Square Enix has said that a “closed“ Xbox Live environment means Final Fantasy XIV Online is unlikely to appear on Xbox 360.

"The main reason why we couldn't go with Xbox 360 was the Xbox Live system," the game’s director Hiromichi Tanaka told Eurogamer. ". Live is different to the normal internet environment, so when we wanted to introduce this game in the same environment as Windows PC it had to be PS3, so that was our choice.

"Microsoft has a different point of view: they want to have a closed environment for Xbox Live. We're still talking to... We couldn't come to an agreement on Xbox Live."

Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada said earlier this week that online services will represent the "true battlefield" for publishers in the coming years.

"First and foremost I would like them [the platform holders] to come up with a network infrastructure that will allow the publishers like us to freely design different business schemes," he said.

Announced by Sony as a PS3 exclusive at last year’s E3, Square Enix later said that it was considering bringing Final Fantasy XIV Online to multiple consoles. The game is also in development for PC.

Microsoft to Focus on Gaming with Windows 8

Unlock iPhone 3GS on Firmware 3.1 with PwnageTool

Follow the steps below to Jailbreak and then Unlock your iPhone 3GS on Firmware 3.1 without having to update the baseband. Please proceed at your own risk.

Another important note is to remember that the method only works for those who already have a previously-Jailbroken iPhone 3GS on an old firmware. Users with Out-of-the-box device shouldn't waste their time with this tutorial.

Please backup with iTunes before trying this. Here is how it goes:

Grab and download the Pwnage Tool 3.1.3 for Mac OS X (At thePirateBay | Alternate)
Make sure to update to the latest iTunes 9 before attempting this unlock.
Download the 3.1 Firmware for iPhone 3GS and save it on your desktop.
Run the Pwnage Tool 3.1.3 and select iPhone 3GS and click next.
Select the Firmware 3.1 with build iPhone2,1_3.1_7C144 and click next.
Select 'Yes', click next and then select 'No', now the 'Building IPSW' has started.
Once completed, select 'Yes' to the prompt and click next.
Open iTunes and click Restore (while holding Option key) and select the newly created Custom 3.1 IPSW on desktop.

Voila! the iPhone 3GS has now been successfully updated to 3.1 Firmware while preserving the baseband, now follow the steps on this article (starting from step-3) to unlock it with Ultrasnow.

The iPhone Dev team released the PwnageTool 3.1.4 a couple of days ago which allows users on a Mac to Jailbreak and Unlock the iPhone 2G, 3G and the iPhone 3G[S] on Firmware 3.1.2. I haven't been able to post the tutorial due to a busy routine so I am providing the hacktivated firmware for iPhone OS 3.1.2 which will allow any Mac or Windows user to Jailbreak and Unlock their iPhone.

The process will work only on those iPhones which have been Jailbroken at least once on a previous firmware. So if you bought a new iPhone and plan to follow through the guide, there is a good chance that your time will go in vain.

The beta release of a new Linux OS by the SUSE Studio seems to be trending up on Twitter and has created a lot of buzz already.

The OS, which is named as the Chrome OS, is actually only a Linux distribution built using the developer version of the Google Chrome web-browser for Linux at it's core and is not by Google.

The Chrome OS by SuSE, which comes pre-installed with the Chrome web browser should not be confused with the Google Chrome OS which will be available for download in 2010 after an official announcement by Google. Below is a screenshot of the Chrome OS by SUSE.

Like any other Linux distribution, the Chrome OS by SUSE can be downloaded for free. Unfortunately! a Live-CD version is not available.

All the testing has been done and according to him, it will work with any iPhone on the Firmware 3.1.2, even those with the 05.11.07 baseband.

Install the PC software name as "mobiolaheadset2_wl_s60v3" in PC and install the mobile application name as "headset_s60_v_2_0" into mobile.

Remember if your don't have Blue tooth or WIFI functions, it will not work. Yeah it works for Cable but what is the difference between a cable and normal Microphone.

Installed the application in PC as well in mobile now open the folder "I_LOVE_DVT" and in it you will find two files, one is "keymaker" and other is "runme". Copy these two files into the install directory such as "C:\Program Files\Mobiola Headset for S60" and paste it.

Now run the "runme" and "keymaker" as well. From "runme" copy the Hardware fingerprint something like "373D-BCC0" into "keymaker's" H/W ID and press generate.

Now copy the keys and the name from "keymaker" into "runme" and press ok. It show valid. Now run the PC application and check it.

Than go to control Panel, sound and device. Run the sound and devices settings find the microphones one, select your microphone driver to mobiola and select the speaker driver.

Check your microphone by going to Volume controls and run any song to check your speakers that you can hear the song in your mobile speaker.
