The beauty I see though my eyes. The beauty I feel in my mind. One give pleasure to my eyes, other to my mind. are these different ? are they synchronised ? Whenever I delve myself to sort out theses questions. It perplex me.I usually come out from the conundrum, saying myself may be other time. As the sun rises everyday, so is the moon. One day, a face crossed through my eyes, perhaps in my mind as well. Circuit completed and a bell rang. Loud enough but soothing. Yes it is because my inner can hear.

Save Energy while searching web!

It was brunch time. I was sipping tea and doing some mundane task in the office.One of my colleague,seating in the adjacent cubicle to me, was searching on the net,although a very usual phenomenon. Nothing fancy in it .What caught my attention that his browser window was completely black .I asked him what happened to your computer screen (as it was not milky white google screen). He told me that nothing wrong with his screen and webpage color was black. Actually, He was using a searching tool ,"blackle.Com" ( in fact, it uses Custom google search facility to populate search results). But ,million dollar question is that what makes it different. It is based on the idea to diminish the energy consumption by PCs monitor while searching the web.

According to Blackle.com, "Blackle saves energy because the screen is predominantly black. Image displayed is primarily a function of the user's color settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen.Roberson et al, 2002 ".

More than 2 million watt hours saved as per the website claim. The website is owned by an Australian company Heap Media.

Sorting Algorithms! so I am going to refer you to some online study material,where you can learn it. OK...sounds good. Often questions asked to name some sorting algorithms like (selection,bubble,insertion...etc) .When someone ask you to differentiate them ,you may find yourself in trouble. Another question can be, which one is better or best? One may give answer like ...quick sort. But this type of answer is incorrect. Because runtime complexity of these algorithm depends on data size as well as type of data. What i mean to say is one should learn these algorithm properly and understand the nuances ...

My tryst with Linux

Dear visitors ! In this post i am going to share my experience with linux as a newbie. For a guy who worked on windows for years and got indulged with GUI interface of windows , it's very difficult to switch to Linux system. The same was situation with me (or i would say horrible experience :) ).

But one guy (not sure :)) was always present to help me ,GOOGLE. It made my task easy. I can say , to google up is the best solution for any problems (it's proved :D).

As there are many distributions of Linux is available,for developers and general users. It's better to start with more user friendly one, that's UBUNTU (as linux fo human beings). I know developers will differ to me at this point.

Well i started with ubuntu and later tried other distros too. In case of ubuntu ,it's free software, supported repositories so it's easy to install and configure any software package. Initially i was using it for only programming purposes (as used in my college lab) .
Now i am trying to do some Linux system based project so that get more proficiency in Linux system. I am trying project using ubuntu, and good thing is i am learning lot.

So future post i will share more experiences , i hope they will be more technical. So "hope for the best,prepare for the worst" with this moto, me signing off :).

PS: i have attached a guide contain usage of linux command ,i found this one through internet, i hope this will help you ...

How to do assembly programs using MASM

Assembling and Running Assembly Language Programs
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An assembly language program must be assembled and linked before it can be executed.

The assembler produces an object file (extension .OBJ). This file is taken by the linker and an

executable program (extension .EXE) is produced, assuming there were no errors in the

program.We use the MASM assembler and the LINK linker. These are available on NAL under

Programming: “MASM files v5.0”.

When saving the file with Notepad, you MUST save it with the “File Type” set to “All Files”.

You should now select the MS-DOS Prompt (Command PROMPT) from the Start button menu (sometimes under Programs option).

you now get an MS-DOS window where you have to enter commands by typing the name of the command you wish to use. Common commands are

TYPE filename to display the file filename on the screen;

DEL filename to delete the file called filename

COPY filename newname: to make a copy of filename called newname

To view your program, you may use the TYPE program:

C:\> type C:TEST.ASM

To do assembly language programming MASM assembler you can follow these steps ::

1.) Install software MASM 6.15 on your PC. (you can find this in our download section)

2.) use NOTEPAD as text editor.(you can use any text editor also such as-notepad++,dos editor etc.)

3.) Type your assembly code on text editor and save it with file extension .asm

for example:-type following code and save with file name test.asm

4.) To assemble the program use command ::

C:\> masm test

(note:-here we assume that the program is saved in c:\ drive ,in other case you have to specify the full path of your program location.)

5.)For linking the object file created after assembling use command ::

C:\> link test

Run File [C:TEST.EXE]: Press Return

List File [NUL.MAP]: Press Return

6.) To run your program, simply enter its name:

In the event of errors, you must edit your program and correct the errors. Then you repeat the above steps to assemble and link your program, before running it.

Similarly, if you modify your program, you must assemble and link it before running it again.

Step 2:- Burn ISO image by NERO (or any dvd burner)

using burn image option.

(Caution: Don't burn DVD using data DVD option)
