1. Open Firefox

2. Type about:config in address bar

3. Click "I'll be careful, I promise" if it shows the warning. If it doesn't just continue to next step.

4. Type pipe in searchbox

5. Click on "network.http.pipelining" and "network.http.proxy.pipelining" and change their values from 'false' to 'true' by double-clicking in the value column.

6. Click on"network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" and and change the value to 100

7. Right-Click-->New-->Integer-->Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay ---> And set the value to 0

8. Search for: browser.cache.disk.capacity --> If you don't find it, Right-Click-->New String--> And name it to browser.cache.disk.capacity and set the value to 16000

Right-Click on your Firefox shorcut, and then choose Properties. In the target box, add
/Prefetch:1

How important are backlinks for a successful blog?

I've started a " Free Backlinks for Your Website" Movement. I've promoted it to many bloggers. But, some of them still facing some difficulties in understanding the purpose of the movement. So, I wrote an article about the importance of backlinks for a succesful blog or website.

1. How important are backlinks for a successful blog?

Backlinks are basically how you are connected to the other blogs or somebody else add your blog to their blog. Backlinks are considered to be the successful formula to get high ranking on the search engines, that is the reason why the new bloggers read the importance of backlinks on the internet and strart looking for link exchange programs.

I find them to be VERY important especially if they are used correctly. To correctly use backlinks, IMO they need to be targeted and from high traffic / high PR websites.

Doing this will give you a steady flow of targeted quality traffic. This will help lower your bounce rate greatly, and increase pageviews, sales, and overall income.

2. How to check backlinks to your website?

There are various free tools available on the internet, Google doesn’t provide much details about backlinks, but Yahoo is considered to be the best and authentic in terms of sharing backlinks of your blog or website.

More quality backlinks you have to your website or blog,more is your ranking on the websphere resulting in getting more pages indexed and more visitors to your site.

3. External website article

And I found an external website article to explain to you all about importance of Back Links.

When setting up your website for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) on Google there are several factors you need to look at in order to obtain a high rank on their search engine. Of course your content and meta tags must be inline with positive density percentages and reciprocal links. Google then takes your website and performs a mathematic equation and places a numeric value on your website depending on one of the most important features, reciprocal or back links.
A back link and reciprocal link are identical. They both say the same thing to the Google engine, that your site should be ranked higher in the order because other people find value in what your website has to offer, thus they provide a link to your site. In turn, you keep a closed loop by reciprocating the favor to the other website by extending the same courtesy of a back link. Thus creating a solid network connection. Google likes to see interconnectivity and will reward your website well for planning it this way.

There are drawbacks to the equation. As things change a website that you are affiliated with may drop a hyperlink or a page may get accidentally deleted. When the Google robot goes through your website and finds a dead link it notes that you aren’t keeping good care of your website and punishes your web rank by reducing its point value. If you wish to know what your sites current point value is download The Google Toolbar and search for your website www.yourwebsitename.com in the box and perform a Google web search. Upon reading the full URL, Google will go directly to your site first thus pulling up your home page. There on the toolbar will be a page rank for your website between 1 and 10. 1 being a less visited and noted website and 10 a site that screams traffic 24/7.

Some of the individuals you share reciprocal links with may in fact scan all their links for continuity, should they receive a bounce back for a broken link on your website you can be assured you will receive an email from them. Keeping your website in balance with other sites you share links with will keep the Google engine happy. If you go off and add a company that is not Google friendly, meaning they have no back links you may also lose points.

Microsoft has released WGA Notifications application which effectively turned Microsoft Windows operating system into a ‘nagware’, with a “This copy of Windows is not genuine” warning. What the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications application does what it will check your Microsoft Windows XP validity. If it found that the copy of Windows XP is not validated, not genuine, counterfeit, unlicensed, pirated, illegal, unauthorised or simply failed the Windows Genuine Advantage validation process, then the notification messages will appear at various places and time.

