Internet services provider Bharti Airtel is all set to launch a price war in the broadband segment, with plans to offer high bandwidth at low prices. The company has reduced the monthly fee for 1Mbps speed connection from Rs 2,999 to Rs 1,699 and is also offering additional free value-added services such as games and software worth Rs 500. It has also dropped tariff for the 512 kbps connection by 31 per cent from Rs 1,599 to Rs 1,099 a month, making it one of the cheapest fibre optical cable-based broadband services in the market. Of course, the new plans do fall under the Fair Usage Policy (FUP), but with the company not announcing any new regulations, the last FUP should remain valid. In this, a 1Mbps line had a transfer limit of 100GB per month, after which it would be restricted to 512Kbps of transfer speeds. Google loves to play with its doodle on each and every events, occasions or holidays. We have earlier seen Large Hadron Collider as well as Mothers Day logo on Google Homepage. Today, on the event of Solar Eclipse, Google strikes again with its amazing Solar Eclipse 2009 logo.

The solar eclipse of July 22, 2009, is the longest total solar eclipse of the 21st century, lasting at most 6 minutes, 39 seconds. It has caused tourist interest in eastern China, Nepal and India.

The eclipse is part of saros series 136, like the record-setting solar eclipse of July 11, 1991. The next event from this series will be on August 2, 2027. This will be the second in the series of three eclipses in a month, with the lunar eclipse on July 7 and the lunar eclipse on August 6.

This solar eclipse will be the longest total solar eclipse that will occur in the 21st century, and will not be surpassed in duration until June 13, 2132. Totality will last for up to 6 minutes and 39 seconds, with the maximum eclipse occurring in the ocean at 02:35:21 UTC about 100 km south of the Bonin Islands, southeast of Japan.

Recently Microsoft released the Release Candidate (RC) of Windows 7. It is solely for testing purpose and should be downloaded and installed only by experienced computer users. It is not recommended to install Windows 7 on your primary home or business computer as your system may crash and you could lose all your important files.

Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) is the pre-release version of Windows 7. The RC will expire June 1, 2010, and the bi-hourly shutdowns will begin on March 1, 2010. If you are running Windows XP, you'll need to back up your data and then do a clean installation of the Windows 7 RC. After installing, you will need to reinstall applications and restore your files. If you're running Windows Vista, you can install Window 7 RC without having to back up and reinstall your programs and data.

Windows 7 Is Coming This August, Not In October!

According to the rumors, it was expected that Windows 7 will be releasing during October 2009. Acer has also announced that it will sell Z5600, a Windows 7 enabled PC, from October 23, 2009. But we have created a detailed report that will explain you why Windows 7 will be released on the end of August 2009.

As per our research, we have found out that Windows XP was released on October 25, 2001, just 115 days after the release of Windows XP RC1. And in case of Windows Vista, it was released on January 30, 2007, i.e. 138 days after the release of Windows Vista RC1.

As Windows 7 RC1 is coming on May 5, 2009 it is clear that Windows 7 will be released during the end of August. Till then you can get ready to grab the copy of Windows 7 RC1 which will be available for download from tomorrow onwards. We just hope this time there would be no issues on the Microsoft servers.

to your bookmarks bar.

For Internet Explorer Users:
1. Right click on the bookmarklet above and click on Add to Favorites...
2. When warned you might be adding an un-safe link to your favorites, click Yes. All the link does is open a new page, and providing it the current page's URL.
3. Click on Create in >> to reveal your bookmark folders
4. Select the Links bookmark folder
5. Click OK.

Now whenever you want to convert a page, just click the link from your bookmarks bar and the current site will be converted to PDF format.

Many of my blog readers asked me how to signout from Google Talk Labs Edition? This question was asked to me because Google Talk Labs Edition does not provide the option to signout directly from the client.

To Signout from Google Talk Labs Edition, right click the Google Talk Labs Edition icon in taskbar and select Signout. It is as simple as that. Most of the users were confused because Google has not provided the option to signout from the client itself. We hope Google will add the signout option in the client, in the coming days.
