Allow the system to accept zero ($0) so that the error does not prevent efile. Currently are just putting $1 to workaround the problem but this is not correct.

In Proconnect tax online I would like the Postal Code (not the Zip Code) be able to accept Canadian postal code with alpha.

And my first idea for ProConnect: Make it possible to make military adjustments on Line 7 in Column E - California wants those adjustments made in Column E not in Column B as it currently does when you tick the box Military Adjustment All on the W2 screen. Refer to The TaxBook California Edition pages 3-25 to 3-29. This is for TP domiciled in CA but NR of CA entire year, stationed outside CA entire year. I'll bet you could check with Spidell Publishing Inc as well - they're considered the Cali tax experts.

Hire more help at Intuit. I have been on hold on the phone for over an hour now, trying to get an answer to a Lacerte question from the support line. I also tried the Chat feature, but it gives a message that says all agents are busy and to try again later. I have tried the Chat function several times while on hold and still no answer using either method. You need more help if you are unable to answer calls from the users of your software, who pay a lot of money to use your product and expect to receive support as part of the package.

Make EasyAcct more of a priority.

The online help function is a travesty as well as a decision in stopping making the manuals available in PDF!

For form 3115, Part II, Line 4a..when this line is answered "No", the software populates answers on lines 4c thru 4g, which is not required.

Received an error message that my balance sheet was out of balance. Traced the problem to the current year accumulated depreciation which did not agree to the depreciation schedules. Contacted tech support and after 3 weeks of waiting and finally getting a response that was of absolutely no help I started digging into the return and discovered the problem. During 2013 I entered sales information in the 2012 Lacerte program for 2013 asset sales so I could have the correct accumulated depreciation and gain on sale calcs for interim financial statements. I have done this in the past with no problems when the year was then proforma'd for the next year. When I prepared the 2013 return for this client the accumulated depreciation on the balance sheet did not match the depreciation schedule and I received error message that my balance sheet was out of balance. Copied client to a test company in 2012, removed the 2013 sales dates and proforma'd to 2013. Calculation problems solved. Two calls to tech support thus far this year and two strike outs! First call by the time they got back to me I had also found a solution which tech said was much more "elegant" than the one they were going to suggest. Very disappointed in quality of support thus far.

Reset the number of votes available on a periodic basis (i.e. every month).

I understand why you would limit votes but I think they should be reset periodically. I voted 10 times for issues a few months back and a new issue has come up. I don't want to "unvote" the items I already felt needed my support in order to support this new issue. A rule that you can only vote 10 times a month or every 3 months would provide Intuit the ability to stop someone from flooding the website with votes but yet allow the users the flexibility to show their concerns on various topics.

Older versions of Pro included Payroll. Yes you have to pay to upgrade the tax files, etc. But no where does 2009 Pro show payroll as a feature of the software. I still don't know if it does or does not
