newcomer Monique Gravelle who attended her first camp from HSCDSB.

Also, thank you Mackenzie Sayers who has been teaching the campers their rich culture since we began four years ago.