Finally, there is a way to remove this Genuine Notification easily. RemoveWGA will enable you to easily remove the Microsoft "Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications" tool. RemoveWGA blocks Windows Genuine Advantage from reporting back to Microsoft. The tool alerts you if the WGA notification is active on your system, stops WGA from activating when you turn your PC on, and removes it.

The number of social bookmarking sites has exploded within three years, leaving someone new the space probably a bit overwhelmed at where to start. If you are new to social networking understand that each social networking site is different, it attracts a different audience with different interests. Thus what interests someone on Reddit might not appeal to anyone on Digg.So who are the main players in the social bookmaking space? And what is the profile of the typical user of these social bookmarking sites? The answers below might surprise you!

Digg.com

Digg is the most popular and notable of the social bookmarking sites. Quantcast estimates that that Digg has about 25 million unique visitors a month. The audience is predominantly male (65%), between 25-34 years of age, with a household income between 30k and 100k. Digg’s demographics have changed as it has become more popular (mainstream). Not to long ago the Digg profile was male, under 25 who made less than 30k a year. Social media topics that do well on Digg include interesting photos, anything anti-Microsoft and lists (top 10, etc).

Propeller (formely Netscape) is comfortable the second biggest social bookmarking site behind Digg with over 5.8 million monthly uniques, of which 3.6 million (62%) are in the U.S. Netscape also attracts a male biased audience (54) , that is slightly older (45-54 is biggest age group), and 55% of Propeller.com visitors have an household income over $60k.

Stumbleupon.com reports over 4.5 million members and Quantcast classifies it as a top 5,000 site that has about 1.5 million unique visitors a month from the U.S. The audience is male biased (56%) and between the ages of 45-54 (22% of visitors). The older demographic also skews the household income with 51% of visitors having a household income of over $60k.

Reddit is becoming a very popular social bookmarking site with about 1.2 million unique visitors in the U.S., making it slightly larger than Del.icio.us. Reddit attracts a predominantly male (57%) audience that is between the ages of 35-44 (25%). With 65% of the audience having a household income of between $30 and $100k, Reddit is a mainstream social networking site. This site reaches approximately 70,742 U.S. monthly uniques. The site appeals to a more male (60%), younger audience (38% are under 24).

So what does the demographic data tells us? One is that the typical social bookmarking site user is male, between the ages of 35-54 with a household income of $60k or more a year. Is this your target audience? If it is not, then these are probable not the main social networking sites that you should be focusing on.

Note that Digg attracts more users than all the other social bookmarking sites combined. Similar to how MySpace dominates the social networking space (and gets the lion share of advertising dollars), Digg is the dominate social bookmarking site. If you are trying to reach this audience, then you have to include Digg in your marketing efforts, simply because the audience is so large, relative to everyone else in this space.

There are so many websites all over the internet so it's essential to promote and optimize your website. A new website needs to be visible to search engines. Before submitting your site to search engines it is very important to optimize your website. Step 1. - Analyze your competition
The best way to start optimizing your web site is analyze your competition. Take a look at the web pages that currently have top rankings (Top 10) on Google for targeted keywords and try to find out what these pages have done to get these rankings.
- analyze the first top ten web sites related to your branch
- analyze keywords they are using
- look at their source code, meta tags
- look at their keyword density
- look at their comment tag, alt tags, title tag
- internal and external links on their websites
- look how many sites linking to them
- check out the quality and link popularity of sites that are linking to your competitors
- look how many pages they have
After all you can tell is it easy to beat your competition or it is not.

Step 2. - Start to improve your website with quality content
When optimizing your website always use keyword in the meta tags which are reflected in your page. It is not going to help your search engine ranking if the page has nothing to do with the topic.

Step 3. Choose the right keywords.

Step 4.Creating meta tags - TITLE Tag
The most important tag is the Title tag, because it is in the head section of your website and many search engines use it. Title tag should be short (about 14 words), descriptive and to the point. The title is appeared on first line in the search engines.

Step 5. Creating meta tags - DESCRIPTION Tag The next important meta tag is description tag. It describes content of your web page
- shouldn't be longer than 120 characters
- description is for the search engines not for the viewers to see

Step 6. Creating meta tags - KEYWORD Tag
- use the most important keywords that your website represents
- we recommend to use 5 keywords separated by a commas
- one keyword should have 1 - 3 words

Step 7.Creating meta tags - ROBOT Tags

Step 8. - Check your website URL before submit to search engines. Your website should be finished without errors:
- no broken links
- no spelling mistakes
- have a good design
- no html tag mistakes
- have a site map

Step 9. - Submit your website to search engines
Submit your website into the most important search engines, it brings you the most of traffic. 1. Feedburner - It generates an smart feed compatible with all feed readers for free like my feed. It allows you to put easy subscribe buttons for XML, Add to yahoo, Add to Newsgator, Add to MSN etc. Read about how their single feed policy can benefit you. It can give you a cool feed count chicklet button to show how many readers are using your feed to read your blog. It also gives you a headline animator which you can attach to your blog to display the recent 5 posts in a nice animated fashion. You can get an authentic Creative Common license, get a browser friendly RSS feed, Splice photos and links and more…

2. Haloscan - Trackback is an essential component of blogging these days. Unfortunately Blogger does not have trackback. Haloscan provides you with a seamless way to integrate free trackback in your blog by adding a small code. You can also integrate their comments component if you like to replace the Blogger comments. The benefits are that you can edit Haloscan comments, and open them in a pop up and keep them separate from your post (Blogger allows you to only delete comments and not edit them, also on the post page all comments will show whether you like it or not). Maybe it is this the fastest way to host an image on the web. Allows lots of image format, hotlinking, transloading from other sites. Its a good idea to register to keep track of all your images in one place. It is much convenient than the proposed Hello and Picassa options…

5 - Sitemeter - Just takes 5 minutes to get a free tracker which gives you realtime site traffic statistics to check the quantity and quality of your site traffic with detailed referrer and geographic data. I have checked out several other tracking sites, but this one seems the best. Although you need to keep a counter visible (as a logo, visitor counter) and the statistics can be made private too. StatCounter gives much more detailed statistics and the counter is totally invisible and free totally till you start getting large traffic, when you need to pay. But the disadvantage is that both of these track the last 100 visitors only, while another free service Extreme Tracking tracks them all… but you statistics cannot be made private. More options I like are Google Analytics for deep traffic statistical analysis and it is hidden too.

6. Feedblitz - It quickly allows your blog visitors to subscribe by email to your new posts. They just have to enter their email. You decide which page opens after they press Subscribe. A quick confirmatory email to them and they get 1 email daily with all your new posts. You can decide if you want to send the full post or short posts with defined number of characters. Very good to keep your subscribers informed of new posts. It allows them to unsubscribe easily also.

7. My Blog Log - Tracks outgoing links to let you know where your traffic is going. The free limited version data is not in much detail, yet provides a good idea. You can also add a Top 5 Our Links module to your web site. Now they have a MyBlogLog community to get some extra site traffic too.

8 AudioBlogger- Audioblogger allows free unlimited audio posts from any phone to your Blogger blog. You call the number (Currently a US phone number), record a post, then your blog is updated with an audioblogger icon and a link to your recorded audio.

9. w.bloggar - It is a Post and Template editor, with several features and resources that the browser based blog editors do not offer. It enables users to have only one interface to several accounts hosted on several different sites, using different publishing systems. Helps to manage multiple blogs on Blogger very effectively.

10 Blogger Mobile - opens a new concept of Moblogging i.e. blogging by your mobile phone. When you send text or photos from your mobile device to go@blogger.com they’re automatically posted to your new blog page.

11. Blogexplosion - helps you get confirmed traffic to your blog. The principle is simple, you visit other peoples blogs and they visit yours. For every 2 blogs you visit, one visitor comes to you.
